Very good profesor. Everything is clear when he teaches. Likes to help studends a lot and solves a lot of exercices in class. If you study by your class notes you will easily pass the class.
VERY GOOD PROFESSOR!!!! EXPLAINS VERY CLEAR, EASY TESTS (IF U STUDY)....FUNNY GUY... I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR
EXCELLENT professor, and very flexible if you take him for a Lab. Always willing to help you and explain over and over again till you get it. His test are very easy when you consider how difficult a professor can make it, physics is a hard class. If you study his notes and reviews you will earn an A or a B. Definetely recomend him.
Excellent professor. Makes class easy. Willing to help. Awesome. I recommend.
The guy is difficult to understand, unless you're of latin origin, then you should be okay. Accent's very heavy, but he does know the material well, just does a bad job of getting it across clearly. I eventually dropped, and trasfered to another class because his class was not worth the effort.
He loves to teach, easy to understand his lectures, he takes quizzes and exams based on the book quizzes so if you study you are okay, he drops the lowest grade, he is quite flexible and is available during office hours. he is very humane. Does not stress you out for the grade, he wants you to learn
he is a very very knowledgable -basically he knows his Physics very well. In order to pass & not struggle thru the entire semester make sure to learn from the begining, because you will use the same things over & over. His language is the only barier -he teaches in spanish & speaks in bad english. tells u the formulas in spanish I studied alot got

I spent all summer studying in order to pass.. but i also took the lab at kendall and it was harder than pro. peralta. you have to study physics in order to pass so be ready to study..i got a B and A in lab w. Prof. Boyle @ Kendall
Prof. Peralta is an excellent professor. He knows very well the material and can explain it clearly. Of course, you must study because Physics is a difficult class, but I recommend him. He is corteus and very nice. If you ask him about your doubts, he can answer with a good mood. He is always available. Good professor!
He is an alright teacher it is just that the subject is really hard. Study a lot. He is always willing to help, and he drops the lowest grade, also we do not use the textbook. He actually makes us a print out with questions from his website which are way better and easier to understand. He knows the material.
I dont know guy , but I didnt like him that much , he is not clear and he speak to fast. When he is doind an exercise in the board he goes too fast , so you either pay attetion or you copy whatever is on the board without having the time to understand it
he is a nice guy, some accent but not hard to understand at all. 4 exams, drops the lowest grade, final is mandatory worth 40%final grade. his lessons are very helpful, do not recommend to miss class. available in office hours, willing to help. pay attention in class n u wont struggle in his tests. write down everything he writes in board
It is a difficult class but if you study his examples from the board you can pass with a C with no problem.. He teaches well, but the class was to long (3 hours)I recommend him.
very bad gradding 4 exams plus final wich worth 40% of you final grade
The best way to pass this class folks, is copy his in class examples. For those of you that do not do so well on the exam, make sure you copy the review exam(theory questions as well)and study that. You can get an A easily.
Great professor, very helpful and helps you out in office or after class. Anyone complaining about him needs to change his major, he is as good as it gets for this hard subject. He speaks english fine, some accent but very understandable. Plus his a standup person... can't go wrong.
Im gonna be really honest with you, cause I know many of you need to take this class no matter what. This teacher its amazing, his method of teaching its exellent, the book s...cks too hard for a simple explanation, attend to class everyday, and copy his examples, "same thing on the test with different numbers". He drops the lowest grade
worst professor ever, if you want to pass the class do not take it with him, he looks friendly but it's a sword of two blades. His final counts for a 40 % of the grade.. if you fail it you're done..
worst professor ever ...I'll only recommend him to my worst enemy
This is not an easy class but if you take good notes and practice the problems at home you should be fine. His the perfect teacher for this subject because you could tell he loves physics. The first day of class your going to freak out, your going to feel lost like i did. Don't worry just pay attention and write everything down.I got a "B"
He is a really good teacher. He makes the subject really easy. He drops the lowest grade and is VERY helpful. I got a B, could have gotten an A but slacked off at the end. I am definitely taking him for PHY1005 next semester
he is a very tough teacher, but if you are willing to put the effort and time that it takes you should not get less than a B. The course itself is hard, but he gives you notes and tells you what is going to be on the test. If you do take him, TAKE NOTES AND PRACTICE whenever possible. It will help you pass.
This is not the profesor to get an easy A , If you work and study you will get B in his class. He is good , but he has to teach the whole competency and there is no time to do that. If you dont do ggod at the beginning , trust me you wont see the light at the end. My grades were decreasing likr the rest ofthe class in every test
HEED THIS ADVICE He's a nice guy, loves Physics, but can't explain it simply. This teacher moves very fast solving problems, doesn't spend enough time explaining. Going to Office hours is useless. makeups more difficult than the first. Don't arrive more than 10 min late. If you care about your GPA, I wouldn't take this class.
Putting aside that PHY is not an easy subject . This professor will write all formulas everyday for u at the begining of the class so u can remeber them. Of al of the exercises for homework, focus on the one he does in class and you will tell me if u dont get more than a B in his class. Easy ? NO , but is not imposible. I prefer him over Pr mederos
I don't recomend this professor. His so rude and very unconsidered at the time of garding tests, if you miss one step he will take off all points of this excercise. I am telling you guys don't take this professor because he is horrible.
He is a sword of two edges. Be careful. Don't fool yourself.
THIS PROF IS THE BEST IN MDC!!!! HE'S EASY AND CLEAR WITH LECTURES HIS TEST ARE STRAIGHT FROM THE HOMEWORK.IT CANT GET BETTER THAN THAT. I ENDED UP WITH AN A...TAKE HIM!!!
He is strict but fair and helpful. He gives make up or every test, quizes to add points to the final exam, sure he's fast but he is the best there is. Take him and dedicate time to his class. Is physics not Mac1105...remember its suppose to be hard.
There are few professors like this one in the public school system. This guy can teach you the hardest concept and you will not just remember that problem but a general idea to solve any other variations of it. He is really strict with people, but I go to school to learn and a good professor really helps. You get make up for all test but quizzes, i
This professor is very stick. He gives make up test if you did bad, which help. But fina is word 40% of the grade! he goes super FAST!!!
Great professor! He has a bit of an accent but really knows how to teach the material! He gives extra credit quizzes and make ups of the exams. He really helps his students and wants them to pass. Highly recommended!
He actually does teach. He has a set curriculum and follows it through. He shows theory using calculus proofs, and then goes in and solves problems from a packet he has you print out with problems from various books in it. Just pay attention in class, take notes, study the notes (he goes really fast). He puts formulas on the board. Good prof, take.
Highly recommended!!!!!! he really know how to teach.best prof ever
Great Teacher. Explains very thoroughly, derives formulas, and apart from teaching the concepts, he solves many problems and examples in class. Great professor, I didn't even have to read the physics book to solve the very same problems from the book and do well on the test.
DON'T TAKE HIM! He is the worst professor of MDC. He is a frustated professor that transmit that felling to the students. How? He doesn't care if you learn or not and when he is explaining he goes very fast!! He want that people think that he is Einstein but the true is that he makes mistake in the examples and doesn't care about that. Horrible!!!!!
just one word. Horrible!!!!
if you value your gpa dont take him! I took him for the lecture and the lab and his grading methods are questionable to say the least. he will grade the reports based on opinion and will not show you what you "did wrong" so you really dont know how to improve. Im an A student and I struggled with both his classes the whole semester.
i think this professor is amazing in the way he teaches, really until now i am learning a lot with him. he explains good and with samples that actually makes u understand what is physics however his test are little hard ..not that much is just that when you study you dont even know where to start cause he gives you a lot to study but he rocksss!!
he is really good teacher... teaches well physics. your really come to understand every concept ..test little hard you gotta study a LOT ...but if you pay attention to the classes test will be not that bad ..i am taking right now his course until now i think he is the best teacher .and gives a lot of material to study depends on u if u wanna learn.
so i took this professor for phy2048... this professor is really good, he teaches good and knows what he is doing. i think is the only physics teacher that actually teach. well you want an easy A then dont sign for this class but if you want to learn ..this class is for you. really good good good teacher. thanks professor learn a lot with you =)
He is a great professor, took him. He always explains everything in details. He doesn't use the book. You would get an A+ with him ;) .
Professor Peralta is an excellent professor, very helpful and always available to explain no matter how many times do you need, He loves his Job and He explain very well and clear. If you register in his class you'll understand Physic and how important is in our surrounded. I am taking this class right now, is hard but it is worth.
The best professor for physics is peralta he always come prepare for the class and take care of all student who want to pass the class take himm
If u are good at math, you can take his class. this professor is a really good teacher. he teaches fast and move to one sub to another in a sec. he's very helpfull but sometimes embarres u in front of the entire class. don't be late in consecutive classes, he will tell u everyday the same and again in forn of the class. i will cont. explaining
I honestly think this professor is writing his own reviews because I took his course and the whole class was really disappointed about him. He "teaches" a subject and minutes later he is giving an exam about that subject...If you ask him a question he gives u this type look that makes u feel really stupid...Don't take him or ur going to regret it
After seeing this comments I have come to realized that this professor is writing his own reviews.I took his course and the whole class was disappointed and scared about their grades. He would give an exam 5 minutes after explaining a subject. He is also unapproachable because when u ask him something he would look at u as if u were retarded.
This professor is horrible!!!He goes super fast and the tests are hard!! DON'T TAKE HIM!!
Peralta is the best physics professor in MDC, he explains really good and go over and over the material. On all the exams he writes ALL THE EQUATIONS on the board, kind person and always willing to help you no mater what(gives everybody his phone #).He gives extra credit too. If you don't like him go and take CATALA, trust me you will regret it.
ATTENTION !!!! I can't believe there are some people saying Professor Peralta is a bad teacher. They must be really stupid or just not doing anything to do well on the class. He is a really good good teacher.
Helps you if you need help, but everybody was failing the class. test are based off 3 problems which have (a,b,c) part, if you don't know how to solve one problem then your screwed. best of luck
Peralta is an excellent professor, he is a gentleman and is very passionate about physics.I took all physics courses with him and it was a great learning experience.Physics is not easy and does require a lot of studying. He always motivated all of us and his enthusiasm was always high,do not hesitate in taking him.
he is the best physics proffesor at mdc, he is one of the best I have known.
Mr. Peralta is an genuine professor with a lot of experience teaching Physics in different countries and languages. No doubt, if you want to learn essentials about Physics and get a good grade at the same time without cheating, take Mr. Peralta's Physics class !
Horrrible teacher! he gets upset for everyting! knows physcs really well but is useless because he teaches absolutely everything about the world yet his exams are 5 questions!! RIDICULOUS! makes u do online quizzes and physics videos and ives you no credit for them ! PATHETIC!! NEVER HAVE I EVER HAD A CLASS WITH SUCH AN INCONSIDERATE INDIVIDUAL!
Best Physics professor Ive ever had. He gives specific examples of the type of questions he will give in his exams and goes through them in detail during class. He writes down every equation you will need during the exam so you dont have to memorize anything. Very cool and kind guy. Go over the probs in class before the exams and ull be fine.
He is very nice, and extends homework if you miss it. But, you must STUDY everything in the textbook to pass his class. He does not provide practice tests. It is not an easy class but if you study the material from the start you will pass. The first chapter is really easy, but it gets a LOT harder. Do extra credit assignments it will save you!
I complained about this professor constantly. Studying frequently is mandatory if you wish to pass with a good grade (unless you're an einstein). I failed exams and quizzes, but he drops the lowest grades from both and gives you extra credit. I managed to pull an "A" and I know it's because he helped me out. If he sees you try, he will be fair.
This is my first time taking Physics. I was really afraid of the subject before I took this course. Professor Peralta made it so clear and interesting subject that I can definitely say I loved this class! Hands down to one of the best great professors of Physics. I really thank him for all the knowledge I gained in this class
Book is online as pdf. Lots of homework and a few quizzes. There's a final and midterm. He answers his emails with horrible spelling and grammar. His homework does not prepare you for midterm and final so study as much as you can on your own. I thought this was going to be a cool class but it was a bust. But, the teacher is nice and helps out.
I totally dislike his method of teaching. He's speaking extremely fast,so this makes it difficult to understand his English, (he cannot speak English.) I am basically teaching myself, 20m-2 questions quizzes one is a multiple choice and second one is an equation... I'll keep you updated as the rest of the semester continues.
Test are totally different than the material he presents in class, you must master the concept, but most quizzes come straight from the Problems we do in class. Study, study, and maybe you'll pass..
5 tests and quizzes. Drops the lowest of both. Sometimes there is extra credit. In order to pass this class you just have to go over the problems that he went over in class. As long as you know how the answer the examples from the class lectures then you will do good on the tests. No curveballs on tests very straight forward.
Test are super difficult, and totally different from the material he teaches on class. He has a horrible accent it's hard to understand him, I do not understand how can he be a full time Professor at a College. Study, study... And maybe you will pass
Worst teacher ever never clear, all he does is work out problems in class and does not teach half the time the answers are wrong and come the test day you do problems as he explains them and he marks it wrong . Will not help anyone horrible teacher run away run far away !!!!
His class is not difficult if you take a lot of your time to study. You must study like any college student should. He loves what he teaches. Please make sure to stay organized through the semester and study the problems he teaches on the BOARD because the quizzes and exams are extremely similar. Study a lot.
Physics is one of the hardest subjects and we blame the professor for doing poorly. Peralta explains the subject clearly, does a lot of things in class to help you understand better, and is always willing to help! 4 T and 4 Q of which he drops the lowest of each. If you study the stuff in class you will get an A. He's also the sweetest teacher ever
He can go a bit fast at times, and exams consist of 5 questions, 2 theory and 3 problem-solving. If you don't study heavily before each exam (there is no review) you will NOT do well. He does not assign homework, and attendance is HIGHLY recommended! I did not buy the book and got an A, so save your $. He's available for office hours, very helpful.
Mr Peralta is a very good professor. For those who complaint,at college level, student should behave as adult when it comes to study seriously. His grading method is fair. Some complaint about his accent, but it does not mean that what he is not understandable.. What do you go to school for?
I took his class a about two years ago, and to be honest he is one of the best professors I've ever had at MDC. His class is not easy, and I have to say that I also had taken physics in high school. For the exams, if you practice the problems he gives in class many times and understand them you can do well in the test.
I took him for PHY2054 and Lab and it couldn't be better. Physics is hard overall but he makes it easy to understand. The exams are not hard as long as you redo the examples he does in class and the extra ones he assigns. Studying is mandatory if you want to get a good grade. Overall an excellent professor.
I have already taked this professor twice and I do not recommend. Taking an online class is hard since you really don't get to see the professor, but he makes it a bit harder. He does not check his email, or at least does not reply when he does, and when he does his answers are as vague as possible. Advise, take someone else.
He is the most amazing physics professor I have ever had. I have never felt so much clarity in a topic as difficult as physics. I understand everything and he is always willing to help and re-teach no matter how many times he was asked. Excellent extremely recommend, just wish i could take him for PHY2048
This professor barely speaks English. . And surprisingly his tests are very hard . I don't recommend him at all
I really enjoyed this class with Professor Peralta. His lectures are crystal clear. He takes the time to solve every excersise on the board, and explain them several times. He is there for you, and he cares for his students. One of the best professors at MDC.
Very hard professor. Wont recommend him. A lot of students fail with him. He is not fluent in english.
This Professor is amazing he actually will make you love Physics. He is super clear and smart. If you want to pass his class you just need to pay attention and be a good student. His videos are super interesting and amazing. There is not a better professor at Miami Dade College.
Professor Peralta is great but I just wasn't able to get a grasp on this subject in order to pass the course; again great professor but when you do the practice or homework and get the test you would end up with something slightly different that would through you off so STUDY HARD!!!! and go to many of his office hours go so often you get a key
He dose not know English well his exams are very difficult most probably the good reviews are written by the professor himself very card class and very difficult to understand due to the lack of English DONT Take
He has a bad habit of teaching very quickly but he will repeat everything to you 1,000 times! you can miss a class and still know everything. His test are literally the problems he does in class. LITERALLY. super nice super understanding. If you want to get an A in every test/quiz just re do the problems in class.
This professor teach really good. I am taking him again next semester.
The professor uses an obsolete and overpriced textbook for the classes and homework. Since the only source of information is that awful book and the professor is nowhere to be found, understanding the concepts is pretty hard. When I contacted him to see what my mistake was on the quiz he mocked me because my error was stupid.
Best Professor Ever!!!!! Excellent explanations, I have really enjoyed his class.
If you really want to learn Physics, Hector Peralta is the right choice. He gives amazing and spectacular lectures, In fact if you pay attention to him and you review all the problems that he teaches in class you will definitely pass. However, be prepared to face hard tests. In conclusion, he is hard but amazing professor!
very good!
Great guy. Definitely the best choice at InterAmerican Campus. He tends to explain where concepts and formulas come from and that is very positive. However, this often makes him get behind the schedule and this can be a problem in the Lab. If you take him, make sure to print out the practice problems. The lecture and the tests are based on them.
Peralta is a good professor. He lectures what you need to learn and provides enough examples for you to understand the subject. Physics is no joke so get ready to study. He drops the lowest test and quiz grade and offers some extra credit points here and there. It is not an easy A but you will learn.
Don't take him. Worst professor I have ever had. I took him online PHY1025. The calendar is awful, he didn't wrote the calendar on blackboard, and the grades are write down in % and actually they are just numbers, no percentage, and then he transfer the grades to %, in conclusion it 's a mess. He respond Emails in a rude manner. When I was reading
Professor Peralta is definitely the best choice at IAC. There are 4 tests, 4 quizzes and a final. For the tests and quizzes, he drops the lowest grade. The tests are most likely what he teaches in the lecture, so pay attention to every detail and write down all the problems that he does in class. He is super nice and a fair grader.
This proffesor gives a lot of lecture, homeworks and quizzes. He gives extracredits so, take advantage of them. The tests are like 50 questions and if you want to pass them read and take a lot of notes from the book. Don't skip the lectures!!! he does not put the due dates in the calendar. Don take this professor if you want an easy class.
He is a good proffesor overall, he will explain until you understand and likes to teach. The only thing I dont like is that he tells you that is enough to study the problems that he gave on class and homeworks for the tests, but then the ones in the test are way more difficult and totally different. He also likes to ask theorical questions.
Physics is not my favorite, but this professor makes me understand it. He explains it very well. He can see by the expression on our faces if we understand or not. And repeat it again if necessary. He is very professional and caring for students! If you study at home what he explains, you will do good on the exam. No need for a book.
I wish he graded more things. He only grades the quizzes and tests. Gives homework but doesn't give you a grade you for it, nor checks it. He gave extra credit points to students who attended 2 sessions of tutoring 3 hours each and ONLY gave 5 points for it! EXAMS ARE VERY HARD, way more complex than the problems he solves and gives for homework.
Physics is not an easy subject so I understand where a lot of these negative reviews come from, but honestly he explains so clearly! And as far as physics profs go hes the best in mdc. He is such a fair grader, loves to teach, and does everything he can to help you. Great professor!
Physics is a very interesting subject for most. This professor does not make the class interesting in any sort of fashion. He writes the chapters on the board with very little explanation of the MULTIPLE examples he gives. Youre better off learning what the book tells you, that videos tell you, and maybe even Chegg. I do not recommend taking him.
This guy is noooo buenooo. Super tough grader on tests. he absolutely loves to take points off of anything he notices thats wrong. He shows no sympathy. Couple of online quizzes, pretty easy. wink wink. No extra credit. Loves to write on the board a lot but doesnt explain a lot. dont ask questions because he will tell you to go to his office.
I love this professor. Although physics is not easy, he explains so clearly and makes it so much better. He drops one test and one quiz and you have 5 points of extra credit. All you have to do its to make sure to redo all the problems he teaches with and the hw he sends whichis only for your own practice, so you dont have to do it, but it helps.
Horrible. Teaches just one example of each topic, later to have different problem methods in the very difficult and unfair graded tests.
You have to study a lot on your own if you want to pass this class. The homework and quizzes do not prepare you for the midterm and final. The book is horrible, but it's required. Take advantage of the extra credits he gives. It will help in the end. Very difficult class, but it's manageable if you study the whole book.
Prof Peralta is really good but his tests and quizzes are so hard you will barely pass the class. You have to study a loooot if you want at least a pasing grade. He doesn't review before the test and says he doesn't have time when you ask him a question before test. He only grades quizzes and tests, no extra credit and the class is hard, is physics
The calendar is awful, Im taking him now for summer term and the due dates are from last semester and its super confusing because you don't know when things are really do. He responds Emails in a rude manner. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR .
worst professor i have ever taken. we have a group chat for this class and we are all lost. nothing makes sense and he is super rude when you email him to ask him anything and sometimes he wont even answer. midterm and final were hard because nothing on it was on our practice test and he does not give reviews for midterm or finals
Don take this professor if you want an easy class.
I have to give him 1 star because its mandatory but i would give him 0 stars , this guy is so rude when it comes to explains things to a student . i highly do not recommend anyone taking this professor .
I do not recommend this professor. The online material he uses is outdated and not organized good. We only focused on one aspect of physics as opposed to learning the basics of many different parts of physics. Lots mechanics and Newtons laws of motion, while nothing on mechanical waves, thermodynamics or anything else for that matter.
What a waste of time this class! This prof. is like a robot. He comes to class and starts talking and talking, repeating everything over and over. At the end of the class you didn't understand or learn anything. Don't ask him anything because he won't answer your question, he would just answer whatever he has memorized for the class. Don't take him
This professor goes a thousand per hour in class. Lots of content and testing for the amount of time. Concepts are hard to understand with him, YouTube is the ultimate professor.
Not only would you jot understand him, he would word incorrectly test questions and get you on a technicality. worst proffesor Ive take so far do not recommend
Peralta is a good professor but be ready to study by your own and make time for this subject because no matter who is the proffesor Physics is hard . I got in the first test a 50 and in the final a 100 and I finish with an A by doing all the extra credit homework studying and going to tutors.
Easy to get an A, you just have to attend to class. He explains thoroughly every subject, and the tests are just what he explained in class, same examples. Best physics professor in MDC.
You will be confused, this guy teaches a lot of classes I took it virtual, he wont have time to answer emails, help students, or even input grades. The grading page is messy and often shows you a wrong average, do your own thing, do not follow what is shown on the Grade page he sucks at inputting them. Lack of interest for the students, tough grader
This teacher does not teach. His online class was literally youtube videos, read the book and figure it out!! He takes forever to reply to emails and doesnt bother to help students at all!!
Do not recommend at all. Did not help transition well during corona virus, didnt really give clear instruction, all emails were generic and not really helpful. Did not consider students much, theres better professors out there
This is my first time grading a professor and I have to say that you wouldn't want to take this professor if you want either pass the class or learn the subject. He does not help at all. You need to understand the book in order to pass the class, takes a while to respond emails. Good luck if you take physics with Mr Peralta. Terrible experience
I dont know why he has so many bad reviews, this class was an easy A
we didnt have to meet for class, he would only upload the lectures and we watched whenever we wanted. Tests were not proctored but dont expect that to be an easy A. IT WAS NOT. Study the lectures and the exercises he gives. Overall okay professor.
One of the best professors I have had. His exams are rigorous and challenging, but he taught me physics well. I can say that partly thanks to him I am finishing my engineering career at Georgia Tech.
Midterm & final (proctored) take up 35% of the class 30% quizzes, there isn't a lot of room for error. You have to work your butt off to manage an A in this class, and even then I owe it all to the organic chem tutor on YouTube because he is who taught me, not Peralta. This has been the most stressful class I've taken, please consider someone else.
One of the worst professors I've taken my entire time at MDC. Takes forever to respond to emails, he's very unclear of the chapters we need to know for midterm and final, all he does is upload lectures in an untimely manner for us to review for each chapter. This has been the most miserable semester for me, have to work really hard for a good grade
This professor doesn't teach and expects you to learn the material on your own, we pay the school tuition but it should really be going to other resources like youtube because these professors don't do anything except assign work they don't even teach. Midterm and final are proctored, both 50 questions and 35% of your grade. No hw, only quizzes.
Horrible professors, there's only quizzes, midterm, and final (midterm and final proctored 50 q each) There's no homework so if you bomb a test you're pretty much screwed. He doesn't teach and does very little to prepare students for his rigorous tests. NEVER again
Took him online during COOF-19. Re-used last semester's recordings (not easy to follow teaching style). Changed testing rules mid-semester (backtracking to no-backtracking) without notification. Lost half my test score due to it, told me no makeups. Ended the semester with a high B, never dropped my lowest score as he said. Ruined my 4.0GPA. AVOID!
I don't know where to start. This professor is difficult to get ahold of and none of his recordings make any sense. However, he does do extensions in case you've missed any quizzes. This class only has quizzes and exams, nothing else. So, if you get a low score on your tests then good luck.. There is no hw to make up your grade.
Extremely tough grader. He has a heavy accent making at times difficult to understand him. His exams are difficult.
This is one of those professors you don't see often, he actually cares about your grade. He tries to help students out by giving lots of extra credit assignments. Whenever I had a question or didn't understand something, he reached out very quickly, sometimes even on weekends. He really goes above and beyond to help his students pass. Very kind!
one of those teachers that just doesnt care to help his students. maybe just mad at life
To start physics is not an easy subject but this professor is willing to sit down with you so you could understand the material. Overall, he is a great professor and understanding one too. I recommend to anyone for the regular lecture and lab as well. be ready for a small quiz at the end of each class, but trust me is no longer than 10 questions.
Great professor! Took him online for PHY 1025! Made Physics more understandable and he cares for his students. All you have to do is complete the assignments on time , study and reach out to him with any questions. Best Physics Professor Ever!
He is such a sweetheart! His quizzes are super easy! He lets you use your own notes to do the quizzes and if he would have taught physics 2 i would have taken him. He does have an accent but you'll still be able to understand him. He's very understandable when it comes to doing hw.
If you have difficulty with physics this is the professor to take. He makes sure you learn, doesn't grade homework, test are easy with topics/questions given in lecture, and its a fairly easy class. You will pass.
Professor Peralta was great. He really took his time to explain/demonstrate the physics concepts we were learning in class and was always willing to go back and explain again if need be. Exams were very straightforward and had no trick questions so long as you read carefully. He himself was a lovely person. Would definitely take his class again.
Professor Peralta was so nice and caring! I never understood physics, but he explains the material so well and straight forward. There are a lot of quizzes and tests, as well as two extra credit opportunities which is great for keeping your grades up. Exams have no trick questions, it's the same material from lectures. Attendance is mandatory!
The best professor I've ever had. Super sweet, super caring, really wants you to succeed. Don't be afraid to ask questions, he's a funny guy too. Office hours are super helpful, he gets to campus very early and is always eager to help. Heavy lectures but they're all recorded on OneNote. 4 exams, 4 quizzes, drops the lowest of each and a final.
He is a great professor, he actually cares about his students. Due to some personal things my grade was super low but he cared about every single thing that affected the class
Professor Peralta has been teaching Physics for a very long time. From Cuba to the States, he is very well known for instilling knowledge on his students. In addition, many of my friends in Engineering and Architecture have told me repeatedly that Professor Peralta is the best in Physics. I wanted to see it by myself and it is true, he is great.
PLEASE AVOID TAKING THIS PROFESSOR AT ANY COST. HE WILL RUIN YOUR GPA. HE WAS SCREAMING ALL DAY IN CLASSES AND IF YOU HAD A QUESTION HE WILL GET SUPER MAD AT YOU FOR NO REASON. IF YOU WANT TO LEARN, DON'T TAKE IT. THANKS ME LATER.
HE WAS SCREAMING ALL DAY IN CLASS, AND IF YOU HAD A QUESTION, HE WOULD GET SUPER MAD AT YOU AND REDUCE POINTS IN YOUR FINAL EXAM HIS ENGLISH IS SO BAD THAT I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW HE IS A PROFESSOR. IF YOU WANT TO HEAR HEBREW LENGUAGE ALL DAY SINCE HE IS SUPERRR BADDD AT ENGLISH TAKE HIM, IF NOT AVOIDDD TAKING HIM
Professor Peralta is a knowledgeable and caring instructor. Though the class has a lot of assessments, he explains the material clearly. Using unstuck AI and attending office hours helped me succeed in this course.
I took his lab but I wish I would have taken his lecture too. He is a fair grader and cares about his students doing well and understanding. He has a quiz before every class, a mid-term, and a final but it doesn't affect that much of your grade. Majority of your grade is the lab reports and he provides resubmissions with feedback. Highly recommend.
He rushes through his explanations while it is already difficult to understand him in the first place due to his accent. It seems like he dislikes being asked questions and is usually a bit passive aggressive when confronted with one. He seems knowledgeable enough and the work is not so complicated but he I think he just lacks passion for teaching
He rushes through explanations and never invites questions. In fact, he seems to dislike being asked questions and is usually passive aggressive when a student asks for clarification as if they should've understood the first time. The class is not hard but I think the professor just does not like(or lost his passion for) teaching.
I feel like this professor would be amazing in person due to all the reviews I have read before, but Online has been very hard. The homework given is incredibly boring, unintuitive and not easy to learn from as it's all directly from the book with it's lack of explanation to the answers. The lecture videos are REALLY long and it is hard to watch.
He's a great professor who genuinely cares about his students. It's a zero hw class, but make sure to stay on top of studying for quizzes and exams since they affect your final grade a lot. The exams and quizzes can be challenging, but they're based directly on what he covers in lecture. overall he's a solid professor.
thick accent, i think he tries to to do his best but im not a fan of how he grades, ill would recomend taking other instructor
