A really fun and entertaining teacher. Probably the best college teacher I've had yet.

Great sense of humor. Makes the class interesting and fun. The writing assignments can be a bit much but it wasn?t that bad. Brings a lot of unpopular subjects to the forefront. I highly recommend him. Plus he?s a cutie!

If you just pay attention and come you will do a good job.

For those who haven't had a literature class in a while, prepare to work. He is great about helping during office hours and really wants you to understand and enjoy the material. I loved this class because he made us THINK! He encouraged us to argue for our view points, not just accept that his was the right answer. I loved this class!

This guy is cool. Intense, but helpful at the same time. You will learn from this guy and he makes it fun.

this guy is awesome! makes the class very fun doesnt give alot of work. as long as you do the reading and actually try its very easy to get an A. its one of those classes you dont mind going too. plus hes super hot!

Loved this class! Discussions and group projects really help in learning the material. He is always willing to help and gives great feedback. Read the text assigned, show up to participate, turn in papers on time and you will be golden! You can tell that he really loves what he does. I hope that he will eventually teach other classes!

He really is a great teacher. I just finished his class and it was an easy A. All you have to do is show up and do your work (not even hard, mostly just busy work homework). As long as you don't fall behind the class is a lot of fun. Would definitely take again!

yo this was my dude both of his classes are an easy A. All you have to do is put forth effort, attend class daily(if you miss he allows you to make up 3 assignments which was super cool), last but certainly not least participation is key to passing his class. I'll recommend him for anyone who has to take an English class.

He's a great teacher. He provides a clear syllabus in the begining of the course along with all of the guidlines and due dates for the papers. Don't get the MLA book, I've only used it once the whole time. After the first half of the semester he begins to have workshops to have a chance to work on your paper. Very easy and fun class to take!

He was really funny and really easy to work with. Open book quizzes and writing assignments ALWAYS (except for the final). Students get to pick the topic that the class will study and if he says to print out an article, you need to have it and it'll be important.

Dr. Thomas is an amazing professor. He has this incredible ability to create a writer out of anybody (I'm a testimate to that lol). I highly suggest taking his classes to everyone I talk to.

Dr. Thomas is an intelligent UF professor. His class was a little difficult, but he challenged us to be our best. Gave a lot of help when needed. He was my biggest inspiration. I tell people I took a UF class. I didn't put a lot of effort into it and pulled off a high C. HIGHLY recommended. He's fun, and CLEAR, and chose his calling.

Awesome teacher! I changed my schedule to take 1102 with him. He is passionate about writing. If you come to class and work hard, you will get a good grade. If you miss class or don't do the work, you won't. Your choice. He doesn't use the book, only the Pocket Style Manual. He is one of those teachers you will always remember.

Very nice teacher. Allows you to revise essays all semester before turning final copies in at the end. Explains things very clearly.

Overall a great teacher. He motivates you to not only get the assignment done but to maximize your potential as a writer. This class is not easy but he does a good job and it is easy to make a B if you turn everything in on time.

Dr. Thomas is by far the greatest English professor. He explains with clarity and although attendance is mandatory, it is for your benefit to be there for his class. You learn so much and he is fun, laid back and is always willing to help you. Must have pocket manual, not book. He also allows for your to revise and resubmit. Highly recommended!

AMAZING teacher, by far the most helpful teacher I have ever had at DSC. He does expect a lot from his students as far as showing up to class and turning in work. Neither are mandatory but your grade will suffer. Super funny, and understanding with the his students. His assignments made me actually want to write the assignments given out(: LOVE HIM

What a great professor, I was so unbelievably lucky to get him. He is tough with grading, but only because he knows you can do better. He is so funny and always willing to help. He will bend backwards for his students. I wish everyone could get the chance to experience his class!

He is funny, and makes class interesting, but his grading is horrible. I've never struggled in English before until I had him. I had his half online half class. It was great in class, but online he was a rude with grading. I don't really recommend him.

Not a bad teacher at all. I never failed a paper and taking his class even improved my writing skills. If you do fail a paper though you have to have a mandatory revision session with him before you can rewrite and submit it.

he is great teacher! very funny and keeps the class entertained. i look forward to going to this class just because he makes the environment so much fun and amussing. truly suggest him as a teacher!!! take his class, you wont regret it! and the papers are generally easy aswell to the workload!

Awesome Professor. He is very well educated, and he wants everyone to succeed. Extremely easy to talk too, and always has a smile on his face which makes the class environment very friendly. He grades strict so give it your all, and don't come half stepping. Overall he's a great Professor and if you are in college to LEARN than take him.

Very cool and down to earth guy, younger, doctorate in English so hes extremely knowledgeable in the subjects. Material we read was decent. Always laughing in the class. Assignments arent the easiest, but in the end he allows you to make revisions. You can tell he wants you to learn and succeed in his class.

Very good and fun professor! He makes English sounds very easy and fun. He is hard on grading but only because he wants everyone to give it all in his class.He teaches really well, so you will learn and succeed in his class. I highly recommend him! :-)

Literally all you have to do to pass, is show up and do the work. No tests. Not a single one. Just small assignments and 5 "big" papers (500-900 words). He gives feed back and very specific criteria on the rough drafts, so it's easy to fix your paper and get a B on the final draft.

Dr. Thomas is a great professor. He really knows what he is talking about and he will help you if you reach out to him. Unfortunately, he is a tough grader since he wants you to be a successful writer. His workload is not forgiving either. Don't take this class if you cannot make it one of your only priorities or you struggled in ENC1101.

Dr. Thomas was a great teacher! He was very clear on assignments and they weren't long at all. There was more work in his class than my other college classes but they were helpful and decently easy. I definitely would've taken him for 1102 but I didn't have room in my schedule.

Dr. Thomas is an amazing teacher! He puts you in groups based on a questionnaire, and you get to know your classmates better. You do have to work hard if you want to pass his class, so if you want an easy A then I suggest finding a different English professor.

Dr. Thomas was an amazing, lively professor. We had five writing assignments each around 4 -6 pages and about nine 1000 word summary assignments. There were no tests or quizzes, only a final which basically was a portfolio of all your work. Be expecting to write an essay every weekend, worth the A.

He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He tells you from day one what his requirements to pass the class are. He is a funny professor who helps you if you ask for. I say definitely take an English course with him.

Professor Harun was great, I would take him again but I wanted another online English class so I had to take someone else. He gives great feedback, helpful and nice. I definitely recommend him to other students who are taking an English course. I did the online, as easy and not much work. you get a lot of time to revise papers, which helps.

If you've taken Professor Thomas for ENC 1101 then you should already know what he expects in his class. He makes sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to the writing assignments.

Great professor. Only 4 writing assignments and gives a lot of extra credit. You are able to revise 2 writing assignments at the end of the year to get a better grade. If you turn the assignments in on time you get extra credit. He likes to make jokes and is very bright. I will definitely try to take his 1102 class next semester.

Professor Thomas was one of the professors I had my first semester dual enrolling my junior year of high school and he's still to this day my favorite! I'm going off to undergrad school and I hope to find more professors like him! Definitely not a super easy A, but worth your time! He's a great professor.

Dr. T was easy to be around. He gives great feedback on assignments and is always willing to help. I wish I had taken him for enc1 as well.

Had Dr Dorbad for ENC 1101 and 1102. Best English teacher. Very serious and funny. I have heard great things about Dr. Thomas as well. He is a more understanding professor. His writing fellow Emily during the 2015-16 year was a very motivational and helpful person. So far Dr T's best writing fellow but tends to be too flirty. This is one down fall

I took him for ENC1101 and 1102 received an A in both. He is Very caring, very available. There are only 4 papers for this course though they don't determine whether you pass or fail. As long as you show up and participate in class he will work with you. He really knows what he's talking about and trys to make his class as interesting as possible.

Dr. Thomas clearly wants you to succeed. Expects assignments on time which is reasonable. Always willing to work with you. Participate and there is extra credit.

He was one of the best Professors I had while attending Daytona State College. was always willing to help inside and outside of class. He always gave great feedback to help me get A's on assignments. Also has a awesome personality and sense of humor, i would highly recommend taking all of his courses.

Dr. Thomas is an AMAZING college professor. I am taking my 2nd course with him online and everything is super organized and clearly explained. You do need to put in work in order to get a good grade in his class, but shouldn't you always? He always makes it clear that he is there to help you and provides so many resources to ensure your success.

Love him! Took him for ENC1101. Just finished his LIT2000 class. Now, signed up for his ENC1102 class. Great guy. If you actually try, you will pass. He works with you and is very clear in what he wants. If you don't put in the effort, you wont agree. Lots of peer discussions and reviewing.

I enjoyed Professor Thomas's class. His class does teach you to approach reading a piece of literature differently and help you understand it in a way you didn't before. There were quite of papers to do, but the breakdown of it made it easy. He provides good feedback to better your paper and achieve a higher grade.

Professor Thomas's class was very easy. He went over everything that was necessary to know, the papers were very easy to write mainly because he provided in depth directions and stated what was expected. His overall goal is for his students to make an A, I would most defiantly recommend you take his class.

Attendance is very important and you get extra credit for not missing any classes. The papers arent that hard but he does make you work for it. Overall, hes a very nice professor and is very caring and wants everyone to succeed.

I had Professor Thomas for 1101 (he prefers to go by Dr. T) and can easily say he made the class the most fun class I have ever taken, while still teaching us the necessary material. The class is paper-based, and every few weeks we will have a different style of paper due. He gives lots of constructive criticism and jokes a lot with his students.

I took Dr. T.'s online LIT 2000 for the summer A term 2020. There was a lot of work but he made it fun and doable. He was easy to get in touch with and was quick to respond. He was flexible in his means of interaction and seemed caring and interested in his students. The only negative thing I can say is that I think he was a tough grader.

Had Professor Thomas a few years back and he's one of the best professors I had at DSC. If you have any issues with assignments he will most definitely make time to help with any questions you have. There's a lot of homework and papers but he lets you know up front on the first day of class what you're getting into that semester.

He is easy going. Has good teaching skills. Emotionally Intelligent, he captures your attention. The class does not seem long when you are with him.

Professor Thomas is a great teacher, he is very hard when it comes to grading. One little mistake and he takes a decent amount of points off. There are no quizzes, its just all assignments. He honestly loves to give people Cs. If you think your paper is great I promise you he will find a way to take 20 points off. On the feedback he isnt clear.

He will make it seem like you are doing fantastic on your assignment but then grades it a low C. Ive heard he was a tough grader but I did not listen. If you like the challenge then this professor is right for you. I will not recommend this professor if you struggle in this topic. I was always so good in this course but just not his.

Although he grades tougher than some, he has been one of my favorite teachers. I like to participate and ask questions, and he gives very clear answers and feedback. I also think that the textbook used in this course is affordable and easy to use.

Dr. T was a pretty great professor. He keeps you very busy throughout semester but he's very lenient on his turn in dates. On every assignment he allowed an extra week on most assignments to turn in without any penalty. He also is very helpful in his explanations but I wish I would've taken in person.

Professor Thomas is clearly a very passionate teacher that cares about his students and wanting them to succeed. Although there is plenty of work, you have the whole semester to finish assignments with small deductions. He provides excellent feedback, especially if you seek it yourself.

He is a good teacher and I have great respect for him. But his way of teaching just didn't work for me. He had a different way of grading, where instead of grading based on papers he grades based on a rather strict contract. It was just very hard to adjust to and stay dedicated towards. Nothing against him as a person.

Professor Thomas is one of my favorite professors, I'm taking ENC1102 with him currently and his grading is a bit more strict in this class but ENC1101 was easy peasy. He grades a bit different than most professors but it is still a good class. Make sure to fill out the portfolios though.

Was not bad at all, however has his own weird grading system. He's very kind though and you can tell he cares about his students. There is a fair bit of homework however he isn't too harsh of a grader.
