If you want to actually learn then Dr.B is for you. Heavy work but provides lots of helpful material. Some Connect assignments can go up to 100+ questions but focus on repetitive topics so you actually remember the content well. She can be slow with emails but does weekly announcements to make class interactive. I took an 8W class & got an easy A.
I would advise students that she has students watch lecture videos 1hr+ long, and write notes based on the video. IMO it takes a lot of time off when you have other classes to work on and study for, so I'd suggest not taking another science class along with hers. She's a dedicated professor and doesn't mind explaining things in class.
She was very funny! I took the course in person, but we did all our lecture notes online at home. I personally wasn't a fan of this because it was hard for me to fit long videos into my schedule. However, this did allow for the whole class time to be lab and a lot more application based. Overall, I would take her again!
She knows what she's talking about. Just listen and keep an open mind; you'll be fine.
Lovely professor, but Lengthy lecture videos to watch at home before coming to class. A few times, class felt disorganized and time in class was not utilized to its highest potential for learning (sidetracked/off topic). Two separate tests per Unit (one at home multiple choice, one in class open-ended). Take all extra credit and attend all classes.
She makes class interesting. Heavy workload: 4 at-home mc exam and 4 in-class written exams (drops 2 each) plus 3 lab practicals, 1 presentation, 1 at-home final. Attendance matters. Videos help but are long; pre-labs required. Lots of extra credit. No lecture outline for exam but in-class reviews. Lab outline helps; know models. Very supportive.
She does one at home lecture exam, one in class exam, lab practical. Lectures are at home based and take notes on everything she speaks on its important and it helps with your exams! Lots of extra credit opportunities available! Attendance is important for in class notes grade.
She explains the materials very well and lets you know what will be expected on the exams. She does give a lot of extra credit opportunities. Attendance is mandatory as well as pre labs due before the class starts (they are easy). She provides reviews to help study and does group assignments in class. She is very nice and communicative.
She is very enthusiastic and full of energy when teaching. There is a lot of homework and the tests are tough, so you must study hard to keep up. The class isn't easy, but you will learn a lot. If you like a fast-paced class and a professor who pushes you, she's a great choice.
This class will require a lot of your time outside of the classroom. I would not recommend this class if you are taking multiple classes. If you can solely focus on this class, you can be successful, but know that it will require hrs of study per week. class is also exam heavy so consider that as well. Other than that, you should be good.
Lectures notes are a bit lengthy and required but taken at home during your own time and allow for class time to be utilized more effectively. It is not an easy class (at-home exams are easily failed) but if you keep up with the work, you'll be alright! Professor was a pleasure to have, very knowledgeable on the subject.
The professor gives engaging lectures, and shows genuine interest in students. The course includes 14 exams total, 5 online with webcam, 5 in person, 3 lab exams, and one final exam. She offers lots of extra credit and drops the lowest grades. The in person exams are very easy as she goes through the questions and answers the lecture before.
Good class, Dr B is very smart. The notes are taken at home & long but necessary. Class time spent by doing activities that help with learning info covered in the videos. Only complaint is the amount of tests. We had 12 exams: 4 in class (FR) , 4 at home w/ cam (MC), 3 lab practicals, & final. Maybe the in-class & at-home can be combined into one.
This Professor is a great human! I think she truly tries her best with the class. This class is exam HEAVY! You will be taking 4 additional exams then what you would do in another prof class. You will spend 1-4 hours watching videos at home. Plus she's going for a degree herself so I think she got distracted during our semester.
It was a good class with the exam reviews being basically the same as the exams so it was easy to get an A for this class. The grading took a lot of time with some assignments done on the first day of class not being graded until the end.
Dr. B, is a good overall professor, you just have to be prepared to work on a lot of materials and things move pretty quickly so you have to be prepared to answer any questions about the materials. All the material is really about memorization, be prepared for at home lecture exam, lecture in class exam, and lab practical all within the same week.
Dr. Brasher is a great professor! The content is difficult given it is A&P, but Brasher structures her course in a way to make learning possible. There's a lot of test but they cover the material lectured in notes or taught in class (pay attention!!). Substantive extra credit and no textbook homework. Would recommend for interactive learners.
Dr.Brasher made learning A&P II fun and understanding. She gave us well related worksheets that helped with retaining the knowledge. As long as you do the work and study you will be fine! There are no curves but she gives a good amount of extra credit, homework points, and in-class point to help with your grades. I would take her again!
Dr. B is a reasonable person who will give you supplemental fun ways to make very hard-to-understand concepts stick better. I never worried about the grade. I did everything she asked, including the extra credits. She has pre-recorded videos, the labs are very helpful and hands on, the teamwork activities like escape rooms are helpful.
Dr. B was great and the class was good. Lots of sitting at home watching videos and doing notes. More exams than usual as well. Be prepared for open ended exams. Have fun.
Dr. B is a great professor, her energy to teach each class/lecture never fails. She will always make sure what she taught was understood and will definitely give extra help if needed. She teaches what she will test on so everything talked about in class serves its purpose to pass the exams. She taught me great ways to study for success.
Professor Brasher is a professor you would not regret signing up for. She provides the necessary material for students to do well in her class. While the homework assignments can be strenuous, it's work for us to continuously practice. If you study, work hard, and stay on top her course, you will not fail. She has been supportive throughout!
Interactive class with escape rooms, worksheets, PPT notes, helpful lecture videos, and a group PPT presentation. Four at-home MC LockDown+WebCam exams (one drops), four in-class open response exams (one drops), three lab practicals (no drop), plus pre-labs. Stay all class for full credit, Lots of extra credit. Dr.B is great and easy to reach!
Professor B was great! Get ready to do lots of Homework, 40+ questions. 3 lecture exams 3 lab exams Final Exam 1 group project 1 discussion McGraw-Hill connect homework, virtual labs, & smart book Do the reviews! They are almost exactly to the exams. Overall, this class was a lot easier than I thought and enjoyed Professor B.
She was great! You definitely have to study a lot and she does require you to watch the lectures at home on your own time. However, id take her again if I needed too.
Took the 8-week online class. Tons of info, fast, and a heavy workload. Long McGraw-Hill assignments every week, 4 lecture exams, 3 lab exams, all proctored, plus a cumulative final and a group exam. Lots of extra credit, though, which really helps. Stay organized and manage your time well, and you can succeed in this class.
One of the best professors! I will say the workload is definitely there, but I did do an 8 week course. She is very easy to get in contact with and is super nice! I've taken her for anatomy 1&2 and I would do it over again!
Her course is not for the weak, but if you can survive, you will not regret taking her class. She tries to make sure that you really understand the materials. Mandatory attendance, be on time. Warning: lots of homeworks and lots of tests.
I really like how Dr. B works and how she manages the class and the labs. She has us practice with lab assignments, which helps us memorize. She also offers extra credit opportunities. She's super friendly and always has a smile, but She's very responsible with deadlines. If I had to take this class again, I would definitely take it with her.
Took an online 8wk class, so it was lecture and hw heavy, be prepared for it!! She gives a clear grading criteria and drops one of the lowest grades for a hw, lab review, and one lecture exam (4 in total). As long as you study and stay on top of your homework DAILY you'll pass. She always answered my emails in a timely manner, too.
Dr.B is a really good professor. It all depends on how much effort you put into studying and wanting to understand the material. She has many extra credit oppurtunities. Three exams per exam week. multiple choice,in class lecture exam and finally a lab practical. WIth each of these tests she has reviews. You have to purposly not study to fail.
She is the best choice if you need to take A&P. She makes class engaging with games while still providing clear, organized lectures. She answers all your questions, helps you understand the material, gives helpful feedback, and offers plenty of extra credit opportunities.
Took A&PI with Dr. Brasher and I'm glad I took AP2. There is a lot of homework, so make sure to get ahead and stay ahead. The homework forces you to learn so its great. There is lots of opportunity for extra credit. Don't over think the group project. I highly recommend this class.
Dr.B is one of the professors I totally recommend! The way she lectures is by students doing notes at home, in which the next day, she will review and go over any questions we had, which I totally liked about. She is really helpful when having any questions and teaches the material really well! She also gives extra credit, which is super helpful!
Professor Brasher was great! The course was clear and well-organized, and her videos and PowerPoints really helped. Homework was fair it can be a lot so plan ahead! And she was always supportive and easy to reach. I highly recommend her!
Some things can be confusing and it can be a lot of work, but with extra credit you'll be fine
She's a great professor ! Just do homework assignments and watch the lectures and you'll be good !
Class is straightforward. Since I enrolled in this 8-week course, I anticipated a heavy workload. However, she did offer extra credit opportunities as long as you complete those tasks and stay on top of your homework and lab assignments. Overall, it's not too challenging.
I took Professor Brasher's 8week class and it was easy to handle as long as you stayed on track. There was a lot assignments but if you plan ahead and don't procrastinate it'll be fine. She also gives a lot of extra credit, which really helps. The videos and powerpoint she gave us made the material easier to understand. She also answers her emails fast.
Dr. Brasher genuinely cares about students' learning and aims to prepare them for future success. She provides ample study materials and extra credit opportunities. While she can be a tough grader, she is fair and focused on helping students not only master her class but also become successful student.
Dr.B is everything I've always looked for in a professor. She is happy to adapt to each student and their learning style, and has given respect to me and my classmates since day one. There is plenty of opportunities for extra credit, and long as you pay attention in class and do studying on your own time, you will do just fine in this class !
Great Professor! It was a tough class, but I don't regret taking it. She includes a lot of extra credit work to help with your grade. As long as you turn in all your assignments and study hard, you'll pass the class.
Take advantage of all the work she gives u! She provides everything that you need for your field and for the test. Take advantage of extra credit, it will save u!!
Dr B is enthusiastic and straightforward. There are 4 exams, each has 3 parts: at-home, in-class lecture exam, and a lab exam every 3-4 weeks. Take as many extra credits as you can. If you want to be good at A&P, go with her. She will equip you with the skills you need for your future program. No pain, no gain.
I liked her teaching style, though she was very disorganized. Videos from years ago would be used and the due dates on D2L weren't updated to the current year. Regardless, she was an enthusiastic professor. You have 4 at home, 4 in person lecture, and 4 lab tests. 15 prefabs from the textbook and 15 notes. She gives a LOT of extra credit.
good prof would take again
Great teacher, fast paced and there is extra credit offered at the beginning and end of the semester.
Would take this professor again! Just be sure to get to class early to turn in assignments. There is a lot of extra credit assignments available to help raise your grade.
She cares about her students and the class can seem tough, but if you study hard, put in the time, and take advantage of extra credit you will be just fine!
Most amount of work ive ever done in a class, not recommended for anyone unless you want to become the best surgeon in the world in a couple weeks.
