He will give you homework to do but for better understanding for your test

This is a fairly easy class as long as you do your work and show up for class.

He is very good about answering questions and staying on topic.

What I like about this class is he will communicate with you if you are having a problem with something. Something I don't like about N/A is that I don't have any problems with what he does or how he teaches all the information is there What would I like to add? I really can't say what he does it's already fine with me.

I do not like how broad the study guide is, I wish they could be more straightforward and specific as to what is on the test. I would like to add some form of tutoring or help that we could get outside of class.

Not a hard teacher at all. Lecturers are to the point however. He does assign oral projects that we have to present but he is a pretty easy teacher

This class is fairly easy as long as you pay attention in class and take notes. The online tests and homework are both pretty simple. Oral presentations and projects are given. Professor Hou also responds to messages and emails quickly.

Very nice, responds quickly, and always willing to help. The study guide outlines are very similar to the tests, but it would be nice if we knew exactly what to focus on rather than trying to remember everything.

He is a very nice and understanding teacher. I just wish there was less of the 24-hour assignments. Simply because I play sports, sometimes with the heavy schedule I already accommodate, along with trying to balance all my other classes, it can be very stressful to complete within that time frame. Study guides would also be a nice addition!

This class is a hybrid course, with most of the lectures taking place in a Zoom setting. The work is extremely easy and the textbook is required. I would say that, overall, the professor explains everything very clearly and the class is an easy grade if you read the textbook and listen to the lectures.

I love this class. His lectures are easy to follow and so is the homework. The tests he gives can be a little difficult but if you take his online class, they're usually online. I would definitely take him again.

What I like about this class is how Mr.Hou pushes outside our comfort zone. For example we had an oral poster and we had to present it to class. What I don't like about this class is how it doesn't go into more detail about certain things. We only hit the surface of things.

Very simple

The class is easy. You might not understand what he says but everything he discusses and writes is always on Canvas.

Professor Harvey class is overall very easy if you pay attention. At times it can be hard to understand but if you review after class the notes will more than likely make sense. He will answer any question you have. The test at time won't match the core of the lecture. Be sure to study the thing he doesn't talk about often.

Mr. Hou is an excellent professor. If you don't understand something, you can ask him to explain it to you. He realizes that you have a life and that things happen, and he will not hold it against you if you discuss it with him.

Take notes seriously they will help you tremendously on test. Also wish we could see our grades more.

He made our class hybrid, very easy. Only two tests in the semester, very easy. Accent strong, lectures are short though. You learn more from the online studies than the in class lectures.

Mr. Hou is very understanding of busy schedules and lenient with homework and grades. Just study the material you do your assignments on and attend lectures where 10-minute breaks are provided you will pass the tests he assigns. He doesn't give much homework and you don't attend class each class session. He is optimistic and welcoming.

His Forensic Survey class is fairly easy as long as you do the work you should be okay

Professor Hou is a very nice and understanding professor. Our class is a hybrid, online on Mondays and in person on Wednesdays. Do your homework (very easy, usually 8-10 questions from the book). They are about 1-8 questions on the tests (no multiple choice) but it isn't difficult. Just make sure you communicate with him and be respectful.

I was fine with his class, I enjoy lecture-heavy courses with homework. All of it is doable, and he's very sympathetic to students if there are good reasons behind it. So don't hesitate to take his course.

Taking him for senior capstone was fun. I enjoyed the class, we were given clear and easy topics to create our presentation on to present. I like that he gives us enough time to plan and do our assignments and he's very understanding as well. I wouldn't change anything about the class. He's a great teacher.

Took Dr. Hou for CHE 141 and lab. Some of our classes were in person some we had online assignments. Work isn't hard but you to have to take your own time to study for tests. His accent is sometimes hard to follow so also had to go back to review lectures on my own time as well.

To always take notes in the class and show up!! He teaches very well and is willingly to go over things multiple times.

I love Dr. Hou. This is my second semester with him teaching both my chemistry courses, and the course is structured well. He also gives many make-up or extra credit opportunities to still pass the class if you've failed something major.

This class isn't really interactive so focusing on the lectures is the key to passing. make sure you go over your notes often. He's a pretty good teacher, I just wish he gave us a little more time to study for our midterm. I would take him again.

One thing I like about this class is the amount of independence Dr. Hou gives us. We were given a lecture and information and we are given adequate amount of time to do our own studying in the textbook and use of AI. One thing I would change is the time of the class. 8 am is the only time I have taken Dr. Hou and I struggle to get up early!

Dr. Hou is a cool straight forward professor, I take him for forensic science survey right now and have a 97 as of now (mid semester).

The class is very good. He follows the schedule exactly how it is, so no surprises. Only thing I would say is to really study for exams because they are mostly open ended questions.

The teaching style of Professor Hou is clear and easy to understand. He doesn't go too fast nor blows through lectures but takes the time to answer any questions a student may have. He's also very easy to get into contact with outside the classroom if you have a question (i.e. if an assignment hasn't been yet posted to Canvas).

I would take this class again by this professor because he doesn't require too much. Just come to class, get the material, turn in the homework and you'll literally receive an A. Test are in person but if you're prepared that shouldn't matter or gender your progression in the class.
