If you take Nutrition, take her from her!!! She is THE BEST TEACHER I have ever had!! It's a hard class, but stick it out because it's totally worth it. She has lots of energy too, and brings it to her lectures. It's fun. :-) She uses powerpoint slides and describes them very well - I recommend you printing them out cuz it's really helpful!

A little bit out there and over the top at times.
Helen DeMarco is an outstanding professor! She's filled with energy and definately isnt BORING. she is really engaged in her lectures. quiz, exams, midterm, and final are all multiple choice. Attend class, print powerpoint lectures, take notes, do all diet projects and you will do fine!! she also gives extra credit sometimes, take advantage of it!
Highly recommend taking a class with her, she's a very nice lady but a little cooky and out there. The class is pretty easy but there is a lot of material you need to understand, if you study and take notes you should do well.
Disregard the previous post about her going too fast- this class is easy and entertaining. If you go to her office, she will explain in DETAIL what you need to know. She's empathetic and willing to help those that seek it. My only criticism is that she went TOO slow and we could have easily covered more material.
Loved, loved, loved this professor. She made an interesting subject even more interesting. If you came to class, listened and took notes, it's an easy A. Super enthusiastic and entertaining. She offers interesting diet assignments and extra credit. So much so that I got an A+. Highly recommend her!
Pretty good teach. A touch wacky, keeps the lectures interesting. She doesn't use the text for much, other than reference. If you attend the class, you can pass on the text. Her Power Points are available through WebCT and the bulk of the lecture/tests come from those. She does toss in a little extra in lecture though. Good professor, good class.
She's fun. If you read and attend class regularly the exams are easy. I just wish DVC offered more nutrition classes so I could take her again.
Shes eccentric so look out for that but all in all shes a good teacher. The material was difficult but if you read and really listen to her lectures you can get out with an A
Took her last sem cus it was a prereq for my major and got an A. Im warning you now, it is a BORING SUBJECT. The book is poorly organized which will add another hour or two to your studying time just to find the answers on the study guide she gives you. Master the study guide and you have an A. Diet Analysis project was easy, BS IT HAHA!
Just the sweetest teacher ever. She's always smiling and energetic, so you'll never fall asleep in her class. Sometimes I'd be having a rough day from my previous classes but I'd feel better when I got to her class.
If you like teachers with bright, cheerful, energetic dispositions, you'll love her classes!
awesome class! she kept things interesting and energetic. i would highly recommend her especially if you have an interest in nutrition.
great teacher! highly recommend her. shes super funny and energetic. you dont use the textbook, like at all. Just study her powerpoints hardcore and go to all the lectures and youll get an A
To say the least, this was the most... "interesting" class I had. No joke she's energetic, and rather eccentric. She'll do a lot for a laugh - but she uses lots of extra cred q's on the test that can raise you from a B to an A, so that was cool.
Really nice lady, enthusiastic and eccentric. One time she made a dance to some cheesy cheesy song. She knows her stuff too and has experience in the real world.
BAD! You don't use the book at all. She thinks everything she says is funny and laughs at it with her really annoying laugh. The tests are impossibly hard unless you're an actual nutritionist, and the projects are a lot of work with very little points given. I found reviewing the slides and ditching class was the best way to pass, and I got a B.
I really dont see what these other people see in her. Lectures are boring, theres no point in going to class. 3 projects that are more work than they are worth; dont really help your grade. Tests are hard so if you want to do good study power points like crazy. Study on your own cuz you wont learn anything from her. Rude when you ask her for help.
I think Professor DeMarco teaches well. I personally found her lectures to be worthwhile and a good majority of the information on her exams comes straight from her lectures, not the book. Projects are easy and I found exams to be easy as well, granted you read the chapters, took notes and went to lecture. If you do poorly it's your own fault.
she is rediculous. she makes stupid jokes non-stop, runs around like a child and then loughs histerically and very loud. she refuses to answer questions during her office hours. it was not too difficult of a class, but this prof is abnoxious
She is a tough teacher but very smart. You will have to study like crazy but if you do you should be fine. Tape her lectures and print the power points and read the book. Her lectures are based on her power points and follow the book as well. She gives you everything you need to pass her class, you just have to STUDY STUDY.
She's a bit eccentric and laughs at her own awful jokes. She teaches off a powerpoint. Honestly, if she didn't take attendance every class I wouldn't show up. The class is so boring unless you're interested in nutrition. There isn't a lot of hw and the tests are multiple choice. Study and you'll pass.
Ms. Demarco has lots of energy. She tries her best to make Nutrition interesting. She gives study guides for every chapter and as long as you study the power points and read the book you'll pass her tests, which are multiple choice. There's only 3 HW assignments all semester. It's definitely possible to get an A in her class.
Easy and entertaining class.
Class is easy. However like othern comments say I agree she is very obnoxious and irritating all of the time. Don't bother her with your questions because she will make you feel stupid.
shes very interesting. her antics are entertaining. its easy if you have a background in anatomy and physio. straight forward. some practice quizzes. test are easy. diet project is easy.
She has no use for excuses and does not care why something did not get done (exception are very serious personal issues not IE lost books or folders). She is very personable but her lectures are boring. She is a bit wild, but that is due to the very dry content of the class and her attempts to liven it up. hard class, make sure you have your ID!!
I love her class. She is neat, organized and sophisticated. She shows interest in answering any questions and she goes beyond what you ask. Very enthusiastic person. She fits for a UC professor. Definitely a class to gain personal knowledge. You will do very well and pass her class with an A if you do your course mate and use her study guidelines.
She is AEWSOME!!! I look foward to her lectures! I sit in the front row and lern away! Love how entusiastic she is. LOVE HER! Paying attention on lecture is a must to get a good grade. I would take her again FOR SURE!!
Enjoyed maternal and how nutrition related athletic performance. My main complaint is her lack of control over the class. Every class students would talk and interrupt class. She would nag them to stop, but it would continue the next class period. Valuable class time was lost.
Lovely lady made the course interesting. amazing demonstrations and examples. she knows her subject very well and answer all the questions.10/10 She is defiantly a perfect example of a good teacher
If you Want to go back to high school take her class
DeMarco has a crazy personality. Real sweet lady but her lectures are hard to follow. She gives out study guides for the tests, so if you go by that, you should get an A on the test. Knowing a bit about the anatomy of the body helps going into this class because she doesn't explain it efficiently. It's very possible to get an A.
She's a very disorganized teacher, her lectures are boring. We took her first test with her not giving us a study guide since she said she was "too busy", and so majority of the class didn't do so well. I don't recommend taking her for nutrition, R. Polokoff is definitely WAY better in terms of teaching style and clarity.
Horrible teacher. Spends the whole period giving lecture. Laughs obnoxiously at random things & treats you like you're dumb if you don't answer her questions. Exams are impossible even WITH study guide & hours of studying. Study guide is irrelevant for test. & her exams are way off from what she teaches in class.
she is hilarious to watch, her way of repsonding to questions is kinda rude. but beside that this class is easy if you read and r interested in nutrition. dont really have to attend since we sign in on sheet, test are easy just have to study. fast paste class and need some dedication
Prof. Demarco is kind of scatter brained, but really knowledgeable on the subject. Half your grade is done online which is super easy and you actually learn a lot from it and her lecture. If you do the work and study you can get an A. Highly recommend her!
Nice lady, laughs sometimes, but her lectures were SO DAMN BORING!!!! People leave class!! They are powerpoints and even if you are interested in nutrition, she makes it really boring. She gave study guides out for tests(except for 1st test) and they got nothing to do w/the questions on the test!!!! She goes through 18 chapters. Take someone else!!
Ms. DeMarco is actually a nice person. It's the course that makes it hard for her to teach because there's so much material to cover (18 chapter), which makes the class go on very fast. Do the LearnSmart assignment and review her recorded lectures from Connect, it will help a lot. Not an easy A class.
Serious the worst teacher I ever had she gave you a study guide for every test except the first and final it wouldn't matter cause her questions were not related to them. She made you do the learn smart which you were suppose to study and learn from but again not related to test. I think she is a confused teacher who honestly shouldn't be teaching!
People who complain are the ones who aren't paying attention to what she is teaching. She goes over everything in detail and, if you listen, how it applies to the real world. It's not just about memorizing things she wants you to know application as well. She is great if you are interested in health and nutrition not just an easy A. Not 4 the lazy!
Miss. DeMarco is one of the best professor. Her class was always fun and she helps clarify anything. I learned more from her lectures and she provides study guides before exams. It's an easy A if you stay current with the course and follow her directions. I would definitely take her again and highly recommend her class!!
pretty helpful but not eassy
the best teacher i've ever have. very nice lady and enthusiastic.
Love her class! She is hilarious, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about Nutrition. She really wants you to succeed getting an A so she provides power points and study guides. Give yourself time to study and visit her during office hours and it will be an easy A. My diet plan has changed. Thank you Ms. DeMarco!
Well, As a professor she is really helpful and provides many opportunities for students to do well in her class. That being said the average is approximately 50% because shes borderline psychotic. Shes.. off and it makes lectures incredibly dull and even pointless if it weren't for the participation grade. Its an easy course, but you'll hate it.
Mrs. DeMarco is a wonderful professor who likes to be goofy (so be ready) and knows what she's teaching like the back of hear hand. I loved her class, it was fun and I learned things I use day-to-day.
Not an easy A, but u WILL have every tool to get an A if you put timeeffort in. Take detailed notes as most test questions are coverd in lectures. EBook homework is fairly easy, but u will learn a lot. Ms. D can be goofy but her energy and love of her profession explains this. If you want to get an easy A and learn nothing, this isnt for you.
Tests are extremely hard and do not match her study guides. Tons of homework. Very hard to get an A. Our last test no one got an A B on our test out of her 250 students & she did not curve the test. I am an A student and have BA degree from USF, NOT AN EASY CLASS. Not helpful at offc hrs & checked out, she has said she is ready to retire.
The exams has nothing to do with her PowerPoint, they are hard as hell, and her study guide doesn't help at all. There was no A in her last exam. Another weird thing is that she requires to do the weakly online quizzes before she even lectures the chapter. As an advice: if you want to learn something about nutrition, don't take her!
Students who complain usually text all class long or play games on laptop. I have an A in class so far but have worked for it because I print power points, take thorough notes during lecture and sit in front where I am not distracted by other students texting. I spend time on study guides and found exams questions match quite well! Great teacher.
Its obvious that she loves her work and passionate about nutrition. Went to her office a few times to get help early in semester and my grade went from B- to A+. Have changed my field to Nutrition due to lectures, learned so much! Recommend Professor D. Provides enough opportunities with worksheetshomework to get good grade. And never boring!!
I love her class. She is very helpful and provides many opportunities for students to do well in her class. I listened and learned a lot from her lectures. She always provides the study guides before exams. Part of your grade is online homework, which helps you learn the material. She always answers questions in the class and during office hours.
She is a amazing, and compassionate , helpful, easy teacher. I had her this semester I got A! But she is the most kind and easy going teacher. She has great personality. Also willing to spend time with me during office hours. I love her so much.
She knows her stuff. I have lost 15 lbs during the semester from info I have learned. It's practical and important. Spend the time studying and learning. It's worth it. I plan on being a nurse and what I have learned from this class has helped me in other classes and my life. Time is needed is class, assignments, studying but I got As on all exams.
DeMarco is a great professor. She really knows her stuff and is very enthusiastic. She'll goof around and make up funny stories to make sure that you're really getting the concept. Tests are multiple choice and are not hard. Take lecture notes, read, and do hw, and you'll do well. A lot of extra credit opportunities.
One of the more enthusiastic and dynamic teachers I've ever had. Glad I took her course and learned more than I ever expected. Very helpful in and out of the classroom. Always kept me wanting to learn more. Challenging but doable.
Great teacher! She's runs the Nutrition department and seems to love everything about nutrition and helping students at DVC. She is helping me work on my Nutrition transfer degree. Professor DeMarco is very knowledgeable. Her class was great because of her energy level and interesting stories. YOU MUST TAKE HER CLASS!!!
I LOVED her class. She's definitely tough, but it's so worth it. I've learned more from being in her class than I have from another professor in a very long time. Make sure to be there for her lectures, everything on the tests are in her lectures. She's quirky and fun during class too!
Summer Class is best because she has the energy to teach the long night course and also kept me awake and engaged. Not too many teachers have been able to keep me interested and wanting to learn in an accelerated course, especially considering the science content. She had a way to make hard stuff easier to understand, while adding a bit of humor.
Enthusiastic and funny, knows the subject, go to office hours for help, only four exams but go to lecture to get the information needed. Learned a lot about physiology at same time so helped me get good grades in those classes too. fair and consistent in grading and policies. not flaky and boring like many other teachers. She cares.
Great class!
taken over summer, assigns classwork worth points and can't make them up if you miss class. Chapter work done online work points, test multiple choice
Miss DeMarco provided clear criteria on how to get my A :) and I liked that! And provided many opportunities to get the A. Always cheerful and smiling and tried to keep the class up-beat. Has a lot of knowledge to share with class. I learned way more than I ever thought I would in this subject but that is a good thing.
If you attend class, follow instructions and use study guides, this class is possible to get the "A". McGraw-Hill is no-brainer for getting 12 the credit already. She is fair grader on worksheets and diet assignment but you need to put some effort into studying for the 4 exams. Great information obtained in this class. I truly enjoyed her energy.
Professor DeMarco is great! I am a Nursing major and found the material to be extremely useful. Some homework and quizzes but without them I would not have Aced her class. She makes lectures fun and interesting, if you can take her please do! She loves teaching and it shows through in her lectures. Would take again!
Probably the worst teacher I've ever had. She relies on the book to do most of the teaching. Her lectures are long and tedious; she goes on tangents. She never completely finishes teaching the chapters she tests on - it's up to you to learn the material at home. Why not just take an online class. Not impressed...
Her tests are based on lecture, gives a study guide, and you get easy points from McGraw Hill making it impossible not to pass. She is very energetic and friendly; making every lecture very enjoyable. If you have issues she will help you out; don't feel afraid to ask her. If you attend a lot she'll bump up your grade to the next mark.
Took it during summer. Long lectures but she is very nice and easy. You do have to study but its not as hard as anatomy or chemistry. I suggest her.
This is definitely a good teacher and you can tell she loves what she teaches. She is not boring so I wonder if other students just don't like the subject who could rate this energetic and fun teacher so poorly. Covers a lot of information and provides class activities to learn the topics. Better than teachers that are monotone. DeMarco is upbeat!
I took professor for both Nutri 115 & 160 and wished she taught more classes. I always looked forward to lectures and her ability to spark my interest in nutrition. Made me chuckle a lot but got motivated to learn and get A. Tests are only on study guides and what she covers in class. Diet project was valuable if you want to improve your eating.
Had a good time with this teacher. Spunky. Not hard to get an A as long as you show up, do the on-line assignments and study guides for the exams. Grades fair. She is straight foward regarding expectations. One of my best classes last semester! :)
Explained concepts like insulin resistance and energy metabolism with better analogies than I've heard before. She's good at helping me understand the physiology and chemistry parts and then it makes more sense in other classes. High energy teacher but keeps you awake and interested. Seems to curve on some exams to make it more fair. Good teacher!
4 tests, none dropped. 2 health project reports (using Nutri-Calc). No presentations required. Homework is online and due at the end of every lecture that she finishes. Everything avail on D2L. A lot of worksheets which are helpful, gives extra credit for extra worksheets turned in. Lectures are interesting, kind a little long though.
Great professor, always attend class. Lectures are very enthusiastic. if you come all the time, pay attention, do the homework , a b is the minimum you'll get. What separates A students from B students is attendance/participation and test scores.
Professor DeMarco is a good teacher in the sense that, she knows what she's talking about. Her class has multiple choice exams (no notes), 2 nutricalc project and participation worksheets she gives on random days to make sure you come to her class. My con: she has zero people skills; incredibly rude. Don't even bother trying to ask her questions.
Mrs Demarco is a good teacher and quirky but she is very VERY hard. homework is online and her lectures are hard to understand I got lost and confused majority of the time because she jumped around and it's ao long that you get lost... It's best to print out the lecture PowerPoints to follow because she goes fast
Professor Demarco is a funny and likable teacher. I found the homework to be easy (it's all online) and the nutricalc projects were interesting and I liked her feedback on ways to change my diet. However, I do not know if this was because the class was 4 hours or just not liking nutrition, but I pretty much learned NOTHING from the lectures.
I took her 6-week summer class. Lectures were super long & not interesting. Basically I learned more from doing the hw & study guides than from her lectures.
Took her nutrition summer class and it was stressful. Although her lectures and homework are not hard, she assigns A TON of reading assignments and projects throughout the 6 weeks. As long as you attend her lectures, read and study you'll get an A. If you don't know how to manage your time wisely I would not take this class during the summer.
The class wasn't a breeze but, then again, I knew nutrition would cover a lot more than just basic food groups. I appreciated the explanations of physiology and metabolism at a level that helped me understand concepts better in this and other concurrent classes. Info I learned helped in personal medical decisions and dietary changes. Thank you!
I took DeMarco over the summer and it was a lot of work because we had to do 15 chapters in 6 weeks (met only 2 nights per week) but the homework was quizzes online anyway and so easy boosted my grade. There were 3 diet projects and she gave great feedback inspiring me to change my diet, I can see she really cared about me as a person.
Ms. DeMarco is clear about expectations, gives clear guides for what will be on the tests, points for participation. Basically, show up, do the minimal work she requires of you, and study what's on the study guides, get an A.
Took her class over summer and it was very hard , so be prepared ! Homework is easy and assignments are easy but her tests were hard ! You really have to pay attention to her lectures in class and understand the reading to do well on the tests . If you manage your time , study, and listen you will do well in her class .
She's absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable.
This teacher does not give very many assignments. She does not explain questions very well but when she does try she gets off topic. She does not do makeup work for in class assignments. Her study guides and notes do not help on her tests. You have to buy a book online and if you want to follow along in class you'll need a laptop or buy the book too. She rarely does extra credit. She was not kind when I started after class to ask for help. She does offers help and a study group. The one time I came to her office during her open hours to seek help she was not there. She only uses d2l no personal email. The class is pretty much all online and most of the work. She often reminds the class that she has several other classes to explain her actions. I would not recommend !!!
two major papers and four tests that are pretty easy and to the point! She takes attendance everyday and lectures the entire class time.
you have to put time and work into this class to get that A. She will make you feel stupid if you ask her a question, she is NOT friendly. Stay off ur phones bc she will roll her eyes& call u out. Her tests are long, but doable. Just study hard with study guide bc its somewhat similar.
I didn't find Professor DeMarco as rude. She was always caring, kind, and took time to answer questions but there were students who constantly stopped her every 5 minutes with questions that were not relevant to class topics. She has a lot of information to share and is passionate about nutrition which was what made me want to go to every class.
DeMarco was awesome and enjoyed every one of her classes. She always helped me when I asked questions and I can tell she really cares about her students. I learned more in this class than any other so far! Great class for those who want to learn how to live longer!
I liked this professor but maybe it's because I love nutrition. She provided valuable information, videos on current topics, and always made me smile with her sense of humor. She only tests you on info covered in classes so you want to attend sessions.
I took Professor DeMarco in the FORUM and found it helpful to sit near the front of room so she got to know me since the room is big with many students. She had a TA (assistant and tutor), who was assigned only to her class in Forum. It was extremely beneficial and helped me get an "A".
This instructor is smart and really loves nutrition. She was helpful throughout the semester when I went to office hours on a regular basis. She is not monotone and boring like my other instructors. It was refreshing to have one class that I truly looked forward to going to. At the end of semester, she was very fair in grading so I could pass.
She definitely lectures heavy but her tests were based off notes. So that's the good part plus she has study guides. And take advantage of tutoring!! It helps so much you'll pass with an A forsure
I took her class and noticed that she moves extremely fast and also doesn't stay on topic. Confusion lectures and her Test are difficult. She give you a test every 4 chapters so study up. Good luck
Took her class last fall. She's always very up beat and cares for her students just respect her time in class. So, don't use your phones and such. The tests are pretty easy it's all based off the lecture so don't skip or else you may miss something. Have to buy online code which is $$. Overall great!
Mrs DeMarco is good teacher she loves her job and wants her students to pass the class . After each 4 chapters covered there's a test. She gives extra credit assignments and also online assignments on each chapter. The class is hard if you never study chemistry . I learned a lot of things about nutrition during this semester .
She's a good teacher , she isn't boring and keeps the class interesting. However for some people this class can be difficult if you have no chemistry or biology background. I took chem 107 and bio 102 in the previous semesters so the class wasn't that difficult - it's all stuff you already know. If you don't have the background ur at a disadvantage
Very funny and she makes the 1.5 class go by fast. You can see she loves to teach and shes always bubbly and wants to tell stories and make the class laugh
Hey class definitely started a life changing journey for me.
Professor DeMarco is the best! She's super funny and her lectures are very engaging. She really made me think about my diet and because of it, I have changed the way I eat. Don't skip class and put in a little study time during the week and you'll do just fine. Highly recommend!
She was an okay teacher, but she went through lecture way to quick with no time for questions or anything. We did 15 chapters in a semester and it was just so much to handle! She's super nice, but just not the best teacher. If you take her, be ready to work hard! A lot of the HW is online and need an access code that is $90 or a new book has code
Fair Grader
She is very enthusiastic and passionate about nutrition. I looked forward to all of her lectures.
She is very upbeat. Her lectures are very engaging. Her assignments are fairly easy and straightforward. Attendance is only mandatory because she takes role but it doesn't go to your grade and the lectures are posted online by her. You will learn a lot about your diet in her class. Her tests are from everything you learned from her.
My first class at DVC and my absolute favorite by far. Professor Demarco was very enthusiastic, but she means buisness. If you are planning to take this course, be prepared to be organized, printing out lecture sides is critical! Test are somewhat challenging so make sure to do the study guide & do well on assignments if you want a good grade.
Teacher doesn't make it too hard so as long as you attend to do the activities and get her notes, you should get a good grade. It's a class that's practical to help about basic nutrition, healthy eating and planning, disease prevention. Need book to do assignments worth lots of points.
Grade was based on homework assignments that are online and super easy, exams, and 3 small projects that were also easy to do. Class is not that hard as long as you study for the exams you'll get a good grade.
This teacher is great. The class I am taking is needed for my transfer degree and the chapters are required for transfer as well according to my advisor at SFSU. I am learning so much this semester, sure to get an A. Teacher stays on track, explains each topic thoroughly. Great study guides to prep for exams. 2 extra credit assignments to help.
Good class. I learned a lot from her. She's not boring and is nice. Take notes from lectures or print out the lectures and highlight things that'll be on the tests. Tests are moderate, not difficult, just know the material enough. Do all assignments and the few extra credits.
She looks for specific details in assignments. Require you to pay attention in class. I suggest you read ahead if possible. Try not to falling asleep in class and tries to be funny. Gives extra credit. Doesn't let you make up late work. Fill out study guides to help you study!
She's a little crazy, but overall a nice person. She's a hypocrite with using a computer to take note (lets some people get away with it and not others). Her lectures are so boring I dreaded going to class bc of it. She just reads what is on the slides. Tests are easy, if you study and do your homework you'll get an A
dreaded going to her lecture every day. just lectures and her homework doesnt relate to her lectures. did super good on homework and terrible on tests but still passed with a B. also gets super irritated when the class doesnt know answers. said we did the worst on tests shes seen since she started teaching
Horrible Professor! Disrespectful and just plain weird. One day in the middle of lecturing she lifted up her shirt out of nowhere and showed us her belly. Once I asked a question and she grabbed my foot. Twice I forgot scantrons and she made a giant dial out of it because I was asking other students to borrow one.
She's passionate about her job and really tries to simplify the material. You need to purchase the online code in order to do the online assignments for credit. Its like $80. The assignments are up two weeks before theyre due so she gives you lots of time. The study guides are available the first day of class. Do them to pass the exams.
She's not very good at describing difficult topics
This class really grew on me! At first, it seemed like she was going on tangents, but everything she mentions appears on tests. She presents nutrition in an understandable way, even for those without a science background. Homework is online ($80 access code required) and doesn't relate too much to lecture, but not too hard. Overall great choice
Very nice professor. Extra credit for exam. Very kind professor.
She's passionate about what she does. I think the issue I had is how much energy she has because my class was an 8 AM so it was a lot sometimes that early! Do the cengage assignments (she doesn't give extensions) and read the book while following the study guide. She does a couple E/C opportunities so make sure to do them even if you don't need it!
Professor Demarco worked with athletes for a long time and brings her experience to the classroom. She even helped me improve my diet during office hours. Getting an "A" was not that hard, although I think having the book helped my grade. Lectures are informative and entertaining. I recommend her.
Professor Demarco is one of those professors at DVC who you can look up to. A wonderful professor gives great feedback on assignments. If you want A come to each class, do the homework and all the diet assignments. Her instructions are straight forward so follow them and finish the assignments. Whatever she says in class is on the exam so listen!!
Prof Demarco is one of my favorite professors. She's very funny and interesting to listen to in lectures. She is a fair grader and gives lots of opportunities to get points. Do all the assignments she gives & listen to her lectures, you will do well. I took this class as an 8am and she made it really fun and interesting.
She is very nice and helps you with anything, but she can be strict on any late assignments. The class is just based on the textbook assignments (which are easy), a few research projects that you need to put some work in cause she takes little points for no reason, and then tests, which you really need to study for because it can be difficult.
Prof. Demarco is awesome! She is very experienced in nutrition and passionate about teaching! If you complete her study guides and go over them you should do well on tests. Very straight forward lectures and assignments. There are weekly quizzes that are super easy. She is also not a tough grader. There is also extra credit available on exams.
Probably one of the best professors in the Nutrition department at DVC. She is very knowledgeable in this field. I loved her lectures, found them interesting. Study the material and really read the textbook. Complete the extra quizzes and study guides. It'll only help out in the long run. This class showed me how to balance my diet and lifestyle.
Do all the work, including the discussions, and do it all on time, study for exams, and you will get an A. DeMarco is kind and a fair grader and wants her students to succeed. Extra credit is given. Textbook is great.
