Professor Mayernik is not easy. She makes you work for every grade you get. I was getting a D and she never gave up on me. I brought my grade up because I want to work for her and get better. I think she is the kindest teacher I ever met.

We had 6 tests and a lot of technology projects but i liked seeing what everyone did. Everyone made movies and they were cool to watch. A lot of work but fun to do.

This professor is professional, understanding about learning needs, and approachable. She sets up our class as a place I feel comfortable. Ms. May told our class today that 13 out 21 of us has perfect attendance. I don't know why she was surprized because we all are enjoying this class. She makes it very easy to improve because she is pretty laid back and lets us all share our opinions about what we read. It is cool to here what other people think about the topics in the articles.

The thing I like about this class is the teacher gives you a lot of choices. She doesnt give you a choice about tests but we do projects on subjects we want to learn about. This lets us identify topics that we want to specialize in and learn about further in college.Very good class. Teacher is supportive and understands all types of people.

This class is amazing. You don't think you need it at first but when you start talking about what the obstacles that get in your way of success are and how to get over them success starts to happen. you learn successful student principles and how to practice them. She is a great teacher! The class is fairly easy. There is a lot of discussion. Some of the discussion is on the stories we read, and some of it is on Outliers. Attendance is required. You will need to do vocabulary and make an Animoto video. You will also find a controversial article and critique it using the standards in the book. Very fun class!

Mrs. May does so many reading activities that actually help comprehension. She makes us actually talk about what we read. Other teachers don't care if you read. they just saY READ CHAPTERS 3-6 AND COULD CARELESS IF YOU READ. Great class and helps a lot. You will get reading and ready in this class. She is so patient and helps everyone.

I think the professor wants her students to achieved there goals and try there best and participation does matters because the professor wants her students to be active in the class and help others and give them feedback and uses the books it might help you to study for the test and highlight in the workbook

This is the best class to take your first semester at Macomb. You will make friends in this class that you will keep. It will be more meaningful if you read the book. A poster project is due. Everyone did a good job. Mr. Mayernik gives you steps so it was nice. I don't want my class to end.

I will use the word personalized for this class. I never am afraid to ask questions and when I do Mrs. Mayernik is always there to listen and respond with amazing examples. If someone says they want to be in a type of job Mrs Mayernik tells them all about it. If they say they are having trouble, she helps them figure it out. She pays attention.

This is by far the best teacher who can make the worst student turn into the best student. She really does this. She makes you very happy for everything you got and makes you want to make everyone take her. People who never talk in class said she makes them open up and this class is just what everyone said it would be, I didn't want to take it.

She is a great teacher and a great person. She is very easy going and easy to talk to. I don't usually connect with my teachers but she is definitely somebody you can connect with and feel comfortable talking to. She's very honest and helpful when it comes to life and education. Lectures weren't always focused on the classwork. But overall a great class. Has a lot of reading. If you get behind a week it may be a bit difficult to catch up. If you stay on track you'll do great. Super easy to get a good grade and tests were very easy as well.
