probably the best teacher i have ever had. hass has a way of teaching his students without teaching them. he gives you an idea and allows the student to ponder until he figures something out, which honestly is the best way of teaching since your teaching yourself rather than having someone ramble on.

Hass explained things twice so students would better understand. He also had students teach other students. I had a great experience in his class!

Hass is hilarious! He makes his class interesting and is a great teacher overall. He is extremely understanding! Homework is not req. to do, but will definitely help you on pop quizzes! And if anyone is wondering, yes he still tells the story about driving his car backwards from 7-11!

Hass is a great teacher! He keeps the class interesting. Attendance is MANDITORY! His tests are hard because each question is worth so much and he does a LOT of pop quizzes so plan on doing ALL of your homework! Other than that, he does a great job at giving you notes on how to do your homework and makes sure you get them all.

I will admit that I had some serious anxiety the first week or two of his class, but that quickly cleared away to reveal one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He will take the time to further explain questions, and has a way of teaching that won't leave you helpless once you get home and pull out your homework.

He treats his students like four-year olds; he insists you take notes EXACTLY as he dictates them... he even once asked me to read back what I wrote down to ensure that I wrote exactly what he said. The first class day, he tells everyone that he doesn't treat you like kids, but I think he emphasizes that because ppl complain about it

I HIGHLY recommend Hass. This teacher changed my life. I had no direction and couldn't pass algebra for the life of me but this man did it. He took time out of his day to talk with me about my future goals after class, etc and his teaching style and funny personality kept me engaged and understing the material. This man is more than just a teacher.

Hass is the best teacher I've ever had, and not just for math, best teacher for anything. I never cared for math until his class. He made it fun and interesting, and I will always be grateful to him for that. He made math exciting and I always enjoyed going to class. Be sure to do the homework, there will be pop quizzes. Hass is a great teacher, he gives great notes that really help. If I had any other teacher I wouldnt of understood 1010 at all. Hass is a great teacher and I wish he was teaching 1050 I would take it from him.

Hass is freaking awesome, he is very strict but for good reason I always knew exactly where I was with this class, and when the grades came I was very pleased, more to the point when I moved to the next class math1050 I actually felt like I knew what I was doing.

Hass is a great teacher! If you have a chance to take a class from him, and you're willing to work, then do it for sure. His notes are helpful and his way of explaining things in a simple way was well worth the class. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my final grade. Just remember, RRRRRED PEN!

Red pen, red pen! He is the reason I fell in love with math. Until his class I was terrified of math and now its one of my favorite subjects! He made me feel like I could do it and made all of my fears go away. His teaching style is brilliant and I owe him more than he will ever know! Don't be scared at first, just go with the flow and trust him!

Hass is the best math teacher I've ever had. I hated math until I took his class. He is very sarcastic and fun. I honestly don't know how people fail in his class, because his lectures and notes are the best you will ever receive, and he provides ways for students to teach each other. His only flaw is he doesn't teach other classes.

He is a great teacher. RED PEN!! its the first math class i have ever enjoyed. you need to go to class he gives you step for step notes and at least one quiz per test and grades fairly. if you want to pass and understand hass is the way to go. You do need to do the homework though. i wish he taught other maths too.

Hass is a great teacher. If you don't understand something he will take the extra time with you to help you learn it. He also allows you time to take the test so if your not finished he will let you stay and finish. His notes makes the homework easy. And his test are hard but he gives you credit to help. But make sure you buy a RED PEN!!!!!!!!!

Intimidating at first, but after the first week or two, you end up enjoying his funny stories and analogies. His dictated lecture notes make learning the processes easier, I say dictated because he will ask a student to read them back. Don’t forget to get a RRRRRRED PEN! I recommend him as a teacher and wish he would teach math 1050.

Teaching style is very direct and clear. Doesn't simply give you the answers, but helps you to grasp the concepts. Willing to work with you on attendance, as long as you work with him by participating in the class. He will surprise you with his humor. Great guy and teacher. If you need to take MATH 1010 at SLCC, take it from Hass.

He is very clear and helpful. Hass knows exactly what to teach and how to teach. I recommend him. I wish he taught 1050 as well. He makes Math very fun and understandable.

Hass is the best teacher I had for math till today. Makes the class and syllabus look really easy.Prepares you really good for the finals and is very clear and straight to the point in his teaching. He is funny and makes you understand real life applications of math. If you really are interested in learning, then I strongly recommend his class.

He was such an awesome professor! He makes things really interesting and he just cracks the class up. You do need to have a RED PEN and graphing paper. There is a lot of homework, but it is really beneficial. The tests aren't too bad as long as you do well on assignments, if you don't get something he explains it very well. Great class!

Funny,great teacher! Kinda intimidating at first. Be prepared to get called on in class (sounds scary but don't worry he doesn't humiliate u). This was the best math class i've taken in my life! He does have a slight accent and you must write notes quickly.

Has was a great instructor. Made learning quadratic equations a breeze (and graphing!). He always had stories which made the 2 hours go by super fast. He is clear and concise on his instructions.

Hass is one the best math professors SLCC has to offer. He truly cares about his students and will take the time to teach you the material correctly. His language is concise and he does a good job at involving his students. As long you show up to class and do the work, there wont be a problem.

I took math1010 2xs, my 3rd with Hass, and I passed with a B+! I got a 240 out of 250 on my final! He gives hw, but you don't turnit in. Catch is, 15 minutes at the beginning of class be prepared to get called on to answer q's from hw. Gives great reviews, pop quizzes and tests are straight forward and mirrored exactly like the final's format.

Hass is probably one of the best professors I've had. You definitely have to work for an A if you are not good at math, but he gives you every opportunity to do well with his quizzes, projects and participation. Also if you volunteer to solve a problem from the hw you can get extra credit. Bring a RED PEN to class, always. He is also really funny.

Quizzes are usually the day before the test. He bumps your grade up one notch (ex: A- to an A) if you go to the board and do problems from the homework. 2 easy projects. Gives great life advice. Funny. Don't take him if you need everything explained to you step by step. He expects you to figure it out yourself. Entertaining storyteller

you get graded on tests, you have two projects and attendance but he is very helpful he taught you his way on learning and he made it clear. he dont waste time he gets to the points and is willing to stay after class until you understand it. he gives 6 quizs randomly and you have 5 test plus the final. he is amazing !!

Hass is great at teaching math. His notes he has you take are short and to the point. He has seen it all and gives students the fastest and easiest way to get the correct answer. He's funny and he picks on students who can handle it. Bring a red pen and get ready to hear the daily lives of Hoppsie and Jupsie.

Hass was a very fast paced teacher. It was easy to fall behind and get confused during the lecture. His accent is hard to understand at first. He makes you take a lot of notes, but they are extremely helpful. He's not a bad teacher, but he was not that right teacher for me.

Hass is a great teacher, he doesn't believe in extra fluff. He wants you to know what you have to know for future classes and his class, won't make you learn unnecessary equations or waste your time on unused formulas etc. He gets straight to the point and you know exactly what is needed to pass. He will do anything for you to pass, he cares.

I LOATHED math before this class, now I do it for relaxation. I swear this man's brain arranges thought like a pro Tetris player. He is THE best math teacher at SLCC period. Hass is a great teacher. He spends the first part of class answering questions from the homework. The homework isn't graded, but you definitely want to complete it if you want to pass the class. He lectures for the rest of class and is willing to help you until you fully understand. He is awesome and would definitely recommend him as a teacher!

Amazing professor! But EVERY class is important to pass tests. Tests are really short so grading is a little harsher then most. Would definitely take again though.

The longer I am away from Hass, the more I appreciate his brand of crazy. He is very particular, yes. But he breaks things down in a way that was understandable. There is a lot of note taking and he has been known to go on a tangent or two, but you are always out early which is nice. Lots of camaraderie with classmates.

Fantastic professor. He inspired me to be a better person. He's one of the most caring teachers. He WON'T take it easy on you if you struggle, but WILL help you feel better and teach you that struggling is not a definition of your character. I suggest getting a tutor upfront- the content of the class is VERY fast paced. Find friends to study with.

Hass takes some getting used to at first, so don't get scared off. He really cares, starts & ends class on time, & never leaves the building till all your questions are answered. This teacher is very nice. He does like to brag a lot about how cute his cats are, but he likes his students, and is also passionate about his job. He may seem rude at the beginning but later you will find out that he just likes to joke a lot. He never gets offended when you share your opinion. you will enjoy it. math won't be boring with him.

Hass is an amazing professor. This was my first semester in college (summer). I graduated from high school 10 yrs ago so I was afraid to jump back in, but he was by far my favorite professor out of the 6 classes that I had this semester. I took the accelerated course, but I didn't have trouble keeping up because he was very thorough in his lectures

The BEST math teacher I have ever had! Hass is truly caring and very thorough, yes you do have to study and I do not recommend missing a class as you will miss some very important information. Hass is such a nice guy. He spends time before and after class helping students with questions and genuinely wants to help. He thinks he's pretty funny when he's not which makes it funny. He does call on people constantly, however, if you do not know the answer you just say so and he calls on someone else.

He has a unique personality, some of the reviews might scare you. Math is hard, but he is the best math teacher I have had. He is blunt, he will tell you when you are wrong, but then he will explain why and how to fix it! He will spend as much time outside of class as you need, and the homework is not graded, but so helpful! A kind and funny guy!

Hass has been one of my favorite professors I have ever had for a math class. His lectures are clear and help you understand problems very easily. Comes off rude but has no bad intentions. No other professor I have had has made me understand math the way he has. If you do the homework (which is optional) you will pass his tests.

Hass was probably one of my favorite math teachers I've had. He loves calling on people in class but never rushes you and if you need help he helps you. There is a bit of homework after class every time but he will spend extra hours if you need his help. My class ended at 9:30 pm and stayed till 11:00 once for a student. He's honestly amazing

Mr. Baraki is the best teacher I ever had. I went in thinking I didn't know math, found the things I didn't know, failed the final, and gladly retook his class (passing the second time.) Missing a class is an easy way to fail, I missed 2 when I failed. Students are given the expectations day 1: It is rude to not meet them; expect the golden rule.

I took Hasss Stats class over 16 years ago. I struggled through this course. Word problems in any math have always been the pain of my existence. Hass taught me how to get through word problems and made them less scary for me. Im sitting at my table teaching my 13 year old son principles I learned in Hasss class. Thanks Hass
