Mrs. Carona is a great teacher. She explains the math very clearly and goes over everything until everyone understands it. She is open to questions and will help students as much as possible.

She was one of those teachers that goes out of her way to help. She has a good teaching style and is very nice. The class was easy as long as you did your homework just like every math class. Take her!!!!

Take her! I have always done poorly in math but I actually made an A in her class. Do your homework, she takes any questions at the beginning of class, works through everything on the board, and makes things understandable. I've registered for her for my next math. Great professor, highly recommended!

I took her math 161 class and I have been trying to get in another class of hers ever since... so, if you get the chance Go For It! I actually learned things in her class, and I was able to correspond that with stuff in other classes.

VERY GOOD TEACHER!! but make sure to do your homework, she doesnt check it, but doing the assigned homework will almost guarantee you a good grade. I highly recommend her!!

SHe is really amazing. I have a mathematical learning disorder called discalculus. took her before I was diagnosed-so no special help-and still got a "c." Just be sure to do all the work. Highly recommend!

I loved this teacher. i am an accounting major, so it might have come easier to me than to most, but i found that she took baby steps when explaining problems. i got an A in her class, and have referred her to all of my friends. i don't think you'll be disappointed.

She does fly through the material, but her explanations are clear and thorough. She tells you exactly how it's going to be on the test. The book is easy to understand, but I don't recommend missing class. She actually made math enjoyable and easy.

Mrs.Carona is an awesome teacher. I made a D in advanced math my senior year of high school and came out of her class with an A and understanding Math. She helped me understand math and I recommend her to everyone!

She is a great teacher. I struggle in math and still came out with a B in the class. She actually cares if you understand or not. don't miss even one class. The subject material in difficult but she will help and gives BONUS

She teaches the material as clearly and simply as she can. If you still do not understand she will explain it a different way. She does give bonus at the end of the semester and will allow to make up your lowest test grade on the last day of class.

excellent teacher! she explains things very well. she's willing to set office hours aside to help you. her tests are straight forward and she gives you a lot of opportunity for bonus. just make sure you do the homework b/c that can either REALLY help or hurt your grade.

She was very helpful and if your on your game she cuts your early. i learned so much from her and i even missed a few classes. im not sure on my grade yet, but make SURE your study fro your tests. that is where i messed up.

she's awesome. syllabus clarify specifically what she plan on covering throughout the semester. she moves some what fast when she teach but that's all 155 and which is why she have office hours. she want you to learn it and pass math. she cares if you care.

to address the comment I just left, she moves at a fast pace, but this semester she did slow down alot! if you are still struggling with the fact that she moves fast, go to the math lab, you pay for it so go it to. don't be lazy and blame it on her. this is not High school.

Very good teacher. Everyone is right in saying she goes fast, but all you have to do is ask a question and she will slow down to answer it. alot of homework, but they are an easy 10 pts, just do it all. def. helps at test time. HW due once a week. Willing to help. Math is not my strong area at all and I hate it, but she makes it somewhat enjoyable.

She was helpful when I was paying attention.. I kinda of taught myself in the math lab with the helpers.. We did workbook for a total of 10pts some class periods.. She is a nice teacher though

She is an ok teacher, but had limited time. So she had to teach it really fast, but she was good about helping and i even went to her other class sometimes to relearn the material. I would take her again if I could.

Ms. Carona is very helpful! Shes fast (like every math teacher), but will slow down to answer any questions. She stays on a problem until everyone understands it. Quizzes and tests are somewhat difficult but are all on course compass. She works out examples on course compass for further understanding of the work. Would recommend completely!

Bc I took the act a very ling time ago and my score wasn't good enough for them now, 15 yrs later, I had to take 155. Her husband taught me in high school and I loved them both. I am good at math, and I still didn't find the class boring. Awesome teacher!

I'm taking Mrs. Carona for Calculus and she's the most effective math teacher I have ever have. The way she is so organized with her typed notes and makes you do homework for a grade helps ensure you will learn the material. Very helpful and understanding. Good character also! Take her!

Carona is a nice lady but I wish I would have taken someone else for math 163. I ended up dropping the class, and I'm not bad at math because I easily made an A in 162. I know this can be a tough class anyway, but she goes really quickly and it may be hard for some people

GREAT! Her tests came exactly from her notes, well organized and good at teaching and i struggle in math. Plus she grades homework which helps with bringing a low grade up. She does not give points for attendance which is the only negative side. Id recommend her to anyone who struggles even if she teaches a little fast.

She teaches really fast and you can easily get left behind. She does pause to take questions. You must do HW everyday to keep up. This class was hard to me, but with detrmination I pulled a D to a B. She lets you retake te lowest test grade. If you are not a quick learner take someone else.

Carona is a very entertaining teacher. Even though the material is boring, she tries very hard to make it exciting. She uses a lot of hands on techniques to help better understand the material.

LOVE carona. I love math so I figured this class would be boring since it's elementary school material. She brings in hands-on activities to help you understand how the children will be feeling. Makes you feel like you learned something after you levee class each day. I'm taking her again for 168.

I like her as a person. She is a bit scatter brain and not too helpful when you need her. I'm indifferent about her. However, compared to the rest she is great.

I loved Mrs. Carona. Her notes were printed and all you had to do was fill in with examples and notes. I liked the online homework and online quizzes, because it gives you an easy A in those categories. Her tests are challenging and does require studying beforehand. The exam is departmental and very challening. Overall, I would recommend her.

I really enjoyed her class, but I also really love math and education. But I did miss an in class project ( I had the flu and was out with a Dr. Excuse) and I emailed her I would be absent and I would have a note but she didn't let me turn it in. And I got a zero on it. She gives good reviews before the test. And you have like 4 group projects.

She reads these reviews and saw she goes fast, and still went too fast. I think the problem is that when she stops writing, she immediately goes to the next problem while the class is still writing, so we're always playing catchup. Her examples are awesome. If you know the examples, you will do fine on the tests. Tests are partially mult choice

I took Carona because I heard she's one of the best math teachers at SELU. Her class is very hard at first, but I feel like it gets easier towards the end. Lets you retake lowest test score. I had a C all semester and ended up making an A towards the end. Don't give up and don't miss class!

She talks really fast, but if you ask her to slow down she will. She does group projects that are hard, but she puts the toughest questions in the group project so they aren't on the test.

If you're unsure about something or didn't get something, all you have to do is ask her to slow down or show it again, and she will. She does reviews before every single exam so you know exactly what to study. She gives group projects which are pretty tough.

She gives notes that you follow along with in class and fill out and work the problems. Her notes are a lot easier than what is on the Pearson online test and homework. She is very sweet and tries her best to work with the program.

I love Mrs Carona. She is a really great math teacher. She is available through email and responds quickly, she also is very understanding when it comes to missing class. Show up for the lecture with your notes printed from mathxl, try your hardest, and do the work, you'll make an easy A. Four tests, group projects, quizzes, and xl homework.

Many people struggled in this class, but I took good notes and did fine. She tells you what problems are on the test, and she often just changes the numbers for those problems. Class is important to attend so you can see the way she wants you to solve it for the test. Take her if you are willing to put in the work!

Professor Carona is a good pick for a college algebra-level class. There is a lot of homework and online quizzes. I had classes on M/W/F, all of which were mandatory. Her policy for late work is strict, most cannot be made up if missed. The exams for the class were all in person and proctored, making up over half of your grade. Final exam optional.

She is honestly probably one of the better math professors. If you have questions she is very open to answering them. Considering this course is made up by the math department and she can't change the course work. She seems to care about us getting a good grade in this class.

She is a great professor, but math is mat, and if you do not do the work or don't show up to class you will fall behind. She goes into great detail about each subject and makes it easy to learn, just gotta show up to class.

Mrs. Corona is very nice and tries her best to help you understand the info. Attendance isn't mandatory but getting the notes in class will help you so much. This class is just aggravating and a lot of work but that has nothing to do with Corona.
