Worst professor that I had ever seen, don't take her!
Very tough grader!
Worst professor I've never had. Please AVOID her if you want a B+ or higher. You have a better option
Nice person, very inspirational and made lectures fun. Not an easy A but fair grader. Believe me, she is as good as it gets.
Professor Schultz is one of the best professors I've had. She grades fairly and as long as you show that you tried your best she will give you a good grade. I came into this class thinking I would fail because of my shyness, but thanks to her I was able to overcome one of my biggest fears: public speaking. She is a great motivator, an inspiration.
I would definitely take her again. She guided us and even shared some relevant personal experiences to help us. She makes herself available even outside of school; just contact her and she'll be more than happy to help. She's very kind and always wants the best for her students.
Professor Schultz is one of the most passionate professors I have ever seen. She displays genuine care for her students. She isn't exactly an easy grader, but that's because she has high expectations for everyone and knows that everyone is capable of doing well. She is an expert at networking and will be able to help you on your career goals.
If I had to take this class again I would definitely go with this professor. She's always looking for ways to help us and finds alternatives to help us pass. Her lectures may be boring sometimes, but her energy really makes up for that. I have never seen professor Schultz in a bad mood; she is always smiling and upbeat. Very kind person.
You would want to take Professor Schultz if you really want to improve yourself as a person. She is always looking out for us and if you are concerned about something you can always go to her. Despite this the class itself is basically common sense so lecture days can get boring.
Prof. Schultz really cares for her students. She is an amazing and inspiring professor. You should definitely take her. Her grading criteria are very clear. Just do what she asks you to do and you will be totally fine. Oh, and participate in class. You can find the textbook online!!! ;)
She is the kind of professor COM classes need. She is inspiring and really helps you to boost your confidence. This class helped me a lot this semester.
I will miss Professor Schultz. The semester went by too fast, but even though it's over I know I can still go to her for any advice. She really cares about her students and inspires all of us to be the best that we can be. Very kind. I will never forget her.
Professor Schultz communicates the information in her lessons very clearly. She encourages her students to participate. the atmosphere in her class is very welcoming. She's very encouraging and the lessons taught are real and relevant! I really enjoy the fact that she goes above and beyond to bring outside professionals to give pointers on success.
Good class taught by a good professor. When I started COM, I was very shy and scared of public speaking but as the class progressed, I got much better at it and that was the best takeaway from this class. Prof. Schultz really cares about her students and always refers to us as family. Not very difficult to get an A but it takes some work.
Prof. Schultz has to be among the best professors at Baruch. You can tell that she is passionate about teaching by the way she conducts her lessons. She always tries to make the environment comfortable and fun by being open, compassionate and understanding. On speech days, she brings calming essential oils and does positive affirmations! Loved it
Professor Schultz really cared about her students and their professional development. Her course was interesting and fun, she provided lots of encouragement and external resources. There were lots of projects and a final but she was available to help along the way. She also provided opportunities for extra credit. There were group projects.
Great professor I really enjoyed this class. She really cares for her student not only academically but professionally.
Professor Schultz works very hard to help and guide her students. She has great energy and really makes the class fun. I usually hate public speaking classes but her class was definitely one of my favorites. I really enjoyed this class!!
Professor Schultz is truly amazing! More than just teaching you the class materials, she is there to inspire you to believe in yourself, be better and never give up. She is fair in her grading and transparent in her expectations. She links the material to real life practices and the industry and brings great speakers to leaen from and network with
If your goal is to learn and improve your communication skills in both writing and spoken words, please get enrolled in professor Schultz class. She will challenge you, encourage you, guide you and inspire you to get what you need. She grade assignments with enough comments to make sure that you improve upon your weaknesses.
Pro. Schultz is a great teacher. For those lazy students looking for an easy A this is not the professor for you. But the others that take leaning seriously, this professor is the one . Her course will 100% improve your writing and oral communication skills . Which are, the two most important areas needed to succeed in or out of school!
She is really the best professor in Baruch. She is really passionate about what she teaches and really cares for her students, I can't stress that enough. She's an amazing individual who is extremely respectful and inspirational and wants her students to succeed in life. The lectures are really something else; she always makes it fun and positive.
Pro. Schultz genuinely cares for her students. She goes above and beyond to make sure you do well inside and outside the classroom. Aside from her lectures, which were very inspiring and honest, she has helped students find internships. Def somebody you want to connect with. If you are a student who participates often you will reap great benefits.
AMAZING professor! She really cares about her students in the classroom and in the professional world. She helps you with internships and has esteemed guest speakers to come in. The textbook's an easy read and the tests are straightforward. She inspired me to be more comfortable public speaking & taking professional risks. Sad when the class ended.
The best professor I've ever had. Professor Schultz truly cares about her students and tries to inspire them every way possible. The class requires a bit of work, but you will surely become a better speaker and writer afterwards.
Public speaking wasnt always my strongest skill. But Professor Schultz really helped me improve. Not only in public speaking, she gives good life advise and pushes you to more. She focuses on other life skills, and she makes you work for your grade. Even though this class is required I would love to take it again with her as a professor.
Took this class in the evening, last fall.. It was absolutely amazing. Prof. Schultz is stern but she's honest, respected, funny and inspirational. It's could be a tough class but easy for those that care about the material and the benefits that come from it. Attend, participate, do your work and you'll see yourself with a solid good grade.
Professor Schultz is truly a gem of a professor. The work given in class is doable as long as you put your time into it. Her grading structure is very clear and she very much so knows what she's doing! She wants you to excel not only inside the classroom but in your life overall. If I had to retake her class I wouldn't give it a second thought.
I have learned a great deal from Professor Schultz and this class. I have enjoyed being a part of the experience she creates for your students. I would take this professor over and over again as she is inspirational, encouraging and truly wants her students to succeed. Baruch is lucky to have her!
This professor was a wonderful and inspirational teacher. She will do her absolute best to help you pass. She will let you know if you are struggling. She has very fun speech projects that you will do. Her assignments are all manageble and will give you plenty of time to complete it. There is no final, just a persuasive speech at the end. 10/10.
Extremely dedicated to her students!
Professor Schultz is the most impactful teacher I've ever had at Baruch. Not only was she well-versed in all the topics we discussed but she cared so much for all of the students. She gave us real life advice to advance our careers and was available outside of class to discuss any issues we had. I highly recommend taking her classes!
Professor Schultz is indeed a gem.i learned so much in her class her class is pretty straightforward and Her grading structure is very concise , she definitely knows her craft She wants you to excel not only in her class but in your pursuit of greatness. I honorably recommend you take her Com 3150 class or public speaking class. she's the best.
Professor Schultz truly cares about the well being of her students in terms of their speech skills but also cares about her students future and their potential career. She sees to that all her students grow as speakers but also goes the extra mile to get her students on the right track for their careers. Take her if you want to learn, not an ez A
Heather is one of the most caring teachers I have ever had. You can tell is very passionate about teaching. Unlike other professors what she teaches actually helps you in the real world. She gives great feedback and even if you are shy speaking in front of people by the end of the class you improve immensely. fair grader, available outside of class.
Very kind, dedicated, and genuine. Honestly, she should be teaching other Baruch professors how to not be garbage. Very clear with grading rubrics and great assignment feedback. Do what she recommends and you WILL improve. Not an easy A class, but put in reasonable effort and you'll get one nonetheless. Recommend one million percent.
Professor Schultz was my favorite professor at baruch. Shes more than a professor, she is a mentor. I have learned so much from her 3150 class. She is very inspiring and motivating her students constantly even outside her classroom curriculum. It is very hard to find a professor who genuinely care for you and want you to do well in life. best prof
Amazing Professor! I took her last Fall and I felt like this was the most valuable class I have ever taken at Baruch. She is incredibly energetic. She wants you to win and succeed not just in her class in the everyday world. I never never met a professor like her and would recommend her to everyone. She is a model professor- they should take notes.
She cares about her students alot and wants all of her students to succeed. Wonderful professor
Professor Schultz is perhaps one of the most influential and motivational professors you will ever meet during your time at Baruch. Be sure to submit your work ON TIME (she is obsessed with punctuality and attention to detail), and carefully consider the feedback she gives you on how to improve. Both things will get you a great grade.
Amazing Professor, pushes you to do your best and prepares you for your future. Practices mock interviews, public speaking, and your elevator pitch.
This is my second time taking Professor Schultz's class and I would take it a third time if I could! Her class has been my favorite at Baruch so far, she's truly taught me loads about public speaking. corporate communication, and life!
There's a reason why I've taken 2 clases with Prof. Schultz, she's truly a gem. She is a fair grader and if you do what you're supposed to do, you will be fine. Aside from her clear and fair grading, she's very inspiring and motivational. She's more than willing to help you with anything personally or professionally and has an extensive network.
Professor Schultz is an amazing professor. You will learn so much from her including public speaking, writing professionally, but most of all how to love yourself. She was inspirational all semester long by sharing her journey. She motivated us every class to want to do better. She brought in guest speakers, gave out essential oils & really cared!
This professor actually cares about your career outside of school. Very inspirational! This is an easy A for the course if you work for it. Textbook is required but wasnt used until the final. This course focuses on your writing and speaking.
She cares about her students and really wants them to succeed. She gives great feedback on papers- none of my other professors have given extensive feedback like she gives. The grading is clear and there is time in class to go over assignments. This class helps a lot with public speaking, make sure you follow her notes. She in big on participation.
The books are available at the library so you don't need to buy them for the class. The writing assignments aren't difficult, and are good examples of writing that you will do in the real world. She does give a lot of edits on your paper but that is good if you wanna make changes and use them as writing samples for jobs. Overall an easy class.
Professor Schultz is an amazing person first of all. She truly cares about her students. It was an honour being in her class; she is extremely knowledgeable about pretty much everything. Communication goes a long way and she will be there for you to lose your fear of public speaking. BEST PROFESSOR AT BARUCH. I would take her again if possible.
Great professor and very inspirational, Professor Schultz really help me with my writing and public speaking.
This is the second class I've taken with Professor Schultz and she's great. She truly cares about her students. We had a total of 4 writing assignments and 3 presentations. While they were somewhat difficult, she is always there to help you. The readings were very relevant to the assignments. She also practices meditation and implements it in class
Overall amazing professor. Cares about your grade and input in-class discussion. Friendly, honest, and clear about what is expected from her students. Always available via email, gives highly detailed feedback on all submitted work. Prof. Schultz made the transition from in-class lectures to distant learning easy and smooth.
She is very open on how she grades us and gives us thorough feedback so we can improve. For the speeches we were assigned, it's mostly based on you and how much you prepared for it but if you ever need help, you can always ask her for advice. I would definitely take Professor Schultz again if I can!
Professor Schultz is one of the best professors at Baruch. She gives extensive feedback on your work than any professor I've taken before which you can edit and use for future job interviews. About this course, you are graded based on 4 writing assignments, 3 oral presentations, final exam, and attendance/participation. I would take her again!
You get out what you put in. I definitely recommend you take her class.
She is one of the best professors at Baruch! She cares everyone in her class and gives tons of feedback which gonna help you to improve. If you want to learn in writing and presentation, her class is the best choice for you. Don't worry if you are non-native speaker, she is there and will help you!
Prof. Schultz was by far the best professor I had while I attended Baruch. She has her student's best interest at heart. Her assignments and readings are spot on to enhance your written and verbal communication skills. Should Prof. Schultz ever decide to teach outside of college for business professionals, I would sign up in a heartbeat.
I loved this class, not because I was trying to major in PR, but because it's been a while since I had a professor who genuinely cared about her students. She is very transparent with her and fair with her grading policy. During Covid learning transition, I was amazed that she tried to actually help students pass during these stressful times.
she's one of the most amazing prof I came across.
Prof. Schultz is the best professor I've had at Baruch. She cares about her students and is very clear in what she expects in assignments. Follow her guidelines and put in the effort, and you will be able to get an A. She also shares inspirational videos and makes sure everyone is motivated before a lecture. 100% recommend taking Prof. Schultz.
Prof Schultz is absolutely the best professor I have ever had! She is extremely motivational and knowledgeable and her assignments are useful for the real world. She is very organized and clear with her expectations. Wish I could take her again!
If you want to actually get better at public speaking, choose Heather Schultz. The feedback and confidence she gives her students are amazing. I came in scared but she really made me feel ready for every speech. Participation is super key in this class so do not be afraid to raise your hand at all! Great COM teacher!
I took this course during the Spring 2020 semester, so the first half was in person and the second was online. There is a handful of course work but it is manageable. Professor Schultz truly wants to see her students succeed inside and outside of the classroom. The professor has been accessible whenever I had any questions and is very accommodating
She is a caring person and wants you to succeed. She is so organized with the syllabus. I wish she could be more understandable in terms of grading. Online classes would never be the same as in-person :(
I loved Prof. Schultz's class. She motivates and genuinely cares about her students. Talking to her feels like talking to a close friend. All the reading materials for the course opens up your mind to new perspectives about life. Her syllabus is well-organized hard to miss an assignment unless... Too bad that a winter session is too short.
she's amazing
She is the best communications professor at Baruch. I recommend taking her because she is caring and understanding. Her work is reasonable and doable, especially for the winter session. Not many professors will teach you how to be a professional business person, but she will teach you about writing memos, resumes, elevator pitches, etc.
She is one of the best professors I've ever had at Baruch! Take her if you can! She actually cares about her students. I can't say enough great things about her. You will have to work for your grade but if you follow all the grading criteria you should be fine. She gives great feedback and is always trying to help and inspire her students.
She's so caring and understanding. Just abide by deadlines and do the work, which includes readings with a discussion post on it every week, unless it's a speech week. There are 3 speeches where you choose your own topic, and one is a group speech. Just plan well and follow the speaking tips from readings and you're good.
Professor Schultz is the best professor, and I mean it! I actually took two of her classes this semester, COM 3150 and COM 4005, because she definitely teaches work that you will use in the future. Out of all of the professors that I have had, she has given the most thorough feedback on my assignments. Highly recommend 10/10, you won't regret it!
She's the sweetest, most caring professor I've ever had. Very open and honest with her students. Has a very clear grading system and course schedule. You have to buy an online textbook and two print ones, but you mainly use the online one. Lots of homework, but it's all super easy. Two writing assignments, one big group project. Please take her!
Even though I liked the class, I thought that the purchase of a $100 book just to take 10 quizzes all semester was really unnecessarily. Also, I didn't like that she would place us in breakout rooms in zoom every single class. I could learn more on my own if I wanted to talk to people and not the professor
Professor Schultz is a great professor, she puts us into breakout rooms but only for a short amount of time which isn't hard or anything. I enjoyed the class. Not a boring class and I learned a lot. Had 2-3 video projects and discussion board posts but that's about it.
Honestly great professor. I took her class first semester of freshman year and I had a lot of fun. She really shows that she cares and if you ever need any help she will be there.
A really great professor selfless with her time and will help you if you need help really understanding or personal issues
Professor Schultz Gittens is a great professor! she can be a tough grader, but she provides excellent feedback for improvement. She is one of the few professors at Baruch that cares about their student's success. The grading criteria are very clear, so there are no surprises about your final grade. If you have the chance, please take her!
One of the best Professors I've ever taken would love to take any courses with this professor in the future. Her experience and lectures are awesome, and she's an even better person.
Words can't describe of how amazing she is. Be ready to read a lot, complete your homework and group work and classwork on time , participate , communication is needed.
Prof. Shultz Gittens is just a fantastic and inspirational professor. She wants you to do well and is very supportive, so if you don't, that's your own fault. There is a fair amount of reading required, but necessary as it will help you in completing your assignments and group project. Be sure to participate, put in the work, and have fun!
Professor Gittens is exceptionally caring and amazing! She truly wants the best for all her students. She is also extremely organized. She gives excellent feedback that helps you improve. She is an open professor which helps make every student comfortable in her class.
Professor Schultz Gittens is an amazing professor. She is well organized when it comes to her lessons and how she presents herself. She is truly passionate with her work and wants the best for her students.
Grades like youre in undergrad and gives feedback like youre a PhD student, really helped me get better with my business writing, clear and communicates constantly. A caring gem
She made the effots to make everything organized and she gave great feedback. This is not an easy A course so you gotta work hard for the A. The course itself is very practical so make sure you make the best of it!
This professor is WONDERFUL. Professor Schultz Gittens cares deeply about her students learning and growth. My work schedule didnt allow me to give this class the attention it deserved, but she cared about my growth, not my ability to conform. Prof worked with me to help me get the value from the class in a way that worked with my bandwidth.
Great Professor. Take her class.
A nice and caring Professor. A good class to take but not when you are taking 4 other classes. This is a work heavy class and is far from an "easy A". It is clear and organized but does take a load of time. Grading is too harsh in my opinion, I wouldn't avoid this class but I would be prepared for the work.
The class is very intense don't get me wrong. But Professor Gittens is of the best quality when in comes to what you would desire in a teacher and mentor. The class I was a part of was usually a public speech every week with some break and time to refine what you will present. I finished the class way more comfortable then when I started. 10/10
I recommend every Baruch student to take one class with Professor Schultz Gittens at least! She cares not only for your academic success but for your overall well-being and growth as an individual. Her grading criteria are clear and concise, she provides excellent feedback, and you'll learn a lot of valuable information in her class. She's amazing!
Professor Gittens is very kind and caring. She is a very wholesome person and genuinely cares about her students. But, I feel like she takes teaching way too seriously. Perhaps, this is her way of showing that she cares. An entry level communications course should not be more strict and have higher expectations than my upper-level courses.
Easily one of the best at Baruch. If you are a quiet/shy student then her style of teaching may intimidate you but I still advise taking Professor Gittens. Extremely passionate and caring, none of her course content is wasted, a majority of it nurtures real-life application of skills. Strongly recommend, would take this course again if I could.
Professor Gittens is very inspirational and well-rounded; she was fair and unequivocal about what needed to be done. She teaches with inspiration and with real experiences, and all she wants you to do is succeed in this world. I thank her for all she has taught me about what businesses look for in a potential candidate.
Professor Heather Schultz-Gittens cares about how her students perform in her class from mental availability to educational obligations. If your aim to succeed inside and outside of the class she is the best option.
I don't know how she has a good rating, she is absolutely horrible. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy. She claims to care about mental health but she ruined mine; I have PTSD. She will try to embarrass you in front of the whole class. Save your mental health and gpa.
Worst professor. Puts up the front of caring a lot for students but puts students on the spot in front of the whole class whenever she gets the chance. Takes forever to grade and expects us to get better with our speeches but does not provide feedback before the next speech. She makes me not want to publically speak ever again.
For the sake of your GPA and mental health don't take this professor. She comes off as caring and helpful but will destroy your GPA.
If you want to become a better speaker and/or writer def take this class with Prof Gittens. The best feedback and most caring prof at Baruch. It isn't an easy A but you can walk away with one and some new skills!
Please please PLEASE do yourself a favor and take Professor Heather if you get the chance. She's inspirational, caring, understanding and her course was eye-opening. She really wants to see us become successful and provides the best development, mentoring and networking in Baruch. Professor Heather really deserves all the love that she got from us.
Professor Gittens is top notch! She is very knowledgeable about what needs to be done to communicate effectively for business. She genuinely cares about students development and growth. The coursework can be practically applied and is relevant. Inspiring instructor that will make you better personally and professionally. Highly Recommeded!
Love her Job and the student just Amazing person. please take her class you will learn so much
May seem intimidating at first, but highly recommend. Helped me grow a lot, and genuinely cares about her students. A lot better at public speaking now because of her. Workload is very heavy the first half of the semester, but calms down at the end. Taking her again for COM3150. Last semester, 3 people got an A-, and everyone else got an A.
She cares about making sure her students are comfortable. She is very strict with deadlines and participation. Read the articles, submit everything on time and ask whatever questions you have, she will answer them.
I can not express enough how incredible Professor Gittens was. Without a doubt, she was the most caring professor I had during my time at Baruch. I genuinely looked forward to attending her classes every day and she was a constant source of motivation and encouragement, making a profound impact on my educational journey here at Baruch.
amazing professor
Is passive aggressive to students and constantly mentions ratings on ratemyprofessors. Asks you to write a good rating so that the "negative and unfair" ones don't lower her rating.
She says feedback is most important to this class and then takes forever to grade your work and provide feedback. Do yourself a favor and choose another professor for this class
I am no way a professional speaker, and given the 7 week course, I felt like I wasn't ready to take this class. With that being said, she expressed the class assignments clear, with outlines/vids as guidances. And she offer easy extra credits that I ABSOLUTELY MISSED out on. She ensure us it is okay to be nervous, as long as you practice. Take Her.
Have to put in effort to get a good grade but she offers lots of resources and support.
Exceptional educator. She truly cares about her students and their educational growth.
Terrible professor. Avoid at all costs!!!
Professor Gittens is hands down one of my FAVORITE professors. She is the most caring professor. She has such a kind heart. Easy to speak to when enduring a problem. Very nice in general. She has allowed me to love SpeechCOM to a point where I wanted to take the class for the semesters coming forward. TAKE HER CLASS!
Professor Gittens is truly a treasure. Not only is she a great professor but also an amazing human being. Even though the class semester was short (6 weeks) she made sure she got to know every student. The coursework is extensive however she does offer plenty of extra credit opportunities and guidance. Just be communicative and do your work!!
No doubts—take her class! I had her for both COM2020 + 3021 (A's in both). She offers tons of extra credit opportunities, like visiting the writing center or reading a poem in class. She truly cares about her students' growth and makes the class enjoyable and rewarding. She gives out Amazon gift cards for the best speeches based on class votes!
Do not take this class with her unless you have time to practice outside of class or are already confident and skilled in public speaking. You will lose points on every single speech for every mistake you make. She does not help you practice speeches in class. Instead, she gives you instructions and throws you directly into the final speech.
Professor Gittens is really someone who cares about her students. She gives great feedback and is a thorough grader. Put in some effort, and you will be fine. Weekly homework, attendance is mandatory, participation is required (peer reviews, presentations etc...). She is here to guide you to be a better version of yourself, take her class!!
I took this in the fall (2024). Good professor. Gives out A LOT of extra credits. 4 speeches, no group speeches (my class was small). Has recorded lectures and readings (I never read and she never asked). Do small speeches/talking exercises in class. Before a speech, we do some relaxing exercises. Need to wear business casual attire when speech.
One of the best professors I had this semester. She is very passionate about public speaking and demonstrates this through exciting lectures and creative speech assignments. She created such a comfortable atmosphere in the class, and even if you're somebody who has fear of public speaking, it will be minimized. Very nice, friendly and respectful.
TAKE HER, YOU WON'T REGRET IT Took the honors class; it was a great fast paced class. Prof was very caring to her students and did meditations and +affirmations before our speeches which relaxed our mind. She also gives a lot of chances for extra credit, so don't slack on that. Come to class on time and do your work and it'll be easy.
She is so professional and really take care of students. Heather is so clear with everything from the beginning and if you are responsable and want to learn she is perfect.
Professor Gittens is very easygoing and, in my opinion, grades very leniently and also provides an abundance of extra credit opportunities. Solid A in her class as long as you do two things: submit assignments ON TIME and make sure you're ON TIME for class. I would definitely take her again, but I didn't realize she also teaches COM 3120!
Professor Gittens is an amazing instructor who genuinely cares about student success. The coursework is relevant and can be applied in real life. Unstuckstudy was a helpful study tool alongside the textbook. Highly recommended!
too much presentations every week, beware i hated this class SO much but its mandatory!
This is one of the only professors I've encountered that shows care for her students. If there are any concerns when it comes to either extensions, feedback, she is always happy to address those things with you. Even if you want to network and need help with career plans, she will go out of her way to help you out. She's an Amazing Professor.
Genuinely one of the best professors I've ever taken at Baruch. Extremely caring towards the growth of her students and genuinely helped so many including myself to feel safe in presenting in front of others. Take her if you can!!!
She is a kind professor, especially when it comes to grading. Her rubrics are very clear, and she offers two extra credit assignments. She also has us do exercises before our speeches, such as meditation, yoga, singing, and the ELMO dance. You will do the ELMO dance eight times—be prepared. Good luck!
Shes the goat, i sucked at speeces, looked at my cards and still somehow got an A. Just do your best, attend clas,s and you'll manage.
Class was fine if you like being hyper-aware of your every movement. Feedback focused mostly on physical delivery (I learned that swaying = failure). Sometimes lectures veered into personal stories, which felt off-topic. I expected to grow as a speaker, but mostly learned how not to blink.
Genuinely one of the best and caring professors I've ever taken at Baruch. It's clear that she genuinely wants her students to succeed and grow throughout class. She's very clear about her expectations, the rules are straightforward and fair. Get to class ON TIME,besides that if you attend, put in effort, and use the experience to grow, you'll pass.
Don't even bother taking her, very unorganized and a slow marker.
Easily one of the best professors at Baruch. Learned skills I use to this day. Class is not super rigorous or at all unreasonable. Professor has a lot of valuable experience as well. Was enjoyable, follow simple instructions and you will do great.
Overall, she's a good professor but takes too long to grade speeches. She gets easily distracted talking about stuff. If you're an extreme introvert, she's not the one to take lol.
She is overall a caring professor, as she does give outside zoom office hours that is recorded. She also offers some extra credit. However, she is a pretty tough grader and takes forever to grade. She isn't really organized so it is harder for us to really understand what she really wants out of us and our assignments even if there is examples
So particular about everything, takes points of for minor things. Very harsh grader, however does give extra credit opportunities. I personally wouldn't take her class again, she is overly critical on non important things.
Ms. Gitten is very professional. She truly cares about her students, and she is flexible, organized, and clear with her program. She explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. She is an excellent professor.
Take this class if you want: - to make at least one friend - a professor with professional experience in the industry - hear from guest speakers - leave with value Don't take the class if you don't like - to attend class - talk to other students Professor Gittens is very professional and is willing to help her students with ANYTHING !
