If you like tall blonde teachers who talk like their from the north then tale Laudien. She's not that an easy of a grader but the work isn't diffcult 3 papers and 1 final, but be prepared to read.

professor laudien is the best teacher i have EVER had at manhattan college. Although she makes you work extremely hard, she is so funny, and i definitely learned more in her class, then i have in the rest of my manhattan college career. :)

Laudien is one of the best professors I have ever had. Funny, fun, and always original (she expects you to be the same). "Just so you know, you are doing pages out of a grade school workbook, so let us work a bit harder."-Laudien

The best teacher at Manhattan. You will have to work your ass off, but in the end it's worth it, you learn alot and she is very down to earth,reasonable and funny

She is a hard grader, but one of the best teachers I have had at Manhattan College. TAKE HER!!!! And she is always there for extra help.

all the material she taught I learnt in the 7th grade. convos were like pullin teeth and all anyone talked about was their personal opinions on racism and crap. A class that could have been interesting gone to crap. All class material from internet

lady is hard. she is anal on only quality work. she tears papers apart. she teaches alot thouh she will make you a better writer, but with alot of work

She was funny, helpful and nice--made extra time to help with my writing.

She asks a lot of you but teaches alot. Very challenging.We all went out for Italian food at the end of the semester--thanks!

Shes really not as bad as everyone else on here is making her out to be. I think shes great! Very helpful and wants you to do well. I would def. recomend her and even take her again if I could. Easy easy easy!!!!

Definetly a good professor, she's really funny and cool. And her class is challenging but in the end, you'll be a better writer.

A challenging course--most I've learned at Manhattan.

One of my favorite teachers at manhattan. relates class to your everyday life-the discussions are lively and actually fun. i enjoyed attending this class everyday. you have to work for your grade, but the material is interesting so that makes it less like work. i would definitely reccommend her!

She's cool, she's only condescending if you're an idiot.

Just took her midterm and it was hard but exactly what she said would be in it. She's funny and nice--down to earth and easy on eyes.

LOVED HER! she is very nice, very dry sense of humor which kept me entertained. She expects a lot but its nice to have someone who cares, i learned a ton!

Global Orgins, if you spoke up in class and new what was going on in the world she loved you. Papers are so so but she is a great teacher. Mild Feminist to say the least.

She rips your papers apart and you cant seem to please her. Talks down to you like you are worthless and slow in the head. Very hard grader on papers, so dont look to breeze through the class. She is also not hot, so I dont see where people are getting that. The only positive I have is that she does make herself available outside the classroom.

I have her this semester for Children's literature and shes amazing! she really cares about the students, very funny and gets you to think about the books in different ways. attendance is mandatory but i LOVE Laudien

I really like Laudien. She's real, smart and funny. I've been to her office hours four times and she always helps me. I think I might be a nag but she hasn't said. She's a hard grader but I think it's working. She has a very cute kid 2

Impossible to get an "A" but great teacher. I learned more from Laudien than any teacher I've had at Manhattan. You will work and work.

One of my first professors at Manhattan College and I absolutely adored her. I recommend her to anyone who has to take LLRN 102. I am by no means an exceptional student but I made it through her class. She expects you to read and participate. She is funny and delightful. Always ready to help. I definitely recommend her.

She was a great teacher! She was very passionate and she made the material relate to our world and our problems. She always made us laugh but the reading is crucial. Her tests may be tricky but if you take notes and read you will get a good grade. Participation is key also. She is also kind of crazy- but in a good way

This was by far my favorite class at MC. She's the only real professor on campus and easy on the eyes. She's a little intimidating at first but its clear she cares about students. Made me think and work hard but it was worth it. I.D.'s on tests are hard.

I decided to switch my major because of this woman. She's very funny and smart. Even though the course material was dry, she made it interesting. I went to her office hours constantly and I think that's why I did so well in the course. Am taking her again in the fall.

She is an amazing professor. She is so unpredictable and makes the class so interesting. Even outside class she is fun and helpful. She makes the best edits to drafts and will guide you through writing a paper. Her tests aren't too hard if you listen in class and read the books. For every play that has a video she will stream it to make it easier.

I just took her English 260 Comedy and Tragedy class and loved it. I never thought about art or literature before this course and now I'm really into it. She is down to earth and loves teaching. You need to do the work though and participation is important. She helped me become a stronger writer and critical thinker--Thanks Laudien!

I had her for English 323 Brit Lit chicks. The course is hard but she makes it interesting and relatable. She is funny, pretty, smart and nice. If you do the work you will do well in the class. She helped me a lot with my final paper--I think I showed her five drafts but she didn't mind. Always go to class prepared.

Laudien is amazing at what she does, she is great in a classroom setting. The work is NEVER boring and neither is class because she always finds ways to incorporate current events or stories into her lesson. You will love coming to class everyday. TAKE HER !

Heidi made her course "Masterworks of British Literature" one of the most enjoyable courses of my undergrad career. The class had only eight students, and 5 were engineers (including me). With that in mind, Heidi ran the class in a non-traditional way and really had fun with it. The discussions are always great in her classes. Participate!

I LOVED Laudien. Every class is different. Shes super smart, definitely cares about students and tells you how to be successful in the class. Reading is important and she will call on you in class but thats college. No cellphones in class EVER. Very funny and kind.

I took comedy and tragey last semester and it was by far my favorite class. Laudien is super smart and makes you think about plays in ways I never had--even ones I had read before. She loves when you participate and she always made me laugh. She gets it.

I loved Laudien. Shes smart, kind and pretty. Eventhough most of the plays were tragedies, we laughed every class. Shes super funny. Outside of class she helped me a lot with my papers and even helped me with a resume. She sent us stuff about jobs and seems genuinely concerned about students. Very down to earth.

Professor Laudien was great. A few of my friends recommended her and I can see why. There was never a boring class and she has a great sense of humor. The plays throughout the curriculum are rather interesting and fairly easy to follow along with. She does an excellent job explaining each play and making sure each student is prepared for the test.

Professor Laudien is one of the best professors Ive had at Manhattan College. I decided to take her course after many of my friends recommend I do. She is one of the nicest and funniest professors. Her humor keeps the class really interesting. She is also very passionate about what she teaches. I recommend anyone take her if they can!!!

This woman... amazing. I took this class for my last English gen-ed, and as long as you do your work, you will do well. She is hilarious and is not shy at all to share her opinions. At first, she may come off strong, but once you get to know her... she will become one of your favorite professors at MC. DEF take her!

Dr. Laudien is definitely an interesting gal, but she is very sweet and caring. She is a great mentor and I think she is definitely one of the better professors at the school.

By far this was my favorite class this semester. She LOVES the plays she teaches and cares about her students. If you have to take an English elective, take this class. Our discussions were sometimes intense, but it made me think about my life.

I took Laudien for English 211 and LOVED this class. Don't pay attention to the hate on this professor because she is amazing. She worked on 15 drafts of my papers and I am definitely a better writer because of her. She even offered to work with me over break and next semester. My roommate doesn't even have her and she helped her with her resume.

Heidi is SO chill. I 100000% recommend. She is so kind and has a passionate side to her. You do have to read but if you don't want to participate, you do not have to. There was one group pres but it was so laid-back. I adore her and oh, the two exams were taken at home during class time. Her teaching is effective.

Her teaching style was all over the place, as we jumped back and forth between videos and text. There are required readings but you don't really need to do them in order to be prepared for class. There are some "pop" quizzes but she gives a warning ahead of time.

She was one of the best profs I have ever taken at Manhattan College. She made me a stronger writer, hands down. Her classes are lively and she really cares about her students. I literally showed her five drafts of my paper until I got an A on it. She helped my friend get an internship and she reviewed my resume countless times. I loved laudien!

Ok. Sassy. Hard assignments+hard grading.

I currently have this professor for English 260 and this is my best class. Eventhough it is at 9:00am, I still come because the plays are good and she's very funny. We have decent class discussions and she will make you think about life. She gets it and isn't like any of my other professors. My friend recommended the class and i"m glad I took it.

Kind and engaging.

This women has made me learn so much! The class is only 50 mins but I fell like we go over so much with such detail in that time.

Dr. Laudien is the prof who made me want to be an English Major. She may come off as tough, but she gives great feedback and allows you to rework your assignments. She cares more about improving your writing and developing as a student than just being able to recite the info. Expect to work, but also expect to grow while taking her course.

Teaching style: Fast! Don't fall behind. However, Dr. Laudien is a solid professor and wants the best for everyone. Do not be discouraged if she comes off as passive-aggressive, she can sense slackers. Overall decently fair; expect somewhat generous partial credit. Lectures are entertaining and eye-opening, don't get caught on your phone.

Dr Laudien is by far the best professor I've had thus far. She is so funny, and tries to relate to her class. There is a lot of reading and she does go quite quick, but its all very clear, and as long as you pay attention you should be fine. She is so kind and you can tell she genuinely wants her students to do their very best.

Amazing professor and human, really cares about the students and makes you her priority when class is in session. Outside of class a different story but I have zero complaints. Only a couple of papers throughout the semester but they are worth a lot. A great example of a professor who gives good life advice rather than others in her department...

Literally the best english professor I have had ever, she is so funny during lectures if you get her sense of humor (she reminds me of a talk show host). ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask for essay draft feedback, you will go to her office and she will edit it for you and walk you through why she is editing it. Everytime I get feedback, I get an A.
