ok teacher but she's too Rude and alls get smart with students

She really tries hard to help the students and cares. She will work with you if you have a problem. She gets an attitude with those who act like fools. She does require a lot of work, but it is an easy way to get a good grade, if you are just organized.

Goes out of her way to help you if you ask for it. Can treat the class like high school students, but sometimes the class can act like it. Makes a few mistakes when teaching, but you know she is human. Always gets back to me when I e-mail or call her. Does require a lot of work. The portfolio and problems are an easy way to get a better grade.

She's alright. She kind of has an attitude and is often rude when it is uncalled for. She does try to help, just try to figure out what kind of mood she is in before you ask her for it, or you might get your head bitten off.

She is the kind of professor that treats her students like adults but if you act like a kid she will treat u like a kid. Don't take her if your not serious about your education!!! She also very helpful and gives lots of extra points!!!!!!

Schaefer really cares about her students. If you are there to learn she will make sure you get what she is teaching. She is great and I WISH THAT THERE WERE MORE LIKE HER!!!!

I've never been a big fan of math for simple fact that it fustrated me. This professor is great. Her notes are clear and she has an awesome approach to explaining certain methods. If math is not your best or favorite subject, she will defitnately get you through it. Shes awesome.

She's wonderful. This was my first math in college after 7 years and she made it very easy. A lot of homework but gives great notes explains everything crystal clear. Gives you a chance for extra credit. Excellent reviews for Final. She's very helpful and cares for her student. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

She was an awsome teacher. She wrote every thing on the board and stayed after class to help anyone who had questions. She also would come 2 times a week for office hours if you needed help. She required you to do homework in each section but collected it at the end of the semester. She also gave you study guides for each test. She was great!!

I liked the way she taught the class. She encouraged questions and always came early to help people. I definetly suggest that if you take this class, take it with her. She teaches it very well.

Very helpful, great explanations…she does every exercise step by step, it is impossible not to understand. I really like her as a math professor.

She is an AMAZING teacher. She explains the everything really well and gives partial credit on test. You will actually learn in her class. She is very helpfull and will stop and go over anything with you. You would have to be crazy not to take her for a math class.

EXCELLENT professor. Very caring and helpful. Gives great notes and explains everything crystal clear. Gives great reviews for tests, midterm and final. A lot of homework but it's due until the end of the semester. Gives partial credit on her tests. Show some effort, do your homework and you'll do well.

I took her for Mac1033 and i had to go back to her for mac2233. she is the only math teacher ive ever had that teaches everything that you can understand. she takes attendance so make sure u go to class. she is very helpful just make sure u wait until she finishes the problem to ask your questions. she can be a little rude but ignore it and u will

She is a great teacher,she gives you study guides that are very helpful!She takes the time to make them so use them.If you need help she is very willing to help you.I never had a teacher that would do that.Do the homework(there is a good amount but it only helps you!)and don't interupt her and you will be good!

Excellent professor. Explains in depth what she is going over. Quick to respond to e-mails and return phone calls. Gets frustrated when students interrupt and don't allow her to finish teaching the concept, but that is understandable. Those that think she is rude, probably don't know manners.Her tests are fair and match the reviews.

Learned a lot and finally understood. Her grading was very fair, and her reviews matched the tests. She was extremely prepared for class. There were no surprises on test days. She was really helpful and patient with me. She did get irritated sometimes, but people are rude, and don't realize there is an entire class, not just them. :-)

Wow, explains how to do the problems. Always answers questions and responds to my e-mails. (Even sends the solution). She does get annoyed when people play on their cell phones, and then ask a questions that she answered previously. DUH! I'd get annoyed too. Her review seems fair. I'll see after my first test. :-)

GREAT TEACHER! She is very prepared, grades on everything, but you'll be glad she did cause it keeps you on track. At the end of the semester she collects all of your assignments so do all of it and neatly! As long as you take notes, do the homework, and do the test reviews, you will fly right through and get an A+... I did!! Thanks Prof. Schaefer!

She is a good teacher, explains things very well, but be careful of too many questions. She gets a annoyed really easliy and rolls her eyes a lot. Do not take her if you are not serious about class. Oh, she never checks hw but it is do at the end of the semester (ALL OF IT)

I noticed she is rude to rude to those that did not pat attention. The problem that I had was that she teaches very fast. As soon as she write a problem on the bored she moves right to the next one and you really don't have time to absorb what she just taught I & others didn't really ask her to clarify bcz she made u feel pretty stupid if asked

I took Professor schaefer from beginning algebra thru college algebra. I used to be horrible in math in high school but I listened to what she said to do, and how to do it and i got A's throughout. You HAVE TO DO ALL THE HOMEWORK. Also her reviews are nearly Identical to the tests!She may be impatient but she does help you if your really in need.

I had professor Schaefer for Beginning, Intermediate. I'm taking her for college. She is more than willing to help me out and answer any of my questions. I've e-mailed her for help and she has responded back very quickly. She is impatient with people who do not come to class prepared and play with their cell phones. Who can blame her?

Wow, she did a great job explaining radicals. She really knows her stuff. This is my third time taking this class. No other professor was able to explain this. She is always willing to answer my questions, and is the only professor I know that has done ALL the homework. Looking forward to College Algebra with her in January

She was one of the best professors I've had. She gave us test reviews and she also made notes for us to go by. If you do your homework and pay attention in class you will definitely pass! Many people think she's mean, but she just expects you to be a hard-working student.

Professor Schaefer IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER AT BROWARD COLLEGE!!! I had her for intermediate and college and received B's in both. I took another teacher for college before her, and that teacher was unclear and useless. Having her as a teacher is a privildge, print the notes, do some hw and DO PRE-TEST!!! She gives credit when u show ur work on tes

This lady knows how to teach math, and is not hard. Provides step by step notes, answers questions on how to do the work, and provides test reviews. If you fail any of her classes your not putting in any effort and school is not for you!!! McDonalds is hiring! Drops lowest test grade, provides credit for showing work on tests... SIMPLY FANTASTIC!!!

Tests are easy. The test review is EXACTLY like the test. It's just she outs the notes on the board but doesn't go out of her way 2 actually explain the problem. If you already know math I would take her...if you not you could still pass cuz tests are easy, u just really have 2 study

Great if u dont need to be spoon fed

She is knowledgeable and helpful. I've sent her e-mails asking questions and she sends back a response with a scanned in hand-written solution. Wow!!! She answers my questions with a smile. I have noticed that people that are not prepared for the class seem to get frustrated and say nasty stuff. It is not her fault that they aren't ready. :-P

very helpful teacher!Sends out notes for each section that will be covered and then goes over all of it in class, step by step. Will provide extra help and answer questions. Solves problems for reviews and tests so it can be used for review. If you want a free ride go somewhere else but if you want to learn she is it.

OMG had i payed attention to her previous ratings wouldve definitely missed out on a great professor... NO she wont hold your hand but she will DEFINITELY make sure you learn and pass the class... She will help and answer questions.... Trust me the smart comments are just for jokes...

I dont think I would have passed math if it wasnt for her. I took her for 2 classes and i got a B in both. i agree that she is not very approchable when it comes to asking questions but other than that she is great. as long as you do the test reviews and take good notes in class, you will pass. her test are exactly like her reviews and notes

I took her for MAC1133 & MAC1105. She is a great teacher, but you have to put in the work. Naturally she has a little attitude and can rub people the wrong way, but if you're a good student she is really nice. Other than that, it's math. If you want to do good, take notes, DO THE H.W., and DEFINITELY do the reviews. They're exactly like her tests.

Piss off all the time but, she is intelligent. And if have to ask any questions in class wait until class is over. Study hard to pass the tests; they tend to be really hard.

Very nice and helpful to me. I HATE math but the way she taught it made me understand it so much more. If you want the grade you have to put in the work, plain and simple. I would've got a better grade, but slacked on studying for the final. If you don't want her to be rude then don't ask her about something she just went over. Would recommend her.

She is a good professor, very helpful. You do need to put in the effort though to recieve a good grade, she will not hand it to you. if you pay attention to the notes, do the homework, and do the reviews you should be good. I would recommend her, infact im taking her agian next semester for the next level of math.

She is very intelligent, but breaks everything down step by step. I have called her for help and she has always returned my calls within a day. People say she is rude...well, when she explains something step-by-step, and people don't listen and ask the same question, of course she will be rude. Duh. Can't wait to take her for 1105

Great professor! Extremely well-prepared. Gives great notes and test reviews that are JUST like the test. She will not put up with excuses. If you are not willing to put in effort, don't take the class!! This is my 2nd class with her. ALWAYS gets back to me either with email or phone. Wish you were teaching calculus

AMAZING!!! I have a medical condition that keeps me out of class. Schaefer has been working with me to help me out. I've never had any professor go that extra mile. Those of you complaining about her attitude, well, when you come in late, play on your cell phone, not prepared and expect her to wait on you, get real!!!!

The best math teacher;) very smart ... She's knows her stuff!!! I didn't really like math until I got her as my teacher!!! She gives really good notes!!! If you want to learn math she's the right prof!!!

Fantastic professor! A well seasoned, highly educated instructor. Her method of traditional teaching combined with the ability to think outside the box to deliver the material to her students is superb. One can do nothing but highly benefit from taking her class. A true master of her craft. Hats off to a job well done!!

Excellent teacher. She teaches at a fast pace, but if you really pay attention its not hard to learn. She is also very clear but doesn't tolerate any nonsense in her class. I liked her teaching skills and if your willing to stay after class, she's willing to help you if you need extra help

I have always been horrible in algebra and even failed twice but because of her class, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I love doing homework. She teaches each lesson step by step, to the point where you don't have to ask her questions because you understand the first time. So of course she would get a bit annoyed if you ask a question about something she just went over because you weren't paying attention. Overall a strict but good teacher. If you take her, PAY ATTENTION!

She explains cleary, gives a lot of examples, sometimes goes a little fast and is a little rude when you ask her questions in class..is much better if you ask her after class. Take good notes, do all the hw and the reviews. Test are similar to review plus you get points for hw and reviews.

Great professor. One of the few math teachers/professors that I really understood when they did examples on the board and was extremely helpful. She's not rude as people say she is she's more willing to help those who are actually studying and trying to do the HW and assignments than those who are plain lazy. I'd recommend her to anybody else.

She is very helpful and gives out a lot of study material. She will help you as much as you need as long as you are doing your homework. This class is not for the lazy people and don't be late. So if you are really wanting to learn she is the best choice.

Math is not my subject I failed this course twice before and took Prof. Schaefer's course and passed with an A.Professor.Schaefer collects a notebook/homework, gives an actual test review for each exam,gives notes and explains literally every single step-not many professors do that. This Prof is not rude,she treats you like a college student.

She was amazing....I wish I had tried harder. She was very fair and gave every opportunity to succeed. I like that she didn't put up with the obnoxious dual enrolled students who loved to be late and play on their phones. Her reviews were exactly like the test and she always answered questions. AWESOME TEACHER! She treat all her student equal. She gives you homework regularly, so you can practice on the problem. This will only benefit you! She also gives review for the test that exactly like the test, so their is no surprises. She is willing to answer any question after the class. She will break down problem as much as possible!

The best teacher i have ever had for math. I suck in math and when she broke everything down step by step it helped me out so much!!! She gives u a review before each test and they are problems exactly like on the test but with different numbers. Favorite all time professor!!!

She is fair but sometimes has an attitude. There are reviews for every test online. 3 tests, take home exam (EASY), and final. If you know the information, you can leave after you sign in. You do not need the book AT ALL.

Very tough attitude but gotta give it to her, she knows how to teach. (Breaks down EVERYTHING)just make sure not to take things personally, she just has a tough attitude. but she will be cool with you when sh sees your trying and want to learn.I would definately recomend her

Can be nice when she feels like it to whomever she chooses to be nice to. She does'nt know who to distinguish between her high school students and adult college student, can be abrasive, unprofessional and disrespectful at times. i guess principle can sometimes be sacrificed for performance; she knows Mathematics just dont ask her any questions.

I took this class in the summer and it went by fast and a lot of info in such little time! i suck at math but the way she puts down the steps helps so much i ended up with an A for the class! she is a bit rude doesnt like repeating herself so pay attention!

Professor Schaefer is tough, but fair. Don't hesitate to ask her for help. She is there to help you succeed. The class is easy as long as you stay focused in class and ask her questions. She also gives out notes telling you exactly what is on the tests. I got a B in her class.

Turn off your phone and be quiet and you will be fine. She e-mails all the notes and test reviews, so you don't have to take notes. She gives partial credit if you show your work on tests. She also replaces your lowest test grade with the average of highest and lowest. She also showed us a new way to factor trinomials that helped me get an A.

Great teacher, teaches in a concise, spot on style. Can be fast paced at times but has happily answered every question after or during class. Does seem to have a bit of a problem treating adults like an adult vice her highschoolers but that doesnt bother me, great great teacher. She really seems passionate about math which drives her & truly shows.

Great Math Prof. that explains lessons properly. I am terrible at math and learned a lot in this class. I recommend this professor to anyone who is struggling in math, she will answer all your questions. This professor wants you to learn and succeed, unlike other professors.

If your not good at math and show that you want to learn then she will help you. you have to do aleks and dont cheat
