ALWAYS KEEPS YOU BUSY. THERE IS A QUIZ AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. THERE ARE ALWAYS ASSIGNMENTS THAT HAVE TO BE DONE. SHE GIVES ME MORE HOMEWORK THAN MY OTHER 3 CLASSES COMBINED.
A waste of my time. She is a grad student that is trying to impress the people with the amount of**** work she has you do. and the extra credit helps only so much. All you have to do is study the vocab and waist you time on web ct every day. If you take her,I hope you don't want free time.
She is a cool teacher. Gives out alot of extra credit, but mainly it is in a eassy form. You have to study in order to pass any tests. First two tests were eassy and scantron...Final was all scatron. This class is no lay off, so think very clearly about taking her class.

Her class is NOT fun. She doesn't know how the govt runs, she has only memorized the book.
I dropped this lady's class like a hot potato. Seriously, some teachers that teach honors courses have a hard time seperating what is honors and what's not. She is one of those teachers. She said she was having quizes everday and test every week (for summer class). Tardies are absences. Please! I swapped to a teacher that was cool and laid back.

Does not have time after classes, DOES NOT GIVE A TEST REVIEW, writes condeluded test questions, Gives up to 18pts extra credit but must do Community Service to get them!! I am 3.2+ GPA I will be lucky to pass class with a 2.2 ...is no dept. head, she writes final exam and it's consecutive not cumulative if that helps.
She's very hard and hardly curves. Most of her notes are on power point even if you write the notes down it won't help at all. Her tests are very confussing because of the way she words the questions. Don't take her if you want to pass the class and not have to retake it.
This teacher is one of the hardest teachers to take. U would think u were going to Harvard or somewhere. If you want to pass w/ a F then enjoy. She brags & talks down on Democrats sometimes. Beware of the warning. Her tests are beyond hard & she gives nothing to study on. I tried so hard. Stay away from this lady. She'll make you sick and stressed.

The instructor is very challenging and worthy of its place in college. I appreciate the extra difficulty because it makes me work a little harder, and I HAVE LEARNED A LOT!!

At first, she seemed very mean but was nice to the students that ask a lot of questions. If you take her class, do not buy the book. Go out and get the study guide. First 2 test I tried to read the book and took pages and pages of notes. Did not help. Got the study guide and read it once and got 89, 88, 85 on last 3 test. Did not even take 1 note w
Professor Lange was an amazing teacher! I had no interest in Govt at all until her class. You have to come to class and participate to get a good grade. Book is mandatory to pass. All tests and quizes come straight from book. She was very organized and helpful.

Did not like her. Talks about her political interest instead of Government itself. It's obvious she's a republican. Not helpful, did not return my email when I was sick. Final was hard. I read everything we were suppost to and got a D.

Pros: good lecturer, knows her stuff, organized, timely, keeps your interest and I learned a lot. Cons: it'd be nice if she were not so full of herself. Can be condescending. Also don't expect any kind of relationship with her as she keeps a wall around her. Can be petty with grammar rules on tests but she slacked off after a while.

Lecture is exactly from the book. Tests and quizzes are fairly easy if you study. Make good outlines/notes.

SUX. If HCC knows what's good for them, they should let her go. Very ignorant in her political issues. Blabs on and does not really teach, she expects you to do that on your own, by reading the text. Waist of time and money!
She's not helpful at all. She thinks she's better than anybody, so delicate that's annoying. She is so against Democrats. If you are foreign she's not gonna like you, worse if you still have an accent. Her exams are very hard, mult-choice and confusing. Quizzes every week and short answer! If you Don't want to fail don't take her; believe me!
Taking her for GOVT 2302 and everything comes straight from the book. You basically teach yourself. Also, she calls her class "non-normative" and doesn't let you give your opinion on anything whatsoever yet constantly gives out her very right-winged opinion and everything she says that doesn't come straight out of the book is slanted.
Just do not take it, it was very bad, take Abdallah instead!

Prof. Lange is a no nonsense person. If you are a slacker then don't expect to do well in this class; she makes it clear from day 1 that she expects you to read the text, get the lecture notes in the library, and attend class. You're in college; expect to GROW UP and put in hard work. I got an A in her class with the extra credit. 4 scantron exams.
Although her lectures are clear and gives out good notes, half of the material isn't even on the test. She makes it almost impossible to pass her class with a decent grade. This is the type of teacher that lowers your GPA.
She is a horrible teacher! Do NOT take her! her tests are extremely hard to pass. It will lower your GPA. Take Abdallah.!!!!!!! He is the best Government teacher there is...you will get an A in his class and it will be no pain going to it.

This professor was my worst ever I thought she'd be the great to have but she's so full of herself. She keeps boasting about herself as if she were trying to get a job in a fortune 500 company but I only wish that I just passed her name up when I was picking my classes. I recommend taking Thi Lam for Government instead.
She's nice an also cares about her students. She gives us a quiz then lecture for the rest of the class.The only thing the student has to do is just outline a chapter and do the quiz the next day.Also her test are easy.
Don't take this class if you do not wish to be humiliated, belittled, treated as less, and lower your G.P.A. She talks as if she is the queen of Britain and all students are lowly commoners.
I worked as hard I could to achieve an A, and still ended up with a B. This class is very hard, I am not taking her again. You have to outline every chapter and expect a quiz on every single one, too. Her exams are half answer choice, half short answer. I like her as a person, she is funny... As a professor, not so much.

She is a good teacher but the way she teaches in NOT HELPFUL! SHe makes you read a whole chaper on your own in a day then quiz on it. then after the quiz is taken up she wants to lecture and teach over the stuff that she quized over. that makes no since! -_____-
I learned a lot. She does quiz on the assigned chapters to make sure we read. As an adult student, I appreciate her. She helped me to keep on top of the reading. I start reading at least 3 days before the class. Thanks Prof

She does not teach at all, she only spouts the right wing party line. She bullies students if they do not agree with her views but asks for opinions anyway. There are no equals in her class. Unless you kiss her behind you are treated as inhuman.
Her class is really easy. You have a whole week to read like 10-20 pages, half of which are taken up by HUGE pictures. If you can't pass this class, you're a total moron. I didn't even study for half of it and got a B+ LOL! ALL the answers are in the online book and quizzes.
Easy class, took her for spring second semester. She explains the material clearly, very approachable. Even though she is a right-winger she still states the facts from both sides. Overall, she's a good teacher. I highly recommend her.
While she is understandable in regard to material, she does not teach well. Her teaching is mostly based on opinion and not fact. Her political views are evident and are thrown in students faces regularly. She is not professional and disrespectful constantly.
The pros for this professor are the following: she speaks English and shows up to work on time. However, she teaches almost no facts and all opinion. She is rude to students and thrusts her political views in everyone's way. She will not allow you to leave the room and if you do have to leave you cannot come back. She is not a mature person.

I would strongly suggest using another professor. Her lecture notes were obsolete, unorganized, and not able to be used where they would have been useful. She mixes her personal opinions with arrogance and disrespect.

This professor does not instruct the class in a professional way. She does not teach the material as given in the text. She is opinionated which is not bad itself but she allows her opinions to rule the class.
She is not helpful in the way she teaches or in the way she handles herself in front of the class. She is self promoting and does not teach the text. Her opinions take precedence over the information that is meant to be taught.
She has the ability to teach however she cannot seem to apply them to teaching. She spends the class talking about her own political opinions then actually teaching what the material is about. She is also rude and makes immature comments about students and others.
Although i passed with an A i wouldnt suggest this teacher. Take her only if you have a strong interest in Government. Lots of reading. Tests come from notes, book, lectures. She is strict. You cant even use the restroom. People literally were told to sit down and hold it. No phones, no hats, a little too anal. Not a class for lazy students
Although she is very strict I found her class very informative. She really know a lot about politics and was very helpful with me passing her class. You will definitely have to earn your grade in this class but very much worth it. It's college what do you expect!!
Although I made a B in her class, I don't recommend her if your not interested in Government. A lot reading, (10-16) quizzes &(4) tests. She is too anal for me, no restroom breaks, no hats, the desks have to be in a perfect line, etc. You have quizzes on ch's b4 she teach it. If you do the online exams, and outline the ch's. you'll pass
She is disrespectful and spends most of the time bragging about herself. She is knowledgeable about politics but is very opinionated and will belittle anyone who has a different one. You have to read every chapter before class because there will be a quiz on it before she "teaches" it. Doesn't even let you know what to outline for the quiz. Madness
She was rude, and did not help at all. There are quizzes everyday prior to the lecture so therefore you are prone to getting a bad grade because she did not teach.

She was extremely informative and has helped me gain interest in government! She sticks to the syllabus and however the homework is extensive, if you do it you will pass! Do the homework and don't miss a tests or quiz and you will pass with flying colors! I LOVED LOVED LOVED her!!

Great class with a knowledgeable professor. The tests are challenging but very doable if you keep up with the reading and take good notes.

Attendance is mandatory which should be a problem as we are paying our way through college. You will learn a ton about government and politics. Respectful and polite professor who expects the same from students. HIGHLY recommend taking any of her classes! I will be taking her next class this Fall.
really cares about students learning. lots of opportunities for extra credit. very fair. taking her classes any other change I have. great professor, really likes what she teaches and it shows. you will learn a lot in this class. daily quizzes require you to pre-read materials and outline chapters which helps for mid-term and finals. very informative lectures. extra credits are a nice touch. this is my class with dr. lange and i wish i had more opportunities to take more of her classes.

I really enjoyed her class. She doesn't just read from the textbook, she actually teaches from real world experiences and makes you understand and get excited about politics. If you don't like to read and write, don't take her class. An " A " on quizzes are based on how good you read and can outline chapters and take notes.
Strict on lateness issues and absences regardless of situation. Textbook based class, outline a chapter every week, get tested on it the following Monday. Personally find the lecture useless. Answers questions, clear instructions, professional, but I've had better. Outline the chapters, study quizzes, should be fine on tests.
Professor Lange is very passionate about her government class and it shows in her instructing. I really appreciated her clear explanations, and when she thought the class didn't understand something she would come the next day with a chart to break things down. I learned a lot from her class, but she does make you work for it. Good Instructor.
I took her for American Government. She is nice, helpful and respectful. READING THE TEXTBOOK IS A MUST TO PASS! She has quizzes every week and allows you to use your notes. Lecture slides everyday that take up most of the time. Phones are taken up if she sees it. Overall a good class but requires a lot of studying.
Lange is a decent teacher and her lectures are good. But when it comes to her tests a lot of the time there are questions that include information that was not covered in the text book. Her tests can range from being somewhat easy to pretty hard depending on the area. I even found more so than not that her quizzes were more difficult than the tests

This was by far the WORST class I've ever taken. She gives you 1 hour for a 50 question test which isn't all multiple choice. She is a tough grader and is rude when you fail a quiz or test. This professor will ruin your gpa. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS RUN!!!!
It's college. Tough professors prepare real students for university work. I enjoyed the challenge. Her toughness makes her good. If I were her, I'd be tired of lazy students. Who wouldn't lose their patience with slackers?

Very tough grader on test and quizzes. This was by far the hardest online class that I've taken. The Professor gives test with multiple choice and fill in, and some questions do not appear to be from the lectures or textbook.
One of the hardest class I'ver ever taken since I started college! The powerpoints and lectures are short and did not explain much. The quizzes, tests, and final exam are all timed! Not enough time to even read the questions. She takes awhile to respond to emails.

I learned more in her class about self control and self determination (as well as government!) and I have taken that with me! She is really good.
