Awesome lady. I learned a lot, but there wasn't a ton of outside work and she was a pretty easy grader. As long as you did stuff you got an A. I would highly recommend her.

Heike Flood is by far the most amazing and genuine person that I have ever had the oportunity to meet. Taking her class was a blessing. She understands students at the college level and knows how we are. She has great expectations for her students, but she grades and critiques based on individual development. I wish all teachers could be as good.

I had Ms. Flood for Public Oral Communication aka speech. She was my favorite teacher so far. She makes a topic that most people dread, very bareable. We had 4 speeches, 1 of which was a group speech. It was pretty easy, requiring little effort. The reading isn't really necessary, the powerpoints cover most of it. I actually enjoyed the class!!

Ms. Flood is great. It is easy to relate to her and she makes you feel comfortable speaking in front of others. Not to mention she's good looking and energetic. Take her if possible.

On the first day of class, she'll tell you that this class is your family. It sounds cliche, but it is absolutely true. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had and I have had some great ones. She makes going to class so fun! You get to pick your speech topics, which is nice. If you're taking CST 110, don't take it with anyone else!

Best Teacher Ever. I had her for uwl 100 and knew I needed a override to get in her class and it was worth it. Very fun, and laid back. Very understanding and cares about your education. I hate speaking in front of people but she really helps make it easy for you. midterms arent hard either, just use the study guide. A-class.

Two tests, one or two quizes. One speech and a partner presentation. You will be forced to participate but its a lot of fun

Super easy and really fun teacher. You only have to give 1 speech by yourself and 1 with a group. Would definitely recommend over any other speech teacher in the united states.

You never really know what to expect each class time. After the first day I was all like oh i'm going to hate this but it ended up being one of my favorite classes. She is an extremely nice person and it seems as though she really cares for her students, plus she cancels randomly.

Heike is awesome! She is an easy grader, extends due dates, and the note taking is minimum. For my class we only had to give one speech by ourselves and the other two were in groups. So if you are terrified of public speaking I highly recommend taking her!

Hands down the best professor I've had at UWL. She cares about her students and she also wants to make the class fun. She is open to suggestions about what you want out of the class and will actually take it into consideration. You need to do the work of the class, but she is an easy, fair grader. This was actually one of my favorite classes this semester. The speeches (3) are not bad. The quizzes are easy if you go to lecture, participate in the activities and skim the chapters she assigns. She is the sweetest professor and care a lot about her students. So glad I took this general ed course with her.

Really good professor, cares about her students a lot! The speeches and quizzes are all relatively easy if you show up for class. She's kind of a scatter brain and is terrible with technology so she takes way to long to grade things. I'd still recommend taking her though, she's a fun teacher.

Heike is a nice lady, but a little over the top sometimes. She makes the class easy enough, but not tremendously easy. You still have to earn your grade. Overall though, nice teacher. I would recommend.

Dr. Hunter is a wonderful professor but is also like a mother to her students. You can tell she really cares about her students' success and tries to help in any way she can. The speeches (3) are not incredibly difficult and the quizzes just require reading the book. Overall the class is a lot of fun and I would definitely suggest Dr. Hunter!

I love Heike! She is amazing. She sets you up to succeed. She is always there for you if you need help on a quizspeech. Heike teaches you as if you are equals and also gets to know you. I had 3 speeches. 1 Informative, 1 Group and 1 Persuasive. She gave us plenty of time to complete these and will work with you if you fail to complete it on time.

Best teacher I have had at UW-La Crosse. Yes this is a speech class and I was dreading it but not after the first day when I met Heike. She literally gives you lessons about life and is like a mother. It doesn't even feel like you are in speech class and I am definitely way more comfortable talking in front of people. She makes you feel comfortable and welcomed in class. She also has a really outgoing attitude which makes it very easy to talk to her as well as in front of the class.

She is SO helpful and made a class that i would usually dread so much fun!!! She cracks a lot of jokes and relates the lectures to the students well. She was one of my favorite teachers. 3 speeches total and one is with a group.

Dreaded taking this class but Heike made it a fun and interesting course, there's only three quizzes and three speeches which isn't to bad. Very lenient on grading your speech. As long as you meet the requirements you will get at least a B in the class

Heike was the best prof. Iv'e had all semester. Even though I was really dreading taking a speech course because of my anxiety, she worked with me and encouraged me through it. She is hilarious and treats you like you matter. I love that her lectures are more of a discussion and she cares about what you are thinking and your views. Take her!

She is very friendly, If you can't make it to class don't worry. As long as you show up on speech day you will do fine. She I very helpful if you need it. She is funny, if your class looks bored she will wrap it up and call it quits early (I took a later class). Grading is not hard! Take her!

The class is made up of 3 speeches. One is informative, one is persuasive, and one is a group presentation for 20 minutes. You don't get a lot of time to work on the speeches but she is a VERY EASY grader. Only 1 midterm test and it's the only time you use the textbook. Fun activities throughout the class and she is extremely nice. HIGHLY recommend

Says that you can only miss up to three classes and is going to take attendance every class, but after like two weeks she stopped taking attendance and I know so many people that missed more than 3 classes and it didn't matter. Final exam was online which was very nice. It was my favorite class because she is such an amazing professor!

Heike was AMAZING!! I wish I could take another class with her. There are 3 speeches, and she doesn't give you much warning after the first one, so be prepared and don't be surprised if a whole speech is due the next week. Super easy grader and super friendly. I highly HIGHLY recommend Heike :)

I implore you to use the techniques provodied in conjunction with preparation and lots of practice and you'll not only succeed but feel great about your accomplishments. I was very nervous about taking a speech class, but Professor Hunter made it so much less stressful for me. There were two individual speeches, as well as one group speech. The final is online too. Professor Hunter really cares about her students and only wants the best for them. Once you get past the first speech, you'll realize it's not so bad.

Heike is fantastic. She is hilarious and makes all of her lectures super interactive. Great feedback on every speech and her requirements were laid out very nicely. Watch out for the midterm and final, you really need to study the textbook (although they were online which helped a lot).

Heike's class was my favorite this semester. Hardest parts are the midterm and final, just read the textbook chapters from the study guide and you'll be fine. Gives opportunities for extra credit often. Class got done early almost every day. Genuinely cares about her students and encourages them to visit in office hours even if it's just to chat.

She was disorganized which made the class more difficult, but if you asked about due dates and any questions regarding the work she was willing to help. The class has three speeches, four quizzes, and a final. Study the textbook for the quizzes and final and you'll do fine.

There's only 3 speeches and 3-4 quizzes. My only complaint is the quizzes were worded tricky and harder than I thought they were going to be so make sure to study for those!
