i disagree with the reviews becuz i thought the same during the first few weeks that she was lost and confused..but seriously if u JUST write down her notes u will get an A guaranteed...her quizzes/ tests come RIGHT OFF her notes and she goes in depth, no studying from books!. no labeling exam figures, extra credit provided too.

I love her! lecture is easy to follow and in depth so all you really have to study is your notes for the most part and you have NO homework. definatly recommend Mrs Dy, she is very nice

This class is extremely intense with a lot of information to study and memorize. I would highly recommend her for lab or lecture.

She's very friendly & eager to answer any question that anyone may have whether it's before a test, through e-mail, or after lecture. she goes over the quizzes taken right after it's been taken, so students understand what they got wrong. attendance is MANDATORY in order to get a good grade. she uses overheads a lot & tests r based on book & lectur

Great Teacher! Probably one of the best I have ever had!!! Helpful, Friendly, To the point. Anatomy is Hard! So study, buy a tape recorder, take notes, attend anatomy club, Study your Butt Off! Ms. Dy gives study guides and gives plenty of office hours and email support! You will enjoy this class but be ready to study study study!!!

Mrs. Dy is a really nice teacher. This class is extremely hard though. Its not so much that the material is hard to grasp, its just a TON of stuff to memorize. But Mrs. Dy is really willing to work with you and is very understanding. I totally recommend her.

Teacher has great sense of humor! HARD Class...A lot of material!! Overwhelming and stressful... Definitely be ready to study everyday and everynight! Once you are done you will feel so much better!

The hardest class I have ever taken! She gives study guides in advance and I advise you to thoroughly answer each question on the study guide..its a must for a good test grade! Be prepared not to have a life with this class, but don't lose hope, you can do it! Just be prepared to be studying the entire semester.

She sticks very close to the source material although her lectures are confusing and very fast-paced. She is, however, a very clear speaker. My biggest concern was that she would devote about 2 1/2 hours to lecture with about 40 mins of lab time. This needs to change.

This class is hard so make sure you study. I highly recommend Professor Dy and feel she does a great job but make sure you study.

Mrs dy is awesome! I have taken her for anatomy 41 and now physiology. She is very clear, gives out study material that helps greatly. For all the people who write bad reviews, i bet they didnt do well in her class. If you show up on time and do your work, you will pass easily! I wish i could take her for more classes! highly recommend her!!!!!!!!

By far my favorite teacher in the 2 years that i have been here. she is incredible and teaches everything so clearly. yes it is a lot of work, but she tries to make it easy. i learned so much in her class. awesome professor although the subject itself is hard.

AFTER 180 UNITS HEATHER IS TIED FOR 1ST AS MY FAVORITE TEACHER. THE MATERIAL IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT SO EXPECT 10+ HOURS/WK HOMEWORK (15 IF YOU WANT AN A). IF YOU DON'T PUT 1 HR EVERYDAY YOU PROBABLY WON'T PASS. THERE IS NO CURVE. DESPITE THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL THOUGH, SHE IS AWESOME!!!!! SHE LOVES TEACHING AND IT SHOWS. 10 OUT OF 10.

Hiss DY is hands down THE BEST teacher for anatomy and physiology at LBCC. She is very clear on what to study has a way of making hard concepts easy to understand. Full of energy-NOT boring at all. Makes class fun. Genuinely a very nice person. Class is hard like it should be but if you study you should do well.

Class is a killer, but as an instructor Ms. Dy is very professional with a twist of humor thrown in. She takes time to get to know her students and treats them as people. but also doesn't award "favorites" if you want to pass this class, KNOW IT. I respect her for that. I would have her as a professor again.

One of the hardest classes ever.Wonderful teacher though she will help you understand even if it took all day. shes funny and keeps the class interesting.The tests are difficult.She will cut you NO slack. I recommend taking this only if it is required by a major.Be prepared to give an interesting fact about you on 1st day.i got a C.

Her class is HARD. She's really funny, and has a passion for teaching the subject. However, her tests are extremely hard. You spend your days studying everything only to be tested on mostly one area. It's test after test in her class. 20 very bright students had to drop due to how hard it is. Take it only if you REALLY have to. You've been warned.

TIPS TO GET A PASSING GRADE IN THIS CLASS: Attend every class meeting, audio record & take VERY detailed notes, FIND A STUDY GROUP, seriously know your terms & functions (basically know everything what she lectured in class), space out your studying...DO NOT CRAM, take pictures on anatomy models for the Lab Practicum. Good luck!

Mrs. Dy is a very personable teacher and teaches the subject well, having said that listen to the reviews of others. It is a hard/demanding class. Don't fall behind. Don't take to many other classes, or when life is too complicated. You will need 40 hours a week to dedicate to this class unless you have a photographic memory.

Ms. Dy is a fun teacher. She is very enthusiastic about teaching, which make her classes enjoyable. She gives extra credit on her tests. As with any science class, you need to be dedicated and study all the time. Take good notes and be noticed

Terrific professor. Funny, warm, and engaging her lectures were a pleasure to attend. My favorite class at LBCC; actually feels like a "college" class. To those who complain about difficulty: welcome to human anatomy and physiology. No professor is going to study for you so buck up and take some initiative.

I would take Mrs. Dy again because I enjoyed this class so much!!! She is teaching physiology in next spring and I absolutely will be in that class

I LOVE professor Dy! She's amazing and wants everybody to pass her class. She really cares for your success and is always willing to help you out. I love the way she lectures, she has outlines that you can print out that are SO HELPFUL when the tests come around, has a lot of online resources & is very nice. class is hard but not impossible to pass

Hard Class, lots of studying. 4 exams and a final, 5 practicums (memorization and spelling). Ch. Online assignments. You will learn every nook and cranny of the body and it's systems. I took it and I'm only in high school but my class went from 42 to 9. So beware. She is a great professor though, helpful and caring. She wants all to pass her class.

professor Dy is the best Anatomy and Physio teacher you could choose! she makes lectures so fun and so easy to understand, but you really have to put a lot of time on this class in order to pass it! i only took her for knowledge so i am more than ready to take anatomy by itself! amazing professor!!!

Highly recommend taking this course by itself unless you are retaking and know what to expect. Start off the semester strong and form study groups. If you really want to pass this class you will come to school on days you don't have her class to study with classmates. The gap in between lab practicums and lecture exams is a very short time to study

Highly recommend taking Mrs. Dy She is always willing to help students in need! She has lots of office hours and always there timely. I recommend making friends and start a study group ASAP! Always ask questions and get a recorder!

Keep up with the lectures, utilize her office hours, ask question for clarification and do your homework on-time if given for that semester. Go to the SI sessions if available by her student assistant. Read much as possible and with dissection use the lab don't wait till the last minute.

Dr. Dy cares a lot about the students who are putting in effort. The class is no joke, and she doesn't sugar coat it. If you're willing to give it 100%, you'll pass. Make friends early, form a study group and then hold on for the ride! She won't hand it to you, you have to work for it. I would take another class from Dr. Dy in an instant.

I just took her class online for the summer and even though it's extremely fast paced, it's definitely doable. Yeah, she's picky when it comes to grammar, but we are in college so it's expected. She's definitely on top of her emails and responds quickly. If she see's we're behind on assignments she gives us an extra day & extra credit opportunities

Professor Dy is the best instructor i have ever taken in my 3 years at LBCC. She's so sweet and really wants her students to pass. She's also hilarious! With that being said, this class is a challenge. Be prepared to study during all your free time for the semester! In the end, its worth it tho. If you put the effort in, you will pass this class.

She is the best professor. The class is hard but its do able. You have to do extra work outside this class in order to pass. Make flash cards, read the materials and then go to tutoring.

She's a great instructor, and just because the course was too difficult for me doesn't mean that she's awful. She's a great teacher. In fact, possibly one of the best. She's really caring and wants you to pass her class.

Anatomy in general so alot but she really makes it interesting to learn. Shes pretty funny for the 8am class i took. Was one of the best classes Ive taken at LBCC.

professor Dy was amazing!!!! just cause the class is rated difficult does not mean its not doable, anywhere you take this class it will be pretty dense but she teaches it very well. she's very lighthearted and pretty funny. Don't be afraid to ask for help, she really wants you to pass her class.

Im an Automotive major & decided to take this class for fun. Let me tell you despite the amount of work there is in the class she is an AMAZING professor. She really cares about us (students). She is so so helpful. This is a class that you have to be on the same pace or ahead dont fall back. Quizzes & exams given STUDY & youll be okay I promise !

Overall I enjoyed Professor Dy's class. Her lecture videos were extremely helpful and the labs were fairly easy to do too. Hardest part of the class is having to memorize everything for tests and exams; study guides are given but they loosely cover what is going to be on the exam. Best part of the class was dissecting a pig and other body parts!

Really good teacher, funny , and is very knowledgeable. Its just the subject that demands a lot of work and studying that you must do to get a good grade. If you dont need it, dont take it because its very hard and time consuming. Gives good extra credit opportunities that I recommend doing even if you have a grade in the middle like a 65%.

You really have to dedicate time studying for this class. Professor Dy knows how hard this class can be. She really cares and wants you to pass this class. She is really nice and does great job lecturing in class. She gives some extra credit. Make sure to turn in the hw and lab assignments, she assigns them to help you add points toward your grade

Dy has so much knowledge to impart on students--so much that she never dismisses class early. Entertaining and keeps students engaged. My advice: form a study group and connect with other groups in the class (as a back-up); try your best to never miss lecture and/or lab; watch the videos she posts as a helpful review before tests. Study hard!

loved this class! professor Dy was very understanding when I was unable to do an assignemtn on time due to family matters. she gave great feedback for the disscusion posts so i could better my response. the class is very reliant on the reading so make sure you read the chapters you need to read! this is one of the best science classes I've done (:

Dy is amazing! The class itself is DIFFICULT since it's a lot of information, but she's a great professor. Dy puts everything you need to know on her slides/gives hints if something specific is going to be on the test. She also gives ~a lot~ of extra credit on exams, assignments, and surveys! Extremely funny. One of the best professors I've had.

Form a study group quickly. It's best to have your peers accessible just in case you have questions. It's easy to get points through the assignments. They will help you boost your grade especially if your test grades are low. Lecture has a lot of info but she posts her previous lectures for you to rewatch. Overall great class. Would take her again.

She is very nice and takes her time answering any questions you may have. YOU MUST attend each class to pass this class. Do not take this class if you are not ready to put your absolute all into it meaning skipping events to study etc. She is very helpful and uploads lectures to help. Studying is an absolute requirement to pass her class.

Professor Dy cares about your ability to succeed in her class. She offers a lot of extra credit. I noticed many dropped the class because they bombed some of the tests earlier in the semester but it's definitely possible to recover. You just have to learn how to best study for the tests and find a good group to do labs with and study.

Class is hard overall but with the right effort and time put into it it is possible to pass. Her lectures are 2 hours long but very detailed and precise. Great instructor overall and very organized class in general is tough.

The subject overall is hard to teach, but Dy does her best to make it as digestible for students. She provides lots of study material that I found helpful. She offers extra credit on lecture + lab exams as well as separate assignments. Fast grader, too! Def one of the best physio professors you can take!
