She uses a website called LaunchPad, exactly like Blackboard except costs $80. Very easy class, only 3 tests. You'll have weekly homework on Launchpad but only take you an hour at the most. 80 bonus points are assigned on LaunchPad, so if you do all of them you'll get to skip a test. Almost impossible not to get an A. You're dumb not to take her.

This is BY FAR the best professor I have ever had at the University of Arkansas! She is such an amazing teacher who wants nothing else but for her students to and SUCCEED in her course. Dr. Sprandel presents the material in a very easy format. She is not attempting to overuse big vocabulary like some instructors. I learned a lot from her and she made Macro easy to understand for me as a non buisness student.

I never rate profs but I always visit RMP before I pick my classes. I had to rate Dr. Sprandel because I liked her that much. Dr. Sprandel is the teacher to take. She makes economics interesting. I didn't like taking a quiz every week, but the quizzes forced me to read.

Her class is the easiest that I have ever taken. Quizlet actually helps take online quiz. Going to class every Friday is totally fine.

TAKE THIS TEACHER. Dr. Sprandel is by far the best teacher I have had at the U of A. She actually makes Macro interesting, and she doesn't like math! Her tests are extremely easy if you go to her test review. And she gives so much extra credit, that if you do it, you won't have to take the final (which is optional). Great class. Great instructor.

She's so so sweet and gives SO many extra credit. I had enough points to get an A in the class that I didn't need to show up for the last 3 weeks and ended the class with over 100% technically (class is point based). This class is so easy and she is overall an amazing person. Plus she gives you free candy and cookies sometimes!!

I never use RMP, first rating ever. Had to post in support of this class. I really like it. If You have one week to complete the assignments and then you start a new class topic. If you wait to the last minute, you'll struggle in this class. Topics are interesting. Take the class if you are able to manage your schedule. Good teacher.

I have taken 3 of Dr. Sprandel's classes and I would take more if I could!! Her classes are very straightforward. You have a week to complete assignments. There is a lot of homework, but weekly class schedule forces me to stay top of work and read. Sometimes a lot of reading but doable. Not blowoff if that is what you want. Take her classes

I really like Dr. Sprandel, and I loved the format of this class. This was my first online class, and I thought it was interesting. The company I'm interning for now was impressed with my WCOB 2063 project when we talked about it during my internship interview. My roommate also took this class and she liked it too.

Love her. I've taken two of her classes and could not get into the one I wanted this semester because it filled so fast. She helped me a lot when I was sick and needed more time to work on homework. Other profs ignored me even with a doctor's note.

TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!!!! No attendance, no tests, a few projects that everyone was given 100% on, and so many extra credit points that you don't have to take the final to get an A. On top of all that, Heather Sprandel is so nice and funny and truly cares about her students.

Great Professor Easy A

I have taken two of Sprandels online classes now and LOVE her. The information she has you learn is useful and (for the most part) interesting. The assignments each week can be a lot at times but possible to do because she does not grade very hard. Ive learned some of my crucial business skills with her online class.

At the beginning of the semester, she let us choose how the class would be set up. We chose case study based - it turned out to be quite a bit of work. The assignments are lengthy and take a lot of time to complete, and there are not a lot of total points. I recommend her, she is very caring - but you must do the work and go to class to pass.

Dr. Sprandel is a great professor and knows her material very well. She makes economics easy for anyone to grasp and makes sure you actually understand the information rather than just receiving a grade. Her lectures are interesting and she has a very effective way of teaching. Take her if you truly want to learn and do not want to hurt your GPA!

She was super helpful throughout the entire semester. Lots of extra credit assignments and they were easy to complete. She walks through the homework in class so no one needs to fail. Exams were straight forward and exactly like the classwork.

Super caring and helpful, provides lots of resources to succeed. Don't bother getting the textbook. Various extra credit opportunities throughout the semester, allows a sheet of paper to be used on the exams with whatever you can fit on it. Easy exams also, and she goes through the homework problems with you in class. She is a saint!

if you've ever taken a stats class before this will be the easiest A. she goes over all the HW in class and her slides are pretty good. personally didn't learn much since I had already taken two stats classes but dr. sprandel is nice and willing to work with you on due dates and missing assignments.

She makes all of her homework relevant to the topic talked about for that week, and let us work with partners a lot which made them super easy. Her test questions come directly from the study guides, and the study guides come directly from the homework. Overall easy class as long as you do the homework.

Professor Sprandel was one of my favorite professors at the university by far. She is caring to students and overall a great teacher. She goes over the material thoroughly and sets you up for success. If you're taking data, you're missing out if you don't take her.

Attendance is not mandatory in this class, because she records all of her lectures - so if you need to miss class, there's no need to worry. She offers a lot of extra credit and goes through the homework with you. Most of the test are online and can be taken at home, plus you get a cheat sheet for every test (including the final).

Loved Professor Sprandel. She made class fun and was really personal with us. Class was really easy, but definitely study hard for the final. I had a 101% going into the final, but failed the final and ended up with a B (final is worth like 35% of your final grade). Other professors make the final so it's a lot harder than the tests she writes.

Heather Sprandel is a good professor. WCOB 1033H is very easy if you've already taken a statistics class. Sprandel's lectures are very straight forward and all homework is done in class. We got a cheat sheet to use on all tests including the final. If you're taking WCOB 1033H, take it with Sprandel.

Prof Sprandel is a caring professor who cares a lot about her students and wants to help you. Homework is done in class, and unlike other data profs, she doesn't use the textbook. The final is difficult since all the data profs write it, so study well and smart for it; she gives you last semester's final exam to prepare.

I literally would die for this woman. She is so caring, funny, and made this difficult class easy. She would do homework in class, offer extra credit every week, and is very flexible on when you turn in homework. She would offer us cheat sheets and help us make them for tests, and allowed us to get points back we lost on tests. TAKE HER!!!!

This is the most understanding and thoughtful Professor I have ever had. We do test correction which helps grade so much. She wants her students to succeed and makes sure we understand the curriculum. 100 percent recommend!!

if you can take heather for data analysis and interpretation, DO IT!! this can be a difficult course when not understanding the concepts, but she helps it make sense. we get CHEAT SHEETS for all exams!! and, if you review what you get wrong on the tests, you can get half the points you missed back. could not recommend her enough!!

Professor Sprandel is AMAZING!! She splits up all of the information in such an understandable way and truly wants all of her students to succeed. I do not like stats but Dr. Sprandel helps me every time I do not understand something. My roommate suggested I take her. She is very helpful and cares if you pass or not. Heather is a great professor who is very caring. It's easy to succeed in her class. However, the final is worth 35% and written by other professors. There wasn't enough material given to us to prepare for this. As a result my grade dropped from an A to a C. Other classmates had the same experience. Don't expect the same grade you got all semester.

I am very happy I had Professor Sprandel. This is my second time taking this class, after struggling a little and taking it with a different teacher. I got an A! I'm beyond thrilled! The final is very hard and you have to study and make a great cheat sheet. Highly recommend this teacher. I'm so glad to be done with data!

The professor is great, but it is very deceitful to allow the entire class to achieve an A average, only to drop a letter grade after the final. There is little guidance provided about the difficulty of the final, which is written by other professors.

For this class it is an easy A. If you go to class and/or watch the lecture recordings she does the homework with you. She prepares you for all the tests, and you get cheat sheets. For the final, she gives you past tests to help study so if you familiarize yourself with the format of those then it is not too hard to get a good grade.

Great professor. She was super helpful in class and made Data easy. While others complained about her ability to prepare her students for the final, I felt the practice finals she gave us from 2021 and 2022 were very relevant to what the final actually was. You will not regret choosing her as your professor.

Professor Sprandel is probably the easiest data teacher. We did all the homework in class and her tests are pretty straightforward. However, the final was extremely hard since it was written by other teachers. I was pretty annoyed because I got high A's on all of Sprandel's tests and the final dropped me to a B.

You have to work hard in this class and really can't skip. Dr. Sprandel is so friendly and helped me all semester to pass with a decent grade.

One of the best professors. We follow along the lecture by filling in our homework, there is lots of practice problems we do to well prepare us for the test. Also on the test you get a cheat sheet front and back, tests are very similar to what we work on in class and as long as you review you'll do good.She is also very flexible and easy to reach!

I love this professor. She is very organized and if you have questions, she will go into detail explaining the answer. Her lectures are not boring. Data itself is not the easiest course but she made it bearable. Would take this professor again.

Mrs. Sprandel is a great professor. You do all your homework in class and its rare you will have to do it outside of class. There is no graded participation but if you want to learn and get the homework done, go to class. She gives back points as often as she can when it comes to homeworks and exams. This is by far my favorite proffesor I have ever had. I do not particularly love computer science/math-ish courses, but she made this class a breeze. She does all the homework with you in class, so I never missed an assignment. She is very funny and good at using real life application to her lectures to keep students interested.

Prof Sprandel is a funny & witty teacher. She knows her stuff. If you are going to take anyone for this class TAKE HER. She lets students use a cheat sheet on the exams and "homework" is basically notes that are mostly taken in class. Very useful for looking back on for studying and making the cheat sheet. She's awesome! We go 'homework' in class and there are a couple of extra credit opportunities. You also get a cheat sheet for the tests, even the final. My only comment is that she is a bit fast paced, so just make sure you're keeping up.

Professor Sprandel is very knowledgeable and caring. I averaged 75s on her exams and was able to keep a 94% because she allows for test corrections. Beware of the final: It is made by other professors teaching other classes and so it is very difficult and mostly unlike what is seen in class. It dropped me from an A all semester to finishing w/a B.

Dr. Sprandel is great for Data Analysis. I really did not enjoy the material of the class but she made it very easy to keep and A because of extra credit and test corrections. Tests can be pretty difficult but you get a cheat sheet for each one so that helps a lot

Very chill professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but you do your homework during class time. Lectures are usually pretty short so you'll get out early a lot. Lots of case studies and group work. Tests are majority multiple choice and easy.

I would definitely take her class again! Very clear and easy professor, there were several case studies/assignments that you had the option to do in a group and they were very simple. If she would have something due over a long weekend or break, she was pretty flexible with the due date. 10/10 would recommend!

Probably the best professor I've had at UARK! She is so kind, and the homework she does with you in class and it's so easy. The tests are just her PowerPoints word for word. Attendance isn't mandatory, but she's so fun to listen to and does random attenance check like maybe 2/3 times the whole semester

So kind and entertaining, there's homework, but she does it every class and gives you the answer, tells you to use AI on most assignments, and is very helpful when asking questions. Her tests are her PowerPoint presentations exactly. The final is optional, and you only take it if you need the grade boost.
