Heather is really hard at first, but gets better. She doesn't really pay attention to what she taught in class with the "test bank" questions that are randomly picked for the test so make sure to read the whole chapters and understand them. Her lectures are straight from the book. Literally. 20 points essays on the test. Not as hard as you think.

Heather is a great teacher. At first her class was very difficult but later on it got a lot better. She is very helpful if you have questions, so just ask. Her tests aren't too bad, multiple choice with extra credit at the end. Oh and she has pop quizzes which are hard only if you haven't done the reading.

About half of the students dropped the class, and many were retaking it. No consistency (if she says the quiz will be on ch 12, expect it to be on any chapt) and she does not accept responsibility for test questions that an usual A students get "wrong" (most teachers realize the need to drop the question). Do NOT recommend!

Marrs is a great professor. She expects you to read BEFORE you get to class. The quiz questions are usually from the back of the chapter or much like it. She is fair and helpful but needs time to make a choice about dropping a question and not when asked on the spot. Emailing is best because it gives her time to think and respond appropriately.

There is a strong sense of being set up for failure in her class. She picks her favorites and if you are not one of them, then you will have a difficult time. Some of her test questions did not even come from the required textbook. I do not recommend her!

Very hard, fast paced class. She definitely has her favorites, and almost seems annoyed by some questions, but she is still helpful. She teaches directly from the book. Read your chapters, take notes of anything she mentions not in the text, as it is all game for tests. Pay attention and be prepared to devote a lot of time to study!

I'm honestly shocked by some people's comments. I haven't seen Heather pick any 'favorites' or get frustrated with questions. In fact, she's encouraged us to ask questions. She's a very fair teacher. Yes, the course is somewhat hard but what did you expect, it's a fast paced science class. Her tests are fair and I would recommend her as a teacher.

Prof. Marrs broke down anatomy in a way all students can understand. She cares about students succeeding and understanding the material versus cramming every insufficient detail about the human body. She was very graceful with grading, and her study guides helped!! Be prepared to spend 3-4 hrs studying with 2-3 chapters of notes and reading each wk

Dr. Marrs was an excellent professor, she was sure to answer everyones questions during class. There are 3 practicals and 3 lecture exams, these are the hardest in her class. If you study you will do well! Everything is due Sundays which allows for flexibility. She wants everyone to do well and cares about her students.

Heather was amazing. It was always very clear to me what to except in the class when it came to grading, and what would be on the quizzes. Each quiz was open note and she didn't make us waste time on memorizing pointless information. Very smart and she has real life clinical experience so she was making sure to teach the most valuable information

Lectures are informative and easy to listen to. The hw/lab assignments are time consuming but easy to get full pts. The lab exams are VERY easy if you put in effort. The lecture exams, however, cover LOTS of information + its a bit hard to study for, even when given a study guide. She has extra credit to make it up and wants you to succeed, though!

Has a point system so you can tell when you need to start working on your grade. THE HOMEWORK WILL SAVE U. do your HW. It is easy to lose points & gain points. 2 quizzes every week, pre-lab quiz (Based on the lab) & exit quiz (Based off the chapter) Good workload, Lab, HW & sometimes class assigments, 3 exams. Very nice lady.

I often felt lost and overwhelmed, as the instructions lacked clarity and added to the confusion. Frustrating class. The content was disorganized, making it hard to know what to focus on. When I asked for help during her office hours, she turned me down and offered little guidance. Not recommended if you need clear support.

She has interesting lectures and explains stuff really well. My tip is if you get the textbook, only skim for pictures. She has a weekly quiz based off lecture, notes allowed. Her study guide isnt super good, I'd rec. going into more detail bc exam ?s are detailed. Do good on the pearson HW!! Labs are pretty easy and we usually left earlier

She is quick with email responses, has clear instructions on assignments, has the quarter planned out in the syllabus, and is overall one my of top instructors at EVCC. Her assignments are manageable, however her tests she gives can be difficult. Highly recommend her!

She does exit quizzes weekly but you can use 1 page of notes and the coloring pages/lab reviews. the big exams are all take home and open book/notes. you have a few days to get them done! She is all around amazing and I am taking her again for physiology!
