Dr. Lehman is a rare breed of teacher. He makes the material clear and interesting. He opened my eyes to interpret "symbolism" in Amer. Literature and had me looking forward to his class (summer session 8:30-10:30pm). That says it all!!! Colleges would be wise to have this man train professors on "how to instruct" !!

Childrens Literature. I was in this summer session of the class in 05 and he knew how to make class fun. The discussions were fun as well as the material. If you think fairy tales are just for children, think again. I wrote my own fairy tale in place of doing the paper. He's leniant and wants you to have fun.

I am in his children's literature class right now. It is def. one of the best classes I ever took. He makes it so fun and entertaining that I dont even want to miss a day of class. Every class I learn something new, and he always keeps everyone laughing. It's kind of impossible not to like him.

He's the best professor i've had at Nassau so far. As long as you do the readings you'll pass. And the readings are fairy tales so they're really easy. He tells you when you're having a pop quiz which is awesome and he's just a cool guy overall. He's good at what he does too cuz he teaches while also talking about random stuff so it's not boring =]

At first children's literature was boring, but as I continue to class, Dr Lehman made class fun. He tells us what fairy tales truly means because they have meanings. Apart from that is he a nice professor and is is very helpful. Read your book and you will well. He is not hard at all. In any subject you should study and read well.

Mr. Lehman is the best english professor by far! He is really nice, caring, down to earth. He is funny and makes class pretty interesting. He is such a helpful teacher. He keeps it real and doesnt sugar coat anything! He cracks atleast 3 jokes throughout the class. He works with you so that you can maintain a high grade in the class.

Best teacher I have ever had and the term is only two weeks old. He cares alot about students and in half a month I learned a full months worth about what fairy tales are all about. He made us take an oath that no matter what we learned as adults children still need them to get even with their enemies- us.

Even the the term is only 2 weeks long so far, I have learned more about fairy tales and what they really mean with sex and violence and hidden meanings than in my entire life. Thanks a lot Doc for scaring me from telling my children these stories forever. LOL

Awesome teacher! I loved this class, every class was filled with interesting and insightful information. He teaches you to open up your mind and really think. If you take this class take lots of notes of EVERYTHING you hear even if it's off topic. (comes in handy on pop quizzes) I am definitely going to try to take his children's literature class.

Awesome and very interesting professor!

This class was as good as it gets if you must take Composition. Dr. Lehman has an interesting teaching method. Taught in a somewhat philosophical manner but open discussion is not warranted. It's a writing course! Be prepared to do a lot of listening, save comments for paper. Key to success: listen/remember all he says.

Without any doubt the best professor I have ever had in three years of college. I am still laughing thinking of some of his stories and will always remember the philosophy in The Little Prince. Although he was suffering from gum surgery he never missed a class and stayed late to answer all questions. Doc you are the greatest. Rest in Florida.

I have attempted English 101 every semester since I first registered in 2010. Dr. Lehman is the first professor that actually explained his meaning behind assignments. Most important was what I learned from it and the life lessons he incorporated into his lectures. I learned more aboot myself in the 5 weeks with him then the years since 2010.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy. He is a great guy who really cares about his students. He isn't strict about attendance and his class is easy if you pay attention and take notes. I absolutely recommend his class. He's funny and very interesting.

I used to think Prof Stuart kaufman was the best teacher at NCC, but now that I have Dr. Lehman I have changed my mind. While Dr. kaufman might Lehman is the better teacher by the length of a nose, sort of like Affirmed and Ayudar (not sure of spelling but I remember seeing those horses run as a child. Great double feature with both of them.

His 102 is basically an in-depth continuation of his 101 class. He gives short and easy quizzes and doesn't emphasis on homework. He would rather you focus on your term paper. Admittedly, he can get a bit off topic but the essential information is in the text and handouts. Only available for ENG 101, 102, and 314 [look it up ;-)] during the summer.

Lehman is an awesome professor period. I am not sure what the person below me means by "an A factory". it is not an A factory at all, as some people received B's and C's.He is a deep philosopher and makes you see what is the underlying meaning behind the literature. Do your work, test, term paper, participate and you'll get an A.

He's a great teacher. The fairy tale twists were really interesting. Our term paper was to write an original fairy tale. He is very leniant on attendance.

He's is so funny and probably one of the easiest teachers I've had I really enjoyed taking his class during the summer, It went by so fast and not only that but if you do well on your tests and term paper you are exempt from the final, I got exempt and got a week off during summer. This was my first time taking a lit course and i enjoyed what the good doctor taught. He assigned fairy tales and in class he will read and explained the meaning of them. Listen closely to important things that he mention because it will be on the quiz. Everyone should take this course because its a great experience to have.

Best professor i had for first semester. Dropped previous english class and switched into his and im very glad i did. He is very funny and interesting, as well as super understanding. He will tell you important tips for life. Very easy , just attendance is mandatory since everything on the quizes are on everything he says. Get him if you can!

Professor Harvey was one of the best professors I've had so far. He really made class interesting. When I registered for English 101, I thought the class would be extremely boring but Professor Harvey has a unique way of teaching and makes you think, laugh and enjoy the class. I would definitely choose him again for future classes.

Take good notes. Many tests are open notebook. If you do expected work and write an INTERESTING term paper you cannot get less than B+. Funny as hell. Stomach hurt from laughing so much. Classes fill up quickly. Do not wait.

Get him quickly classes are gone on 15 minutes listed as TBA but only teaches 314 at night in fall term. Greatest teacher I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Too bad his favorite book, The Little Prince, was such a dud on Netflix. . Try to get him asap. Good luck.

Best thing I ever did was to get into his class late. Almost as good as legalizing pot. Fantastic and funny teacher although he had broken hand. Grab and hold him for children lit.

I had the pleasure of taking a class with professor lehman during my first year of college which was 2 years ago. Professor Lehman is one of the very few professors that I remember very vividly. Dr. Lehman has been both a friend and an educator. For two terms he has advised me how to handle problems in my life. When he teaches he always has the full attention of the class. This is mixed with his assortment of hilarious jokes which make the time pass quickly. I am happy that I wrote in his name for president last November. Lol. Will miss.

I truly believe that professor Lehman is an alter-ego for St. Exupery as he imparted his wisdom to a class filled with different aged students in his "Bildungsroman " about life. Short and sweet, no not the good doctor but my evaluation. On a scale of 1 to5 I would give him a six. Students could not ask for a better teacher or person. Give him a raise before he retires.

Doc Lehman is the most down to earth individual ever. The first class and Professor to help me embrace my college experience. He is fair and totally understanding. Had Prof Lehman for a summer class in children's literature he is great. We had very little assignments most to be done in class, a term paper, easy midterm and a final exam.
