If there was ever a professor to take, it's him. Most amazing professor I have yet to have. Never written about a professor, but with him it was a must. He is inspirational and simply the best at teaching. Not a hard class to pass if you go to class or get the notes from someone. No textbook needed.

There's no teacher more committed to his students than Hector Vazquez. I think that taking a class with him, either humanities, music, or whatever, should be mandatory for all mdc students. This man changes lives, hundreds of people's minds, gives thousands hope. I have hope again thank to Dr. Hector. Thank You Thank You Thank You Mr. Awesome!!!

I've only been in class for about 2 months & can I say he is the most amazing professor I'll probably ever have, even being in my first semester of college. I'm not a history person, but he makes everything positive & beautiful and every class im inspired by his lectures of how much potential we(as humans have). Wish I can have him every semester.

I just started and he's amazing. His lectures are based off power points. Slides are like 1 word and there's lots of pics& videos. 1 mini quiz every week but it's not graded & he gives you the answers + reviews.

They are 100 questions under 25 minutes, BUT it's so simple because he reviews things every class that you learn it and it's interesting. Just don't show up late to class, he hates it and it's rude. I would recommend him any day of the week.

really passionate about his subject and his study guides are really helpful but he only gives you 25 minutes to finish a 100 question exam which i found really frustrating. There will be a total of 2 exams during the whole semester and you will not need to buy a book for his class but you will need to take a lot of notes so attendance is crucial.

Only grade in the class is two tests that are 100 questions each. He provides study guides which have very similar questions to the test. Don't fall behind. Review and pay attention in class or you'll end up like me with 200 index cards cramming 3 days before just to get a B!

He is a professor who will actually have you enjoy his class with ease no matter what type of learner you are. He reviews everything every time you meet and never puts anything that was not mentioned. Only two tests and he asks to never miss his class. However, he is very sweet and down to Earth. Wish he taught more types of classes.

He's very passionate. He gives 2 multiple choice tests: midterm & final. If you miss one of them he gives you a cumulative test at the end of the semester to make up for it. I had to take the cumulative test. It was half multiple choice & half fill in the blank. It was super simple. If you go to every class you will pass. He does reviews every day.

This professor is a very passion teacher. He creates an inviting learning experiece. His teaching style is of many, reviews of every chapters are emailed, he reviews several times the completed chapters. Hes funny, entertaining and all around great teacher. Hesets the bar pretty high.

MDC' best professor

I took him in summer A, he is very passionate about his work. I do recommend that you go to class because he makes the information needed for the exam very easy. He repeats every topic a thousands times !so it stays glued in your mind. The exams are appx 100 questions but the material is purely memorization. Do not skip class& write all the notes!

Took this class for Fall 2018, he is super amazing!. He gives no homework, no extra credit, but the only homework he gives is studying everyday with the chapters. Take this class and I guarantee you wont get bored, he is very funny, and has a voice that is very entertaining that would make you go to his class all the time.

This was a great professor. The material was interesting and the class was enjoyable. However, for the final test, we were required to complete 100 in twenty minutes which I was not able to finish. I question the need for such a timed test in a class such as humanities. If allocated the full class time, I would have finished and received an A.

Professor Vazquez is the best professor for this class. Your grade depends on 2 tests, 100 questions each test and have to be solve in 25 min. If you study you will pass. He is always there to help you.

Hector Vazquez is the BEST professor to take for this class, his lectures are very inspiring and you will learn so much. However, the only tricky part is that he only gives two exams which are a mid-term and final, so you will have to study every single day and memorize the information from the lectures. I recommend him 10/10, he is worth it!!!

Hands down one of the BEST if not the best professor at Miami-Dade. Unlike other professors, this professor actually wants you to learn and pass and gives amazing lectures! There are 2 tests but you must pass both of them to pass the class. You must study to pass but its super fun. I highly recommend taking his class!!!!!

He is THE BEST PROFESSOR AT MDC!!! I took him for HUM1020 and was an awesome teacher. He only gives 2 tests and no other assignments. You have to study and take lots of notes because there is no book that can teach how he does. I took him during COVID-19 and he quickly adapted to online learning by narrating his lectures onto PowerPoint.

For my first semester at this campus, my most enjoyable class was Humanities. I had fun, learned so much. He opens your mind and makes you appreciate everything in life. Very funny and respectable. I would definitely take this class with him again.

Professor Vazquez is easily one of the most dedicated and passionate professors I have ever taken. His class is extremely easy as long as you show up to class and take some quick notes. The lectures are entertaining and prove just how good of a professor he is. He is very inspirational and encourages learning.

Professor Vazquez makes the class REALLY entertaining. He is such a cool professor but you still have to study. Take notes and STUDY, there are only 2 exams so if you slack it will be hard to make up.

Dont even hesitate, you have to take him!!!!! Made remote learning so easy and not difficult like every professor has made it. One thing I do recommend is to study and take notes, and it will make the midterm and finals a piece of cake. Not a hard class at all. Gives you good feedback and is very inspirational.

Professor Vazquez is literally the best human being I have ever met. He makes his lectures interesting and challenges you to grow as a person by learning about past human accomplishments. As far as grades go, all I had was a midterm and a finalboth of which he gives study guides that you won't need if you pay attention to his lectures.

Literally the best professor on the planet, I wished he taught more classes other than humanities. Hes extremely nice, all you gotta do is show up take notes on his lectures. Theres two tests and some in class essays that were really as much as you could write and they were more about how you were doing in the class. He really loves what he teaches

I took professor Vazquez my freshman year FALL 2019. i never found him to rate him before, but i still remember him as a outstanding instructor. i looked forward to going into his lecture classes. he was so caring and made the material interesting and easy to learn. he truly was inspiring and caring about what he taught. TAKE HIM!

I took his class in 2019 and I still think about that class once in a while. As long as you show up to class and pay attention you will learn so much and become much more cultured. You won't regret taking his class, only 2 exams and the best lectures.
