This instrctr is awsom. She gvs alt of info, but she's wllng to hlp u stdy and wllng to clrfy in dffrnt ways so u undrstnd. She's fun and enthsstc abt tchng the mtrl, so lctr is fun. You dfntly get out wht u put in, I busted my butt cuz i screwed up the 1st exam, but i got a B on the final and a B overall. I highly recommend her for micro.

Heather is amazing--she is very willing to meet with you and help you, and she makes everything really clear during class. She'll walk around during the lab and help anyone who doesn't understand or know how to use the equipment, and she makes the information applicable and interesting.DEFINATELY take her if you get the chance!

Heather is really nice. She is very helpful. Her test are hard but as long as you study you will be okay!

This teacher is SOOOOOO much fun. She used humor and links real life into her lectures. She is by far the BEST teacher I have ever had! However, she does use concept/essay questions on her quizzes and exams.

Dr. Fitzgerald works harder than any professor I've ever had. She assigns a ton of homework, and all of it is relevant and helpful. She is ultra available for extra help, & I recommend taking advantage of it unless you're a genius. She genuinely cares about her students, and she works to develop student study skills as well as subject knowledge.

Had her for Bio health and loved her class. Nothing overly special about her teaching style but she is very approachable and is always willing to answer questions. Would have taken her for Micro but she's out on maternity leave. If you go to class, study for quizzes and do what you are supposed to you'll pass the class with flying colors.

Heather is by far the best instructor EVER. She assigns a lot of homework and research but its worth it, that way if you mess up on a test you're not screwed.Her teaching style is amazing, I don't think anyone could NOT understand the material. TAKE HER!!! (but do all you're homework :)) Easy A if you do what you're supposed to!

Heather is a really good teacher. My advice is to take her and max out all the assignments she gives you. You will definetly pass even if you fail the exams there are that many extra points! i loved her teaching style, notes are easy to follow and exams are based off of what we did in class! GREAT TEACHER!

Dr. Fitzgerald has a passion for teaching. I enjoyed her class very much. She suppliments material outside of the textbook--articles, internet searches, etc. She uses traditional teaching (board outlines), as well as laptop/projector to show internet videos/pictures of concepts. She also does in-class group participation. She is tough; but fair.

I had Heather a couple of semesters ago for microbiology. She is a wonderful teacher. She makes learning fun and goes out of her way to make sure her students fully understand all concepts taught in her class. If you show up to all classes and take good notes, you will do well on her tests. Fantastic..take her!!!

Takes forever to grade material and her tests are from the twilight zone! Nice lady but DUN DUN DUN BEWARE!

She is the best teacher i've ever had. She is good at what she is doing, very wise lady, compassionate, loves teaching and very nice. Her tests aren't easy but if you study and understand the lecture INSIDE OUT then you should be fine. I got an A in her class but i had to work hard for it. She inspired me to do my residency in Viral oncology!

Heather is an awesome teacher! She is the best Bio teacher I've had at CNM...and I've had a lot! She is clear at what she wants you to know. Lots of work, with hw, quizzes every week, but it's helpful for the exams. She is great! I recommend taking her!

Heather is amazing. Yes, its true she is hard but this is college not high school anymore. If your going into a nursing/medical field dont cry about a class being too hard. Heather goes out of her way to help her students.

I would HIGHLY recommend her classes, she is AWESOME! Lot's of extra credit, homework, attendance pts., etc., very good in incorporating real scenarios, this is not an easy class, but if you're not ready to study going into the med. field, you prob. should re-eval your goals. You better know your stuff working w/patients! A++++++++++ Professor!

Very helpful, keeps her lectures interesting and relevant, more than willing to provide help and answer questions during lab, doesn't mind answering questions during lecture, never minded if you kept her after class, really made you think about why you were answering a question the way you were answering it. I really learned biology in her class!

Heather is AWESOME!!! This was my 2nd time taking this class and she was WAY better than my last instructor! Very clear on the subjects and always willing to answer the questions in different ways to get the point across! Highly Recommended!!

Heather is AWESOME! That being said, she is one of the hardest instructors I've ever had. Study study study and you'll do fine. If you've got A.D.D. like me, she's the perfect instructor for you. I had no trouble paying attention in class. She makes class very fun and interesting .

Heather is a fantastic teacher. She really made patho2 fun and very straight forward. She gives notes and powerpoints. After I studied the textbook and bombed my first test, I went only off her notes and got A's on the remaining exams. Study her notes, show up for class, pay attention in lecture. Heather is amazing!!! She is a wonderful teacher and honestly loves what she is doing! She makes everything interesting and tries her best to help students do well. It's a subject that requires a lot of studying, but with all her homework and some quizzes tests aren't bad at all!

Heather is super funny and easy going while still being a really good teacher. She is very caring and always gives you the benefit of the doubt. She will always answer questions and help as much as you need while never making you feel stupid for having trouble. She's great. I would take her for everything if I could.

Great professor her class is really fun and she makes the content interesting so class isnt so boring. But her exams are extremely diffiult and if you do not study then you will fail her class because the majority of your grade is based off exams.

Greatest Professor I have ever had! Her lectures are amazing, so amazing the Info sticks, making the exam and quizzes easy to pass! If I could take all my bio classes with her I would. Attendance isn't mandatory but I wouldn't miss a class since her lectures are reflected on the exams and quizzes.

SHE IS AWESOME! test every week which are hard. be prepare to study a lot for a A. she is a really hard grader. her quizzes you are required to write and explain your answer so beware

I love Heather and I will always recommend her to everyone. She expects a lot but that should only drive you to study more and do better. I wish I can take all of my bio classes with her. 1 project, 4 exams, and a few homework but she's a fair grader. Take her if the opportunity arise!

Heather is a fantastic lab instructor. She is very clear with the subject and is super encouraging - everyone came away with the feeling that they could conquer the material. She's always ready to help you if you need it. Quizzes are difficult but she tells us exactly what we need to study.

Heather is phenomenal! Such a great professor, caring and respected. Makes Microbiology super fun. Quizzes on most weeks which can make or break you but she is required to do that. She makes her lectures before lab so much fun and she's hilarious. Would take again for any class she teaches.

Shes very intelligent and passionate, which makes the subject more enjoyable and it makes it easier to listen to her lectures. Very funny, high energy, easy to get along with. Class still took a lot of effort. She makes sure you learn, not just memorize.

Dr. Fitzgerald is by far the BEST professor I have ever had. Her lectures are engaging, she is willing to answer questions, and the homework and quizzes she assigns are very helpful in studying. However, if you like organized, PowerPoint memorization, she is not the right professor. Reading and understanding the book and doing examples is MANDATORY

Heather is one quality professor. She strives to help her students to learn and succeed in and out of the classroom. Not only is she knowledgeable but she also engages the class with helpful handouts, funny youtube videos and practical examples. She is very approachable, encourages students to ask questions and offers lots of extra credit.

PPt memorization is key with her! Lots of information to memorize but she makes it more easier to memorize. Mostly common sense. Best to not miss class. Homework and studying for quizzes helps to pass! Pay attention and youll do great.

Heather is a good instructor. She is clear on grading. Every week we had a quiz; study for them because they are a bit difficult but she does drop the lowest score. Turn in post labs or it will bring grade down. There where 2 exams midterm and final. You have to study and work for it in order to pass class.

Professor Fitzgerald is one of the best instructors at CNM. I've really enjoyed microbiology lab with her and would look to take other classes she teaches. I feel that I have learned a lot this semester and she is fair in her grading criteria. This lab has made microbiology so much more interesting & I am grateful to have had her this semester.

I have never loved a professor as much as I love Heather. She is excellent at explaining difficult concepts and really finds ways to make the concept resinate with students. I had her for microbiology and she made me genuinely excited to learn about bacteria. On my last day of class I was genuinely sad to leave. Heather is gem.

Awesome professor. Very passionate about biology and tries to make lectures entertaining. The class is difficult and requires a lot of studying. She writes all notes on the board which get confusing and hard to follow. But she truly cares about her students (asked me if everything was okay after a bad test score). I'd take her again if I could.

Heather has an easy going style of teaching. She explains hard concepts well. However, if you prefer neat notetaking, beware. She writes everywhere and doesn't follow a powerpoint. She is very animated and makes lectures fun and interesting. Attendance is important as she gives lots of information every class.

Professor Fitzgerald is really caring and kind when it comes to her class and allows multiple attempts or submissions if you didn't get a great grade the first time. It is more difficult when you have to work full time while taking classes but definitely not impossible like other courses.

Professor Fitzgerald went out of her way to help me during the final lab project and with the class study guides. The class is a lot of work online, with long study guides every week, but the quizzes aren't bad. She gave weekly classwork announcements and grading feedback that were helpful..

Amazing professor. There was a study guide and quiz due at the end of every week. The study guides are great for tests and the final project. Gives amazing feedback. The study materials are broken down and understandable. Would definitely take this lab again.

I have enjoyed doing micro lab in person. In my experience Mrs. Fitzgerald is easy to get along with and helped me a lot in this class. The class is fast and requires you to show up every week to stay on top of things. Weekly quizzes and a big midterm like online, but still more fun in person. I'd recommend her.

Took it online, and I wish I wouldve taken it in person. It was a good class still. The prof is very accessible and provides great responses

I can't believe there are reviews on here saying that Heather is rude/arrogant. Heather was probably the sweetest, most helpful, and smartest instructor I've ever had at CNM. Granted, I had a huge crush on her but I'd be saying the same things even if I didn't. She genuinely cares about the students and gives thoughtful feedback when grading.

I loved Professor Fitzgerald. She is really REALLY trying to help you learn the material and I LOVED THIS. She did exam corrections for partial credit, did participation pts and quizzes. You will need to study extensively for Microbiology PERIOD. I know the material very well now, which is why I took the course.

I took her for both microbiology and micro lab. She is the best teacher I have ever had. There is a solid amount of homework and extra credit opportunities and she was super helpful. I recommend being in class everyday because she will test you on what was covered in class and not what is in the book.

Heather was such an amazing Professor and actually cared whether you passed her class. I took her for Micro Lab and she was so much help with the final paper! She was incredibly encouraging during the whole semester and I would beg her to teach Patho because she really tries to explain to you in a sense that you would understand the material.

Professor Fitzgerald is hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. She made microbiology super easy to understand and very fun to learn. As long as you pay attention during her lectures and ask questions when you are confused, she will help you pass easily. All her exams were super easy and the homework is almost little to none.

Amazing Patho 2 professor. Heather is hilarious and sweet, she explains every concept in a down-to-earth way that is easy to understand. She makes her own slides that are detailed and contain lots of infographics to help you remember every concept. Class was always fun with her, if you are going into Level 1 Nursing I highly recommend this prof!

Heather is the best biology professor I've had. She cares so much about her students and just wants to see us succeed. Micro is a hard class in general, BUT she tries to make it fun and upbeat, rather than just lecturing for 2 hours. Although, this class was hard, I appreciate Heather for helping me out. Not to mention, she has funny humor!

Exceptional teacher, talks fast, record audio to review, will let you take pics of notes after class, will let you email for feedback before you submit an assignment, you get tests/quizzes back to study, lots of quizzes/hw but to your advantage. Takes time to explain things during class, office hours, emails. Lab & Lecture 10/10 PLS ADOPT ME!!!

Professor Fitzgerald absolutely makes such a huge impact on her students! She gives clear feedback, and her quizzes and exams are fair. Honestly, if you take good, detailed notes, you will do great! She is the nicest human ever. Micro is not an easy A but attend class, office hours, etc. and you'll be fine. She is an AMAZING professor!

Very amazing and encouraging professor. She truly cares about her students and their success. She is very encouraging both in and outside of class and offers a lot of extra help if it is needed. She is also very understanding of life circumstances and is very understanding, I would take her for every class if I could.

I have taken Professor Fitzgerald for Micro lecture/lab and Patho now; I can definitely say that she is an amazing professor. She is very encouraging and passionate about the things that she teaches. How could you not love her! She was very responsive and very encouraging! I had her for an online Bio lab and loved her even though I hadn't met her. She responds super fast and provides excellent resources for help in the course or life.

This lab was surprisingly hard but taught me so much. This professor was SUPER ready to provide help and support. I went to in person office hours and she was very receptive and knowledgeable. The only thing I found really hard was that the final was worth such a large percent of the grade. I really hope I get to take her again in the future.

Heather is always ready to assist students in understanding anything that might be confusing. I've taken her for both Microbio lecture and Patho II and for both classes she has been always willing to help students and has offered extra credit and clear grading schedules. On top of that, her lectures are entertaining. Love her!
