This class is not difficult, but he really makes it out to be. Grades unfairly on tests. Class started with 31 students, now down to 12. Won't review items in class, always wants you to come to his office, but only has 3 office hrs each week. If you argue with him, he will talk in circles. Avoid taking him! Take it at Oconee if you have to.
Horrible speach donsent speake clearly . Very heavy accent has.He only gives 8 to 10 questions on test. i wounld not take him if you want to teac yourself.
I've never liked math but was pretty good at it this professor made me think I was completely stupid. I agree with what some have already said about him if you like teaching urself than this class is just for you. Someone asked a question he would then make us tell him how to do it if we knew we wouldn't be asking now would we! Horrible professor!!
He is not a good teacher at ALL. He makes the class EXTREMELY hard and difficult to learn. I would not recommend him. He grades unfairly.
I actually enjoyed algebra until this class and didn't find this material challening at all in highschool. Horrible teacher, hard tests, unfair. Avoid taking him if you can! Very hard to understand and you basically have to teach yourself in this class.
Did not need to be teaching a college class...or any class for that matter. Loved math until taking his class.
Very nice teacher overall. The classes he teaches are fun.
Not so great teaching skills but a great person. Very compassionate to me and worked with me to help me pass. I only passed one test but he gives tons of extra credit and checks your notebook, do your HW and Quizzes and you will pass.
VERY nice teacher, funny, and witty. His teaching skills are different and a little more difficult to understand, but it would help to crack open a book and look over the content by yourself. As long as you show that you care, he will help you out.
VERY nice guy. CANNOT UNDERSTAND AT ALL! very heavy accent. I loved math before I had him. Do not take his class. Teaches too fast, gets behind, doesn't help in class. Gives a lot of extra credit because everyone was failing. Tests were hard because he never went over anything and when he did no one understood and tried to ask questions.
I thought about dropping the class the first day because I felt like I hadn't learned anything. As it turns out, most of what he goes over is actually a lot simpler than how he puts it, because he explains the material in textbook terminology. He gives pretty tough test questions, but also offers 15-20pts extra credit on the tests; not bad overall.
I had Calculus III with him in PMU Saudi Arabia in 2007. Excellent teacher. His life is Math, and he wants students to digest every detail he present. If you follow with him with passion similar to his passion of Math; you will be good in Math. I agree he was fast, or may be we were slow relative to his level of knowledge. I like him in general.
I thnk he is a gr8 teacher i mean once u think about how much he stays up at night like all teachers, how he takes away family time just 2 grade your homework and quizzes, give the guys some slack. he is a great guy, and if u dont understand something ask him. he will help, and dont post anything stupid. u rnt in 7th grade. ur in college. come on
he's very nice and awsome! best teacher i've ever had! makes material ez to understand. i used to hat emath but now i love it!
He's a very nice guy, but a poor teacher. He gives very hard problems on tests. This is coupled with the fact that he doesn't give you very much time to do tests. We had 50 minutes for a 4 page test. A little more than half of 32 students have dropped this class.
He is a GREAT teacher! One of my favorite teachers. I especially liked his math stand. Great Job!
Excellent teacher. You have to ask questions if you dont understand something, because he moves fast. thats fine though.
A little difficult to understand sometimes. His teaching skills are not very good and he messes up kind of a lot. He is very willing to help you make up grades. I missed mulitiple webassigns and he let me turn them in all at once. Tests are much harder than the actual stuff learned in class but he gave us test corrections everytme.
He was very unhelpful and un willing to help. Had him this summer and just finished the final. He had us study from our old tests without the correct answers. Everyone failed all the tests. Can't ask questions he won't answer or u will get lecture on being a constructive student... Don't take him!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a great professor. He is always willing to help. Sometimes his explaining isn't very clear but he has a great personality and he is a great person.
He does not teach well at all!!! EVerday is confusing and shouldnt be a teacher.
He is a really great professor, I don't understand how students don't like him. He is always there to help when you need him. of course he's going to lecture you if he knows you are not a constructive student. He is what- 50? 60? He's had so much more experience than any other student or teacher. He's a great guy. Stop whining.
I just finished taking Stat 2400 with this teacher. I advise against taking him. He doesn't post grades any where, test solutions not posted, and review for any teats are off of test solution key, again note posted. Very unorganized and confusing.
I loved math before I took Dr. Saber's class. His tests are unfair. Around 80% of the class failed each test. The class started out with around 30 students in it. Only 10 students made it through the semester. I would not suggest Dr. Saber to anyone.
I have always , I mean always done well in math. until I took Dr. Saber, he was absolutely terrible. He does not help, what so ever and his tests are horrible. he jumps around. I 100% do not recommend him.
Take him if you hate your GPA,absolutely horrible..
I took this guy to give him a chance.I wound up withdrawing from the class. His tests and lectures are confusing,I couldn't follow. His quizzes had material from chapters we hadn't learned about yet! He's a good guy but not a good professor. I do not recommend taking him unlessyou ABSOLUTELY need Stat and can't afford totake it with some1 else later
No one ever knew when things were do or understood how to do anything. He overcomplicates everything.
DO NOT TAKE HIM! He complicates everything and you can't even understand him. He quizzes you on things he hasn't even taught you and makes you teach yourself most of the material. You'd be better off buying a book and teaching yourself. He takes attendance daily & always goes over class time. Save your GPA and DONT TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't understand him (mumbles). He doesn't teach well, and acts like students already know the material.
worst professor I ever had
He is a very monotone. He doesn't teach most material. It is a self teach class pretty much. Take at own risk
Im a mechanical engineering major, and had taken AP calc as well as being in other higher level math classes in high school. Needless to say I'm good at and like math, but my first test I failed. He never answers emails ever, and makes every little concept as complicated as possible. If you like teaching yourself and hate your GPA take this class
Don't even think about it! Run! RUN!!!
Teaches wrong then says to just look at the book but grades the way he taught. Marks it right then doesn't give credit. Makes everything very difficult. Went to tutoring and he marked other teachers' work wrong. I love math and I'm pretty good at it, but this class was a constant struggle. Avoid him like the plague.
If you haven't already gotten the hint from the other comments, DO NOT register for his class! He is the worst professor I have ever had. I'm okay at math but he just made it so much worse. He also assigns a lot of homework. If you want a good GPA listen to this warning!!
I took him for Algebra but it was not too hard. You really do need to practice. HE gives homework and grades it. You do have to teach yourself but it was not that hard to understand the material he explains in class.
He is very hard to understand. Now don't get me wrong, he knows his math, but he does not know how to explain it. His tests are impossible. Most of your homework is done on Webassign and he never lets you know when they are do or when you have them. Started out with 30+ students ended up with maybe 10. Don't take if you are looking to pass.
He worked problems on the board but students would constantly have to correct him. He did not speak clearly at all.
I would for sure recommend him! No idea what the other fellows on here are doing but I found him to be a great professor. Definitely knows what he's doing
I had Saber for elementary statistics, and it was miserable. I barely felt like I learned anything the entire semester. Even though he is not a great teacher, he is extremely nice and really tries to help. I got the highest grade in the class with a B. Most people were hoping to even pass the class.
He doesn't keep his words at all. He told 5 of students that he would change the test to a different day and then when we went to class he gave out the test. NEVER TRUST WHAT HE SAYS Hard to understand, his test is nothing like the study guide, which are just homework questions. And is very quite DO NOT TAKE HIM
His accent is difficult to understand. For me it was hard to follow along with any of the work. If you don't like working by yourself and reading out the textbook, Don't take his class
I took him and dropped him right away. Students constantly had to correct him during lecture, and he was hard to understand due to his thick accent. He is a very nice guy and is willing to help, but what's the point of that if he makes everything so confusing?! DO NOT TAKE HIM
Worst professor I've ever had. He is hard to understand. He often backtracks in the middle of a problem to teach something else he forgot to teach. I'd say about the only good thing about this professor is that he gives partial credit on tests. If you feel like teaching yourself Statistics from the book and going to the MATH Lab, take him.
He is a terrible teacher. He can not teach worh crap. DO NOT TAKE HIM! Don't have your phone out, his face turns red when mad. He doesn't help you one bit and he is so harsh on his grading. Students correct his work too all the time.
Ugh. Just awful. He's really a nice guy, but just awful at teaching. He cannot teach to save his life. It's pretty bad when other people's math advisors advise math majors against taking him. So if I were you I'd take my and everyone else's word and don't take him. You'll have a more pleasant experience learning Calculus III from someone else.
He was honestly the worst teacher I've ever had. I dropped him the night before the first test because I knew I wouldn't be able to pass it or the class. Strongly advise against taking him. I ended up taking MATH 1111 with Harfield and he was wonderful. Ended up with an 97 in algebra, and realized that I was actually good at math. Take him instead.
"If you take Dr. Saber, you need to be prepared to dedicate quite a bit of time to his class. Homework and additional worksheets must be turned in for a grade and there will be pop quizzes. You will be called upon in class from time to time to participate in class discussions so you will need to know the material. Just be prepared to work hard."
He was one of the worst teachers I ever had. Expected you to learn on your own and would beat around the bush if asked a question. Strongly recommend not taking his class. I had to drop the class by the 3rd test.
his accent is though to make out which can make it hard to follow along and understand him.
I've gotten A's in every math class I have ever been given... I might fail this class. His teaching... ugh. His English is somewhat fluent, but his teaching is scatterbrained. Does he even know what he is teaching? Every day he is corrected. He takes more time than he is allotted, yet we're always behind. His office hours are required. Don't.
I would not recommend this class. Math has always been my strongest subject, but this semester i was just confused the whole time. I don't think I learned a single thing, which is weird for me because i love math. The homework and tests were always harder than the notes and examples from class.
He's an extremely difficult teacher because of his huge accent which makes understanding him difficult at times and because he's just a bad teacher period. He's a brilliant guy himself and on paper, but he's a terrible professor who doesn't know how to teach. Btw, tests way harder than homework and notes. Be prepared to teach yourself. I got a B+
He's a great professor- definitely knows what he's doing and he wants students to learn not just pass the class. If you want to learn, take his class. If you want an easy A without the effort, take another teacher.
Calculus: Sorcery devised by Isaac Newton, one of the most prestigious and powerful sorcerers in the world. The degree of a Calculus major higher than a Ph.D is a Doctorate of Sorcery (S.d) When you need help in Calculus class you should look to your Sorcerer's Assistant for help. FML
Dr. Saber is really a nice guy, but when it comes to teaching more complicated subjects, such as Calculus, he is positively useless. He doesn't thoroughly discuss the topic, and the tests and quizzes are very hard. I love math and am very proficient, but he made it harder than it needed to be. I would have failed if I didn't read from the book.
Terrible. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Lot of online homework which is easy but tests are TOUGH. And he has a STRONG accent and hard to understand him.
He's a great person but not a great teacher. Says he's going to do something, but doesn't follow through. Very confusing and scatterbrained. It's like he would be teaching one concept and then he'd remember another concept that he didn't teach before so he'd have to go back and teach it. Would definitely not take again.
He is super nice and smart but he does not know how to teach. He teaches us like we already know the material. One test I missed 3 questions and received a 79, the test had 30 question. Pretty much taught myself everything and used the math lab a lot. Some classes I don't even listen because I get more confused by listening. Would NOT recommend.
I read all of his comments on rate my professor and though surely he wouldn't be that difficult, but he is. He is a very nice guy and very smart, but to the point where he is too smart for his own good. I did all the homework and studied for every test and used the math lab and I am barely getting by with a C. He does curve the grade at the end.
He is an overall great person, but not a great professor. His lectures are very hard to follow and the tests can be a little unpredictable. Expect quizzes, tough tests, lots of online homework, some group work, and overall - not much help.
I love math but he made me hate it. I made a 50 on the first test which was one of the higher grades. Three people got under 10%. Very unorganized, forgets to post assignments and then does it with a small time window to complete. Unorganized teaching style, notes are nearly impossible to follow. Brilliant math brain but forgets we are learning.
he is the most beautiful creature on this planet. i love him! he makes us laugh. he is nice to us. his tests are beautiful.
I've only been in this class for one week and I'm already dying. First homework assignment is over several sections of a chapter we haven't even covered. Very hard to understand lectures, very fast paced, notes are vague and hard to follow. Wish me luck
If you like challenging maths course, take him!!! He is the best and hardest professor in maths department!!
You rarely use the textbook. If you skip class you would miss a lot of material. Most of the homework, quizzes, and tests are online and the system used for the online is very sensitive and counts a lot off for things like the decimal place. He can be a little hard to understand at times and tends to go over lessons extremely quickly. Ask questions
Very disorganized, as if unprepared for class. Not exactly sure how to calculate grade in class.
Lectures confusing and all over the place. He assigns lots of hw online,hw sheets , weekly online and in class quizzes. This isn't an online or hybrid class but might as well be. The Webwork program is terrible and online textbook not helpful. Half of class gone by midterm.
Awful. So unorganized. Constantly corrected by students. Never has the right answer. I have to go to a tutor in order to pass this course. He loses papers and does not enter grades so you never know where you stand. If you take his class rely heavily on the free textbook, the ACCT center (tutoring), and youtube.
This guy has a great mind for math, but not a huge knack for teaching. It is extremely hard to understand what he is saying and he is distracted very easily during his lecture. It was so bad that I had to drop the class
He's a nice guy, but terrible at teaching. Completely unorganized. There has a been a classes where he has over complicated problems and taken all class for one problem and ends up with the wrong answer. Often works problems out wrong. Random online and worksheets assignments with little time to do them. extra credit for leaving phone on desk.
Do not take this guy, he's very unorganized, doesn't help you to go to class and usually can't explain something if you ask him a question, the only way your gonna learn anything is if you go to the math tutor and have them teach it to you, altogether I would find another professor
DO NOT TAKE HIM! He is one of the worst professors I've ever had. He will e-mail you at 2 am assigning homework on the weekends, he uses this free homework system that will count correct answers wrong for small formatting issues and he does not try to help when you discuss problems with him. Half of my class ended up withdrawing.
While he is friendly, his class was incredibly difficult. Many people say his accent was hard to understand; I had no problem with that. The issue was that he was disorganized and tended to post online homework at random times and give short due dates.(forgot to post a lot too) His tests were incredibly difficult. Get acquainted with the math lab.
I had to work incredibly hard to make just a C in this class. while Saber is very nice if you have an issue where you had no choice to miss class or homework and will help you make up the work, that doesn't cover up the fact that he's really not good at lecturing. I didn't understand anything in class and I learned everything on youtube.
The only reason why i did well this class was because i previously learned all this info in hs. He's a bit confusing at times when giving assignments but very webwork heavy that helps your grade a lot. Even uses webwork for tests! He always has extra credit opportunities You may need to self teach yourself on certain topics
Professor Saber is very intelligent and knows his stuff, but when it comes to teacher it's really confusing. If you can teach yourself then this would be good and fairly easy, but if not you better drop it or get ready to be in the math lab everyday after afterwards.
For someone who is somewhat decent in math and have had my fair share of bad professor, Saber is definitely difficult. More than half of my class dropped during drop week. I thought I could handle it and failed. Very confusing when assigning homework. Webwork is hard. Some homework even confused math tutors. Spent LOTS of time in math lab.. HOURS
He has a very difficult time remaining on topic. Notes are confusing. Harsh and moves too quickly. Avoid this professor at all costs.
You will have to spend a great amount of time looking up the information needed to complete homework and to study for tests since his ability to teach the information is almost nonexistent.
Takes forever to grade assignments and is horrible at explaining things in class
His accent is hard to understand, he doesnt really slow down and explain he just picks a problem and works it out then expects you to know what hes doing and Im not a big fan of the website he uses for homework I paid $105 for a two week free trial ... more money out of the broke college kids pocket!!
Great professor! I'm surprised at the many terrible ratings, those are probably students that didn't put much effort. If you actually are willing to learn, he is a great teacher! He will work with you, explain anything you need, and even if you don't get it will explain it as many times as necessary. He tries to simplify anything Very funny! :)
Dr. Saber does help you outside of Class if you need extra help, he will help you grasp the concept. His accent can be a bit hard on students as Ive seen. His assignments should not be remembered and spit back on the test, So in other words get used to remembering formulas. His way or the highway
Very unorganized, will start problems he randomly pulls from the book or worksheets. Has a heavy accent so hard to understand. Not like a traditonal math class, so very confusing. Doesn't really explain just solves problems and expects the student to understand the material by the end of class. Not a big fan of webassign, too much work.
I didnt have a problem with his accent. I did however had a problem with how he rushed teaching us concepts, told us the wrong info to study for, did not prepare us for important test questions, assigned lots of hw each week, contradicted the faulty website he used for hw, and delayed tests to shoehorn in more information he forgot to teach
Overall, not a hard math class. Not a good professor especially if you are not good at math, but lots of online assignments. Tests are hard and he grades like we are harvard med graduates or something. He curved my grade and gave me a C so cant complain.
The class itself is not hard, except for Logarithms. He did not put in grades until the day BEFORE the Final. He was hard to understand and went on tangents sometimes, which would cause me and probably others to be confused. The online assignments were easy and definitely do them because they count towards your grade. I wouldn' recommend him.......
Hw was easy and short I mean. Great teacher none the less
Don't take his class! He was the hardest professor I have ever had. He has a heavy accent which isn't too hard to understand but it is really heavy. He does NOT put grades in until the day before your final exam, and because he does that in a hurry he messes up and does not give the points you actually received. Please do not take him!!
Don't do it. Just don't do it.
Don't do it! He is very unorganized and seems to be unprepared. The test are extremely hard. He is by far the hardest math professor I have ever taken.
The worse teacher I have ever had, no joke. Very disorganized and makes continuous simple arithmetic mistakes (like 7+4). Very hard to follow along with him on the smartboard. One test included a point heavy question that didn't resemble anything we had discussed in class. He'll ask for questions but doesn't give you time to respond.
Very hard to understand and follow lectures. You have to teach yourself basically and he makes like 5 assignments due all on the same day so if you forget or lose track, you're screwed.
If you struggle with math at all, I do not recommend this class. He is the most disorganized professor I have ever had. I have had to spend hours upon hours after class teaching myself the material before completing the multiple different assignments that he assigns randomly throughout the week. nothing is organized and nothing makes sense in class
Very hard to understand. Professor Saber is unable to focus early in the morning, and fails to properly teach. Most of the course, I managed to teach myself using Pearson MyLab or the textbook for the class. Definitely would not take again, If you are good at math and easily understand difficult situations, you may do okay.
Professor Saber is very kind BUT he doesn't teach well. I've always been good in math never received below a 90 in any other my math classes. But his teaching is the worst, I thought I could handle it but I was wrong. What he goes over in class is not what will be on the online homework, test, & quizzes. I highly recommend tutoring if you're stuck
Saber is a very kind professor. BUT he is extremely unorganized. He is willing to help, but you will have to exhaust all opportunities. He gives a lot of homework and often changes his tests and assignments at the very last minute. If you enjoy have structure and knowing what to expect, do not take this class with Dr. Saber.
Mr. Saber is extremely unorganized and will pull random equations and solve them on the board and expect his students to be able to solve an entire unit from one problem examples. He is an unfair grader and does not make sure you know the material, he goes quickly and will assign 5 homework assignments. He is nice but possibly the worst professor.
Hes extremely unorganized and expects the students to already know what is being taught. He doesnt even follow his own grading system, and he doesnt update any grades. So you may know your final grade at the end of the semester. All of the tests are on MyStatLab, which made it so much more difficult. Wouldnt recommend!!
Professor Saber is not hard but the professor himself is. He did not put any grades into D2L until a week before the final exam, never graded al of the discussion posts he made us do and never even entered the final exam into the grade book. He is the most disorganized professor I have ever had. I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend taking his cou
DO NOT DO IT! I had him for an Online class and you CAN NOT reach him, every time you email him it either gets ignored or he responds with "please read my guidelines on how to send a proper email". He features no lessons just links to the book to figure out the material for yourself. I have always done well in math but he wrecked my GPA. RUN!
Probably one of the worst teachers I've ever had. He's very unorganized and difficult to communicate with. He doesn't teach at all and made us complete all assignments through a 3rd party website. He rarely does review sessions. I have to give him some credit, for one test he gave us 2 attempts and let us use our notes. That's the only good thing.
This is my second class with Saber (2 years since the first one) and he is still disorganized, impossible to reach, terribly unclear in lectures, and loads you up on homework. The math is not difficult and the tutor can teach you the week's lesson in an hour or so, but he will not help any step along the way. Take someone else and you may enjoy it.
I took Introduction to Statistics in an online course. You will have to teach yourself everything. Most discussion post are over topics we never learned. Dates for tests, homework, and quizzes will be in two different places and they are both wrong. Good luck knowing what to do or when it is due. Don't take this class.
Grades discussions he didn't post. Immediate zeroes. Averaging six to eight assignments per week (not including tests) Poor communications skills. Unreliable class schedule.
Dr. Saber himself is perfectly acceptable; he's knowledgeable and helps to break down information for confused students. But this is the epitome of an online class. You will get swamped with work if you don't keep on top of things, you're punished for not retaining information, and there are many deadlines to keep track of. Find an in-person class
Extremely difficult class. I had to withdraw and will be taking the course in person. I was taking two other courses online and had absolutely no chance of passing this one. professor moves theough the material extremely fast. This was definitely the most challenging course Ive taken.
You have no chance to succeed
Horrible teacher, unorganized and seems confused. Changes dates and plans daily, doesn't respond to emails. Put in all my grades incorrectly. Took this as a dual enrollment class, so he hurt my fall transcript for college applications. Tons of homework. Find a different class, do not take this one.
literally the worst math class i've ever taken. i've taught myself everything despite showing up and i'm still failing. do not recommend.
he doesn't care about the students and is very boring. spends most of class teaching simple things and not what's on the test, he leaves that for you to teach yourself. the homework isn't to hard but there is a lot of it. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!! its been an awful experience so far, he's even been reported bc he doesn't teach well.
Worst teacher I've ever had. He is just so awful. Doesn't know what he is doing, so unorganized. Horrible at teaching concepts, doesn't help. Doesn't answer emails. Puts in grades incorrectly. Homeworks are ridiculous and most times doesn't even relate to what you're doing in class. Tests are hard as well and cover material you haven't learned yet.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I have never struggled with a professor more. He is unavailable outside of class, and quite frankly he is hardly available and hardly helpful in class. Homework is plentiful and isn't explained well, quizzes are random and without much time. After emailing with the Dean of Mathematics about him, I am surprised he's there.
If you are looking for someone to have any structure and to know what they are doing then avoid this class at all cost. I took it to fill my extra math credit and this class is awful. The work itself is relatively easy except for any test. He has no structure and could care less about you or any questions you have. Horrible Professor in every way
Doesn't communicate at all with students. Doesn't post lectures, only powerpoints with definitions (which isn't helpful in a math class). Taught myself using youtube videos I found. Quizzes and tests are WAY harder than the homework. I made 100s on HW and 40s and 50s on tests/quizzes. This was the hardest class and it didn't have to be.
No a professor to have.
Does not know how to teach whatsoever. Ended being taught by videos
Would not take his class again.
would not take again
Dr. Saber by no means is an easy professor to work with. He can be very hard to work with, and he can harsh about late work. I am giving Dr. Saber a good report because he makes sure that you earn the grade/credit you deserve when you complete his course. You know as a student exactly how well you did because you worked for every point in his class
The lectures are very confusing; seemed like he did not know what he was teaching. Over half of the class withdrew from the class and the remaining of us did everything to try and pass. Yet, most of us failed his class... We feel cheated. BEWARE OF THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE MOUNTAIN OF HOMEWORK AND HARD TESTS.
DO NOT TAKE HIM! HE IS HORRIBLE
I'm taking this class online and can't believe the lack of structure. He's completely unreliable when it comes to maintaining deadlines, as he randomly changes them without any announcement. I've had to take 0's on quizzes and discussions because he changed the deadline without me realizing. Very difficult to keep up with. So frustrating.
I am taking this class online and I have never been so stressed in my life. Never in my life had I imagined that I would have to worry about random due date changes and unannounced quizzes. The powerpoints never make sense, therefore I have been teaching myself through youtube videos. I'll make a 100 on the homework but 50s and 60s on the tests.
genuinley so bad. I took college algebra as an online summer class and holy... i have never had a prof this bad. he has quizzes open for only 24 hours (which i was unaware of until half way thru the summer), he makes some things due at 5pm and some due at 11:59, and makes you pay $19 to take the final online if you cant make it in person
DO NOT TAKE HIM, unless you want to fail!!! Loads of homework with different due date time with each one. It could be 5 pm one day and 11:59 pm the next! The homework was always so much easier than the tests and quizzes, he would always put stuff on the tests that he had never taught. I was definitely teaching myself. Be WARNED!!!
The tests are incredibly hard and he does not allow enough time AT ALL!most recent test was 60 minutes for 18 questions, seemed easy enough, each question had 2-4 subparts so it was ~ 54 questions in 60 minutes!!!! RIDICULOUS. I couldn't even get to all the questions so I got a 30!! Only redeeming quality is the final replace the lowest test scores.
It's the first week of classes and I've had this professor for 2 days and he's extremely rude. I emailed him in concern of not being able to find something on d2L and he was so rude for no reason.Everytime I would explain the issue he was rude.I dropped his class so not sure what his grading is like but if it's anything like his attitude good luck.
Worst professor ever!! Do anything you can to drop his course. I dropped after two days, and switched to an in person Calculus class in which I got an A. His work load within the first week was so stressful I was in tears and dropped it immediately. Not sure about the rest, but by other reviews it does not seem great.
Very clear class structure was always there to answer my emails and nice.
He is really not that bad. I've read many reviews that he pops assignments out of no where and his tests have nothing to do with what you learned. He gives you a clear syllabus at the beginning of the year and changes it occasionally, but emails anytime he does. You just have to check up consistently and stay on top of your HW/Quizzes/Tests.
Does not respond well to emails. Is often rude. Put the wrong syllabus in D2L for the first week. Has conflicting due dates for the same test. Test does not match homework. AVOID AT ALL COST.
This class can be a challenge, but using Unstuck study and staying on top of the work can really help. The professor's teaching style takes some adjusting, but engaging in the material and attending the lectures makes a big difference. Overall, it's a manageable course with the right approach.
PROS: Ti-84 makes some problems light work, Pearson videos and examples work better than the trash textbook, and the final exam replaces the lowest test grade. Cons: Too much homework (some tests don't use certain chapters, despite him telling us they're included!), too many unique word problems, and restricts using formulas for at-home tests.
Just don't. I talked to my advisor after the first test, that I got a 60 on, and he told me I probably did better than most of my peers. If you want to keep your scholarships, don't.
This class was awful. You're meant to teach yourself when taking an online class, but this professor isn't super accessible outside of class and doesn't give much help when asked. Failed the final exam because there were questions over material that was not covered in the course. If you take this class for a credit, use a different professor.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. The work load is like having a full time job in itself. I worked for 12 hours STRAIGHT and still did not even come close to finish all the work he assigned to us just for CHAPTER 1. This professor is awful and don't even bother asking him a question. I am not scared of hard work, but this class work was like 3 in one.
DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He's not understanding at all! He gives you 200 slide presentations for 1 chapter. His tests are extremely difficult and the questions are confusing. He's very strict, and oddly enough he makes discussion posts for a math class. Doesn't teach anything; his slides are pretty much copy and paste from book.DONT TAKE HIM!!!!!
Took this class for 2 months and realized there was no winning with this professor and the way he structured the class. No notes, no late work, tests worth 40%, final was 25%. On quizzes there was no feed back, answers were just marked as wrong. Notes were not the same as quizzes or test. I asked the professor to help and got nothing that helped.
Never have I had a teacher that was this unorganized and rude. He posted PowerPoints that were lengthy and not helpful at all. Schedules he posted were never correct, and don't even get me started on how complicated setting up lockdown browser because he didn't post correct instructions! Final was ridiculous. Do not take this class.
LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! This was the worst class I have ever taken. DO NOT TAKE HIM! The content in his class has zero relevance to the test and quizzes. It will only help you understand the homework. Then, the exams were 360 of what you learned in class, and so were the quizzes you had to take every week. You're better off asking ChatGPT to teach U
Prepare to cry after every test. I learned nothing and I now have to retake the class.
This professor is all over the place. He grades his discussions very hard and is never clear what he wants you to put on them. He has awful dates for tests and is so rude. Probably will have to retake this class. Choose someone else and save yourself a semester
Don't take his class!! I get that online classes are supposed to be more self-taught, but he sets you up for failure. Takes forever to grade anything, and his tests are nothing like the materials taught. Lecture videos and notes are also super unhelpful and made this class even more difficult.
Do not take this professor!!! I would have dropped this class if I could. Tests + Final exam are worth 70% of your grade. Material is very confusing and the notes and videos he provides are not helpful at all. DO NOT TAKE this professor you will fail.
