She is kind of unclear, but subject is easy. no attendance policy. tests can be hard, but not too bad. she's very nice.

The class is tough, but she is a great teacher and gives you extra credit points at random if you convince her. She feels like a friend more than a teacher. She will help you no matter what. Definately take her but you will have to work and when i say work I mean study and cram 2 hours before the exam, which I did and made an A

There are no bad things to say about this teacher. Recent garduate from UCLA and really knows her Econ and will go out of her way to answer any question. Honestly my favorite teacher here at CofC. She is silly and likes to tell jokes and have fun in class. Easy B. DONT BUY THE BOOK! Everything is from the notes!!! You will have fun in this class!

good teacher, fun, and helpful. she really wants her notes to be good but sometimes words things almost legally rather than for ease of understanding. 2 exams, final, 3/4 hmwk assignments. dont need the book, all from lecture notes. she really wants you to understand econ.

She's really quirky and sweet. I always looked forward to class with her...she made it fun and interesting. Material is not so fun, though! She was the only reason why I liked the class! I wish she taught 202. She will be very helpful and offer extra points when we needed help. I very much recommend her.

dont buy the book, come to class and be ready to take a lot of notes. You have to understand the material to pass the tests- not just memorize because the test questions are presented in a slightly different way than in the notes sometimes. Very helpful, always willing to set up a time to meet and gives extra credit.

one of the nicest professors at CofC. can some times get confusing in explanations but if you need help she is always available via e-mail or office hours. the information is straightforward but be prepared for a few proofs. other than that, offers bonus points and is an overall good professor. definitely take her!

Well she is aight in my book. Nice lady! but teaching the material is sometimes long and boring( not her fault, we're talking about econ here). Lots of note taking, thats pretty much what you do every class. Not much h/w but it kinda sux when you are about to take a test and you havent had any application of the material. She alwys says nice things

Professor Tierney is the nicest teacher I have ever had. She truly loves her job and tries to keep things light and upbeat while still cramming tough information into your head. Class was interesting and seemed to go by quickly. Study graphs, proofs, and dress up for Halloween! Do the extra practices and you will understand everything a lot better!

Prof. Tierney is awesome! Made the material easy to understand-and if you go to class and copy the notes she gives you and do the practice and homework assignments you will do fine. Tests come straight from these. Final was a bit misleading-wasn't comprehensive as stated and wasn't written the same way as the first two tests which made it harder.

Dont buy the book! she will not use it. Gives you all the material but you have to really understand it and read inbetween the lines.

Could be a tough class if you don't study. She gives you everything you need, but the textbook is helpful when you don't understand something. She's always willing to give you extra help when you are confused. Very nice teacher. You can tell she wants you to learn.

Prof. Tierney is an awesome person. She is funny and very knowledgeable. Will help you any way she can! NO attendance policy and very little outside class work. On tests, she grades pretty easy too! Highly recommend this class!

O what do I say about heather?she makes fun of different people everyclass, but always kidding. She also picked on me for being a legacy cause my roommate is in her other class. But seriously all in all a great professor, but don’t take her for 305 so I don’t have to worry about there being openings for her class so I can get in.

Heather is by far one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. She truly loves her students, and would do anything to help them along towards their future. You should study for her class, but as long as you keep an open dialog with her you will want to do well so you won't let her down. Take her!

She is very helpful and will clear any misunderstanding that you may have. Try not to miss a single class because her midterm and final, which is cumulative, comes straight from her notes. There are review packets on WebCT! There are two midterms (30% each) and one final worth 40%. No homework, quizzes, busy work. She is straightforward! TAKE HER!!

Easy. Come to class, tests are straight from notes. For final, don't pay attention to the previous finals.

Overall i would choose this teacher over anyone... she is really at teaching.. her exams are pretty easy expect for the multiple choice, she gives you examples of her exams to help you study, and she's one smoking lady if you ask me

Standard economics class. Note outlines prepared for you. Laid back atmosphere, do NOT text in class. Time seems to flow, book not used but can be referenced. I would recommend this class because it seems fairly easy with a good understanding of Microeconomics (ECON-200).

By far, Heather proves to be the best and most helpful economics teacher at the College of Charleston. Simply take the few seconds to ask a question, and Heather's answers wipe away any confusion. Her econ and life lessons stay with you no matter what! Pay attention when she says not to let your job define you! She truly is a breath of fresh air!

High energy!! She likes caffeine and sugar!! The class is pretty funny because she always has something silly to say and uses silly examples for her Econ lectures. Go to class, pay attention, take notes, and you're good!

She posts lecture outlines and old exams on WebCT, which makes it very easy to succeed. HIGH ENERGY, great teacher who is committed to the success of her students. No attendance policy, but exams are based on materials from the lecture, so go to class. Don?t bother buying the book, I never opened it.

She's great. She makes the material easy to understand and she gives you practice tests on WebCT before all exams. Definitely worth taking.

This is my second go-round with her. She's a great lady who knows her stuff she just gets a tad bit off topic during lectures... to say the least. She'll do what she can to make class fun, interesting and passable but she's wont completely give it to. Gives a lot of random extra credit (i.e. when no one shows up, holidays, etc). Take her.

Heather is such a winner. Her class is not too bad either, especially if you have had Finance classes before. She really takes good care of her students and gets to know them all. I definately recommend her class even for non-econ majors. She Called It!!

She's really silly and proud of it. Very upbeat and sweet woman. She's an optimist but a realist. I didn't agree with some of her ideas about the bailout which we discussed extensively but the discussions were engaging. Very cool. Very hot. Highly recommended.

Heather's really nice and made an extremely boring class bearable. The material is excruciatingly boring and we spent most of the time reading over notes she posts on WebCT. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS ITS REQUIRED OF YOU (i.e. you're an Econ major). People who took this as a business elective were hating themselves halfway through.

She is amazing! Even if this is not your subject, and it was not mine, she will do every thing in her power to get you at least a B. All you have to do is ask for help and go to class and she'll give you benefit of the doubt and help you until you want to be an econ major! ok that might be stretching it...but you'll understand it at least...

Heather is the BEST! This class is extremely boring but she makes it kind of fun by interacting with the class a lot and making (corny) jokes. I love her!! I took this as an elective and I am so glad I did. Exams are not that hard, much like the prax ones she puts online. So sad I'm graduating or I would def take another class with her! Take her!!!

I hate econ but the class really wasnt too bad...she puts old tests online so i basically studied off of those and got an A. Shes funny and tries to make jokes a lot, but can be hard to follow. compared to what ive heard of other econ professors, take her. only 2 tests plus the final and she gives extra credit quizzes.

She is very energetic and tries to learn everyone's name so she can provide economic examples using people's names. The course work is not easy but she dumbs it down. she has tons of practice tests on oaks so getting an A is easy if you study those

Tries to memorize your name and be suuuupper nice to you.Go to her office hour or seat in the front, you will find that your are not a study machine anymore but a real person in class! Easy to get good grade too!Her lecture is so clear that you don't need to spend a single second at the text book to get an A!!!
