Was very hard to pass, but very nice lady.
dont ever take a class with her
I would recommend to take another teacher. Every time a student would ask her a question she will say "go to STEM LAB" instead of explaining it in the class. Chem is not a easy course, but she makes it a lot harder. Towards the end of the semester she began to lighten up maybe because so many student complain. I just suggestion to take another prof
i took both general chemistry one and two. she is alright. you must read the book in order to survive
She is not good at teaching but her exams are really easy. basically she just reads ppt.slides in d class. her exams are multiple choice and they are easy included some open ended too. Also. she is a bit hard in d lab she needs all lab reports on time. if you do well in d lab u ll be okay. and she doesn't curve exams. and quizzes are easy too.
i took chem with another professor and had to drop it. she makes it easier to understand. uses pp a lot, and her explanations are very clear.
She reads of the slides, does very little examples her exams are easy .
she took over our class, thanks god, 100 times better since she started to teach, saved us.
She tries to make sure that we understand the material. Sometimes I struggle with math, but she goes over it again. I like her teaching. I will try to get her again.
I'm finally learning chemistry. Very good teacher, for challenging material.
I like her teaching style. She is trying to make sure that we all understand what she is explaining. Wish to take chem 2 with her in the summer.
Dr. Mozsolits is a prof at Montclair State U. If you pay attention in her class it shouldnt be too bad. YOU have to put effort in if you want a good grade. About 5 (sorta tricky) quizzes and only 2 tests (with 3-4 problems) she's a tough grader but you'll be surprised(in a good way) with your final grade. Shes not that bad. YOU have to want it!!
Dr. Mozsolits is a very nice Chemistry teacher. Her lectures are easy and she has slides that she posts after class so students can check them out for exams. She is helpful, just ask. There are three exams but short lecture and lab quizzes about every week.
I am currently taking Intro to Organic and Inorganic Chemistry at PCCC with Dr. Mozsolits and felt like starring my experience 3 weeks into class. She is precise about her expectations, assigns necessary homework and puts power points and useful material on our blackboard. She's really nice and I enjoy her lectures. Labs have been fun so far also.
She is very difficult to understand, she does not speak English clearly. She just read the power point, she does not explain any exercises only does the examples that you have in the book. There is a lot of homework. Don't take her class. She was the worst professor that I ever had.
While she is still genuinely nice, she is IMPOSSIBLE. Her expectations are that of an Ivy League University. No study material/refrences and expects you to remember every word of every sentence of every chapter, including tables and charts. IMPOSSIBLE to pass, more then 2/3 of class dropped and the remaining students are all failing besides 3...
She is very hard. Tough grader and tests are extremely difficulty. She is willing to help but you still won't understand she can't explain for her life All she does she is read off of power points and expects you to memorize everything. She doesn't curve grades. DO NOT TAKE HER, BIGGEST MISTAKE OF THE SEMESTER.
She is the worst professor i ever had.. She doesn't like to explain at all and she just read the powerpoint.. Do not take her!!
I needed it for my major. If anyone is a good science student they'll be fine. For me, I spent most of my time in her class hearing crickets. She is very fast and we covered three chapters in an hour once. I had to reread everything on my own because she isn't helpful. Unfortunately, I have to take it again. Just not with her. She's 2 fast 4 me.
She does her best, tries to explain material. Very nice professor. Most of my class does not put the effort into studying and does not do well. Just do your homework, pay attention in class, study and you will do well in her class.
She does not speak English very well (very difficult to understand her). She just read the power points. She does not explain exercises, just that you have in the power points. . Do not take her class!!! Each semester a lot of students drooped this class.
She's amazing even tho people say she's not. Chem is really hard no matter what you do. It needs time to study and practice. Study the BOOK with the POWERPOINT. Her quizzes ARE the in-text problems and practice problems IN THE BOOK. so PRACTICE and UNDERSTAND. DO NOT BE LATE IN LAB cause she locks the door and DO NOT USE YOUR PHONES IN CLASS
You have to make an effort to pass. Professor has a great sense of humor! The lecture power points ARE her notes AND your study guide. (Seriously, it doesn't get any better than this method of teaching). If you actually care about your classes she can be quite merciful. If you ask questions intelligently, she answers precisely. Excellent Professor!
You do most of your learning on your own, forget asking complicated questions after class. Takes a long time to return your graded exams and labs. Your not allowed to keep your exams once graded (you can't even photograph them) for future reference and studies. The grading system on the syllabus she described is inaccurate. Good personality though.
Her lectures are solid, use the textbook it's very helpful and STUDY. It's chemistry so it's a pretty difficult subject and not studying at least an hour a day will set you back. I would definitely take her again. A lot of people say she moves fast but as someone who transferred to PCCC from a four year school she moves at a decent speed. Study.
For one she gives the students different powerpoints than the one she shows. She won't answer your question entirely because she so focused on time. NEED the lab book for the lab. Has her own office easy to visit. Extra credit question on the exam. Very strict in class, keep your phone away. Never cancels class.
Dr. Mozsolits helps students get a true understanding of Chemistry. She is extremely organized and really prepares for lectures. Her class is very straightforward and the tests come from the powerpoint, homework, and practice exercises. She provides you with many extra credit opportunities and gives clear explanations of course content/expectations
It is a tough class, but the prof explained it well. You have to put effort to it. Must attend, you will not pass if you don't. Do your homework and ask questions, the prof will help.
Super hard professor. She goes through the slides for three chapters in 2 hours. Be prepared to read a lot
I took professor Mosolitzs for chem I and chem II. The class will be difficult if you don't keep up with the reading, and show up to lecture. Participating in her lectures were one of the more memorable experiences I've had at pccc. Questions are not shunned, they are welcomed. Key to passing: PAY ATTENTION IN LECTURE & DO THE EXAMPLE PROBLEMS.
has an accent that is very hard to understand, study guides DONT reflect whats on the test. all she does is read through the slides which isn't teaching.
Prof is there to help. She would mostly go through the power points and you have to do a lot of learning on your own. Not good to take her for summer class as less time and not enough help.
I had professor Mozsolits for both my general chemistry courses. When I first took general chemistry I with her, I had to choose her again for chem II. She is a very smart and straight forward professor, students were expected to study the material and passing is guaranteed. She teaches excellent and includes all important notes on power points.
Boring. All she does in class is reading off her slides. Has a very strong accent which makes it more difficult to understand. If your major requires lots of chem, don't take her otherwise you won't learn anything. Don't study from her study guides. Overall, bad professor.
Not the best professor you can have . Very tough grading and super hard exams
Very hard to understand what she teaches because she doesnt explain thoroughly.
She has a really strong accent, but once you sit in on a couple of her lectures, you'll get used to it. Pay attention in class, print out the lectures beforehand, and practice the problems done in class at home. If you want a good grade, you have to work for it. She does not curve so don't bother asking. Overall she's really sweet and I liked her.
She goes wayyy to fast and is not useful. Always late to labs. Usually takes her 20 minutes to get to lab even though the lecture class and lab class is right across from each other.
Terrible teaching ethic! If you want to pass this class, it better be the ONLY thing on your syllabus because all of your focus must solely be on this class. Doesn't give accurate studying information for tests and when asked to slow down or help, she refers you to multiple tutoring resources and sees no problem with how she goes about teaching.
This class was extremely difficult. Professor has an accent which is very hard to understand, Be ready to learn on your own because, for one her powerpoints don't match the lecture, the tests are HARD and her reviews are completely different than the actual test. I would not recommend this professor at all.
You will hate chemistry just because you took with. You may end up in depression and dropping off. Trust me you will regret that you chose to take this class with her. the work you have is four times heavy compared to other professors. the heavy work drains your time and energy. when you take the exam you get bad grades(bad atmosphere of teaching.
She explains very good. she likes you to practice a lot. Finally you get satisfied for understanding the course and getting good grade.
Be prepared to waste hella paper for her online narrated lectures. Sure having the PowerPoint printed right next to you is helpful but you waste a lot of paper printing them out. She isn't flexible and if you don't do what she asks she responds with it being not her problem. A textbook is required. Tests are hard.
This was my first full remote learning semester and I am glad that I got a chance to learn from her. She was great, very patient, and helpful. She provided the class with every material for success.
Dr. Mozsolits makes chemistry easy by her detailed instructions, lecture videos and concept examples. I enjoyed her course and passed exams easily. A pleasant learning experience where grasping difficult chemistry lessons is simplified. Highly recommended.
Although this course was challenging due to the remote learning, I must say I enjoyed it! Besides the Zoom classes, the professor narrated her lectures as well, so it was easy to keep up even when I missed the Zoom class. She is really helpful when asked. I am definitely taking Chemistry II with her.
I took Chemistry I and II with prof Mozsolits. She has been very helpful. She provides the handouts and background materials in Blackboard. As long as you prepare for the classes, you should have no problem getting a good grade.
She publishes her presentations and slides online. She always gives homework practices, which makes it easier to prepare. She recommends to use the textbook, but I was able to get a decent grace by just going through her materials.
The class was not as hard as I thought it would be.
I liked her class. I will take it again.
I enjoyed her class. It was easy to follow. She gave out detailed instructions each week and her narrated lecture videos were a great help.
She is such a great professor. She is very helpful and understanding. Her instructions and presentations are crystal clear and with her help my study skills improved a lot.
THIS IS YOUR SIGN, DO NOT TAKE CHEMISTRY WITH THIS PROFESSOR or you will fail the class. this professor is not even willing to help students pass her class, she doesn't even care if you fail the class. if you ask her a question all she's going to tell you is to go to blackboard. her test are extremely hard. doesn't tell u what to study.
Very helpful and caring. I really enjoyed being in her class.
Im going to say flat out anyone who doesnt try their best in this class and complains deserves the grade they get. Professor Mozsolits offers tons of extra credit for students to enhance their grades, she is kind and takes the time to guide you through her curriculum. If you try your best, study and attend class I dont see why you shouldnt pass
Do not take this professor. Her accent is strong and there is going to be times that you would not understand. When you ask her a question shell said go to blackboard.. and she is only reading the PowerPoint , you cannot learn from that. Trust me you are going to regret it.
Professor is really sweet, considerate, and understanding. Although the course is difficult, she makes every effort to make it as simple as possible. She offers video lectures on the topics covered in class if students need further clarification. Anyone taking chemistry for the first time should contact this professor. 10/10.
This Professor gives clear instructions for all of her material. I had a great semester.
I enjoyed this online class a lot. Dr. Mozsolits is such a great professor. She is very caring, helpful and understanding. She quickly responds to your questions. Her instructions, lecture notes and presentations are very clear and helpful. She also, give us very good tips that helps our study skills improves and success in our classes.
As I am soon finishing this semester, I realized the ample detail that the professor advises on what to expect on the exams. (BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAILS FROM HER WHICH STATE IT,) As well she gives many opportunities for extra credit. She cares for her students; however, If you are a bad test taker, I don't advise you to take her. Test Heavy.
Dr. Henriette provided a very clear curriculum and structured lectures. Everything on the exam are in the slides, and if they aren't she always lets us know so we can take a picture of said slide(these are usually important and do show up in the exams). She admires people who try to answer and cares for the students who care for the subject.
Mrs. Mozsolits is a great professor. She is always professional, respectful, caring and absolutely knowledgeable about the subject. She has helped me to appreciate chemistry more and open my understanding and awareness of chemistry. She went above and beyond to make sure we understood each topic and get a good grade on the tests. She is awesome .
I am currently taking her class & regretting it. Here is why I am in misery (in no particular order): 1.) Had no idea this was writing intensive 2.) Rushes through powerpoint presentations 3.) Answers your question by telling you to review more 4.) Actively insults students who do not do well on exams 5.) Does no review of any kind!!! Stay away!!
She is incredibly passive aggressive. When you ask her to explain something that you're confused about she is belittling and insulting about it and does not even explain properly. All she does in class is read of the power points and barely explains the content. Save yourself the trouble.
avoid yourself tears and stress and DO NOT TAKE HER FOR CHEM! everyone rating her was absolutely right.
This professor does not grade fairly, you can show up and do all the work and get good grades on all assignments but If you fail the exams she will make sure to fail you. She also does not care about her student's well-being at all she will constantly target you if she feels you don't care about the class.
This instructor lacks fairness in grading. Despite completing all assignments successfully, failing exams results in an overall failure. Furthermore, there is a lack of concern for the well-being of students, with targeted behavior towards those perceived as indifferent to the class. I put in my best effort, but I do not recommend this professor.
Dr.Mozsolits Chemistry class was truly exceptional. Her enthusiasm and clear explanation made each lecture engaging. Her support and guidence really boosted my confidence. I highly recommend her class . Get ready to read lot but that is part of the learning process. Her study tips and recorded lectures were also very helpful in preparing for exams.
I just finished my spring semester with her and it was an amazing class. She is very professional and offers so much extra credit opportunities. This is a fairly difficult class but she is very through with her lectures and offers guidelines for her exams. She really cares about her students and always offers to help.
The extra credit definitely saved a lot of people's grade. By 2 letter grades potentially. Chemistry is difficult in general, but I think this professor did a great job at explaining it to understand and the recorded lectures on blackboard helped for studying. She has a thick accent but if you stick with it, you adjust to it.
This professor will make you suffer, please stay away from her class. She rushed through all her PowerPoints and would react a certain way if you had any questions. If you are struggling and asked her for help, she would just tell you to review more or to read your textbook. Do not get fooled by these reviews and save you the stress.
This lady is a horrible professor. Please stay away from her class. If you prioritize your mental health and your overall well-being she will not do any type of reviews for exams. She doesn't let you look over your exams either she takes them away as soon as you see the grade. The most unfair grader I've ever seen. Will not help you at all.
Mozsolits is the worst professor I've ever had. I put in so much effort to study, but she's unfair and mean. When I asked for help, she just told me to 'study with classmates' instead of offering support. Her attitude is rude and unprofessional. She clearly doesn't care about her students and shouldn't be teaching at PCCC.
She speeds through everything with little to no detail on major topics and when asked for help just says to study the notes or contact her some other time. She has an extremely strict attendance and late policy, in the syllabus she says if you have someone in your family that passes she will not excuse you or allow you to make up the exam
I don't want to take class with her again
She only rereads the syllabus !
STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLASS IF YOU CAN!! Be ready to learn most of the material on your own and prepare for exams without much help—material not being covered. If you have questions, good luck figuring them out yourself, because she doesn't explain things clearly. She moves through the material super fast and expects a lot in a short amount of time.
prioritize your mental health by avoiding this professor.
Very strict and she moves way to fast for my brain to comprehend
This class was extremely difficult and very hard to pass. The professor made it harder than it actually was because she rushed throughout all the chapters & tested us like there was no tomorrow, not understanding at all.The first red flag should've been on the first day when she didn't even introduce herself and quickly rushed threw to chapter 4.
Professor runs a structured course with clear grading. Slides are given up front. Lab points are solid if you show up, participate, and meet deadlines. Lots of info each class, so consistent review + online resources/study group help. Final felt easier if you kept up. This is not an ez class u have to put in the work. Shes a very fair grader
