One of my top 3 favorite teachers at AVC. He knows what he is talking about and you learn so much. I had him for 232 ( child psych.) and 101. He doesn't require any papers... just tests and group presentations. I'm a psych. major and I learnd so much from him:)

Best psych teaching in the world. His lectures are off the hook, everyone gets involved...everyone. No papers to write, just test- multiple choice. A lot of extra credit. Trust me, go to his lectures, they're great. Take this class. Do not take any other psych class. Seriously!

Professor Taylor was awesome! He really gives you all the answers, and gives you and option on writing a term paper or not. He lets you go to an event instead. Really awesome, don't miss first 3 times or may be dropped!

This class was sooo easy. 4 tests and 1 paper which can only be like 3 pages as long as you format it right. He gives you "hints" for his tests of which a few questions out of the 50 are always on each and every test. He makes its really hard to fail his class. Curves the test scores too :D

I never knew what to expect from a psychology class. Dr. Taylors method of teaching is exceptional. He is clear and and very informative concerning the study of psychology. He is not just a textbook teacher but helps you grasp the concepts thru his experiences. Very funny never a dull moment. Knows how to carry a class. I highly recommend him.

He is honestly one of the most amazing teachers I've had here in AVC. His lectures are very interesting. He provides extra credit. You only have one written assignment which is an easy A. Yes, you need you read. But the book is interesting too. If I had to take this course again I would choose him in a heartbeat

Dr. Taylor is one of the best professors out there. Pay attention to lectures and you'll be fine. He often goes off on an unrelated tangent, but he is VERY knowledgeable and keeps the class entertained. No homework, just one term paper and 3 tests plus Final.

Dr Taylor was the best Psychology teacher I have had. By the time i repeated this course I had already taken it 3x before and got a D all three times. I was able to bring up my grade to a B and his passion helped me make my decision to go into Social work!!Thank you Dr Taylor!!!:)

Professor Taylor's class was the perfect introduction to psycology. He made it easy for everyone to understand each chapter but also challenged the students to answer in their own words/give their opinions.HIGHLY RECOMENDED. i loved him and his ability to make class enjoyable while learning things that i've already taken beyond the course.

Dr. Taylor makes Psychology fun and gives so many real life examples of the concepts that they are easy to remember come class time. Grades consist of 3 tests and one term paper which he grades super easy. If you do poorly on a test, (which you shouldn't if you just pay attention in class,) he gives opportunity for extra credit. Easy A!

Keeps the class very fun and engaged, doesn't tolerate side conversation very much, and is pretty helpful with class work and revisions on papers. Please use the CD Rom that comes with the book, thus is where test questions come from. Dr Taylor loves when students ask him questions because I think he genuinely wants us to care about a career in Psych. He lectures from his experiences as a Psychiatrist and a tract studies from APA. Use the required paper to gain a solid A in the class.

He's a really good professor, he's there because he actually cares about psychology. Book is a must because that's where all the material for tests comes from. Let's you submit your research paper till you get an A. He explains things thoroughly and if you have his night class he'll even release you up to an hour early, depending on the lesson. He's great.

I had him for fall 2013 & I absolutely loved Dr. Taylor! He's a sweetheart, funny, very intelligent, & helpful. He will only be mean if you disrespect him by not following his classroom rules. & if you get stuck on something he will make sure you get it as long as you ask for help. What he goes over in lecture is exactly what will be in his exams.

I loved him. He's so nice and funny and he really wants you to get a good grade. Take him! Trust me you will end up loving him too!

I really look forward to his class every week, he is a very kind man and really teaches things that you need for school but that also can change your life in a very positive way. Dr. Taylor's class is super laid back, but don't be lulled into a false sense of security; he tests you on EVERYTHING! You are expected to know the material whether or not it is gone over in lecture. He's a good guy, and willing to work with students who aren't doing well. If u read and pay attention to the lecture, this class should be an easy A.

Dr. Taylor is seriously the best! He is an amazing and compassionate person. He gives hilarious lectures that are never boring. I suggest taking good notes with definitions. Its a lot of writing but you'll be thankful in case he lets you have an open note test. He's one of those teachers that makes you want to change your major. Very rare.

Had Dr. Taylor for psy 101 and it was an enjoyable class but he did get off topic at times but he is such an amazing person and has great life stories. Very helpful with the APA paper and tests are multiple choice and open notes. I would take his class again :)

I took Dr. Taylor for PSY235 and I loved him! He does go off track sometimes, but if you do your reading like you're supposed to, then you will pass. His tests are a little hard and oddly worded sometimes but a lot of it is common sense. He assigns one APA paper and gives you the opportunity to improve your grade if you do not do well.

Made a long lecture interesting! He doesn't have a set of notes for you to follow, he explains terms and ideas into concepts to understand them.

One of the nicest professors. I was sick a few times and he let me make up my test. He wants everyone to pass his class. He offers a lot of extra credit too. Make sure you take really good book notes for tests, he lets you use them. Overall, very laid back and not hard class at all if you take good notes and keep up with reading the chapters:)

EASY A! his tests are easy, hes really nice and funny and makes you feel comfortable. NO homework just 4 tests and 1 essay. he gives a lot of extra credit and works with you. his lectures are understandable and gives examples to help you understand. make sure to take notes from the book!

Doc. Taylor is the man! Teaching style is one of the best in the school, of course he still has to teach from the book so expect some reading from the book but open your ears and listen to real life experience, theres where youll really learn. Youll either appreciate it and love it or you wont. A few challenging concepts but easy work.

Taylor loves to talk. He ensures everyone in the class speaks up & participates. If you are looking to sit in class & not participate then don't take this class. At times his lectures are boring and the information he teaches can be a little confusing since he isn't the most organized professor. Show up to class, do what he says, & you'll get an A.

Dr. Taylor was experienced, entertaining; always used personal/professional experiences in his lectures to make the lessons more understandable. He was fair grader, participation was a big winner with him. He was helpful, easy to get ahold of, made time for any and all students. Absolutely will take him again if I need any other psych courses!

A textbook is required but you can also use your own, he doesnt mind. PAY ATTENTION in class, and TAKE NOTES! This is really important for tests. He is very friendly and kind, and loves answering questions. He told me to be more talkative during lecture so I recommend asking questions periodically. Overall, great teacher!

Professor Taylor was absolutely wonderful! you can use your notes on the quizzes, he does like to talk and share personal stories, during a lecture which can sometimes go off topic but he's also funny. I took Taylor for psy101 during fall hes a great professor very entertaining especially if you have a active class. Participation is key. You dont need the book can go based off notes but reading through the chapters will help with your grade. DO SHOW UP, PERFECT CLASS ATTENDANTS OPEN NOTE TESTS. If he see's people not showing NO open note

There is a lot of information to be learned but Dr. Taylor makes it so you can easily understand it. He's there for questions and loves when people participate in the class. If you're not a psych major, he'll make you want to be.

Dr. Taylor was great. I took his class Spring 2019. Hes VERY generous to the class as it relates to helping in anyway he can. If you read or at the very minimum grab some key vocabulary words before class, you can just cruise during his lectures, which are heavy in story telling (yet very practical and valuable). Cant miss with Dr. Taylor!

Mr Taylor was my favorite teacher this year. You could tell he really tried and wanted his students to learn. Sometimes he lost his patience but that is understandable. There are a lot of tests and quizzes, but you will be okay if you read the book. Sweet man. Definitely recommend

I took his 101 class in high school and hearing about his experiences really inspired me to major in Psychology. He's obviously very passionate about his work. The class was online, and the professor was very clear with the syllabus and very helpful. He provided many resources, and any additional help needed. Participation goes a long way in this class, assignments are clear. I recommend taking this class for psych this professor is very helpful, and I would take this class again.
