Lots of little assignments and with very little change in the daily activity. She's very upbeat and encouraging, tries to help when people are struggling. Papers are a breeze, but daily assignments tend to overwhelm...

I would have to say Heidi is one of the most vivacious teacher I've had. She is very enthusiastic about teaching. Forget about drinking coffee to wake up before class, her vibrance alone should liven the spirit of class; although, most of the topics delve darker aspects of humanity. There are many writing assignments, which any writer should love.

I took her classes twice. She is a really good teacher and she is very polite to her students. The are meny writings in this class, but she is not strict and can give you more time on it if you'll ask her. It is not hard to get and A, just be a good writer)))

She was very nice, i enjoyed her class. The discussions were awesome! A very open class, not very structured which i thought was great. She was very helpful and i learned a lot from her. She's one of my favorite teachers!

Heidi is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is passionate about her field, knows what she's teaching, and is very compassionate. While she is flexible on due dates, she also demands quality from her students and will make every effort possible to give additional help when requested. North Hennepin is very lucky to have her.

Very good teacher. doesn't have any due dates for her assignments or papers. Participate in class discussions in either the small groups and large groups or one of them. Very laid back teacher. Excellent class, but don't say anything bad about nature in the discussions. Big nature lover.

One of the best teachers at NHCC. She's a real person and makes the class an interactive learning experience. Mixed lecture, class discussion, and paper writing.

Heidi is a great teacher. If you ask her questions, she WILL answer them. You can ask for help anytime! She makes the class enjoyable. We have discussions on the books and she rarely lectures. She tells you important things and she does not give out quizes or tests. Her grading is very fair and you can ask her what you need to improve on. EC is acc

The class was alright, kind of boring because all we did was group discussions almost everyday. The homework was time consuming (a 3-5 page journal assigned almost every class) but wasn't extremely hard. She grades fairly, and is very helpful if you ask for it. Basically all you do in her class is write journals, discuss, and write a few papers.

Very nice prof!! She was very helpful and graded fairly. We did a lot of journal writing which got a bit overwhelming, and did group discussions almost everyday. She gave us a break from the journals once in a while, and offered extra credit. I would recommend her to anyone, but just be ready to do a lot of reading and writing. Overall good class.

Heidi does not penalize on late work, and she is very understanding of the fact that we have lives outside of school. English has always been my weak subject academically, but this year I gained more knowledge of the English language than I ever have before. If you are looking to improve and be challenged, take Heidis course. She is awesome.

Heidi is such an amazing teacher!! She TRULY cares about her students!! She doesnt take away points for late work. I would suggest not taking advantage of that though. Just turn it in when it's due. She is one of the best professors that I have ever had while attending college. I have took her class for 950, 1201, and 1202. To be honest english is one of the class that i struggle in the most. I was able to pass her class with an A. The work that you put it will depend on the grade you will get. Do be prepare to write long essay. It is Englsih.

Heidi is a great instructor, many love her. She has her expectations but gives the opportunity to seek additonal help with assignments and ensures that everyone is on the correct page. Take what she says when she returns work, you'll benefit from it highly.

This class is very flexible, in no way challenging. Heidi does not give out 100% on any assignments period. You're allowed to turn in late work with no consequences and you can fix your assignments for a better grade. Her expectations and standards are very low for this class.

This is a fantastic teacher. She is a very uplifting teacher with care. She takes late work so don't worry about that but don't get too behind because it will hinder you. She has a great grading path that many of her students like. I would recommend her class to many because her class is pretty fun.

Heidi was the kindest and caring teacher I ever met. Just do her assignments on time and you could revise the assignment as many as you want and you will pass the class. She graded on time as well. BEST TEACHER!

Heidi is hands down the nicest professor I've ever had. She is clear from the beginning that she is kind of a tough grader because she wants her students to actually get better at writing. She is very understanding when life happens and will work with you to make sure you can finish the class.

Super nice professor. She is there to help you write the best paper you can write. You write one paper the whole semester for 1202, but you have to put in the work. I asked her, on numerous occasions, to help me with my paper. She never got annoyed. she is so nice all the time. She gave me a lot of good feedback as well. I enjoyed her class.

Professor Farrah is very caring. She does accept late work and you can revise and edit your paper for a higher score. We did read 4 books so prepare to read and write about them weekly. We wrote 3 papers. They were all fairly easy. She is willing to help you at any time. She isnt a hard grader either. If you try and do your work she will be fair.

She's very kind and truly cares about your success in her class. Can't make an assignment on time? Tell her. Feel uneasy about a paper coming up? Ask her. She is compassionate and gave me many chances-don't take advantage of that! If you need help, ask her. There are no such things as stupid questions with her - unless you didn't check the syllabus

This was one of the best classes I have ever taken. Professor Farrah is kind, caring, and an all-around amazing individual. She allows late work, gives clear and straightforward instructions for the assignments and will help you with whatever questions you may have. I will absolutely be taking any future classes with her if I can.

Heidi is a wonderful professor who is great at giving feedback and working with her students. She assigns readings that allow her students to see stories they otherwise, would not have been exposed to. I learned so much in this class. From different styles of writing to amazing stories. Heidi assigns writing often, and there are roughly 8-10 books.

Do the work and you will get an A. She is such a nice soul and is very lenient with late work. She understands that people can struggle w/ school and she tries her best to accommodate everyone. Since it was an online class there were a lot of online discussions we had to do, sometimes multiple a week. Easy class and an amazing professor

Professor Farrah is so sweet and helpful! The only thing is that she uses an odd grading scale, so she would never give 100% but a 95% on all the coursework that was considered satisfactory. This class is a lot of work, but nothing super difficult. The professor will give you a good grade as long as you meet the guidelines and submit work on time.

Professor Farrah is the best professor I have had yet. INCREDIBLY kind and understanding about time constraints. Only a few assignments, including a large paper, but PLENTY of time to complete it. Doesn't usually give 100% on every assignment (typically 95% instead). She understands conflicts with mental illness. I certainly recommend her!

All you need to do in this class is submit something so she could grade on it, it's mostly in your own thoughts, 1201-1202 is an accelerated class but 6 credits, but to me it wasn't that bad, just type a lot of things. You might need to get a reading book/online that she would want the class to read but no textbooks. She is definitely the nicest

Heidi is super nice and understanding. She's also really knowledgeable about writing, and can answer any questions you have. Her class was actually really fun! I took the faster course of college writing 1 and 2 in one semester, so there was a lot of papers, but she set some guidelines to help with procrastination.

I took her class with my sister and both of us are not good at writing essays. Despite this she helped us out with feedback and informed us what we can do to improve our writing. Amazing teacher who clearly has a passion for writing. You have on assignment the entire semester, and it's writing a 15-20 page essay on literally whatever you want. She gives amazing feedback and the grading criteria is easy to understand. I had so much fun writing my paper.
