Helen Taylor is one of the best teachers that I have had in a long time. Her lectures are fun and engaging. There are quizzes every week, but if you take notes during the lectures, you will ace them without a problem. I highly recommend this class!

Mrs. Taylor is a great teacher. The quizzes every week are easy.They're multiple choice and not too indepth so I suggest just reading the chapter assigned and making sure you know the ket words. If you have to take psych, I would take it with her

Excellent instructor! The class is very structured and there are no surprises come test time. 3 tests and a couple projects, but nothing is too challenging. Just be sure to read the book and take notes on the lecture. Also, be sure to completely review the study guides before the tests.

One of the coolest ladies on the campus. Is a great teacher to learn from, laid back and very helpful.

Organized, interesting, diplomatic, friendly. She is the paragon of Teacher. Not necessarily the most fun, but she gets the job done and she's good at it. Tough when she needs to be, but fair. Like most teachers, she'll give better treatment to students who show up to class, seem interested, etc

Shes the best teacher Ive had. Psychology is an interesting subject, but also difficult. Taylor was very helpful. We had tests every week but the class was always well prepared from the lectures and if you read the chapters. It was a good class. Shes very nice and you learn a lot in this class. Well worth your money!

I took this class online. She requires a lot of work but it's not impossibly hard work. Her deadlines are the hardest thing to keep track of - she's the queen of calendars and regular due dates esp. for discussions.

This class would be great for anybody. You learn a lot and it's fun. There were no tests or essays just weekly quizzes, discussions, and homework. Once you get used to the due dates, it's easy. She also contributes a lot to the discussions. I think it's really nice that she's so involved.

During class, she gives you a small lecture on what you are supposed to read over. Then she assigns you a whole chapter, or two chapters, then quizzes u the next week. She also requires you to do 3 long and boring activities online, and write summaries about them.

She is a great teacher! She makes class very interesting. She is a very kind women. Her tests are easy if you just listen in class. She really helps you learn the material. She even makes power points to help your note takeing skills. Her class was the best class of my day. It is alot of fun filled with some discussions and getting to know your fellow classmates.

Great teacher, relys heavily on power point, scantron quiz every week, clear exepctations, moderate reading assignments, engaging speaker, had a lot of trouble with projecter this quarter, take her she's good.

Helen is a wonderful teacher. I took her online class and have learned a great deal. She always answers any questions you may have. Only hard part of the class is learning when things are due. Lots of discussion, assignments, and a quiz every week helps to reinforce the material! Highly reccomend her for anyone wanting to take Psychology!

She kept you busy with a lot of work, but she was fair in her grading and very helpful if you ever needed it. I would definitely recommend her to others.

Fun class! Great teacher!

VERY good teacher. I learned a lot in the class and it was never boring. Assigments are easy and definatly not busy work, they help prepare me for the tests. Tests not too hard either. Very fair grader, on the easy side for assignment and very fair with tests and generous with the few in class assignments. Good sense of humor and very nice lady.

Very clear, powerpoint lectures, some groupwork, but overall a very good teacher. It is very possible to get an "A" in her classes.

I had Dr. Taylor for Psych 100, and I loved her so much that I took her for Soc. 240 even though it didn't apply to my degree. She's the best and nicest teacher you'll find. Come to class because huge portions of the test are from the lectures and powerpoints. She's a very entertaining lecturer, so it's not hard to stay awake. Best class ever!

She keeps you busy with plenty of work. She is helpful when you have a question and she doesn't talk down to you. I would recommend her and this class.

(ONLINE COURSE) Helen is awesome! All directions are CLEARLY LAID OUT. Discussions are really INTERESTING. Students who failed simply didn't read her instructions and course expectations. Their fault, not hers, since she made things clear and repeated them several times.

1st online class Enjoyable but busy. She lays it all out for you whats on quizes everything A 30 question quiz each week have to post 4 times and reply once weekly and a 3 paragraph online write up due every friday. One paper and 100 question final which is easy. Just use flash cards to study, do online activities, and you'll get an B+ fo sho

I took this class online. A lot of work, but it’s not extremely hard. You have assignments, online activities and discussions every week. She gives you notes for exactly what you need to learn for the tests, which makes studying easy. I learned a lot from this class. I’m glad I choose to take it with Helen!

She gives a lot of work to do. Even during finals week. But if you study hard you can get an A. Lets just say when I took her class thats all I was doing.

ONLINE CLASS - Dr. Taylor does a great job. You'll have work just about every day - but it's pretty easy to wade through. Her online classroom is the best organized I've seen in 4 quarters of online classes. Very clear expectations. Very clear instructions. She answers every question quickley and with clear responses. Great Teacher!

I loved Helen as an instructor. I took psych online from her. She always responded very quickly to any questions and graded assignments quickly and fairly. She had the best format I've seen online. It was very easy to navigate and to know when new stuff appeared. There was a lot of homework and quizzes, but overall they were fairly easy.

Very friendly, easy to understand, and the use of textbook, DVD and online help was great for learning the material well.

I took this course online - really enjoyed it. No previous background in psych, learned a lot. As long as you are good about completing all of the assignments on time you will be fine. It's easy to make a study guide to use while taking the weekly quizzes. The class was very well organized and easy to navigate. She is very nice and knowledgable.

Took this class online. Prof was very organized and had all the work/assignments laid out on a calendar that was extremely helpful. Responded to emails fast. Can be hard, but if you do the work you should be fine. Lots of quizzes and discussions.

I love this class! I have always hated online classes because they are never clear... This class is the clearest thing ever! Always e-mails you promptly and sticks to her Calendar!! I highly recommend this class to anyone!! FANTASTIC!!!

Taylor is a great teacher, she's really nice and presents the information in an expedient and easily understandable manner. She's more than willing to talk after class and clarify any questions one may have. Overall I loved this class and would recommend it and this teacher 100%

this was my second class with Dr. Taylor. she has to be my favorite prof on campus. this class can be challenging, but study and you will do fine. she really knows what she is talking about and has many different tools to help the students learn. highly recommend!

This is my second quarter with prof. Taylor, and she really is an amazing professor. She knows what she's talking about, she covers the material thoroughly, she allows for plenty of questions and group discussion to better relate the material, and her classes are fun. I don't care for this class in particular, but I love her as a professor.

Most amazing teacher at BC. Though there is a lot of reading material in one week, she is engaging, funny, and very helpful. Take her class! You will learn a lot of very interesting material and enjoy it as well.

Great teacher

One of the best teachers in BC. If you don't do well on your test and you studied for it, talk to her. She'll guide you onto how you should study based on YOUR learning ability (extremely smart & helpful lady). I got a C on my first exam but after I talked to her, I got an A on the rest of the exams. Don't talk to her if you didn't study.

I didn't have a hard time but, only Helen can make even a self assessment a paper long load. Way too much busy work in my opinion. Makes dealing with other classes difficult (assuming you have a life outside of school). Very time consuming for an into/entry class.

So excellent, one of my favorite profs at BC.

Took Helen for Psych of Sex & Gender and enjoyed it quite a bit. Overall was disappointed in the class as it was a lot more social psychology but she is a very good teacher. The group projects were pretty lame and some of her tests cover material that was only briefly covered in class. Great personality, would take her again.

Dr.Taylor is a great teacher. Take her course! She is not only kind, she is also very responsive. The class is amazingly interesting. You will learn a lot of very valuable information, no matter what your major may be. The textbooks is wonderful, very interesting and amusing too. The textbook website helps a lot preparing for quizzes, etc.

Took this course online. Dr. Taylor clearly wants her students to be successful. The format of the course is designed to ensure that you learn the material long before quiz/test time. She makes you work for your grade, but will help you along within reason. Definately take her course.

Excellent online class! Wasn't too hard, but you had to read and participate in the online discussions, which were very helpful. Definitely recommend her for Psych 100, maybe later Psych classes too.

I really enjoyed Dr. Taylor's online class. The class consisted of: weekly discussions and quizzes that you have to read the book for, a research paper, and a comprehensive final. Participation in the discussions is key! She was always willing to answer my questions and was easily accessible. I would definitely recommend her!

Dr.Helen was awesome! The amount of reading required was a LOT but she was so on top of it when I asked questions. Great teacher. I loved her class.

Her online class was amazingly well thought out. It had got to be the best online class that I have ever taken. Her assignments are easy if you read the material, and her weekly tests are challenging at first but you will get the hang of it within a few weeks. She is responsive and very helpful.

Class was straight forward and easy. Posted lecture slides cover key concepts that were arguably more helpful for retaining information than the actual textbook. Discussions sometimes felt forced but otherwise were good for exploring specific topics.

This professor had very interesting topics for our discussions. Helen gave us many different questions to choose from to answer each week and also gave us personal feedback about our responses. I had a suggestion to make the due dates a little more clear and she adapted that into her teaching and that was extremely professional. BEST PROFESSOR EVER

I was scared because this was my 1st online class, but Helen is very organized and detailed about her expectations! She puts out announcements weekly, gives us study guides and a clear assignment calendar, not to mention she is very big on communication. Just do your part and read a few pages each week and you'll be solid.

I took Professor Taylors online Positive Psychology 109 course. A typical week consists of a Real Life Lab Experiment, a discussion post to a discussion question relevant to the week's chapter, and a relatively easy quiz about the material and a TED talk. Read the book and submit on time, everything's pretty straightforward.

I love this teacher. Psychology classes require lots of reading and writing so be prepared. If you love the subject matter it shouldnt be a problem because its fascinating and you learn a lot about yourself along the way. Helen is always willing to answer questions you have and gets back to you right away. Cant wait for my next class with her!!

I dont know where to begin other than to say that Helen was an excellent teacher! She was a great communicator and cared about the success of her students. She created a highly interesting and engaging course, which enabled me to learn how ones culture and psyche are deeply interconnected. I would take this course all over again.
