Mrs. Marshall is a wonderful teacher. She is young and relates to all her students. She makes sure you understand everything in the class. She is also very fair and has reasonable guidelines.

Professor Marshall, helped me a lot. Being out of school for over 20 years I was terrified but she made it so easy. Responds to all emails and answers all questions so you can understand them. She encouraged, and I learned a lot. Thanks for giving me my dream. I think I want to write.

Professor Marshall is a good teacher, and she is very knowledgeable. Not very many points offered in this class, and it was work to maintain a good grade. The assignments are not hard, but the in-class essays were pretty tough. She also takes a while to get papers back.

Wonderful teacher!!! She will help you understand English. You will have to write 3 papers, but topics are interesting and you have lots of time to revise your drafts. She explains things so clearly and she is willing to help in any way possible. I reccomend this professor to everyone!!

So far this looks to be one of the toughest classes I have taken at FCCJ, and I am on my third semester. The amount of work she is assigning is getting thick with no signs of relief. She seems like a nice enough teacher and it's obvious that she is passionate about her job. However, she needs to shorten the workload. I have a life out of school.

Not a typical junior college professor, but you will thank her for it. I took the 8wk course, and made an A. I haven't taken a college class in 12yrs., and because of Dr. Marshall I am now taking 5 classes in one semester. I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to learn how to write good papers. Believe me you'll need to know how to later.

Dr. Marshall came off a little standoffish at first, but I grew to love her class. I would definitely recommend this professor to anyone wanting to write excellent papers throughout their college career. She's an awesome professor!

The class was easy.just a few, short essays(2-3 pages).you get a week to them!most of the time you dont have to go to class because of research and confrences with her.highly recommand in taking her!

Dr.Marshall is an excellent professor.The reason everyone is calling her strict because she tells you that don't be rude to her, and dont act like a 7th grader. She tells you the first day in class that if you email her for questions , title your email, and write your name and what class you have her, or else how is she suppose to know who you are.

Prof Heidi Marshall is very funny. She keeps the classroom interesting and fun but at the same time educational and fullfilling. I would recommend her to ANYONE needing a Lit class or ENC1101 or 1102. She is awesome, flexible, and extremely in love with what she does. In turn, that makes every class an adventure.

I had Dr. Marshall for SLS and I have to admit, I had second thoughts about her class at first... I was wrong, her class was very fluid and comprehensive. I got in a motorcycle accident and could not do the community service hours she requires because of injuries... So at the last minute she allowed me an alternative which I was very grateful for.

I took Dr. Marshall Enc 1102 class. If you take her class, be prepared to read and write research papers in a timely manner. She expects a lot from her students. If you are a fast reader and write well, you will do fine in her class. However, I don’t recommend taking her class if you plan on getting an easy A. Good Luck!

I took Dr. Marshall's SLS class and it was the easiest class I've had. She made the assignments very clear and very easy. I finished all the assignments way before the end of the semester. Dr. Marshall was very helpful with any question or concern I had. I would recommend her class to any freshman.

She was a super easy A. I loved this teacher. I live in another state now and I am sad I won't be taking her for ENC1102.

She gave us 3 papers to write, and we had to make 2 drafts for 2 of the papers. The third acted as our final with no requirements of drafts. She had minimal class work which consisted of discussing the newest paper to write. She does very little editing on papers so good luck figuring out if you messed up.

Professor Marshall is by fat the best English teacher I've taken. Her personality keeps the class alive so I wouldn't understand how anybody would fall asleep in that class.. Overall she's very helpful. If you need help on your essays, she's always willing to help and keeps things straightforward. Highly recommend!

This class was so much fun! She have a pretty easy grading scale. I forgot to do one assignment and ended up getting a 0 on it, but I still passed her class with an A. I didn't buy the textbook and I don't think it made any difference in the class but you do HAVE to buy the required books, but we read books like Diary of a wimpy kid .

Professor Marshall is literally the best teacher I have ever had!! I had a rough semester and she was very understanding. Her assignments aren't hard if you actually read the books. It was a hybrid class, so attendance once a week was mandatory, reasonable. In my 20 years of life, this is the first time I have had perfect attendance because I enjoyed it so much. Easy grader. Just make sure you read the assigned reading. The single thing I struggled with was her not putting the final paper rubric on blackboard.

Not only is she a wonderful teacher, but her classes are fun and interesting. They are more like art appreciation classes than anything. Definitely buy the book and put time aside to read. There are quizzes on the readings and they can really save or harm your grade. Overall, a very easy class and very enjoyable. I highly recommend her for anything

I didn't learn anything in the course. If you are looking to super easy humanities elective this is the course for you. If you want to learn something don't take her. Most the class is student presentations, she doesn't actually lecture much. The book you have to read will be the author series, which are both boring and contain no literary value

I absolutely love Dr. Marshall. She is such an amazing sweet woman. Her assignments are always fun and interesting. She gives a ton of extra credit and all her tests are easy. She is a vibrant person with an energetic personality. Take her for a HUM credit easy A. You will be sad when the class ends.

I took Prof. Marshall for SLS1103. its was pretty easy if you put in the work. There were weekly discussions and the quiz answers were right in the book, so it was pretty self-explanatory. All-in-all, i would take her class again.

I passed this class with a B, All Dr. Marshall requires is your body in class and work on time. Show up to class, read the book, do volunteer hours, resume and an essay. Done

This is by far my favorite Professor. I wouldn't exactly say if you show up you pass kinda thing but for sure if you listen and do the work that is asked the class will be great for you. she is awesome at helping others, relates a lot to real life and by far very respectful. I plan on taking her for many more courses.

You only have to do two OPEN book quizzes, 1 resume and cover letter, 5 discussions, a class presentation and a service learning of 5 hours. Your final exam is a reflection paper about your service done. She gives extra credit. I will definitely take one of her other classes. Go to class, do the work and you can EASILY get an A.

I really enjoyed having Dr. Marshall as a professor. She's funny, yet knows when to be serious. We had to do five hours of volunteer time, which was hard to do with working full time, taking care of my sick mother, and also attending school full time. Slow grader. One of the easiest classes. But incredibly kind and enjoyable to be around.

Dr. Marshall is laid back and easy to talk to. Two excellent books were assigned to do reports on; the reports focused on MLA Documentation style. There was one group project requiring 5 hours of volunteer work from and organization of the student's choice, along with one business letter and one presentation. Easy A; extra credit possible.

Professor Marshall is good. She loves what she teaches, but the problem is that you and your classmates are the primary teachers. Most of the time you will sit through presentations on authors that were assigned to you and a group member. It gets kind of old after the first 3 weeks. You don't need the textbook, just look up the poems online

I'm not a person who loves writing all that much, but I absolutely loved this class and Mrs. Marshall made it easy to love. Grading scale and instructions were crystal clear and you knew what to expect. You write papers based on the books you read, and the books were actually good reads. I would recommend you take her for this course!

She is an amazing professor and was very supportive when it came to preparing you for tests and quizzes. Since my class was only 7 weeks it was kind of difficult but she made it a breeze to go through.

I took professor Marshall for Enc1102 (7weeks/online) and it was a bit easier than I expected. 3 papers worth 200 points, MLA exam worth 200 points and 3-4 DB with 200 words and 2 replys to at least 2 classmates worth 40 points each. She big on due dates and MLA. Would recommend her to anyone!!

She is a very easy grader, as long as I followed what she wanted from an assignment, she would give full credit. I ended with a 100% in the class just from doing the work, she does not nitpick. There was not too much writing or reading, so the class was fun with a fair amount of work.

You can tell that she loves what she teaches, and she always makes class engaging. Probably the most understanding professor, and I highly recommend taking her because you do learn about different authors.

Probably the easiest A I've ever gotten. It was a 7 week class and the only think I think she really graded was my first project which was an 85. Everything else I did was a 100 even though I don't believe it was deserving of that. The syllabus is clear on what you do, but she grades extremely slow.

Dr. Marshall is absolutely amazing. I looked forward to every class. It was fairly easy to me, a couple quizzes, plot chart project on a movie, and a presentation on an author that she will assign. You don't have to buy the anthology, the readings can be found online. I took a couple other classes with her. You will not regret it!

I took a hybrid class of hers. Her lectures were a bit boring (as lectures will be) but she kept them fairly interesting. She provides a lot of feedback on your work at the beginning of the class to help with your work at the end.

Dr. Marshall is a wonderful professor and I really enjoyed her class. She wants you to have skills that you can really use through your college experience and wants you to succeed. She is laid back and interesting in her lectures, yet is highly organized which makes for a good experience (not boring nor frustrating).

Read the Bosnia List and Picking Cotton, wrote two 5 page papers. If you use audible you might miss a few small details, but you'll still pass the reading quiz. Papers are easy if you follow the outlines she provides. Great professor, very professional, passionate, and fun. I'd definitely take her class again. Highly recommended. Don't miss class.

Okay first of all, I am going to minor in literature SOLEY because of this professor. She's amazing. ENC1102 was HARD. You will need to actually LEARN MLA. She's going to be tough, and she's going to challenge you. If you want an easy A, take another class. Take her if you want to learn and walk out of her course a better writter and student. 10/10

Professor Heidi caring, loving and sweet but when it come to MLA paper, shes very thought on that! Her class pretty chill not a lot of work, but her work is very difficult.

She is a great professor in terms of her content but it can be a little bland if the material is something that youve learned before. However it is a great thing for students who just started to learn how to write research papers.

This is a pretty nice Literature class and the professor is amazing. There are stories to read, but overall the class is great and straight to the point on whats to be done.

Dr. Marshall is wonderful. She is there to help you and she gets back to you extremely fast. I will utilize her in the future. I am going to try and take another one of her classes she is so amazing.

I've read reviews about Professor Marshall being tough in her other classes, but this class is one where everyone can get an A because it is a pass or fail class. She is a reasonable, witty, enjoyable, yet no-nonsense kind of lady. She does seem to be maybe a little feminist, but she always remained unbiased toward men or women. Great communicator!

I took this class because I had to for my sport but Professor Marshall was a great online teacher. She answered emails fast as well as graded work after it was due. She gives good feedback and offered help with missed areas.

I really enjoyed this course. The reading wasn't bad at all and doing discussion board posts on them were a breeze. Beware of trying to take a quiz without reading the short stories assigned. You will not be able to google them... lol. It's one of the easier courses I have taken. You'll enjoy it

Professor Marshall is really clear on what she wants in assignments and really admires the arts. She loves to hear about your opinions on pieces so there is some discussion in class. I found my love of reading again in her class.

I took this fully online with no lecture time, essentially at your own pace. You do have to read the textbook to pass the quizzes; they are very specific to the book; it doesn't take long to read and only has 12 chapters. 3 quizzes, 5/6 discussion boards, and two very short and easy projects. Easiest A I've ever gotten.

One of my favorite classes I've taken. I enjoyed every book that we were required to read (besides the MLA format manual- yuck). Professor Marshall is a gem.

Heidi Marshall was a great professor! I took her online and there was 1 assignment a week for the B12 class. You read 2 books, but they're very interesting! It's not super easy, but all of the material is interesting and doesn't require hours of work a week. She gives back great feedback on your work and is quote flexible if need be.

She provides tools that will set you up for success and great personalized feedback. Very straightforward regarding her expectations and how the course works (which is fully open) so you may jump far ahead as you like.

Awesome! All assignments are uploaded on canvas from the start of the semester. Dr. Marshall is super considerate and provides lots of extra resources. The course is easy, as long as you read the required books in time. The books are interesting though, so it's really not a problem. 10/10 would recommend.

lovely teacher, only uses one textbook for her AML2020 class, but all of the reading can be found online with some googling. only two canvas discussion boards, grades pretty easy, and most of the important grades are in easy quizzes based on reading material. also the first person to make me enjoy poetry. 10/10 would take again

This class was very easy and enjoyable. There were two books and an MLA textbook. There was some papers, and she was very easy on grading. There was no exam but quizzes on the books. There is also an extra credit opportunity at the end of the class. As long as you do the work, and meet the requirements, you are good! I would definitely recommend!

Prof Marshall is an excellent teacher. Her syllabus and canvas modules are the best I have seen. Everything is clearly laid out at the start of the course and the number of assignments is very reasonable. She is a rapid grader and gives great feedback. Highly recommended!

Prof. Marshall is great. One MLA PowerPoint, a few quizzes on books, and a few essays. You read two books in the class. The class can be time-consuming, but if you dedicate 1-2 hours each day, you can easily pass with a good grade. I procrastinated, did everything the last few days, and got a 99%. Stay vigilant, and don't let assignments pile up.

This professor was such a good one. I took her seven week online. I wish i would've taken an in person 15 week course with her. The work was very easy. The discussions were enjoyable the lectures were enjoyable. There was a total of maybe 12 assignments. We had a few reading quizzes thay were easy. Take this professor.

Mrs. Marshall was always quick to respond to emails, even on the weekends. Her feedback for the essays was always helpful and wanted you to improve in your writing.

Amazing professor, course work is interesting and there is a good bit of reading each week but you learn a lot. Enjoyable class with an average amount of work, and no final or midterm. Has several discussion boards that require 350-400 words a piece but the topics are pretty easy.

Dr. Marshall was responsive with questions and graded in a timely manner. The workload was appropriate and she worked extra credit into the curriculum for those that need it. Highly recommend her class and I will be looking to have her as my Professor for future classes.

Dr. Marshall is great. The class is an easy A, common sense work. 3 Quizzes, two reflection papers, some discussion boards. and she is quick at grading.

Absolutely loved Dr. Marshall. Classes were very engaging and informative. Took the 12 week course and there were 10 assignments total, worth 100 points each. The two books were very interesting reads. One discussion board, five quizzes, a PowerPoint, 2 papers, and a smaller writing assignment. Extra credit too, would definitely take her again!

I took her during the spring semester for a 12 week course and she was fantastic. She has clear grading criteria and does not ask for much. It's 10 assignments including a few at home quizzes. The text book is pricy but I 100% recommend getting it. If it is hard for you to read just get an audiobook for the books. They're amazing

Dr. Marshall was an amazing professor. She really cares about her students, responds to emails quickly, and gives detailed feedback. You will need 2 books for this class, but they were really great reads. I am so happy I chose this professor and I would choose Dr. Marshall again for any future class if given the chance.

I was initially worried about taking this class, but it wasn't as complicated as I thought. It has a few writing assignments, quizzes, and a PowerPoint presentation, which were manageable. Professor Marshall was great, gave excellent feedback, and offered extra credit. I recommend taking her for ENC 1102!

I took Dr. M last Spring semester and she was AMAZING. Her lectures are great and the assignments are straight forward. You have one assignment a week. The books are great, but if you're not a reader I recommend the audio book!

Doctor Marshall was great! I took her for my first semester in college, summer C7 term. I wish I hadn't already signed up and paid for my fall classes before the summer semester started, or I would have taken her class for ENC1102 in a heartbeat. If you want to leave class feeling more educated, take her.

Professor Marshall was amazing. I just took her for my first semester of English here at FSCJ, and was such an incredible professor. She is very clear on what criteria needs to be met for every assignment and outlines every citation format needed for the assignment. Her canvas is very professional and clear to see what work needs to be done. Great!

Professor Marshall is a professional who really cares about the material she is teaching and the responses of the students. Her assignments are very straightforward, she doesn't grade harshly, and you are given a lot of time to complete the assignments. If I could take her over and over again, I would. Lovely class.

Professor Marshall's grading criteria was clear. She also provided clear requirements and outlines for the papers that we had to write. She gave a great feedback, highlighting good and bad sides of my papers. I took a fully online course, without any online meetings, but it did not made course any harder. Online textbooks were included in tituion.

Dr. Marshall couldn't be a better professor! I needed this as one of my last credits, so I took her 7-week online course. The book is pretty cheap on Amazon. As far as the assignments go, it's all very short stories and poems with quizzes and a few papers to write. She gives you clear instruction on each specific paragraph. No final. Try = pass.

Took her for my 7-week class. Assignments are easy and straightforward, but consisted of a paper and 25 questions quiz per week. She provides all the resources needed to get an A. You can tell she is very caring and passionate about teaching. She gives great feedback on papers, not a strict grader, and mostly looks for correct formatting.
