Dr. Burroughs is one of the best Harper college Psychology teachers. She's clear and understanding and fun to listen to. Her class was filled with laughter and fun videos and the material was a breeze. No homework, one easy final paper on an article.

This teacher is simply awsome, so don't think twice and pick her. Had psych 101 with her, if you are thinking about taking psych 216 with her I would also recommend it although she will not let you finish the final unless you have a B on it.

She's so sweet. PSY101 was pretty easy for me anyway but even the students that had a hard time with it did well. She has an amazing way of just making people understand. She's very approachable so ask as many questions as you have!

you learn a lot of material in this class, but she will tell you exactly what to study for the tests. if you pay attention and study exacatly what she tells you and study it well, you will do fine. she is the best teacher i've ever had! i will never forget her!

This is an awesome teacher. She has renewed my faith in my chosen proffesion. I have felt lately like I couldn't make it in the field, but she has made me feel better about it. This is the teacher you must take :) One of the two best at Harper :)

I took her 101 and 216 course-she is AWESOME! There is no homework-maybe twice for both classs all together. She does lecture-but it is always interesting. She goes over EVERYTHING that will be on each test-so there are no surprises. Just take notes, study with some note cards, and show up to class. EASY A! loved her!

Dr. Burroughs is an amazing teahcer! She is always there to help if you need it, and she tells you everything straight out. Best teacher ever! Only three tests in the class and she let us decide if we wanted to take the third one. The final is sooo easy. It's a little time consuming, but easy and she lets you redo it if you did bad. She's so nice and she has a bunch of fun stories to tell. Definitely take her class!

she is my favorite teacher. psy is not the hardest class but there's something about her love for it that makes you get into the subject as well. she give amazing lectures and i to this day remeber them all- there are 3/4 tests and seldom do you recieve homework. there's one paper to write but its a guarranteed 100% if you follow the guidelines

Honestly, this is one of the best professors in the department of Psychology to take. I've had her twice, and I've had A's in her class, she's more than willing to help you, and you WILL do well in her class. Just take notes and study those -- and you're good to go. Highly recommended!

Dr. B is not only a wonderful teacher, but an amazing person. Her experience in the field lends to stories that directly correlate to the lessons being taught. The book is sometimes used for illustration purposes and for homework every now and again. Small class size lends to better understanding of material. I suggest her class over lecture halls.

A teacher who goes over what we need to know on the test the class before, is my kind of teacher! She is a sweet lady. Knows a lot about children considering she was in pediatrics. You need the textbook to take online quizzes.

She usually has a lot of online homework but it didn't work out for the semester I took it. So she just lectured and if you just memorized all the notes from the lecture, you were set for the test. She likes to use her experiences from being a nurse as examples, which was interesting and helpful. Final is writing a 4-5 page paper.

THE easiest class I've ever taken. Ms. Burroughs is a very genuine lady, with a great passion for teaching Psychology. All you have to do is come to class with the study guide (which she provides for each chapter) answers (that's your participation) and those same questions are on the test! The tests were super duper easy if you did the study guide

She is amazing; has personal experience in what she talks about. Most of the grades are from test which aren't difficult if you pay attention in class. Meets with each student individually for the one simple paper assignment. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities and is very understanding if you just communicate with her.

I took her for PSYCH101 and she was phenomenal. Had to take her the following semester for 216! GREAT teacher. The only thing is you really have to listen to her lectures because she doesn't have printed handouts or anything. Gives you many opportunities for extra credit. I am taking her Abnormal Psychology course online and it's super easy! One chapter test and one discussion question are due each week. Overall an interesting class. She also gives many extra-credit opportunities so there's no way you can't get an A.

I took Dr. Burroughs for 101, and HAD to have her again. She is the reason i changed my major to Psychology. She will prep you for a 300 level course. She is fantastic when i comes to helping her students. Her lectures are amazing, you get everything you could need to be prepared. She is by far the best Professors i have had at Harper.

Dr Helen Burroughs was my favorite professor in 2nd semester by a long shot. The subject really interests me so that helps her case, but from the moment she walked in the class I really liked her. She is very bubbly, friendly, and very rarely gets mad. Except when you use your phone in class, she will tell you to put it away and may kick you out

She is one of my favorite teachers at Harper! I would take any of her classes and would know that I would enjoy them. She makes her lectures interesting and engaging. It was very easy and fun to learn from her. She gives you a study guide for every test which has almost everything you need to study. She is always willing to help

I took the blended course, and it was great since I only had to go to class once a week, which is nice during the summer. This class will be good for any students who either wants to learn the subject as a non-psych major or just wants an easy A.

I'm a 19 year old male and Helen is one of the best professor's I had. She is very funny, easy going, and makes class interesting. If you do the homework then you should not get anything less than a B in the class. Lectures are more interesting than any other lectures I've been through.

Helen was such a laid back, easy going, sweet professor. Always have your book with you you'll go off the book a lot. You only have one major paper which is super easy to pass. There's a lot of note taking. But overall, great professor easy class.

A gifted lecturer, she communicates the principles of psychology in an engaging and straightforward manner, using examples and short films that elucidate instead of just use up class time. The class is well crafted; you'll be lucky to take it from her.

Dr. Burroughs is one of the best professors I have had so far. She is very passionate about psychology and shows it. The tests she gives are easy as long as you are paying attention during her lectures. She is an old school teacher; nothing is done online. She is also very caring and has a huge heart! I highly recommend taking her class.

This is probably the best class I have taken. It was super easy if you just show up and pay attention to the lectures you will pass with an A. Dr. Burroughs is amazing. I took her online abnormal psych class, and I met with her the first week of the semester just to go over the syllabus. She was incredibly helpful and always responds to emails. Follow the syllabus, do what she asks, and you'll get an A.

I took her online PSY 101 class and it was one the best classes. It is definitely not an easy A. You have to put a lot of your time in class work but she made it very easy. Her quizzes and tests were easy as long as you did the study guides or read the book. I would take her again if I had the chance.

Being an online class, there is heavy reading and heavy note taking. Prof. Burroughs care about the students' success and she will help you, ask ask her! Offers extra credit and she's great at responding to emails! BEST online teacher I ever had. I would definitely take her again! Truly understanding yet firm.

I would totally recommend her as a professor. She is very down to earth to her students and will understand your situation if given at a reasonable amount of time. Her lectures are based of the book but she will through in key terms or a spot where she wants you to become familiar with. She gives out ec at times but lets class leave early.

Super nice. She can be a little intimidating at first, but after a few classes you'll begin to love her class. Always makes sure everyone is on track, repeats a lot so you don't miss anything. She is so excited about teaching psych and has so much passion for it. Be prepared to laugh a lot in class because she loves to tell stories and jokes

This was my type of online class. Very clear on what was needed to pass. Graded on study guides, quizzes, and tests. As long as you do the work and put in the effort on the study guides you will pass with an A, no problem!

I took this professor online & absolutely loved her! If you are not responsible enough or good at self control do NOT take online courses in general. You must be on Blackboard at least 2-3 times a week. Discussion board each week, small quiz each Thursday on chapter, and one cool project at the end of semester. Go visit her to get to know her!

I loved her! she is one of the best professors I have taken. Showing up to class that is the only way you will pass 100%. I studied 2 hours before every exam and got an A on all of them. she is so sweet and down to earth, very inspiring and amazing. take her!

She was great! I had her online class, but she was so easy to meet up with in her office and very accessible. highly recommend taking her class, whether online or in class. There were weekly discussion posts(actually do the work, it'll be graded) and there are online quizzes to complete as well. There is also a very interesting project at the end

If you want to actually learn, I wouldn't take her. The coursework took me 45 minutes a week to finish. Just do the work and tests and you are good.

One of the easiest A's of my life! The class is 14 tests, 20 points each (I never scored lower than a 16 and MOST ANSWERS ARE ONLINE)! 12 discussion boards, 8 points each (I got 8/8 points on every discussion board,) and 2 crossword puzzles. She makes this class impossible to fail, and the material is extremely interesting!!!

No final/midterm because she gives you weekly chapter quiz and test which was 16 in all, and 10 discussions questions. Gave great feedback on DQ. Paper was extra credit. Take her.

During the whole semester, there wasn't a single time that I was bored in her class. Everything from lectures, examples, and homework to test reviews is perfect. There is some extra credit. Great professor! She really cares about her students she will make sure you pass as long as you come to class. She gives extra credit for coming to class but if you miss she takes off points. She doesn't have her notes online or in the screen she just lectures.

Dr. Burroughs is an outstanding professor. Her feedback is awesome and she chooses to emphasize subjects that are not only interesting, but informative. If you want to do well in her class, read the textbook. It's actually a really good book, it's not a dry read. I wish she offered more classes, but that's my only critique of hers. Def. recommend!

Easiest A I've had in a class-- ever. - All material available day one, clearly organized. - About 2 quizzes a week, which have endless retakes. - 1 test a week. have your browser open and you can look up all the answers you need on google/quizlet. - 2 informal single page "essays", no final exam. - Loads of extra credit.

She is very good when lecturing. She gives extra credit. No final exam. Test and quizzes are not that hard. Textbook is required. I learned a lot in her class.

Professor Burroughs was one of the best profs I've had. I took her Psych101 class online and even through a computer I could feel how caring she is of her students. Always gave honest and encouraging feedback. Our class structure was quizzes about a chapter on Monday and Tuesdays then test on Wednesdays on those chapters. LOADS of EC opportunities

I was on the edge of a D,but Dr boroughs understood that I was trying my hardest and attending class and she gave us extra credit so that helped,overall very sweet and caring and she really wants to see you succeed

I took her course over the summer and it was online. It is pretty much based on tests and quizzes. Some questions are super challenging but nothing impossible. I definitely recommend taking this course if you just need some credits to fill in.

She is a great teacher online very straightforward and simple. There are no lectures but the test is open notes. This course was an 8-week course if I'm being honest it was the easiest class I took online. I recommend to take it online because it was simple. I probably put in 3 hours of work a week and got an A and she offers extra credit.

for 7 weeks we had a discussion question due each monday, which was a short essay on your thoughts about a certain psychological phenomenon. shes not a harsh grader so as long as you follow whats asked youll get as on those. besides that there was a quiz due each tuesday and test due each wednesday. as long as you do your reading itll be easy

Prof. Burroughs gives great feedback. There is a short answer discussion board for the first few weeks, a quiz due every Tuesday, and a test due every Wednesday. The work is pretty easy, but you have to stay on top of it. The quizzes & tests close at 3pm, so be careful. I missed two quizzes on accident, which made me lose a bunch of points.

I took this class over the summer. I was able to get ahead before a vacation. It is accelerated over the summer (2 chapters each week with a quiz and a test from each chapter). Once you read the chapter, highlight/take notes then it's fairly easy. However, it's good to make sure you know the important things on each page. Great Teacher!!

Professor Burroughs class was a breeze. Although there is a lot of reading, its not overwhelming and the quizzes are very straight forward from the text. Also, she offers multiple(easy) ways to earn extra credit. I would recommend her to anyone needing to complete this course.

I took this as a summer class without knowing what to expect but was delighted to find that the class was very interesting which encouraged me to read the textbook and complete the study guides she provided. If you want to pass this class you must be ready to study the textbook and do the work. Its an easy class to pass if you put in the time.

gives easy extra credit opportunities, but she actually dives deep into them so don't try and make it simple. easy class you practically teach yourself if ur online. no lecture/videos. you read chapters and take tests only 1 essay, easy stuff. only bad thing is everything is due at 3pm M,T,W which suckz!

Dr is by far the best professor you will run into in your college career. She gets busy quick and makes sure you learn what is important. Most of all she is heavy test/quiz based which means she does not waste your time by making you do busy work.

Easy class as long as you do the assignments. Assignments are optional study guides, 2- 15 question quizzes & 1- 25 question test every week. As long as you do the study guide, you will get an A. Very simple. There is also about 32 points of extra credit. Class relies on the textbook heavily. Very good prof. for asynch. Blackboard is well organized

Dr. Burroughs is outstanding! Most of the class consists of 9 tests, 16 quizzes, and 1 essay. You get as many attempts as you'd like to complete the quizzes, but you only get one shot on the tests. Most of the questions from the tests are from the quizzes. The answers are all in your textbook. Do your work, read the textbook, and you'll be fine.

Easy class with a reasonable amount of work. Just do the tests on time or your grade will drop because of late penalties.

Amazing professor true knowledge on psychology. Took her class about 5 years ago and to this day she is just one of those teachers that you never forget. Had a lot of really amazing real life stories that hooked you in. If you want to learn the subject which arguably is one of the most useful tools in any field or life in general.. take her class.

I took Professor Burroughs for 230 and 101. If anyone is contemplating taking her, I don't think I could recommend her enough. She is very clear and thorough on her expectations for the class while also being very realistic. She offers 3 different sources of extra credit which is very helpful. She gets back to you fairly quickly. 10/10 recommend.

This class is very very easy. If you need a class that will be light take this one. Quizzes and Tests are all that's graded and is open note open book. The professor is also very chill but just make sure you finish the quizzes by 11:59 pm the following Tuesday and the exams by 11:59 pm the following Wednesday or else you'll lose a lot of points.

Very easy to follow the class. You need to be able to give yourself time to get homework completed though. I lost points because I wasn't always able to complete tests or quizzes by deadlines.
