Dr. Kim is awesome! Very easy to understand and does an excellent job making sure we've seen questions VERY similar to what will be on the tests. I'm in the "intensive" class that meets everyday and it's really beneficial. Knows her stuff and is willing to review things we really should have already known. Take her!!
Dr Kim is seriously awesome. No she is not perfect at English but she is still very understandable. The first time i took this class with a different instructor i was going to make a D now i am at an A . She goes out of her way to help her students. she makes study guides for every test and if you do them and study them you will do good. Take her!
Dr Kim is awesome! She holds lots of office hours so you can always go see her if you are struggling. I really like the way she taught Calculus. She explains things so that when you get home to do the homework you can actually do it. You should take her! Also make sure you show up to class because she is strict on that.
Amazing math teacher. Beautiful handwriting and illustrations. Explains things very well. Textbook was never used. There are about 10 tests, but each one has bonus extra credit problems from the last test. Her test problems are very similar to the problems done in class and on the homework. She has plenty of office hours too.
Dr. Kim rocks! Take Calc 2 with her. The best parts: (1) She's a Professor with a Doctorate NOT a grad student; she knows how to teach, (2) handwriting and organization of material is impeccable. Seriously game changer. (3) Gives 10 tests with 1 drop; this is good (4) detailed notes are just like whats on the test (5) wants to help you succeed.
Dr. Kim is the best professor for pre-calc. She always prints out her pwrpts and wksts. When you do practice problems, her handwriting is clear and she is great at answering questions. Before tests she hands out a review that has questions from past quizzes, therefore similar problems show up on the test. Also, she holds exam reviews before test.
Heejung Kim is a really organized and concise teacher who honestly makes the course challenging but also worthwhile. Her office is ALWAYS open for students needing help and she really wants to help students out. The tests are tough at first but you get better overtime. She is a really nice teacher and you should definitely take her for calc 2.
She has amazing office hours and usually makes homework due on these days so that you can ask for help before the assignment is due. She was extremely helpful and ALWAYS answered my questions. She made Pre-Calculus easier to take. Unlike other professors, she made study guides for each test including the final. Make sure that you don't skip class!
Ms. Kim is super helpful. Calculus 2 is definitely a hard class, but she makes it so approachable. She gives weekly homework that is doable. Her lectures are very helpful and she walks through multiple practice problems with the class. I like her as a teacher. Attend her office hours if you ever have a question, she is super helpful. Enjoy!
Dr. Kim's class was not difficult. She printed out a notes sheet, a homework sheet, and the homeworks solutions and gave them to us. Gave quizzes every week, but she always just chose 2-3 problems off the homework. The tests weren't too hard, but it did require a little bit of effort. She's such a sweet person and really cared about us.
Dr. Kim is absolutely amazing. She prints off all the notes and gives so many practice problems and resources in preparation for the test. There are 7 tests and she drops one. Each test has extra credit problems that are exact problems from the previous test so there's no way you won't have a good test average. Her explanations are utterly flawless
She was a fabulous woman. She had an immense amount of office hours. He exams were similar to the one or two quizzes we take every week. The quiz questions are the same as a few of the homework questions. She gives powerpoint & ample examples to ace her class. Takes attendance every class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for a good grade!
Hee Jung Kim is a great teacher. Her lectures are extremely clear, the homework is useful, and she is willing to help either through email or office hours. She also prints out all of the notes. She also prints out all of the practice test, practice test solution, and actual test solutions. Her tests can be very difficult but there are bonus points.
Dr. Kim was an extremely helpful teacher. However, are tests were difficult and she grades very hard. She has office hours almost every single day so take advantage of them. There is homework almost every single day, but it's the best way to get good at calc. Her class is tough but she will do her best to help you understand calc!
I could never understand her. And she never made sure her students knew the material she went at her pace and not the students.
Dr. Kim is a wonderful math instructor. She creates her own notes/study guides for her classes which are extremely helpful. The class can be tough, but she makes it very clear to understand the subject matter and gives you all the materials necessary to ace the class. Overall would 10/10 recommend.
Dr. Kim is awesome. She's a nice person and clearly wants her students to succeed. Very organized - she creates useful study guides and review problems for tests and grades everything quickly. Heavy workload, but that's true of any Precal course at UGA. She takes attendance every class, but lectures are extremely helpful. Highly recommended
She is very professional and a really good instructor. I always had a hard time in math, but she is an easy grader as long as you show all your work on written tests. Go to office hours! It will help your grade! She also has an accent, but it didn't bother me or affect my understanding of her.
Dr. Kim is one of the nicest teachers I've had at UGA. She clearly cares about her students and wants to help you understand the material. She has an accent, but its still understandable and often leads to a few laughs during class!
Dr. Kim is a really nice woman who will help you out with anything you need and will go out of her way to give you help and set up an appointment. Her handwriting is very neat which is overlooked for precalc and she is a very good teacher. The class is hard but if you do your hw you will do great and she even gives review sheets for tests!
This lady is very kind hearted. She is a doll to learn from. She knows her PreCalculus cery well, however, she does struggle to understand some deeper questions you may ask. Not a very strong accent, and be ready to do homework online twice a week. I loved her, but she does go a little fast.
Dr. Kim is amazing. You can tell that she really cares about her students and puts in so much effort to make sure that you understand what you are learning. She does have an accent but it isn't that hard to understand. You can definitely get an A out of the class if you attempt the homework before hand and attend office hours. Don't wait last min!
Professor Kim is the best of the best. Fight for a spot in her class and sign up for her intensive class if you have to. She truly cares about your success & thoroughly explains EVERYTHING you need to know for tests and the final so take really good notes! Her study guides and worksheets are all you need to succeed in the class. She is amazing!!
Professor Kim is a good teacher who really cares about her students. I took intensive and the work load was horrible but the amount of practice helps you get the concepts down to a T. Her tests are super hard but it really prepared me for the department final and I'm confident going into calc 1. Great teacher. Hard class either way.
Best teacher I've ever had in all my years of school.
Dr Kim give a lot of homework but not hard. the attendance is required and if you miss too much, you won't pass. the exam is based on what we learnt. If you pay efforts, it is easy to get B+ or A- as I suppose.
Taking Lin Alg with Dr. Kim this summer was great. She made herself available every single day for office hours, was super helpful in class, and assigned us a ton of materials that made you more than prepared for the test. Doing all homeworks, practice, and taking good notes will get you an A in this class. Definitely one of my top 2 favoriteprofs.
Hee-Jung Kim is a great professor who really cares about her students, and above all else wants them to succeed. If you have not taken a calculus class before (like me) the class will be difficult. However, she gives many homework assignments, quizzes, and tests so you have a lot of chances to bring your grade up.
Amazing professor. Hands down the best I have ever hand. I did not have previous calculus experience coming into the class so it was a little difficult at first. But her lectures are amazing. Go to class, do the homework, study for quizzes and test. The final test was a breeze thanks to her
Multivariable calculus is an extremely hard class but Dr. Kim makes it bearable. She does a good job of working through problems in class and her multiple choice tests are some the best designed exams I've ever taken.
She cares about students but towards the end, it felt like we were speeding through material. I went from having a high A in the class to a B- after the final as it was based mostly on newer material. Be careful, having lots of tests doesn't mean that the last one doesn't matter. Attendance mandatory, not too much homework.
Her tests were very fair and not meant to be tricky. I wasn't a fan of her teaching style but I assume that is largely due to the fact that I took this class during the summer so I can't knock her for that. She is willing to help you in office hours and is very accessible. She is not my favorite math professor but she is a solid choice.
MATH2500 is a challenging class, but Dr. Kim is very knowledgeable. She hands out study guides and the tests are very fair even though there is one almost every two weeks. I recommend her especially because of how helpful she is in class.
I took Calc 1 with her without any prior Calc knowledge (other than HS Pre-Calc) and had a great time being her student. She is very lecture heavy but her lectures make sense. If you dont understand something she will be happy to re-explain if you raise your hand in class or come to office hours. Tests will be easy due to weekly quizzes and HW.
Dr. Kim is one of my favorite professors. The material is very difficult but I went to office hours every single day and she was great at explaining the material and making sure I understood it. I took this class as a maymester course over the summer so it was very fast paced but she really cares about her students.
LOVE HER. Seriously, best math teacher I have ever had! Dr. Kim cares so much about her students, and always has office hours that are very helpful. She loves math and wants to make sure her students thoroughly understand it. The class is hard (HW every night), but Dr. Kim makes it so much better plus does Extra Cr. Take her if you have the chance!
great professor, make sure to pay attention in class test and quizzes are similar to in class handouts
Dr. Kim is the best professor I've ever had. She was super helpful in class and did a great job answering questions. She gave a lot of opportunities for extra credit which was super helpful!
Literally one of the best professor's I've ever had! Great explanation, exams are straight forward and she's always there to help with a ton of extra credit... Easy A class!
Dr Kim was one of the best teachers Ive ever had. Shes very sweet and genuinely cares about her students. Take her!
Very kind professor, but too algebra focused compared to other profs. Gives extra credit opportunities on tests. Attendance is part of overall grade. Not as lenient with partial credit compared to other profs. Expect test problems to be much, much harder than in class or Webwork problems; her tests are more difficult than other calc 2 professors.
She is a good teacher but she does not give enough practice problems, then gives too much homework, and her lectures often don't have much to do with the practice problems or homework.
She is very caring and nice. Her lectures are kinda boring but the tests were very easy for me since I was straight outta BC from high school. She gives a lot of extra credit on tests, but there are weekly quizzes which are annoying. The online homework is also kinda annoying. She is a solid choice for 2260.
Dr. Kim is alright, but she sometimes grades a little unfairly when it comes to partial credit. She would take off nearly 75% of a problem's points for a small algebra mistake. This is really a problem when it comes to the unit on series and sequences, where the class average was around a 65%. I recommend asking her about this on the first day.
She was an amazing person to take Calc 2 with as you could tell she really cared about her students and even gave lecture handouts every single class period but I believed at points she was way too harsh of a grader and would count off heavy points for a small syntax error like a missing sigma sign but otherwise besides that I def recommend her.
This has been a terrible experience for me and everyone in our class. Literally 50% of the class made lower than a C on the first test and there's no curve. She "teaches" at lightspeed so you can't keep up and won't answer your question because she's in such a rush. I literally haven't learned anything in this class. Save your time, don't take her.
If attendance wasnt mandatory, going to class would literally be a complete waste of time. If youre into learning conceptual principles without any real guidance on applying it to problems like the ones on the test then go for it and take her. I regret taking this with her heavily and I will most likely have to retake again for my degree. RUN
She provides handouts that are helpful and has a set way of showing how to solve a problem, but will take off MANY points if not done perfectly, even if the final answer is correct. Death by a thousand cuts. Thinks partial credit means to take off points for small details, not giving back points. Kind of condescending when asked questions.
Dr. Kim is the greatest. Her lectures are often fast-paced, but the practice problems on her handouts make the concepts understandable. She gives weekly quizzes that require students to actually learn the content. Dr. Kim is always open to questions and she explains the answers thoroughly, and she is always willing to help students at all times.
I regret taking this class, she teaches this class at lightning speed and spends most of the class time going over concepts. There is homework twice a week and quizzes. The quizzes are difficult to. The only good thing about this class is she replaces lowest test grade with the final. And her practice test are usually similar to the test
I took this professor because her rate my professor score was great. Within the first week of class, I realized how incorrect this site can be. Theres 3 homework sets due and a quiz per week. All of which contain problems unlike the ones that she goes over in class. But if you do end up taking Kim, use the quizzes and the practice test to prepare.
Dr. Kim is a very organized professor. Each day she gives you packets that have the theories and concepts of the material which she covers during her lectures as well as related problems that she works out during class. Quizzes are hard. Tests are manageable as long as you practice the equations given. Doing well is possible as long as you try.
Nice Professor, was definitely available outside of class. Tough but fair grader. Did sometimes have trouble communicating/understanding because of accent. Could work on lectures being more interactive.
There were three tests COUNTING the final. NO rounding, NO extra credit. She had to be coerced by the class to allow our final to replace our lowest test score. Tests and quizzes are way harder than homework, which theres a lot of. Not recommended for first exposure to calculus, especially for an online class.
The entire online class was just going over homework questions and not any true teaching in my opinion. Homework questions were not reflective of test material and when I asked her to go over anything she was reluctant to meet & rude and condescending. I switched into a different calc and have been doing much better and understand the material.
Prof Kim is very clear abt her expectations for class: you must be there everyday and be ready to work. Class is primarily working through the practice problems that are homework, and learning new material is expected to be done before class each day. Lots of homework, lots of quizzes, few tests. Different expectations than AP so be aware.
Professor Kim works extremely hard to help you as long as you care. This was my hardest class of the semester but she gives you all the tools to do well if you work hard. She is really organized and always available for office hours. I also recommend getting tutored through the DAE if you are struggling. A solid choice for calc 2250.
I had her for two semesters for Math 2250 and Math 2260. She is a pretty good teacher, but she is a really harsh grader and wants you to do things a specific way. If you already learned it one way, she is going to want you to show work in the way she teaches it. Homework is decent, on web assign, you have quizzes every Friday.
She is very good at explaining the material, but the nature of the class makes the content difficult to master. She genuinely cares about her students and tries to help them succeed.
Only a month and a half in, but I love her. She teaches very methodically and makes sure you understand both the concept and how to apply it. If you do the same steps as she does for every problem, it is easy to get an A. There are quizzes every week and 1-2 homeworks per week, so you have to work for it.
Haven't finished this class yet, but this is the best professor I've taken a math course with... which says a lot. She teaches every concept step by step and gives worksheets with every problem you will see on homeworks/tests. If you have a question you can go to piazza and ask, she is very active. This class is really hard, but she makes it easy
shes rly nice and understanding (abt personal issues). but, make sure to do every problem HER way or else she'll dock points (which is why i gave her 4/5). shes way too particular about how she wants problems solved. other than that, shes very accessible after class and there's test/quiz correction opportunities (u dont get much points back tho).
Calc 2 is hard in general, but Professor Kim makes it harder as she wants everything to be her way. She does give many opportunities to improve your grade by retaking tests and quizzes, but if it EXACTLY how she does it, you will get points taken off. Definitely a hard grader and you will have HELLA homework to do.
Dr. Kim is awesome. She's so nice and caring, but she is a tough grader. She provides resources to succeed, but the class will not be easy. She wants to see every step done her way, but that's just how it is and doesn't change so it's worth just getting used to it. She really is awesome and even though I sucked at this class, she was great.
Dr. Kim is truly a diamond in the rough amongst the calc professors at UGA. She truly cares for the success of her students. The notes she takes in class are truly beautiful. She's easily accessible outside of class, as she responds very quickly to emails and Piazza posts. Would definitely take her again if I could!
she was one of the nicest professors I have ever had. she really cares and wants to help if you have a question. calc 2 is a hard class in general but she really helps you get through it by allowing you to redo test questions for extra credit. super hard class but doable with this professor
easily the best and sweetest teacher ive had in my life! professor kim has the most cohesive lectures, responds to hw questions and emails quickly, and is always ready to help. she truly gives students her all (@uga math department: celebrate this prof!) this class wont come super easy, so make sure to do the hw and really understand the material
Dr. Kim is AMAZING. She is the best math professor I have ever had. She makes Calc 2 so much easier and she explains the concepts really well. She is fun and super caring. Her corrections saved me a lot and it really shows that she wants her students to do well.
Professor Kim is a great professor but you HAVE to keep up with the work. Class is mandatory and you can only miss 2 before your grade drops. Her class is very organized and structured and shes very great at explaining difficult concepts. She gives weekly homework and weekly quizzes and they are difficult, but she is very willing to help out.
Literally so good. Pretty sure most people in class did well. Super sweet and really wants to see you do well. Hard topic, incredible teacher
Dr. Kim is a very effective and fair teacher. I took Calc in an online setting during my HS senior year, and this class made the concepts that I had trouble with previously very clear. I recommend studying for quizzes and tests by covering up the answer and trying to work the question out on your own.
She cares about students but makes the class difficult for no reason. I did well in her class but thought she wasn't always fair.
do not take this prof. Grading is awful and you will get points off for the stupidest things. She doesnt want you to learn how to solve different problems but more just memorize how she does it. Quizzes every week. You can miss 1 class before grade drops. Good lecturer on some subjects. No curved tests and you can only get 1-3 points back on tests
Miss Kim is a very good teachers for a difficult class. She provides every opportunity for you to pass and whether or not you take those opportunities entirely depends on you. She gives great notes, is very engaging in office hours, and allows you to fix your mistakes on exams for a few extra credit points. Demanding class, but worth it.
Dr. Hee Jung Kim was one of the best educators I have had, and they were a great introduction or ease into freshman year of college. I have taken AP Calculus BC before, and though I understood the concepts clearly in the high school class and was able to pass, Dr. Kim was able to extend my knowledge of the subject and inspire my passion for math.
I really enjoyed this class. Dr. Kim took the time to fully explain and simplify the concepts. She is very well-organized and the assignments helped me prepare for the quizzes/tests. I felt motivated because she made learning accessible. Not a huge issue, but she sometimes struggles to understand students' questions about the material.
Dr. Kim has been one of the best professors I have had at UGA. You will learn, but she grades tough. You get retakes on quizzes and she averages the two. She gives plenty of practice problems to review. HW takes a while and is graded on accuracy via WebAssign. She knows what she is talking about and can actually teach you so ask questions!
Professor Kim is a gem in the math department. I had not taken any math classes in over three years, and she was incredibly helpful and patient with me. She has a lot of homework and can be picky about how to do certain things; however, it is for a reason. She is very reasonable and gives credit back if you advocate for yourself. Take her!
Dr. Kim wants you to succeed. She knows her materials and knows how to teach. She is very strict on her attendance.
I took Dr. Kim for Calc I and II, and I would have taken her for Calc III if I could, too. For a pretty difficult class, she made it feel manageable. It was challenging but she provided all the resources you could need and taught very well with lots of examples. She is so sweet and wholesome, and I would highly recommend taking her.
She is the best math professor I ever had, making calculus easier. I took it in high school, did not understand a thing. Now I understand it deeply and enjoy studying it. If you solve all the practice and in class problems over and over again, you will get the material.Just make sure to get the notations how she wants them!
great job
Clear lectures, engages with her students, creates a collaborative classroom environment, strong pace throughout. One of the best teachers in the math department.
Dr. Kim is extremely good at explaining material. I had a tough time in AP Calc in high school and had little knowledge coming into Calc I. Dr. Kim makes things very simple and emphasizes practice which really helps for exams. They can be tough, but as long as you pay attention in lecture, it's not bad.
With regard to grading, she is a little particular with work. However, she is incredibly supportive and teaches Calculus very well! Her teaching style and feedback make the content easy to understand. Ultimately, your grade in this class depends on the effort you put in, so please make use of Dr. Kim's feedback on your work.
QUEEN!!! Most genuinely caring professor ever. Her teaching philosophy is its her job to teach you, but it's your job to practice, so expect a lot amount of homework and prep time for almost weekly quizzes. Lectures are AMAZING, lots of practice and super to the point. Her tests are difficult but if you study they are super fair. Great extra credit
Hee J Kim was a phenomenal Calc Professor. She gives tons of in class examples and teaches through great lectures. She gives a ton of resources and helpful homework problems which should prepare you well for quizzes and exams.
Sometimes difficult to understand but she genuinely wants to teach her students and help them understand the content.
Dr. Kim was a really great professor! She made sure everyone understood the material, and provided plenty of opportunities for improving your grades on tests and quizzes. If you prefer a more hands-off professor she might not be for you, as she will directly correct your work in class which can be frustrating, but ultimately is helpful.
Great calc professor. She's really caring and such a sweet person. She can be annoyingly strict on things sometimes like attendance and phones. She's very involved in class so it almost feels like a high school math class. Some may like that some may not. At the end of the day she's super fair with things and I really can't complain. Good Lectures.
Her tests are extremely hard. You can only get 5 points on test corrections and if you did poorly they will take many hours. The quiz corrections are offered for a limited amount of time, so if you have a time conflict you are out of luck. The HW has very little in common with the tests. While a good teacher, she makes her class unnecessarily hard.
Calc 2 is a hard math course but Dr. Kim makes it so interesting and exciting to learn. I fell in love with math again thanks to her. So sweet and WANTS you to succeed. Best math teacher I've ever had. The one thing I would say I didn't like was hw due on Friday evenings and weekly quiz on Monday (which I usually forgot about). Dr. Kim, I
Dr Kim really cares for her students, but her grading is very very harsh. She does not allow for any leeway. Her tests also are difficult for no reason. Her weekly quizzes while helpful were very stressful and made her class time consuming, so was the homework (which often covered topics not talked about in class or extremely hard problem examples)
Queen. Prof. Hee Jung Kim makes calc II doable. People say this class sucks, which it does, but she ate. Gives you all the resources you need and rly does want you to succeed. She explains even the simplest algebra while explaining complex processes which makes it hard to get lost during her lectures. If you pay attention, you got this.
She was my favorite professor this semester! Could not recommend her enough. So much extra credit was given throughout the semester and her teaching style is so easy to understand. There are 3 midterm and 10 quizzes, and you can retake the quizzes to get a higher grade.
She was a great teacher and made sure to focus on common mistakes. Her lectures were organized and she provided great notes. Yes, the tests and quizzes were hard, but she provides so many resources and opportunities to get points back which makes it a time and effort-based class. The WebAssign hws were lockdown which was annoying. Don't skip class
Dr. Kim is of my favorite professors ever!! I had her for both Calc 1&2 and spent plenty of hours in her office since I struggled with concepts and time constraints during tests at times. But, she really did her best to help me out and even made me enjoy the subject very much! Best math professor out there...you'll love her!
This class was THE hardest math class I've ever taken at UGA. I've never worked this hard in a class (I'm a CS major btw). Going to her office hours is key to maintaining a good grade. You can retake quizzes you did bad on. She's always willing to help you understand concepts and cares about the students. Extra credit is given.
Professor Kim is very caring and wants to make sure her students succeed. She gives a lot of materials such as lecture notes, videos, and practice quizzes/tests. The tests and quizzes can be quite hard but if you attend office hours and class she prepares you very well, as the content is mirrored in the questions she practices with you.
Best professor I've had at UGA. She is very consistent every single class period, teaches the material in a concise and clear manner, and gives so many opportunities for credit. I could not imagine taking Calc with another professor.
Good professor that makes calc 2 actually understandable. Attending lectures and studying for quizzes are a must. If you understand the practice quizzes / lecture notes you will be fine on the weekly quizzes. Homework was hard for what. Set aside a few hours a week and this class isn't too shabby.
She deletes bad reviews
Dr. Kim is a really great teacher who definitely cares about her students. She explains topics very thouroughly and has tons of office hours for you to get extra help. Also gives lots of extra credit. She requires attendance but is super understanding if you have to miss. However, she is a hard grader and the tests tend to be difficult.
NOT a flipped classroom like most calc 1 classes. Dr. Kim is an amazing professor and if u get the chance to take her I would 1000% recommend you do. Weekly quizzes and homework, gives plenty of review material for tests, and extra credit. 75% of your grade is 4 exams (including the final) but that is pretty consistent with most calc 1 classes.
She is okay. The final was much harder than previous finals, but she did not curve the grades. She just gave us 2 bonus points.
Prof. Hee Jung Kim's MATH2260 is no easy feat, but her dedication shines through. Attend class, utilize office hours, and try Unstuckstudy - the extra support pays off. Tough but rewarding, this class will challenge you to grow.
Really good, made calc 2 as doable as possible honestly. Just listen and retake your quizzes every time
I loved her class. She makes calculus II as manageable as possible. Others complain about her grading, but she will allow you to retake most things to improve your grade and will drop 2 of 9/10 quizzes. Tests follow the course content, although you need to study heavily, but then again, it's calculus II. Take her class if you have the option.
She is AMAZING! She cares so much about her students and makes the class as easy as it can be. Calc II is difficult, but Dr. Kim truly gives her students all the tools required for success. take her if you can!!
Greatest math teacher I have ever had. She genuinely wanted to help you learn the material. Prepares you well for the tests and quizzes. Not only that, but you will genuinely learn calculus in this class. I feel like I will remember the things I learned forever. Take her, please, cause you will not regret it. GOAT.
If you get the chance to take Dr. Kim for any calculus, I would highly recommend her. I had her for Calculus 1 & 2, and she was truly amazing. Insightful lectures, plenty of retake opportunities, and ample office hours. Attendance is mandatory, and 3/4 of your grade is 4 tests, but that's consistent with other calculus sections.
Amazing professor! Had the pleasure to have her for Calc1&2 and she taught both incredibly well. Very passionate about calculus and approachable+helpful in office hours. Gives quiz&test retakes & extra credit, & clearly wants students to do well. Also leniant towards any extenuating circumstances students may have. HW is hard, but only 5% of grade.
she was the best!! everything u learn in class is literally reflected in the quizzes and tests. attend office hours is so vital because u learn a lot more than you think you already do. dont be afraid to ask for help!!
Really sweet teacher, she loves to help you understand. Just be clear with questions you're asking sometimes she can mishear them. She wants you to pass but you will need to show up in order to do well in her class.
Dr. Kim was the best math teacher I've ever had in my entire educational career. Her notes sheets were basically the format of the quizzes/exams, so you know what the tests/quizzes are going to be like and just need to master those questions. Utilize EVERY retake!! I was never a math person, but her class was so good that I actually enjoyed it.
Had her for cal 1 and 2. Best math professor at UGA. goes into detail, makes sure you understand the content. lets you retake exams and quizzes. Take her. or don't. I can't tell you what to do.
Amazing Proff
At the beginning of the semester, this class was really difficult for me; she taught a certain way that you have to get used to, but regardless, after I got used to it, she was an amazing teacher. Show up to her office hours, and she will help a lot. She is really nitpicky on quizz./tests, so make sure you do it exactly how she shows it in lecture.
Dr. Kim was extremely sweet and you could tell she wanted you to pass. I didn't like how different her quiz and test problems were from the class/practice problems, and they often felt way harder than what we practiced. The majority of people failed her quizzes and tests, but she gives a little extra credit. No curves or thrown out questions though
Took AP Calc AB in high school and still struggled. WebAssign takes a long time. Quiz retakes help only if you score 90+ (she averages the retake with your original). Test retakes add just a few points. Had an A pre-final but finished A-; department final was brutal. Do practice quizzes/tests early/often, and consider UNIV 2250 for extra support.
Dr. Kim is very strict with grading and attendance. You have tons of HW and weekly quizzes. She lets you retake every test/quiz but it was very difficult to constantly keep up with the all the material. She also kept switching the retake percentages to give us less points each time. She also writes very fast and can be hard to understand.
