Professor is very knowledgable about Geology. It was an interesting class learned a lot. Also took his Lab class. If you attend each class and study, you will pass the class.

He is great! The material is not that interesting, not his fault though. If you attend class, study from his notes for the final..You will do fine. He's an awesome teacher, very down to earth but does make you work for your grade. Don't be lazy...I took his lab and class, highly recommend him!!

This professor to his credit CHALLENGES his students to EARN THEIR GRADE!! If you are serious about learning, then he is highly recommended, if not then why are you attending any class??? Don't whine...Do the work and you will be rewarded!! The school is lucky to have him on the faculty!!

Easy A. All the info is in the slides very few slides per test and if you read them even once you will get an A. He reviews everything before the test and best of all he is funny he reminds me of the asian guy from the hangover great guy great class!! Dont listen to the whiners that say he is hard they are losers who didn?t even try!!

Soooooo Easy I think he is getting bad remarks on here because he is rough around the edges but overall he is great. If you need and intro class take this one or something he teachs you will learn a lot of cool stuff bout the Earth.

Great professor. Really enjoyed having him. The questions from the practice exams are the same questions that will be on tests. Study the practice exams and do the review sheets and you should get good grades on the tests. Gives in-class assignments for extra credit points too.

Prof. Henri was amazing! He's very funny and knows about his rocks! If you study with his review & practice exam, You can not fail! The slides also are very helpful! In-class assignments offer extra credit, so show up to class!

He is a very nice professor. Class is pretty difficult. He tries to help. If you do all the work and try you will be ok. It is the best lab i have been in. Only one test (final exam). Lets you out early most of the time. Just dont get on his bad side. Overall he is pretty cool guy

Attendance is crucial to your grade because you are not allowed to make up extra credit. I really suck as sciene but mr. liauw was awesome! He is the best science professor i ever had. Wish i keep take him again. I COMPLETELY RECOMMEND HIM

One of the best professors I have ever had. He is a geologist and has field expertise in the subject. He explains the mechanisms very clearly, and is passionate about teaching. He uses online resources very well. The textbook is important but if you pay attention in class you shouldn't need to read in depth. His tests are very fair, not easy.

Mr.L is an AMAZING teacher. He will keep you interested with cool facts, stories and YouTube videos. But his exams are hard, study guides are vague and attendance matters. But he is really helpful and understanding.

I read all the negative feedback about prof. Henri Liauw A Pau, but I still decided to take him and it was the right choice. He gave me a second chance when i submitted an assignment wrong. his grading is awesome and super fast. he respond to emails very fast, and he is there for you. I would defiantly take him again.

After reading the comments below I decided to give it a shot and see what happens. This man is a GOD HE WILL SAVE YOU. Tests are fairly simple most of the questions actually come from his practice reviews I was not expecting them to. The hardest things really is the online quizzes everything else is a breeze. Take him you will not regret it!

I was on the fence about taking his class but now I'm very thankful I did. Sometimes he can be hard to understand but he helps you a lot. If you respect him, he'll respect you. I am not a fan of science and I actually ended up really enjoying this subject! He gives you 3 big tests and then a final. IMPORTANT: Study & invest your time in the class!

DO NOT listen to the people that gave him bad reviews. I took him because there were no classes left and I AM GLAD I TOOK HIM!! His tests DO follow the reviews. Three tests and a cumulative final, 3-4 quizzes and some easy homework not much else! TAKE HIM you will not regret it plus he's actually pretty funny!

He's a cool guy, just STUDY and take NOTES. Easy assignments, easy tests and he thinks he's funny. dropped because his class was not a neccessity for me.

I went into this class thinking it was going to be hard bc the reviews but I ended up enjoying it in its hardness. Prof H is a great professor!! Gives you study guides that holds all test info. All you have to do is study and you're good. If you're lazy and looking for an easy A, he's not for you. If you don't mind studying, take. Love him!

Excellent professor, he is an easy grader and not picky with grades. He gives TONS of extra credit. I would recommend him to anyone. I took the lab with him and got an A and took GLY1010 and got an A too.

Very nice and funny professor. He's more down to earth. My class only had 4 tests, quizzes (on D2L), a few discussions (on D2L), and maybe 2-3 HW assignments. I didn't think it was a hard class. It's definitely not an easy A though. He also gives helpful study guides.

He's a great professor, and makes the content relatable to the world around us. The study guides are great to pass the tests. He makes you work for your grade. Online quizzes, 4 tests, and some easy discussions. Easy classwork grades that help boost grade. He's great, take him!

This professor is honestly super nice, his class is just tough. The tests are super hard, no matter how hard you study. His study guides are not the best and his tests also have fill-in-the-blank, making it harder. For the most part, his lectures are interesting. He gives no extra credit opportunities.

Professor Henry had excellent communication and responded to emails in a timely manner. He attempts to make his classes entertaining and understandable.

It was a lot of work but I passed the class with an A. He will help you out if you behave and participate. Study guides help out a lot. If you do everything you should pass with an A or B.

Although Prof. Henri makes the class fun, he makes you work for your grade! His test are hard, so you will definitely have to study. THIS CLASS IS NOT AN EASY A! But he has a sense of humor and his lectures are fun and interesting which makes this class enjoyable. (btw he does not give any extra credit opportunities)

I took Prof. Liauw A Pau's Geology class and honestly it was very enjoyable. He does get a little side tracked with stories he has about a certain topic but it usually ends with a joke or a funny remark. I learned a lot in his class and he provides the tools necessary to pass your tests (study guides, hand outs, etc). I highly recommend him.

Professor Henri is a great teacher. His lectures are really interesting and the homework and tests aren't too hard. He is a really nice guy

He makes the class fun by doing group activities & is totally straight forward. He literally tells you if you dont study, you will fail his tests. Also, automatically give you extra credit at the end of the course

He is a wonderful teacher. He really knows what hes talking about and enjoys teaching it. His class is mainly lectures and some hands on activities. He wants and expects you to understand the material. There are several tests that are a large portion of your grade. However, if you study and try your best you should do well, I would take him again

Advice for the class is to do all your homework, do the study guides and practice quizzes he gives you. Participate in class because that helps also. After doing that youll be fine.

Taking this class after not being in school for 2 years was a piece of cake. I thought it would be hard because it's science. However, Professor Pau really made me enjoy it. He gives so much help, and practice tests that you just can't fail unless you really don't try.

Amazing professor. It's a lot of work but it's easy. I had him for labs and we had a lot of group work. If you're lazy, a procrastinator, or looking for an easy A. I recommend him for labs.

My best semester! You must take his class if you want to learn while having fun and nourishing your brain. Prof. Henri guided and supported all of us all the way. I took both courses, and it was the best decision ever! Too bad I did not take the environmental class and all my science classes with him. He is simply the best! A+ 5stars.

No need to buy books; everything is in the Pearson lab. On top of that, he takes his time to explain with videos, life examples, group games, class movies, and all in exquisite detail to get an A or B. His knowledge and experience make him the best, most caring, and most supportive professor. If you follow his directions, you will get an A.

Professor Henri was a remarkable teacher who speak clearly and made the class very easy to learn. There are four exams that are heavily graded but one is not counted which is your lowest grade. My class and I learn the importance of Minerals, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and the Ocean World. The lab's activities were amazing to do. Best of Luck to All.

The professor is very professional, and he always makes us laugh. Show up to class everyday never miss homework assignments, complete and engage in activities and you will pass this course. Many students already had passing grades before the final exam. They were satisfied with A's and B's. I took the final test just to challenge myself.

Honestly, the bad reviews are students that didn't even try. He literally helps you with everything, the work is not overwhelming at all. Plus there is extra credit! It's really not difficult, he was very nice and honest. He actually cares and is very understanding. Don't believe the negative reviews. It's really not difficult unless you're lazy.

Best science teacher ever! I am horrible at science so I was nervous. He is so nice! I did have to do some studying so I can pass the exams but it really wasn't hard to do. We all have to put in work if we want to succeed. There's no reason to fail especially with the opportunities of extra credit and he guides you through the course.

Professor Henri is kind of strict but is very nice if you are committed with the class, a little bit of homework and very picky with the assignments and assistance to class.

I'm not sure why his rating is so low. I really enjoyed taking this professor. His labs were hands on and fun. Professor Henri is very passionate and knowledgeable about environmental science. His lectures were always lively and his grading was straightforward. He really loves what he teaches and it shows. Definitely take!!
