Lots of interesting discussion in class. She gets students involved and cares about what they have to say. Tests are not too bad. Take her if you can!

Easy if you go to class, tests aren't too bad except for essay part. One paper to write that was pretty simple. Take her if possible. She is entertaining, and you'll learn.

Noonan-Day is truly one of the best teachers at UNI. Her lectures are very interesting she truly cares about her students. You have 3 tests and one 5 page paper to write. The tests are over what is covered in class, but DO THE READINGS they will help

By far the most enjoyable class I've had at UNI, never missed a day. Relates to things students would find interesting. Tests can be a bit hard but they are curved and there is a paper but she grades it pretty easy. Definitely take her for this class or any other classes she teaches

Very fun teacher who actually cares about students learning. Not the easisest class, but she will do anything to try and help you through it. She understands that not everybody is a lawer and teachers to the students with that in mind.

Great instructor and a super person! I wish I could take another class with her. I had her class a year ago and I still remember the four elements of a TORT!! This isn't a class for slackers, you have to earn your grade, but you'll have fun!

You will enjoy this class. I took this class in the summer and it was awesome. The best part of the class is hearing about all of her past cases. Her tests are not that hard just look at your notes. You will be able to gain a lot of points on her essay questions.

She is a great teacher. She makes sure you learn the material, and gives numerous examples. She loves her students, and is funny! Her tests are a little hard, but it just requires studying of your notes.

One word-AMAZING! Great teacher, loves doing it. Very helpful and always has great stories. This is not a class to sleep through. Tests are a little challenging, but it's totally worth the effort. She really wants her students to do well. You will learn more in this class than all other business classes put together!

She's my favorite teacher. She really wants her students to do well and loves her job. Her tests are tough if you don't study, esp. some of the mult. choice and essays. Paper was challenging but I learned a lot. This has been my favorite business class. I'm a shy person, but in this class, I participate a lot because I want to, not b/c of a grade.

Leg and Soc was a fun class, much better than I expected it to be when I registered. I would definately recommend taking Noonan-Day for this class. She makes you not want to miss (which is a good thing because you would not do so well on the exams it you didn't attend lecture). Overall, a quality professor, and a great class that you learn alot in.

Nice lady, fun class, but when she tells you to read Buffalo Creek... READ BUFFALO CREEK! She IS capable of going ballistic if you don't!

Agree with all of the comments of the rating below. She is nice, but make sure you read Buffalo Creek AND know the fact, as she asks nit-picky little things. She expects you to know exact numbers in the discussion, such as how many inches of rain fell. Don't let this negative deter you from the class, other than that one day it has been GREAT.

She's great! she makes class fun to attend, and you learn a ton without even realizing it. i have taken so much from this class that will help me in my everyday life... definately take her... one of the best educators in this institution and she honestly cares about her students!

Noonan-Day is a very good professor, as can be demonstrated by her recent faculty of the year award!!! I would say more but apparently there is a conspiracy on this board to flag all of her ratings. I read all of the flagged ratings before they were flagged and none of them constituted libel or fell under the DO NOT category in the guidelines.

This has been my favorite class at UNI. I am going to hate not having this meeting to start my day. Heidi makes this class throughly enjoyable. It's like a 50-minute bull session, except you're actually learning A LOT, whether you know it or not. Go out of your way to take Leg & Soc with her - it will be well worth it.

Show up for class and take notes and you will be fine. Classes are alway very interesting and fly by in no time.

I absolutely love her! You need to go to class and take notes, but the classes are so interesting that you will want to go! She's my absolute favorite prof. Not too difficult if you put the time and effort into studying. If you have to take this class, get Noonan-Day!

HND is a great teacher! She is funny, nice, and is very good at teaching the subject matter. Seriously, this class was like a breath of fresh air in my day. Although I liked her and the class environment, I didn't care for the material itself. I did learn a lot, and it wasn't terribly difficult. Take her, you will be glad you did!

Fun class with reasonable expectations. No need to purchase textbook. Attend class daily and take good notes and you'll do well on the tests. Paper isn't that bad and you learn something from doing it.

No need to buy the book. Just go to class. She has class discussions that some find "meaningless," but they actually illustrate what she is trying to teach. Don't sweat the paper, as long as you put some effort into it, you'll get a good grade. I would highly recommend taking her class. It's a breath of fresh air, especially for a business class.

Noonan-Day is the best professor I have had while being at UNI for 3 years. Knows exactly how to teach and make it like were just talking. Love skipping normal classes but never missed hers once, if you don't take her, your loss!!

Leg of Soc. with her is the best class I have ever taken at UNI. It is important to go to class to get notes. The book is only important to get more indepth notes, but is useful to clarify topics. Her class is fun and interesting. This is probably my favortie class I have ever taken and I have been in college for 4 years. Study and TAKE HER!

Best class I have ever taken. Definitely take Legal and Soc Environment of Business from Heidi! She is awesome at explaining the material and there is never a dull moment. She will make you actually want to come to class.

Heidi is very personable and cares a lot about her students. She is entertaining and class is always enjoyable. She does not use Powerpoint or the overhead. She lectures straight from her mind/mouth, so it is sometimes difficult to follow. She tests on lectures not the book.

You have read a book about a flood disaster and the law case for it. Then you have to write a 5+ paper over a case she assigns you. Awesome teacher and is really good at it even though she's not technically a teacher. Best teacher ever and cares about all her students.

Heidi is so funny and such a great teacher for Leg and Soc!! She was a lawyer so she has a lot of great examples to share that apply! She curves each test. You have to read a short chapter book and a legal case then write a 5 page paper over the case. DON'T BUY THE BOOK!! Lectures on what will be on the test! The chapter book is in the library!

I enjoyed going to this class. There were always great discussions on current issues. She is very funny and engaging. Her tests are challenging, but she curves them. You have to put some effort into the term paper, but other than that it is a very enjoyable class. Make sure you show up and take notes, because that is the majority of the tests.

Her lectures are very interesting, and you learn quite a bit. That said, this class is not easy. Her exams are challenging and the term paper can be very time consuming. However, she does grade on a curve if that helps.

Students today think technology plays such an important role in learning, and Professor Noonan-Day completely disregards this. She utilizes her amazing speaking skills to get summarize a point concisely and accurately. Yes, she does lecture with a Powerpoint. She has also been teaching this class for close to 20 years, she knows what she's doing.

She was by far my favorite professor I have ever taken! She made coming to class very enjoyable with all of her stories and real world examples. She lectures off the top of her heard, making it hard to take notes, but find a study partner in the class and work together. I wish I could take her for all of my classes.

Very likable personality, and seems to genuinely enjoy teaching and spending time with students. She's very knowledgeable, but classes get off topic fast with discussion. Tests aren't easy, but if you come to class, pay attention and go over the notes it isn't hard to get a B or an A on them.

Prof Noonan Day is really invested in the students and their problems and interest. She gave us time to discuss our legal problems and offered free legal advice. As law can be discussed very much she always took time for discussion and listened to all our opinions and the legal cases. Exams were fair and with attendance easy to pass

Heidi is probably the best professor you will have at UNI!! She makes going to class enjoyable, like ACTUALLY enjoyable. Her tests are hard but she curves them so that helps a lot. I learned a lot in her class and she allowed me to think about things in a way i hadn't thought of before. Take her at all possible costs!!!!

I was having serious personal troubles outside of class at the beginning of the semester, and Heidi was far more helpful than the registrar, advisors and associate dean combined. She gave me valuable advise and even told me where to go to get help. Aside from that, her class was the most entertaining by far. I would recommend her class to anyone.

Heidi was great during class and she kept things interesting. I didn't struggle much in her class. I was disappointed with some of her promises. She said she would be available to talk to her students once you are out of her class. Do not count on that. I have reached out to her multiple times about different issues and she is not responsive.

Very enjoyable class, sometimes it feels almost pointless to go to class because of how off topic it can become. Tests are hard but curved, no homework, and non-comprehensive final. I would definitely take her again if I could.

This wan't a bad class but it was very poorly structured. You are graded based on 3 exams and a paper. She curves super hard but that's because her exams are hard. We sat in groups to read and discuss cases and spent class time reading which wasn't effective. Good class, bad structure.

My favorite class ever. She is super cool and caring. It's an interactive class where you can talk about any topic. It's a lot of note-taking, but it's not bad. The topics are interesting and will benefit you in the future. Class went by so fast because it was so nice and chill. I love her and would take her class 10 more times. HIGHLY recommend

I'm not going to lie, I didn't really like her at the start of the semester. As class went on though, she really proved to be one of my favorite professors I've ever had. Her class is never boring and if you show up and take notes you will do great on the tests. She really is a caring and awesome professor.

Noonan-Day is a real gem. Do whatever you can to take Leg & Soc with her and soak it all up. I genuinely looked forward to each and every class of her's because it is so engaging, and you will learn so much. I wish she taught more classes aside from leg & soc.

You can't go wrong with Noonan-Day. If you have been looking for a class to exchange educated discussions and arguments, this is it. She gives off a ton of information and her tests are difficult(and curved). Unless you're pre-law, the things you learn from this class will guide you for the rest of your life. i.e. "DON'T DO THAT!"

Tests are hard, but heavily curved. Test questions are 85% lecture, 15% textbook so take good notes. She never takes attendance, so if you miss class then get notes from someone else. Very fun and involved lectures.

Exams are based on her lectures but the textbook can help with specific cases. Lots of story telling to help understand the concepts used.

The only points are from exams, and exams are focused on stuff talked about in the lecture so definitely go to the lecture! You learn so much anyways it doesn't even feel like a chore to go. Her class is always so interesting, and she's so nice and easy to go to if you need help. I didn't read the book at all, so wouldn't recommend getting that

Heidi is my favorite professor that I have taken here at UNI. She cares so much for her students and it really shows. She is a great lecturer and is extremely knowledgeable about her content area because she has had so much experience. She uses her own personal cases as examples of class material and it really keeps class interesting! Loved Heidi!!

I think Noonan-Day was an okay professor, although if you want to do well on the tests you have to show up to class consistently. Even then, the test questions were so random you never knew what to expect. Thankfully, she curves the grades on them so you are more than likely going to do alright on them. Overall, she was a solid professor. Nice too.

Very fun class. Side topics talked about in class are on the exam, so attendance is important. The biggest problem for me was getting in contact with her. I'd emailed and Facebook messaged her many times and I would never get a response. I'd have to just talk to her after class to get what I needed sent to me.

Legal and Social Behavior was one of the best lecture courses I have taken because Heidi made it fun. She also curves very well for the tough exams. Highly recommend taking this course with her.

Loved Noon-Day. Period. Always had real life stories to incorporate into her lectures. She made class interesting. I recorded her lectures so I could go back and take better notes after class. The lectures are enjoyable in the sense that she strongly grasps participation from everyone. The lecture topics are interesting and she tries her best to keep the material relevant. She has strong opinions and it's important to not take things too personally with things she says. The class is very test heavy so studying weeks before is crucial.

Her class is fun but not for everyone. You need to show up to class and pay attention because everything is fair game for the test. It says a textbook is required but I personally do not think you need it, she will give you all the information needed for the tests. If you don't come to class or study you will not do good on the tests

Prof Noonan-Day teaches by talking and has no visuals to learn from, she is super entertaining and is very clear when you need to type something down. Unfortunately, her exams may cover stuff only mentioned in other sections or she forgot to mention, making attendance important and studying useless. She curves the tests.

Professor Noonan-Day was easily one of the best professors I have had at UNI it is pretty much all lecture but she keeps the lectures fun and interesting. The class is based on 3 tests which you will need to study for and should take in class notes as that will be what the test covers.

Heidi Noonan-Day is the best professor I've ever had. She created a fun and enriched learning environment that was discussed based. Three unit exams that are curved generously and four online discussions that are easy. It's safe to say I have never laughed that hard in a college course before! Sad she is retiring...

Professor Noonan-Day's lectures are engaging and thought-provoking. While the tests are challenging, studying hard and using resources like Unstuck study can help. Overall, an enjoyable class with a caring professor.
