Heidi makes math easy to understand. She is very often avialable after class or away from campus for questions of any kind. She is a great teacher.

Very helpful and cares about her students. Since she doesn't get aroused at the sound of her own voice like most instructors, she usually doesn't take up the entire 50 minutes with her lesson - leaving you time at the end to ask questions and get 1on1 help if you need it. Best math teacher at EvCC.

Heidi is the best math teacher I've ever had. She is very informal and personable, and definately makes Calculus easy to learn. She could teach rocket science to a chimpanzee. I INSIST you take her class if you get the chance.

Pretty good teacher. Makes sure everyone understands what is going on, strives to be a fair teacher. If you pay attention, you'll do well. Offers extra credit and the class is probably fairly easy compared to other Calculus classes, if you want to push yourself I'm not sure this is the class.

heidi is the best math teacher i've ever had. she is very clear in her lectures and explains topics extremely well, she actually made the 4 classes of calculus easy!! she also makes herself available outside of school in case you have a question over the weekend, you can contact her and she will answer. she also provides extra credit oppertunities to her students. i wish all my teachers were like heidi because she is a wonderful teacher.

I have to say that my first week in Heidi's class, I absolutely hated her. I thought that she was the must unhelpful teacher I had ever had. Luckily, I am now finished and think that she is the coolest math teacher at the college (though Wendy Houston is about equal). I would definitely recommend taking her class. I came into this class afraid of Math, and did not want to be there. Heidi has made my Math fun for me, which I did not expect at all. I felt that I was doomed to fail. Much to my suprise, I have received an A & B in the last two quarters with Heidi, and I am finding that Math is not so bad after all. She's made Math easy to understand for me.

She's straightforward and easy to understand. She is very clear with all of her examples, and she is approachable with math questions. If she's ever teaching another class, I'll be first in line to sign up. She's great!

Best teacher ever, Period. I can firmly guarantee that all of students who posted negative comments were either completely unteachable in math, or did not do their homework. Her tests are challenging, in that she does not dumb down the material so that anyone who merely attended class can get an A, but those who do all or most of the homework will.

She will give you all the help you need to succeed in Math. Gives lots of handouts to check where you are and where you stand in math. If you don't understand the material, she will make the time or make the time to help you. If you are afraid or apprehensive about math, she is the person to go to. Will take her again.

First of all, Heidi is adorable... it is refreshing to have her as an instructor... I've had her for calc 3 and now linear algebra... she's a very intelligent lady and guides you through the curriculum very well... if you don't miss class, you will do well... she really hits home what she expects you to know... it's no cake-walk but she's great

I thought stats would be easy but it was math heavy and you basically teach urself everything for the hybrid class.

I lucked out taking Math 138, 146, and 148 from Professor Weiss-Green! I highly recommend her teaching for anyone who finds math difficult but is driven to succeed. She hand-works every assignment and test given, immediately provides specific answers and feedback, and matches student investment stride for stride. Tough classes made enjoyable!

I took Heidi for two quarters. I am a poor math student and she gave me my best grades. I took her online and she always responded back pretty fast and would actually explain the math to me. I enjoyed her and would love to take her again.

Heidi is a really great professor, she gives really good feedback on the spot and will answer any questions given to her, takes time to learn names && thoroughly explains lesson plans in her lectures.

She is by far one of the most helpful instructors I have ever met. She is very nice and goes out of her way to help students. She provided plenty of extra credit opportunities and her final is worth just as much as the other tests (20% of grade). I saw her allowing students to take the tests late also, which just shows how much she cares :)

Heidi is definitely one of the best instructors I've ever had at EVCC. Math is hard as it is, but she makes it make sense. I have a disability and she was really good about reaching out to me and seeing how I was doing. Downside is that most of her classes are at the Monroe campus, but it's definitely worth it.

Heidi is the best math teacher I've ever had! She's super helpful and gives plenty of opportunity to make sure you understand the material before you're tested on it. She lets you work with other people, ask as many questions as you need, and use whatever learning method is best for you. Also a total sweetheart who puts stickers on tests.

She really wants you to pass. So helpful! Notes are allowed in some areas. This is an extremely difficult class but I think Taking her makes it so much better. Very great review period and gives extra review period for exam.

I needed to take statistics for my program and I was absolutely dreading it. Heidi is an absolute gem though. She genuinely cares about your success and sets you up to succeed. The class is difficult but she is entirely fair and her style of teaching is helpful and constructive.

Took Statistics over the summer as a hybrid course, it was pretty tough, but Heidi is great with explaining information and quick to answer questions via email.

I've taken Heidi for Pre-calc and Statistics. She does her absolute best to help you understand the material, all the while maintaining accessibility outside of class at nearly all hours. Would recommend 100% for anybody struggling with math, or anybody who wants a great instructor.

Among my favorite teachers, she clearly cares about your success and helping you pass. Attendance advisable - she makes it as enjoyable as such a topic can be, for what that's worth. (my grade reflects on me, not her, I assure you - math ain't my favorite subject. She ain't givin' grades away lol)

She goes into depth on each chapter which is very helpful for the tests, you get one page of notes. She was always available after class and via email to help with questions I got stuck on.

This teacher is VERY generous with partial credit on tests. You can tell she wants everyone to do well. She even gives out an answer sheet after exams so you can see what you did wrong. She also gives a few extra credit assignments, which is super helpful. She's very bubbly and funny. I am not the biggest fan of math, but she made it fun.

Heidi is probably the best professor I have had in the past 2 years of college. She will always answer any questions you have and walk you through each problem step by step. She also offers extra credit, but you have to attend class to get it so make sure you are there.

Absolutely love Heidi, she is amazing and SO sweet. She is really great at explaining things and clarifying anything you dont understand. She gives extra credit and allows 1 page notes plus any handouts she gives you in class for the tests. She will still give you partial credit on tests if you get the answer wrong but show your work.

Heidi is AMAZING! Very quick to respond to emails. Book and online HW are due the day of test, and she always gives extra time for tests. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I'd recommend on going. I missed two days the whole quarter and I felt so lost doing the HW on my own. DO NOT wait to start the HW, it'll catch up to you real quick...

Hands down one of the best professors ever. She cares about her students & wants everyone to understand before moving on. There were 2 exams and homework on each chapter. Attendance is not mandatory, but you'll fall behind FAST. Near the end of the quarter, she had giveaways and she was planning on bringing pizza one day but COVID-19 got in the way

She was a pretty good teacher, I took her online class so but even in such a limited environment she clearly did her best to help students. A decent amount of homework, probably about 4-5 hours per week. Made lectures for almost every chapter that covered a good portion of the content. Gave a week to finish each quiz with very few quizzes overall.

She is amazing! I had her from Calc 1- 3 and want to take her for calc 4. It's asynchronous but is good with OH and records videos of her doing examples. She answers emails super quick & works really hard to make sure you know the material. ASK & KEEP ASKING if stuck. Not judgmental and cares a lot about her students. My favorite math teacher yet!

I took MATH096 as an online course, and I never felt unsupported by Heidi. She is so caring and reaches out to each of her students weekly just to check-up. She's always accessible and is just such a helpful and understanding woman. The course work was very reasonable and accessible, and she eased so much anxiety I had about how bad I am at math:)

This class does have a TON of homework including book work that you need to send in and show work for. Heidi is always available; she even was communicating and helping me on Thanksgiving! She grades fairly and takes the time to go through our work in order to give points back on exams since they are all online. Best teacher ever!

Heidi is very caring and funny! You don't have to turn in homework until exam day. There are only 3 exams. Exams are 70% and there is online homework and textbook homework each are worth 15%. She gives extra credit but you have to be in class she doesn't tell you when. Overall I liked her and definitely would take another course of hers.

Heidi is a great professor! She is kind, encouraging, and helpful. She has set office hours twice a week and is responsive to emails. There is book and MyMathLab homework, but all the repetition helped me remember the material. I look forward to taking another class with her.

Very sweet and flexible teacher. An overall easy class. Endless chances on homework. Medium difficulty questions exams. Self-paced class btw!! The one problem with her teaching is once the math gets higher level people complain her lectures suck at helping you understand the topics. So a great person but not the best professor later on.

Heidi posts videos for every lesson you need to complete. There is online and paper homework, but both are relatively easy. She allows notes while taking tests as well as the use of a formula sheet. She consistently reaches out to make sure everything is going well too. Overall the best math teacher I've had.

Heidi was an amazing professor! I took her for Calc I & II. Exams are 80% of your grade, but she is a very generous grader, often giving partial credit. HW includes textbook and online - she provides her answer key for textbook. Plus, there is extra credit for exams (3%+ on score). HW took ~8 hrs a week. Responds quick to emails, even on weekends!

I took Heidi over the summer. A lot of homework - so don't take this class in the summer unless you have time. On average I dedicated 25 - 27 hours a week. Put the work in, and you'll do well. Heidi was one of the best professors I have had in my student career. She is kind, cares and extremely accessible. She truly wants her students to succeed.

As long as you stay on top of the math, its super easy. There's an online platform used to do some of the homework, the rest is out of the textbook, you can buy a quarter pass for the online stuff and access the textbook from there as well. Lectures are very well done, I'd recommend taking notes as you watch. She's super sweet, would take again.

Heidi's MATH141 class can be challenging but rewarding. Her lectures are clear and she's happy to help. Staying on top of the extensive homework is key - using resources like Unstuckstudy and the textbook made a big difference for me. Overall, a good class if you're willing to put in the work.

Was a nice teacher, every day is a new topic because the summer quarter was two times the speed. Two finals, which were easy. ALOT OF DAILY WORK IT WAS A PAIN. But other than that, she was alright. Each topic had a video lecture, so it was how you learned.
