Mr. Rahim is the best teacher I've ever had. He cares for his students and goes above and beyond to help students succeed. I've struggled with math for a long time, but after taking Algebra and Satistics with Mr Rahim I am pretty confident to take any math class. He relates math to everyday life so it is easier to understand. Great professor!

Prof Rahim is an exceptional teacher. He's a gentle man, funny and clever as well. Jokes aside, he WANTS his students to be successful (at least in his class), hence he goes over the lectures and doesn't mind repeating anything students haven't yet grasped. Quizzes and tests are easy (he doesn't give anything he doesn't go over in class).

Professor Rahim is the BEST!! If you are worries about math or just DON'T understand it for the life of you, then this is the class and teacher for you! Professor Rahim does everything he can to help his students. He lectures by jumping right into examples and homework problems. He is patient with his students, and gives partial credit on exams for work shown, even if the final answer is not correct. Outside study time is required to solidify your understanding of concepts, if that is your goal.

His class is really easy. You do half the homework in the class. He always try to relate math to everyday life. You only need the book for homework. Make sure you go to class so you dont have to do all the homework at home. He is also funny.

Rahim explains things very clearly, and doesn't assign too much homework. There is certainly homework, but you have two weeks to do each assignment, and he goes over much of it in class. If you don't understand something, ask INTELLIGENT questions. Not only will you learn more, but you'll get brownie points.

Professor Rahim is an excellent professor to take Stats with. He is very fair and very practical, he realizes that its the 21st century and teaches in a way that relates to the times. He also integrates the use of technology, calculators, making the learning experience of statistics go much smoother.

I've never been good at math, and my semester started poorly. I was freaking out, but Prof. Hasan was calm. He kept telling me that I would be okay. I attended class & tutoring, and ended strong. He's very helpful, and tells funny jokes. HW due biweekly, 3 exams, 3 quizzes, and a written project. Go to class, because he really explains everything.

I highly recommend that all students' take Instructor Hassin Rahim for all Math classes. He relates each Math section to real world applications in each chapter. I am not good at math at all but rahim made stats seems really easy and it came easy to me. He gives great examples and goes over everything exactly how they will be on the test. I would take his class again.

You have to stick with this class trough the end. IM terrible at math but he has writing project that nets you free 100 points, and drops your lowest graded test score. HIs teaching style, chapter 1 lecture explains and does some HW problems in class next chapter. this made homework easy to understand GENEROUS GRADER.

My regret is dropping this class the first time around. This time, I took his advice to make friends within the class and attended study grps regularly. Had a great experience in this class. Material was well presented. Attendance is mandatory. Professor makes class funny at time with his jokes that I think sometimes he only gets but you laugh too. After taking an awful professor the semester prior I thought I would never understand Statistics. With Mr. Hasan, I was able to understand the material and pass statistics with flying colors. He treats his students with respect and has a good sense of humor.

I took him math 13 and math 25. He really loves students. He is always happy to answer your questions. He doesn't give much homework and explains everything in class. B4 test, he will give you a study guide and also explains if you have questions on it. Test will be the same as the study guide but different numbers. He let you out early as well.

Mr. Rahim helped me understand the material of Precalculus that I have originally found to be very difficult. He was clear and articulate as well as considerate about the wellbeing of his students. Mr. Rahim is one of the very few instructors that by some magical force was able to teach me and help me understand math. It has always been a subject I struggle with but his teaching method was simple and to the point. I truly enjoyed taking this class. The professor used relevant real-world examples and explained the concepts in ways that made intuitive sense. The homework was manageable and the tests were straightforward and didn't try to "trick" you. This class inspired me to pursue a BA in statistics. I haven't taken a math class for over 10 years so coming back to school and taking math w/ Prof. Rahim was so great. He's funny and always throwing in jokes during his lectures. And he's super about making sure that you understand the concepts before we move on. Beginning of every lecture starts with review. And he allows a page of notes for tests!

Very amazing statistics teacher!!!! He lets you have onr oage double side of notes for test ( you can copy down worked problems he doesnt check) make sure you write down defenitions for words. He does half the honework problems in class. He lets you know exactly whats going to be in the test plus he reviews one lecture class before the test!!!

I've has the pleasure of taking Mr. Rahim for both algebra and statistics. He is nothing short of amazing. I am not mathematical of any sort and he inspired me to keep going. His lessons are always clear & relayed into real life concepts to help solidify the information. His tests and final exams are fair as long as you study & do your part.

Had him for an intersession statistics class. He explained things very well - to the point that I did not need to read the textbook. Tests are based on lectures and contain "free" questions, which you get points for no matter what you write (they ask you about your opinions etc.). He was very fair in terms of grading. If you want to take Statistics this semeser I advice you to take his class he gives a lot of homework which is good because it balances out your test grade and gives you practice to do well on the test. He gives good study guides. His tests are really easy you will definetly pass if you take him.

Math isn't my strong subject, and this class was tough for me, but I passed, and I'm convinced this instructor pulled me though. He was patient, clear about assignments, took extra time on the steps for each type of problem, gave homework that balanced out the tests, and his tests had no surprises. He made the class enjoyable. Prof. Rahim relates our lessons to real life which helps you understand the reason for learning the material. Although a lot of people say his class is an easy A, i don't believe it is. You have to work for your A because if you miss class, you'll be lost. Also, missing one question on a test will hurt being its usually out of 10. Finals being 20.

Hasan taught this subject with amazing clarity. Being in his class made learning math an enjoyable and easy experience to everyone, myself especially. Coming to school was anything but a drag. Rahim is a very active participant in teaching the class. He explains complex problems and uses analogy to help us better understand how to do the work. This teacher is hilarious, he will chat in class about personal experience and will make lectures to real life scenarios. He will give extra credit if needed, I told him I wasn't doing well on the exams and he said to no worry about it and I passed. Although I dont love math, Mr. Rahims class made me consider taking more math classes. Hes so hilarious and clever. His grading is based on homework, tests, and a small individual project. If you do your homework and attend lecture, theres no reason why you wouldnt pass. I now understand why his waiting list is soooo long.

Professor Rahim was a wonderful statistic instructor. Rahim gives examples that are relevant and allow you to better understand how statistics are part of life. I recommend him to anyone! Rahim was relatively easy and very fair - hw assignments & exams were super light, he lets you have cheat sheets for exams, drops lowest exam score, and lets you turn in late hw . I think Rahim is a good professor and cares about his students. However, I do prefer the online homework rather than traditional paper hw - but that's me.

11/10 would recommend to other students! Very funny lectures with Prof. Rahim and the content was easy to follow. We used the textbook for the homework, but honestly, just listen to him during the lecture and take good notes, and you won't need to read the chapters in the book. In this way, attendance was key for me to ace the class.

As someone who has completed the calc series, linear algebra, and DE, this class was a breeze Pros: - Easy to follow and has a unique teaching aspect - Uses real world examples - Syllabus is crystal clear. You can miss up to 3 lectures. I missed a few - HW and tests are very similar Exams are only 10 Qs Cons: - None. There is no way you can fail.

I went into Math 63 terrified because I am not a "math person". From the first day, it was clear that Rahim is an experienced and motivating professor! Learning objectives are clearly addressed through a variety of real world and book examples. Lectures are efficient and clear. Key concepts are compared and contrasted throughout the course.

I was very nervous to take this class. I thought I was going to hate Stats, but I ended up enjoying it. Prof. Rahin is a great math professor. He makes his class fun and interesting. I do not do well, with math classes. I was able to understand what was being taught, since he is very thorough and patient, as well. I do better with writing assignments, but math is required. Despite my troubles, I did ok in the class, because he is a great teacher.

Professor was good but not great. Spoke a good game on the first day, but as weeks went by it was nothing like promised. If you want to pass his class you must pay attention, he wants his HW and tests formatted a specific way. Also make sure to attend because he'll put you on blast the next day. Hes by far the most caring math professor Ive ever had. He does give a lot of homework but he does a lot of them in class and gives you a lot of time to complete it. He doesnt get angry at students for asking questions. He does get a little disappointed though because majority of the class would leave halfway through class during our break.

Hes won professor of the year multiple times. I originally took Professor Sioshansi and did terrible. I retook it with this professor and got an A. Hes not strict about the homework at all. As long as you try some of the questions youll get credit. He doesnt allow calculators on tests but theyre only about 10 questions and theyre super easy.

I took Rahim for Algebra and now Stats (online) and I can honestly say he's one of the best professors at SJCC. He assigns about 10 homework questions and does half of them in class as our lecture notes. His tests about open book and the questions are similar to the homework problems we do in class. Mr. Rahim has been my favorite professor at San Jose City College. You will not regret to take Mr. Rahim's class, such an excellent math professor. Explains math with daily life situations. I was very afraid of statistic, and he actually made me feel confident and understood all the material. His quizze are easy and give a little homework. Most importantly he provides extra credit in cas you do bad in your tests.

Take him! He doesn't have us do all the chapters in the book. From the chapters we do, we only do about 2-3 sections of the chapter. He assigns about 7 homework questions, but we only have to do 2-3 for hw because he does the rest with us during class as his lecture notes. He never gets mad and is always approachable and accessible outside class.

He understands learning and growth are more important that just "what do you know". He adjusted very well to online teaching, as a first year student I didn't feel overwhelmed or over worked. The tests aren't hard you just need to prepare yourself well, he allows notes and he takes out your lowest test grade, this reduced a lot of stress for me.

BEST TEACHER HANDS DOWN. I tend to zone out in the mornings, and i went back and watched the lectures at 2x speed and learned everything from the lectures. No extra work was needed. He tries to do everything in his power to make sure you understand everything. You have to put in a decent amount of effort because the last 4 chapter are hard!

Meticulous, methodical, quirky, but also witty! He does a great job as an instructor and also gives you the tools needed to succeed. If you put the work in and get extra help when you need it, then you should do good. Really passionate about his personal beliefs, but all in all a really great professor.

I chose Professor Rahim Hasan of math13. He is the best professor I have ever met. He is humorous, easy to understand and patient. He explained the assignment. He reviewed the key points of the examination, and the examination questions were almost the most basic ones. I highly recommend taking Professor Hasan's course. My grade this semester is A.

Professor Rahim is very punctual and principled but dedicated and flexible. He is professional. He explained clearly each question raised. His lectures are very clear and easy to understand. Illustrated examples explain many events in everyday life. It is easy to get an A+ if you listen to the lectures carefully. Very like him.

Professor Rahim is INCREDIBLY good at teaching! His lectures are detailed and easy to understand. In class, he works through questions straight from the homework problems so that you have a good understanding of the lesson. He is very empathetic with his students and often put our class at ease with his jokes. 10/10 would recommend.

This is my second time taking Stats, and let's say professors make a world of difference; I went from an F to a B+. I took him during winter intersession and he taught right out of the book. Gave amazing lectures, and entered class with a good attitude, and was very accommodating. Work hard, and you will get the grade you want. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Free book, prof said to borrow from Metas. Some hw get solved in class. Make stat easy, relatable. There are recordings so no need to show up if you're busy but it's fun to answer his questions or do hw side by side with him in class. Take-home exam (no Proctorio), have in-class review time but problems similar as hw so no surprise/trick questions.

At the very least, he would post the lecture recording on Canvas so that students could access it later, either for students who were unable to attend or for future reference. I am not going to lie when I took this class I was terrified of failing. However this man is the most understanding, hilarious, and interesting teacher to keep me motivated. Hands down the best professor at San Jose City College. I took statistics and he was very kind, respected, and thorough. He went fast sometimes and I would ask him to repeat please or slow down and he made it easier to understand and resected our wishes with teaching techniques. I had him for intermediate algebra and statistics, and he has to be one of the best instructors I've ever had; his teaching is straightforward, his grading standards are simple to follow, and he will slow down or stop for anyone who has a question or if he needs to clarify something for someone or everyone.

Professor Rahim uses real life facts that students are familiar with to give us prime examples to educate us and help us understand the strategy of statistics/Math 063. Professor Rahim was the first educator in math after 10 years of attempting that successfully able to get me to understand math to the point to receive an A. My fear and my irrational thinking when it came to math made me defeated well before the first assignment was given. He is amazing, caring and there for you. But you just have to try.

Could not recommend Professor Rahim more. This is the professor that made me no longer fearful of math. He was funny and very good at explaining things. His lectures were never boring or hard to understand. He was also a very fair grader (I took him in the spring semester of 2020 when shut down began). He is also very respected by all students.

I have always been terrible at math but his teaching made me understand the material. He offers tutoring after class, encourages everyone to ask questions, and gives free extra credit on quizzes. The homework comes from the text book, he will do it with you, gives 3 quizzes and one final. Sadly he is retiring soon so hurry to get his class!
