I loved him! He is a great teacher. He explains everything in complete detail. I was never confused about anything. He has an accent, but is very clear. Tests and quizzes are straightforward. Pay attention and you'll do fine. Because of him, I want to have a math minor. He's the best teacher I've had at this school so far.

Great professor. Lectures are clear. Explains proofs really well. Answers any questions students have. Gives plenty of examples. Even gave some extra credit opportunities. Very helpful during office hours. Everything a great professor should be.

I took this class over the summer because I failed it the first time. Yousefi teaches this class VERY clearly and gives examples you can understand. He takes time out of class to go through detailed examples that will help you on the homework and exam. I would recommend taking 250B with Yousefi over Goode any day. I actually learned in this class.

This is by far the best math teacher/professor I have ever had. He is extremely helpful and approachable during office hours, is always well prepared and during his lectures, and his tests are extremely fair. He just seems to have a good attitude about teaching, making for a positive experience.

Hassan Yousefi is a great teacher. Homework is online and turned in weekly, he takes questions on any part of the homework or section in the book. The tests are difficult, however, and studying is def recommended. Granted I didn't pass the class I know it wasn't his fault, I messed up bad on a test and didn't do half homework. I still learned alot!

This class is NOT for you if you are looking for an easy pass. You will need to work for grade. The professor is very clear and knowledgeable.

Professor Yousefi was the best professor I ever had. He explained everything clearly and was very helpful. He related the materials we learned from class to help us remember it easier. I learned a lot from his class.

He's very helpful on h/w during office hrs, but he's a stickler for due date/times. Won't cut slack on h/w to students who add late, nor for illness, & will actually refuse to grade excusably late h/w, which can affect your grade. Grades the final a lot harder than the midterms, so almost everyone lowered their overall course grade.

The best,is all i can say. 3 midterms & final. HWs are done trough Webassign. Sometimes he does replace final grade with lowest midterm, but not guaranteed. To do good on exams u must do all the HWs and also understand them very well. His teaching method is great. Exams are very fair and he grades them fair too. However, u must work very hard.

Best math teacher I have had. He knows exactly what he is talking about. He uses webassign for homework and his notes really help a lot. The exams are very fair and he gives a webassign review for each exam. He can be a stickler for certain things on the exam but he also grades fair. Hope to take more of his math classes.

He's a really smart teacher who can actually teach. He's fair and clear, but you have to work really hard. This class is difficult course anyways. He wants you to understand the concepts, not memorize proofs.

He understands the subject and teaches it well. His quizzes tests are based off the notes, and the homework. The homework is time consuming and long. The class was pretty easy.

Such an amazing professor!! I loved this class so much. His quizzes (every monday) are based off the material learned the week before. The exams are easy if you really study. He posts study guides on webassign, and they are very helpful! He is very helpful and really wants you to understand the material.

This professor is exceptional. He is very clear and provides numerous examples as well as relating familiar ideas with new topics. I would highly recommend him for any pure mathematics course.

Incredibly easy class thanks to the clearness of his exposition. He is incredibly informed about many subjects so it is most likely that he will have an answer for anything you present him. I pretty much sat back and listened to his lectures.

Doctor Yousefi is a great professor. He was very clear on instructions as well as difficult concepts. I found 250A to be pretty manageable, but those little mistakes on tests was a major reason why I got a "meh" grade. His HW was online, and I found webassign to be a pretty good HW program. It didn't need specific answers.

This was the hardest class in terms of abstract course material. Dr. Yousefi managed to explain these esoteric topics in a succinct and concise manner. He really went the extra mile to help you understand, especially if you visit his office. Must take him for any class he's teaching!

Excellent professor! Exams are challenging even when studying everyday, but he teaches the material clearly and concise! Would definitely recommend.

This class is not as hard I expected. The exams are not that hard as long you do the study guide. It is possible to get an "A" in the class, but it will require to study material. The exercises in the book are helpful too.

He's great at math, and he's great at teaching it. Really tough exams if you don't do all the homework and review. He doesn't make it easy. However, he will answer any question you have and will try to help you in any way he can.

I took Dr. Yousefi for 307 and then for 350. He has an accent, but it is easy to get past it. He is super good at reading the students' comprehension during lectures. I loved how he had "unofficial office hours" for extra accommodation. His tests are hard but super fair. Understand homeworks and you should be solid when exam time comes around.

One of the best professors i've taken. He really knows math and really knows how to teach it. His methods are straight forward and he really made calc 2 easy. MOST of the test questions come from the HW and exam review, sometimes with the exact numbers. Make sure you attend the class and understand the HW problems and you'll be fine.

Dr. Yousefi knows his stuff! He makes the class enjoyable and teaches in a way that you understand the topic well. Math 150B is already a tough class and Dr. Yousefi makes it easier. There are 3 exams and 1 final exam. Homework is due once a week and sometimes he gives extra credit if he sees the class is struggling. Best professor for Math 150B.

The text book wasn't mandatory only the code but if you wanted extra help get the book. The class was easy but there was a ton of homework! Easy powerpoints& loved the way he teaches the class, encourages to participate. Only time I seen him get mad is when students are talking over him and I agree with him in giving respect by paying attention!.

Took Dr. Yousefi for spring 2016. He is a great lecturer and explains the material very well. He takes time to make sure students understand before moving on. He offers office hours, and attending class is crucial to pass any class. As long as you keep up with homework and practice you will be fine. Offers a bit of extra credit. Would take again.

I've had experience with many math professors and Yousefi is the one of the best, hands down. It's actually refreshing to have a math prof that teaches in a coherent, concise & linear way. Thoroughly explains concepts, offers plenty of extra credit & goes over problems related directly to test questions. Def recommend! PS be sure to do all the HW!!

One of the Best math professor Ive had. The course is well organized and he explains everything very well. Only downside is, the course is moving way too fast but that's the department's criteria! took cal 1 8 years ago and I'm doing okay in the class! so take this class even if you don't feel ready! Dr. Y is gonna prep you well.

Do the hw assignments on time or earlier and review the examples from the lecture & his tests won't be hard. He uses similar problems from lectures and the HW. 11 quizzes, 3 midterms & 1 final. He even replaced the lowest test score with the score from the final if we scored higher than the highest score out of the 3 midterms.

Yousefi is the best calculus professor I have ever had, by far. He is very clear and organized. His lectures are a combination of a powerpoint, printed out condensed versions of the powerpoint and example problems. He is fair in his expectations and grading. Only warning is that if you take the two hour long class section, it gets a little boring.

(I had him at Fullerton College, so he didn't have office hours.) His lectures (slideshows) are thorough and clear. His notes are slideshow printouts; I recommend using Post-Its on them for more space. He also likes to go over homework questions in class. He's a fair grader who even gives classwork for extra test points. Homework is doable.

Dr. Yousefi is the first calc professor I had at CSUF. He is great as with many other reviewers have mentioned. You don't really need to pay attention in class except just taking notes for all of the examples he gives. Hw is given through WebAssign which is extremely helpful for cramming Tests/Quizzes. Be sure to show up to class for extra credit.

Awesome and effective professor. He explains concepts very well and even if you may not understand at the time, he organizes his lectures on the board in a way that you can follow when you are looking at your notes. His class emphasizes your understanding of the concepts more so than memorizing proofs, so if you want to understand take him!

Lectures & homework are everything. He prints out your notes but there's barely any room - use sticky notes or a notebook for more room. Some extra credit *randomly* throughout the semester done in class. All HW and course grades too are on Webassign which helps you look back at it to study. Overall, great professor who is REALLY helpful in class.

Had him for 150B and then 250A for Fall 2017. By far the best math professor I ever had. Do the homework ahead of time and review the questions by actually doing the problems again before the quizzes and exams. Quizzes every week, 3 midterms and 1 final. Prints out the lecture slides and allows a sheet with 10 formulas to use for each exam.

One of the best math professors I've ever had. He is difficult, but the lectures and concepts are so thoroughly explained that it is doable. You will definitely have to study, as is normal for most courses, and study groups is highly recommended for this course. Also, he's great in office hours.

Dr. Yousefi is the best Calculus 2 Professor. He is a really smart and helpful Professor who gives you the most help if you seek for help. Go to his office hours to gain understanding. If you do not understand the class, ASK for help, he is always happy to help. THE GREATEST!!!

He gives about 10 quizzes, 3 Midterms and 1 Final Exam. He drops your lowest Exam score and Quiz score IF you have a B average Homework grade.

Hands down he is the best math professor I've ever had, he explains concepts thoroughly, he makes math easy and enjoyable. Had him in summer for calc 1 its a very fast pace class with an exam every week it was doable make sure you do the Hw, he gives a lot of extra credit, he is a fair grader, very organized lectures . Very straight forward teacher, tries to do his best to explain the Calculus concepts to everyone. Uses a online classroom WebAssign though, and it's $99 for the online textbook/homework. And it's mandatory. He has 4 midterms and 1 final, and will drop one of your midterms and replace it with what you got in the final if it's better.

This is a hard class, but yousefi makes it super simple and understandable. I took his class over the summer and it was very compact like any summer class. There is 3 exams and 1 final, about 10-13 quizzes, fairly similar to ones in the homework. Exams and quizzes resemble homework and his lecture so just pay attention to the concepts.

Lectures are very helpful and he provides so many examples and works them out during class and answers any questions that anybody has. His quizzes are based on the homework so if you study the homework you will do fine on the quiz. His exams are also based on the homework. STUDY THE HOMEWORK! He also provides many opportunities to gain extra credit

Expect the hardest possible questions on the exams. I didn't expect that on the first midterm and it anchored my grade by a few percents. He teaches pretty well. If you review the material and study 5+ hours before each exam you should get at least B's on each exam pretty easily. If you've done all your HW he gives a nice grade boost at the end.

Overall, one of the best professors on campus. 10/10 would take again.

Prof. Yousefi teaches his class efficiently and at a pace where it shouldn't be too difficult to keep up with. Though the amount of work can get a bit overwhelming at times, he's somewhat lenient and he prioritizes his students understanding the material. He prompts students to ask questions and answers them well. Overall, he's a good professor.

Prof. Yousefi is one of the best math professors I've ever had. Calc 2 is pretty hard but he makes it very easy to understand. Not sure why people don't like him but in my opinion he's nice and very helpful. He offers a lot of extra credit which can boost test scores. I'd definitely take him again in the future.

Such a great professor. He's a great lecturer and the classes even tend to go by. He's the only teacher I have that gives in-class breaks too, which help incredibly. He does a lot of group work with almost bi-weekly engineering projects covering the material we just made. Some projects are cool, others ain't. But he always provides help for them!

He is a great professor and he explains very well the concepts. My algebra wasn't the best when I started the course and I was struggling with calculus. Fortunately with his help I was able to improve on my basic algebra and then the materials became much more clear. Try to review your algebra before you take calculus as you will use it A LOT.

This was the first math class I've ever got an A and thats saying a lot since I've taken too many. His classes are planned out very heavily. He posts lectures online and goes over the next lecture in class.. but he sometimes is forgiving a goes over the lecture he posts online too which is amazing. Overall good class and prof.

Some homework, few midterms and online quizzes, final, and one group project. Amazing professor, he's really good with his explanations and answering questions. He's super nice and helpful, but does get disappointed with less responsive classes. Only downsides are group project and flipped lectures, but he still reviews material in class.

Professor Yousefi is a great professor for Calculus and he is clear with his teaching and lectures. The way he teaches the course is through having a flipped classroom (Fall 2023). He answers any questions you have about the homework and solves the problem step by step. Overall he is a great professor and his reviews are similar to the tests.

Even though I've had trouble before, I got my first A in a math class. He plans everything carefully and explains the topics well in class. His lecture videos are awesome. His tests are very similar to the review problems. As a tip, review your basic algebra before taking calculus. Overall he is an amazing teacher, plain and simple.

You don't need to buy the book, just the code for webassign which has an online version of the book but even then you don't use it. You just need to take notes on the lectures and UNDERSTAND how to do the hw especially the review problems for the exams because those are basically the test questions.

Very knowledgeable and able to teach in a way that you understand. Answers any question. Make sure that you work on the review problems to be ready for his tests. I'm expecting to get at least an A- in this course.

Make sure to review basic algebra before taking this course, as you'll be using it a lot. His exam review questions are extremely helpful, be sure you fully understand them before each test. In my opinion, he's one of the best professors out there!
