Mrs. Moore is a great teacher she was very helpedful you will love this class just pay attention.
Best teacher at COS yet. She actually wanted her students to get it and pass the class. Very helpful. This class kicked my ass but I got an A thanks to an incredible teacher.
She is VERY helpful and guides you through the enitre course. She's at the Hanford campus right now (hopefully soon in Visalia) but she's worth the drive :)
Okay.. Dr. Moore is a very talented teacher I had her for Anatomy and Physiology. She is always available to answer questions or to help you understand any topics taught. She will go above and beyond to help you succeed in her classes. She is has a lot of content in her class and you do need to pay attention and attend if you want to succeed!
"Hands down the best Bio treacher at COS"...she should never change the way she teaches. The class was very well taught and you learn a great deal from her class. She is very helpful and goes out of her way to make sure you understand the subject material. Class is very to the point, no mystery on what your suppose to learn!
Great teacher, always willing to help! Want's to make sure you know the material, not regurgitate what is in the book.
knows the subject well very personable!! Easy and helpful just make sure you study!
Took for both anatomy and physio same semester. left mid semester for baby. otherwise good teacher. expect to do work in the class but you will learn. provides class with notes to follow lecture. tests off the lecture notes. Will have homework. If you do your work you should do fine in the class
also took for bio 31. awsome teacher. had to leave on maternity leave mid semester. but still great while i had her.
Very Good!
Pretty fast-paced class. She has a lot of fill-in-the-blanks questions.
She's an awsome teacher the only thing that bites is that her test and quizzes contain a written answer where you have to expalin a certain function or funtions in somewhat of a detailed format to get the points. Her tests contain multiple choice questions along with matching and fill in the blanks. Whetther its a quiz or a test its ALL there!
fast paced-moderate work load.
This is the anatomy professor you want.
She's awesome! She is very helpful and understands where her students are coming from. Before taking her class students would comment on how awesome she was and now i know why.
Dr. Moore is a GREAT teacher, and a very sweet person. I'd recommend her class for everyone!!
Excellent professor that is willing to put in the extra time to help students succeed. Attend the tutor hours to earn your A! Good luck!
Like everyone said, she's awesome, and pretty sweet. Not to mention, really helpful. Her tests are not easy & it's hard to guess on them, so you will have to study to get a good grade, a lot of quizzes and tests awaiting you, and she's there to help if you need her. Great teacher overall
Dr. Moore's got it goin' on! I had her for both anatom and physio, and I can honestly say that her class is what helped me pass the teas test! And now I'm in the nursing program! I got B's in both classes, but I remember everything she taught us. to this day! She is sincere, and everyone should experience what a great teacher is by having her!
Dr. Moore is the best Biology teacher I've ever had. Her class is not easy but she gives us all the materials and opportunities to learn and get the info down. I had her for both Anatomy and Physio.
Dr. Moore is the best. She explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand. She deserves her Pepper.
I took her for both 30 & 31. Just realize that the class material is hard material with ANY TEACHER. with that being said, she is your BEST CHANCE for understanding an already hard subject. She teachs in a way that you can understand and she will answer ALL questions and never make you feel dumb about it! AMAZING TEACHER.GO to hanford to take her!
She is a great teacher, explains things very well. Everything you need to know she gives you in a handout and goes over in glass. Taking her again for Physiology, wouldn't recommend taking any other teacher. She is very understanding and will work with you if you have issues arise. A++
Best teacher ever for Anatomy! Her test come straight from her notes so just study those like crazy. Make flashcards out of her notes(she gives you notes so you just have to add extra stuff). I got a high A in the class because I studied her notes like crazy. And she tells you what is going to be on your lab test. Also you can always go her 4 help!
Dr. Moore is the best teacher i have ever had!!She explains everything and if you have any questions shes willing to help!I understood everything she taught!Ended up getting an A and without her i wouldnt have passed bio!Just study your packets and you will be golden!I would love to keep taking her as a teacher if she taught all the classes i took!
Great Teacher!!
She is an amazing teacher. She will work with you, very understanding.
She is an amazing teacher. She works with you and cares about her students. She wants you to pass, if you don't get a good grade in this class you didn't try at all. This class is very hard to get in and fills up FAST, but e-mail her and she has a personal wait list!!
Great teacher best bet for Anatomy I took Dr. Trimble at the main campus for Bio. 30 and boy are they night and day.I withdraw and gave it another shot w/Dr. Moore Worth the drive shes nice, explains things very well and always willing to help her students.
Love the way she lectures. Provides tools to help you understand the material. She is there if you are struggling with the material and will clarify it for you until it is understood. It will be easy as long as you study the material and understand it.
Great person, but not a great teacher. Knows what shes talking about but doesn't explain well. Straight A student, didn't pass because i mainly didn't explain myself well in the essay questions on exams so therefore I lost alot of points. I'd go to a different college before COS to take your biology courses.
AWESOME INSTRUCTOR!!! Provides handouts on exactly what she will be lecturing on.Use handouts to your advantage. Write on them, highlight whatever she explains in class & review that for quiz & tests & you'll do well. She loves her job & is there to help. She wants her students to be successful. You have to study, there's no way around it. Got A's
Dr. Moore was probably the best teacher I have ever had. I was in her Physiology class fall 2012. She is beyond very approachable and is so down to earth. Her class is not easy because there is nothing easy about physiology but she makes it interesting and keeps your attention even during the dry parts. Do not take anyone else!!!!!
Dr.Moore is amazing! One of my favorite teachers. She is really helpful and in order to get a good grade you HAVE to put in the effort.Whenever I emailed her she got back to me fast and solved my problem.I took her in Anatomy and Physio.Best choice out of my courses at COS.
She gives you everything you need to pass this class. You can print off note outlines, flash cards, study guides, she tells you what the essay questions on tests will be. She couldn't make it any simpler. But it is tough material so you have to put in the work yourself and get it memorized!
Dr.Moore is the best science teacher at COS.She is very approachable and makes herself readily available for any of her students. She responds very fast and answers any questions.Though she is a great teacher, the course is a challenge.Study every bit of material she gives because sometimes she asks questions you normally would skip over.
Best professor I've had at COS! She is very helpful and approachable! She will answer any question that you have for her. I recommend taking her for Anatomy and Physio. I wish she taught micro.
Best teacher hands down. Dr. Moore is a GREAT teacher with an awesome personality. She is very helpful and very patient. These classes are not easy but I've learn more in her two classes than any classes at cos.
If you are willing to study hard and learn a great deal of useful info this is it. Dr Moore is awesome professor who teaches at a level where any student can achieve an A if you put in your effort. She test/quiz you off of her handouts just study them good and your golden. I'd wish I had taken her for physio as well but i had taken it elsewhere
Dr Moore makes learning a tough subject easier to understand. She test/quiz you on what's taught in class but study them bc anatomy is not supposed to be an easy subject. A lot of memorization. You can't achieve if you don't work for it. She loves to teach so pease ask if you don't know.
Taking Dr. Moore (during summer school) thanks to the advice of this site and my counselor paid off. The drive is worth it with such a helpful teacher. She does a great job as a teacher and goes above & beyond for her students' success. I earned an A+ in this class despite its intensity of being a summer course! Of course lots of studying is a MUST!
She is great! Not an easy course but she helps a much as she can!
Dr. Moore is very helpful, knowledgeable, and informative. She goes way out of her way to help her students. Not an easy A, but if you take time to memorize the material and study packets it can be. The students that don't succeed just didn't study enough. Everything you need to know for exams is given to you, but its up to you to learn it.
Dr. Moore is the best! Very helpful and try's her best to get back to you on time. I would recommend her to anyone that is required to take A&P.
Dr. Moore is an amazing teacher. She is extremely intelligent and very approachable. I always looked forward to going to her lectures. If you have to take Anatomy, TAKE MOORE!
I didn't feel like she was clear. She gave us so much information and packets plus lab stuff. I understand this class was going to be tough but not this hard. I was so confused on what to study. She said that we got to know everything and when it came down to studying for test and quizzes it was difficult to know what to study.
Great professor.!(:
Dr. Moore is so good to her students! I took a different teacher for anatomy, but I wish I had taken Dr. Moore instead. Her tests are very hard so it's essential to study really hard for them. But everything else is pretty simple and easy to get good grades on because she knows how tough it is for people to get As in this course.
Dr. Moore is amazing! She's clear, and although her lectures are long, but she keeps your attention, and uses real life clinic examples to describe what she's talking about. Tests are not hard if you really put time to study. Amazing teacher that is there for you and goes above and beyond for her students. Wish she taught all my classes!
She's amazing . I really enjoyed her class. Too much material to learn, but if you study each session you will be fine
I took Dr. Moore for both anatomy & physiology! She is the best teacher I have ever had. You need to absolutely study her lecture handouts to pass the lecture exams. In general, both classes are hard (for me physio was harder. still passed withan A) Put in the time to study & you'll pass. She makes you work for that A but she helps! Guarantee it!
Bio classes are tough so be ready to be responsible and learn! Taking these classes means you're going into Nursing or some type of medical field career, so might as well prepare for the worst anyways, right? Took this class in the summer and passed with an A+ & same goes for Physio. with her too! She is truly the BEST- & now I'm in the RN program!
Dr. M makes material fun to learn. Gives examples from her life experiences so that info is memorable very helpful & approachable use office hrs. , always there to help and wants to. She believes in all her students, it's up to u to not get behind, read, & study! All the tools are given to u, the students that don't pass don't use them. Thank u dr!
A very hard class, so don't miss class & study study study outside of class. She's us very relatable & will try her best to help you out or work with you. She gives you all the tools, you just have to put in the work to earn the grade. I have only looked at my book 3 times, she pretty much provides you with the handouts, so print them out! She's A+
Would take her again. She's so great with her students wants them to succeed. She's also very approachable. Never be afraid to ask questions. If you don't understand ask.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! She teaches the material in a way you are able to understand it and learn it. If you really study the lecture notes the exams won't be so hard. Dr. Moore wants all her students to be successful and is extremely approachable. She gives you all the tools if you do your part you'll get a good grade. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER!
Got an 89.2% which is borderline to an A and passed with an B+ and I busted my ass. I recommend another professor.
Dr. Moore is seriously the best teacher!!! Tons of material; however she explains the material in a way that's easy to grasp and understand! Dr. Moore is always willing to help and explain things further if you still don't understand the lecture.
I took Bio and Physio with Dr. Moore. Both were very difficult classes, but she made learning the material as easy as she could. She has excellent lectures and provides detailed study guides for each class meeting. She's always willing to answer questions or explain things further.
. Considering the fact that anatomy and Physio are probably the hardest classes you can take she makes it possible to get an A in the class. Took this class during the summer though it was fast pace her teaching made it possible to understand the material. She gives you all you need to know what you need to do to earn your grade. Extra credit!!
Dr. Moore is an AMAZING professor. This class was by far the toughest class I have taken but her teaching method makes it very easy to understand the concepts. I was so lucky to get into her class. Study your notes and ppt and put your best effort into the class and you will do great. She will assist in any area you need help.
The class isn't hard just requires a lot of time to study, which i did not have due to being full time student and full time working, very manageable to get an A if this is your only class and/or don't work. Almost a quiz every week and 4 big lecture tests which can make or break your grade and 5 lab tests. she is very nice and caring! shes a qt
She is a very smart professor, she knows a lot about the material she teaches. She will tend to focus on teaching based on the profession the students are going into ( nursing, dental, bio, etc. ). A lot of reading notes. Willing to help students when they need help.
Well-made study guides that are very conducive to learning and studying. Does a great job of making the material easier to understand and relatable. The BOOK is NOT A NECESSITY, but is helpful.
Once again, she provides essential study guides (not quite as well-made as BIO 030, but great regardless). BOOK is not required, but is helpful.
Dr. Moore isn't a good professor. she rushes threw a chapter every lecture. some many people I meant took her class once and they are taking it again. get ready for at least 2 quizzes a week. she is a nice person but a horrible instructor. if you actually want to learn I advise you not to take her she goes to quick and doesn't really explain right.
Dr. Moore is a really nice person overall but not a good professor. She rushes through everything and dosent explain anything properly. She expects you to know things about biology. I swear I was so confused it was so hard I was frustrated. I received an 89.7 and she wouldn't round it for me I tried my hardest and did all the extra credit, unfair.
Dr. Moore is an amazing teacher! Yes, "sometimes" she may go through the lectures a little faster than usual, but she gives you"well-written" lecture handouts & powerpoint slides;accessible to you online to print. If you want an A, you will need to take the time to study. I looked up videos on Youtube to help with the lectures and lab.
She cares about her students and takes the time to explain what she lectures on. With lecture handouts already made for you, just study them. Audio recorders are great to have. She doesn't trick you on quizzes/exams. Study your lecture/lab handouts. She creates powerpoint slides & other helpful notes, which are accessible to you online.
Dr. Moore is such an Amazing professor! She wants her students to succeed and will give you all the tools needed to pass her class. Just put your part as a student and study the material she provides you and you will pass without a doubt.
Dr. Moore is amazing!! This class in general is NO JOKE,... If ure looking to get into the health field u have to take this class dead serious and PUT IN THE TIME AND EFFORT. You will NOT PASS this class with your desired grade without those essential and I HIGHLY recommend recording lectures for your benefit. Got an A in both anatomyg and physio.
Took Moore in fall/2017. Some students complained she didn't explain herself well, however, these student's wouldn't ask questions, ask for clarification or approach the prof. Also, MEDIOCRE work WILL NOT PAY OFF here. Take this class alone if you must but DON'T EXPECT TO GET THAT A BY SITTING & STARING @ HER THE WHOLE LECT. Take notes & record.
Best teacher Ive had. The course is hard but she cares about her students and is very understandable about everything. She makes the material clear and is very helpful and accessible to help everyone! I love her and I would definitely recommend her for as many science classes as possible!
Honestly this is the best teacher I've had since coming back to college. She is great at explaining everything, and gives you tons of opportunity for extra credit! If you are willing to show up to class and study this should be an easy class for you.
Dr. Moore is a wonderful teacher. Yes, this class is not easy and lots of material at once but if you study you will pass easy. She is worth the drive if you dont live in Hanford. She is always willing to take your questions and help you during her lunch. She doesnt give study guides but she gives you all the information you need for the test.
I LOVE DR. MOORE. I took her for both anatomy (bio 30) and physiology (bio 31). She gives you all the tools to succeed and she cares. However the classes are not easy. I enjoyed my time in her classes and had to put in about 15 hours or more a week to keep up. The subjects are not easy but the grade is rewarding in the end when you work hard!
Dr. Moore the best teacher Ive ever had. She makes hard material easy to understand. She is very approachable. She really wants her students to succeed. She is a amazing person who is very into charities and gives extra credit for contributing. I cant recommend her enough.
Dr Moore is hands down the best professor I have ever had. She gives you a good idea what to expect from day one. Her outline is clear to understand and is very helpful. She wants you to pass and to understand the material. The tests are in depth but there will be nothing that you didnt go over in class. Thank you Dr Moore for a wonderful semester.
Best teacher I've ever had, in general, but especially at College of the Sequoias!
Amazing Professor! I enjoyed attending class because of her amazing and well detailed lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory but I would recommend to attend every class or else you get left behind. If you really try and give in all your effort you can get an A!! Best BIO professor I've ever had!! 100% recommend
Dr. Moore is fantastic & knows what she's doing. It's a LOT of info to cover in 18 weeks. She wants everyone to succeed so she'll answer questions, has tutors & SI to help. Just ask if not sure! As far as complaints, it's their studying habits. Grades are clear cut & lots of chances for extra credit. You just have to put in the effort and study.
She is a great professor that really wants her students to pass, and get a good grade. There are so many other resources like SI outside of class that you can use. This class is pretty difficult, but you can get a good grade if you study study study!! She is very approachable and is willing to help always. You need to work hard in this class.
Dr. Moore is an amazing teacher, her lectures are very good, she gives a lot of information that will be applied to test and lecture exams. I would say it is super important to attend class because those are key when it comes to test. Her labs are so fun and interesting as well! She does not throw any surprise questions in test.
Dr. Moore is amazing!! I had her for Anatomy (B+) and Physio(A-)... Lectures are long, but good information. She loves to interact with students, and I think I enjoyed her so much because she loves teaching, which made her class enjoyable.
I cannot put into words how great of a professor she is. Her lectures are not boring, not hard to understand, and easy to follow. She has the notes (so you don't need to) has the lecture notes so just print them and follow along. I would greatly recommend her to those who want a caring and attentive professor who loves their job.
Dr. Moore is great at explaining the material and has many options for those who struggle to learn certain aspects. If you are looking for a fun, engaging, and informative class, hers is the one!
Dr. M cares so much about her students; she goes above and beyond to help those that seek help. She will go as far as breaking down content for you until you understand it. She is always accessible outside of class and responds very quickly. If you study for this class, you will pass. Provides opportunities for extra credit on exams.
Dr. Moore was probably the best professor I had at COS. Her lectures are very easy to understand and if you are having trouble with anything she is always available and willing to help. Physio is a hard subject and you are required to study a lot. Just study and Be present during all lectures and you will do just fine.
I took Dr. Moore for both anatomy and physio and she was by far the best teacher I ever had. She was easy going and fun to talk to. She provides notes that you can follow along and a lot of the information on the notes are on the quizzes and exam. STUDY STUDY STUDY because it plays a big part in how you do on exams and quizzes.
Dr. Moore is always willing to help and she really cares about her students she provides all the material you need to study and goes over expectations for test.
Dr. Moore is an AMAZING professor. She provides you with all of her lecture notes all you have to do is print them out. She utilizes the student success center by putting microscopes, bones, muscles etc. in there so that you can practice on your own. She responds very fast on canvas. As long as you study hard and care for your grade youll do amazin
my favorite professor by far, she was really helpful and great at teaching! definitely take her class
Dr. Moore is by far the best teacher I have had. She is super helpful and made anatomy very easy to understand. She gives you everything you need to succeed in the class. She also cares very much about you succeeding in the class and gives extra credit for some things. Would highly recommend taking her for anatomy.
I recommend Dr. Moore, she is a caring professor and you can't go wrong with taking her class at all. If you want to get an A+, it's just like any other anatomy class, you really have to take your time to memorize, there's no getting away with that. I advise creating your own flashcards. She also provides a fair amount of extra credit in her exams.
Smart, passionate, and has great teaching skills. Dr. Moore wants you to succeed and is very helpful. -Study guides are a must, she will also let you know what you need to focus on before lecture and lab exams. -PUT IN THE TIME AND WORK type of subject. Color code your notes. Ex: RED = TEST. -Go to SI, Tutor, make a study group / partner.
Dr. Moore is an amazing professor! You can tell she loves her career. She explains things in many different ways, which is great for people with different learning styles. Plus, if you are an AAC student, she is very accommodating!! Attendance isn't necessarily mandatory, but very important. Be prepared to study A LOT.
Dr. Moore is an amazing anatomy professor. While her classes are challenging, she provides all the resources you need to succeed. Try using Unstuck study alongside the textbook and her helpful lectures to ace this course.
Hands down my favorite professor @ COS. I loved her class and enjoyed learning. Her lectures and labs are great and you are provided with everything you need to succeed in this class! I would recommend 10x over.
Dr. Moore is an amazing professor. She provides you with study guides and online sources from tutors to help you prepare for each test. If for any reason you can make it to class to take a test or need to take it early she is very accommodating.
Dr.Moore is amazing at what she does. She is always willing to help and explain things for better understanding. We are provided study guides for test and she reviews what will be on exams. This made studying and being successful easier. I enjoyed having her for anatomy, I am also taking physiology with her. Overall great instructor.
100% recommend Dr. Moore for Physio and Anatomy. Physio is very rigorous, it requires a lot of critical thinking compared to Anatomy it was more memorization. Find a good studying/note taking method. All lecture notes are provided. She gives enough extra credit to bump your grade up!
I enjoyed taking Anatomy with Dr. Moore. She cares about her students success. I recommend lots of studying, take good notes, and don't miss a day of class. Lecture notes are provided. She gives plenty of extra credit to bump your grade. I took Anatomy while pregnant, my due date was 2 months after finishing and still passed with an A+
This class was not easy but it's doable as long as you STUDY and go to class to take notes while she's lecturing. No study guides are given so that's why it is important to take notes. Use all resources she offers for extra help! Dr.Moore is an amazing professor, you can tell she's passionate about her job and loves teaching the subjects.
