This is hands down the best professor at COC! She wants you to pass and understand accounting! Her lectures are very straight forward and she does plenty of practice problems so the student will fully grasp the concept. She has southern charm and is super funny!! Always available at her office and via email! TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! She is amazing!

Professor Warner is definitely one of the best teachers throughout my college career. She is always able to make the class laugh and is always there to help you understand the material. Furthermore, she actually cares about you passing and learning and provides plenty of extra credit throughout the semester. I definitely recommend her class!

I took her class her first semester at COC so she was very lenient. A LOT OF EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES!! Finished with an A+ because I received 30 extra credit points and she dropped the lowest test. She wasn't the greatest professor but she teaches you what you need. I haven't been to college in about a year, and decided to start with a winter class this year. What a pleasure it was to be in Prof. Warner's class! Expect work, but the work is not hard, and it is interesting. She had our class constantly laughing, but I also learned in every single class. I am taking her again for Business Ethics.

Professor Warner is amazing!!! Her class is great she makes sure all her students understand before she continues with her lecture. Very easy to talk to and you can ask as many questions as you want she won't give you the answer but will help you through it. Accounting is very tough (for most people) but Professor Warner is super nice and will go to the ends of the earth to help you understand difficult concepts. Also, there are lots of extra credit opportunities. Simply completing all assignments on time will ensure you get a good grade.

Lots of extra credit, grade is primarily based off exams and homework. Homework is all online. Replaces lowest exam score with final (or last exam). She's funny af and laid back. Easy A in my opinion.

Warner is a GREAT professor. I was nervous to take this class at first but once I got the feel of things I felt very confident. She lays down everything very clear for you. If the time and effort is put in you will get an A. She also offers extra credit throughout the class. Highly recommend this professor, she's extremely smart, caring and funny!

Prof. Warner is very funny, makes accounting fun. Makes sure everyone gets topic before moving onto next topic. Gives plenty of time to complete assignment, will reopen them if you ask nicely. Provides HW examples on canvas and in class. Participation matters. Understand students busy life and will accommodate if you communicate with her ahead.

She's really funny, not boring at all and will do anything to make sure you pass. Gives an insane amount of extra credit opportunities. As long as you actually attempt and do what you need to do. She dropped our lowest test score and dropped the final.

Professor Warner is honestly one of the best professor I have ever had the chance to meet. She is very caring and her lectures are very easy to understand. I had her earliest class and she was surprisingly able to wake us up with her corny jokes and positive attitude. Attendance is mandatory in order to be able to receive the grade you want!!!!!!!!

If you're at least willing to meet halfway, she is a big help. Ultimately, it is a 5Unit Account. class, hw can be tough, so you'll have to do your part! Shes one of the best professors Ive ever had. There are numerous extra credit opportunities ranging from attending club events to answering questions in class. She gives you some of the test question verbatim on Kahoots. Do the reviews, pay attention, show up for class and youll get an easy A.

No question about it... if you have a chance to take her, DO IT! The level of difficulty wasn't rated due to her teaching but more so due to Accounting being a hard/tedious subject in general. Gives a lot of opportunities for EC, and prepares her class well for tests. Love her personality, super caring/funny, but straight forward when she needs to.

She's nice over Zoom, but this class is really meant to be taught in person. If there were scheduled Zoom times, that would help. Overall, she tried her best to help us with the material and gave so much EC too. All her EC is group work tho, so pick a good team. I got C's in every test but she changed all of them to A's after EC. Do all the EC!

Took her for BUS 160 over the summer. I read some of the bad reviews, so was skeptical. Professor Warner teaches expedited BUS 160 & BUS 100, so if you take her 5-wk course, you will have a lot of work each wk. You can't sign up for a mini course and expect the same pace as a 16 wk course. So, yes we had a lot of work, but she is awesome! Got an A

There is a lot of work that needs to be put into this class. There are six exams, weekly discussions, and Wiley is used for homework and SLO assignments. This is a very course heavy class, but it into difficult. Professor Warner provides you with all the learning material and even chapter reviews that help with exams. Just do the work and study.

You have to put the work in but she offers a ton of extra credit. Its really hard not to get an A if you participate and complete your assignments.

She is the best professor ever, accounting is a lot of theory, but she made way easier, she was really flexible with the grades, but you really have to do your hw. There is tons of extra credit, you can get as many as you can even 25 points towards your exam, just by doing hw and participating. Kahoots and review the same questions on the exam.

Had Professor Warner for Bus 100 and accounting. For a hard subject she is incredibly helpful and makes herself available for help. She doesnt try to trick you and she really does want you to succeed. Her study guides are like her tests but I always write them down which makes me learn it better anyway. Overall fantastic Teacher. Were there times I wasn't sure this class was for me? Yes, but hang in there! She is probably one of the most honest professors at COC, sometimes too honest, but honesty is rare. This class is intimidating at first, the schedule changes, so pay attention. However, she teaches in a creative way & gives opportunities to improve (extra credit!)

This class is manageable if you stay organized, she is a respectable teacher that holds expectations high for her students, although don't expect the same out of her. professor had a ROUGH start with the students, put out a 30 minutes video rant about coddling students. You're a professional, please act accordingly. One thing I can say I am grateful for is her powerpoint slides. They included great notes. There is an exam bonus, but you need to qualify for it. You are allowed notes on test, which was helpful.

She is very engaging via email and through office hours, so dont be afraid to let her know if you are struggling. At first it was a difficult class being that this is the first class I've taken that required the use of Proctorio, but once you get how things are graded it gets easy. MAKE SURE TO ALWAYS DO THE EXAM REVIEWS, FINISH ALL WORK AHEAD OF TIME, AND COMMUNICATE IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES! If you do all that you will get an A.

Bus 100 Intro to business was a good class but there is a lot of work and is exam carried but the teacher was a good teacher.

Please know if you have an on-campus class, attendance is important, as you may not know what opportunities you may have that count towards your grade at the end of the semester. She is helpful, confirms if you need help, and is very funny. It's important to know that the class itself, Accounting, is not the easiest, but also not the hardest.

Great professor! Definetly knows her stuff, and is very funny in class. If you're taking her in person, it's very important to come to class because you can earn extra points for the tests, which you will need. The subject is pretty tough, but if you read the chapter and do the homework, you'll be fine.

Professor Heaven Warner is great at listening to student concerns, and wants everyone to succeed. She is laid back and well respected. She provides many resources in class, outside of class, and extra credit with participation. She gives great feedback and is genuinely caring of her students. Honestly was afraid to take her course but turned out to flow well. Test every two weeks that followed questions exactly off of Kahoots, textbook, and study guides. Found posted lecture slides useless, dissecting textbook was much better. Very clear grading and matches with Canvas grading. Fairly easy to reach as well, responded within a day or two

She is wayyy better than people make her seem. The Kahoot and study guide are questions directly from the open notes exam. I would also say to read the textbook and not just the PP. Also responds to emails within 24 hours, so I would take her again.

I'm currently taking this class and I love it. She is very helpful and wants everyone to succeed. She gives lots of material and resources to make sure the students pass the class. She gives extra points if we get a question right in class and lets us have our review sheet for the test. You are guaranteed to pass if you put in the effort.
