Prof. Barsamian went out of her way multiple times to give us millions of extra credit points. Drops the lowest essay grade. Very Helpful. I wouldn't say HOT but pretty cute... and she "loves to give A's" TAKE HER... the class is fun and its easy (even though theres a lot of assignments)

The best thing is she lets you revise your essays(in class or out). I never had an english teacher as easy as her. only thing that sucks is we had to read pride and prej. and write a research paper about it. romance novels arent for everyone but its ok she was still easy. her debate project was also fun to do.

Miss B is an extremely nice,cute,funny,cute,well spoken, and did I say cute? Overall if you follow her instructions for essays you're going to pass. She doesn't give to much homework (if she does she normally lets you work on it a little in class). She's also really easy to talk to if you need help, and she'll explain it till you understand it!

I took this class at 6:30 in the morning, and i do not regret it! Ms. B is an amazing teacher; very helpful, and caring! Her energy is through the roof, so I didn't dread waking up in the mornings. Don't take her just for the easy A because you do need to work for it. She quizzes a lot and expects her students to learn. She's always ready to help and she's such a sweetheart! Class does require attendance because there's a lot of classwork.

She is not an easy teacher so if you want the A you have to earn it! The good think about her class was that she would let you revise your essays and she has 2 test from the story book and one 4 page paper that you need to learn them! She is way to open from the topic and materials and she is not in guy side at all!

Nice professor. Yes, it is not easy to get an A but all other 104 classes are the same. You should read, read, read, and then write. If you really understand the essay topic and plan well before you start writing, you should do fine. She does NOT require fancy vocab in essay. It's all about clarity and relationship between your point and the topic.

TRULY words can't explain how much I love her! The most caring, helpful, understandable, and friendly teacher i have ever seen in any educational institution. If you are an English major, planning to go to law school, or just need improvement because your English 101 teacher failed to teach you anything like most GCC English teachers do... take Barsamian's class. She is explaining each concepts so simple and easy as much as possible. 2 in class essay with revision opportunity. one in home essay. 1 research paper and that's it. Hasmik is without a doubt one of the sweetest, most easy going English professors at GCC. Ehh she is really easy but the class is boring. Structured like a high school english class. Lets you redo every essay. Always felt like the class was a waste of time, only went incase there was a pop quiz. Take for the easiness. Midterm was the easiest test of my life.

tough grader, you can rewrite your essays to get higher grade,group projects ,presentation ,research paper, pop-up quiz,4 in class essays. for the essays you are going to use computer lab, using college computers to type your essays ,you could write your essays on a paper but i should say it takes time. 1 hour isn't enough for 4 -5 pages essay .

Ms. H is a good teacher and helpful as well. she always on time and ready to teach. the class is easy overall but she is tough grader and gives good feedback.

She replaced the English professor basically half way through the semester. She did a wonderful job adding our class to her busy schedule!She gives great feedback so you can improve on your essays. Class attendance is a must since she assigns group work. I didn't mind cause the class had fun people! She'll assign reading from the book.

She was great. Gave a lot of easy assignments so you're not stuck with having your only points coming from essays. So if you're bad at them you have that back up. Mrs.B is very caring, nice, and a good teacher overall. The only problem is the amount of homework and pointless quizzes she gives which she grades you on. For a 3 unit class she gives way too much homework. Ive had 5 unit classes easier than this...

Professor Barsamian is very caring and wants her students to do well. There is only two essays and one research paper, and everything is relatively easy. In order to pass you must show up to class and complete the homework she gives in each class. This will make up a 15% in class grade.

We had 1 in class essay, 1 research paper and 1 out of class essay. Professor Barsamian gives a lot of extra credit so if you want the A be willing to do all of it. The class itself is pretty fun and seems to go by so quickly. Highly recommend!

Barsamian is a fantastic English teacher, and she made me kind of like English after hating the subject for years. I took her class over the summer, and the course load mainly included reading an article or short story. We had to write 3 essays in total, which is pretty nice because some English teachers bombard students with essays.

I adore this professor. She is a true gem. She definetly makes you work for your grade which is awesome. She is so funny, caring, and super intellegent. I learned so much from her. Mrs. B was the first professor I met at gcc that I actually admired. Her lectures were always interactive, she's actually really funny too. She truly cares about your grades and gives several extra credit opportunities through out the semester. She is pretty lenient and makes class truly enjoyable :) I would take her class again in a heartbeat.

Professor Barsamian was an absolute pleasure. Yes, she does assign a lot of work for a 16 week course but shes fair when grading assignments. She will do her absolute best to help her students pass. Please buy the textbooks which are not expensive at all and do all discussions/essays. This class will be a breeze if you put in the effort.

Professor Hasmik is great. Yes she grades a bit tough but so what there are so many extra credit opportunities. Her lectures are the best she is clear and to the point. The people who wrote bad reviews seem pretty lazy.

This was a heavy-duty class. Ms. B will keep you busy but she is incredibly caring and you will learn so much. She is the only Professor, I have ever had that will go through every word of essay, grade fairly, and give meaningful (funny) comments. Ask questions, if something is not clear. This Prof was so good. It was an online class and was very easy to pass. Her covid teaching was really good, she gave clear directions and was very organized. she posts videos of her teaching and explaining.

She is a very tough grader, so if you do not feel like English is your best subject, then I do not recommend taking her class. However, she is considerate with some of her deadlines, and assignments. Her class is mainly discussions, two essays, a group presentation, a midterm, and a final. Be ready to spend a lot of time on her discussions!

Professor Barsamian's ENG104 class is challenging but rewarding. She provides clear instructions and valuable feedback. Staying on top of readings, assignments, and engaging in discussions are key to doing well. Unstuck AI and other study tools can be very helpful.

Incredibly friendly and always willing to help. I take most of my classes online, but she made it feel less impersonal and more like an actual professor that was around to help, as opposed to a profile pic on a screen. In my opinion she's a tough grader, but only because she has high expectations; her encouragement and guidance was great though.
