The minute you register for this class you can be sure that you will get an A or a B in ths class. Don't take him if you want to learn, but if you want an easy grade take him. He's a nice guy and will help you on the exams if you have trouble with questions.

Professor Custin is the absolute best! He teaches what you need to know for the test, not useless information. He's very understanding and is super lax on test dates. They're only 5 questions! I didn't even need to take notes. I took him for environmental science in the summer. My favorite professor at HCC. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I took him for Nutrition and Drugs. He treated it like it really wasn't important. I can honestly say I learned nothing from his class, but he was a nice teacher. I suggest that you only take Nutrition & Drugs with him if you're interested in an easy A and not interested in the topic. You won't need the book so don't buy it.

Prof Custin is not the kind of teacher you see in any other class. He accommodates for you. I studied for the lab test and I was suppose to be studding for lecture. So, he brought the lab test to lecture for me. I got a B in his class I could have gotten an A. I just needed to study more. Take him and study. You won't regret it.

took Nutrition&Drugs from him and got so much out of it. He made the subject relevant to each of us personally and told us why Nutrition was important in our lives . I used the text whenever I got confused and found it very helpful. He really cares about his students take him if you want personal attention and a respect for your nutritional health.

Took him for A&P 1 awhile ago. He was my favorite professor! Yes you have to study A LOT to do well, but if you need his help he's there for you. The class is interesting and he's one of the most caring and kindest professors you'll have at HCC. I would have taken him for more of my classes if I could!

I took this same Prof for Architecture at USF, what a surprise he was teaching Anatomy! He's the best you won't be disappointed he takes a real interest in every student helped me get an A. He said he was teaching Anatomy for non-majors next semester take him he's so interesting and helpful one of my favorite all time Profs!

This Teacher is Great i have not even finished the class but had to shout him HES, really there for you if you want to learn study for his test and you will be fine, he teaches concepts so you can really get to know what hes teaching he is willing to help you pass if you show him you want it bad enough. The type of teacher to help you if you reach out to him. He may not always give you the clearest answers but he does try to point you in the right direction. He sometimes gets off topic, which wastes valuable time, but he does it to lighten the mood of the class and get people to laugh. He will help the people that want to be helped.

being a business major i wasn't into science taking a non major science course but he changed my opinion he is helpful and takes his time to explain some topics take him if you can he is very popular and classes fill up early and has long waiting lines

this guy is great he makes science relevant to us non scientists he tailors his lectures so he doesn't bore us with things not meaning ful to the non major skips right over that stuff and concentrates on what would be useful to us you can imagine we are soo grateful lectures are thorough with text as back up but i didn't need text i got everything

Professor Custin is fantastic. His lectures may not appeal to everyone ( I loved them), but he helps you to succeed. I am taking him again in the summer for A&PII!

I attended API and APII in summer (6wk). The class is difficult it's condensed . Study guide is helpful for test prep, as long as you study the concepts too. Very responsive when contacted. He is about helping students, Veteran friendly. You put effort in, it reflects if your borderline with grade. Hilarious, which helps greatly. Great guy.

This professor is amazing I took him at the Brandon campus for AP1 and AP1 Lab. He is very funny and his test aren't hard at all for the lab or lecture. However, when teaching he can get off topic a lot which can sometimes confuse some students. other than that I would recommend taking him, he cares about his students and wants you to pass :) .

Funny, down to earth and TRULY cares for his students grades and really wants you to get into whatever program youre doing. his study guides are really really good and help with the exams. I could've gotten an A if I had tried more, thats my fault not his. plus he drops the lowest test grade for both lecture and lab!!

I took Custin for all 4 of my Anatomy classes and passed with A's in everything. As long you try, you get what you work for. Drops lowest test grade which helps a lot since there are no other assignments.

take him he makes clear from beginning what is expected. most important though is use the study guides they cover the tests if you have trouble with them he helps you outside of class. he covers wide range of topics so sometimes hard to follow really opened my eyes you wont regret taking him truly cares for you

Best professor I have had hands down. Take him for as many classes as possible! His teachings seem a little unorthadox at times, its because hes actually teaching,asking questions and wants feedback unlike any other profesor. Show up to class as he tells you exactly what you need to know and sometimes will change up the dates for assignments.

He's probably the BEST professor that I have ever had. He is really funny so that makes the class a lot of fun and honestly, you are missing out if you don't take him.

He's done it yet again, took him this semester and passed with flying colors. He asks questions, he challenges your thinking and he expects you to learn outside of class. I wouldn't recommend any other professor, especially if you're trying to figure out if the medical field is for you.

Custin is kind of a boring lecturer but he gets the job done. Tests are heavily based on what is on the study guide so as long as you understand what is going on there, you will be fine. He does give some decent life advice though.

He told us when test days were and those were the only days I showed up. His study guides are identical to the tests. He wasn't a great teacher, but he wasn't the worst. Tests were the only grade (5 lecture, 4 lab) so print out the study guide for lecture and look at the powerpoint slides for lab. He is definitely an easy A.

Prof. Custin is the only professor I've ever had that cares about students. His goal is to TEACH us the subjects, not just have us memorize it. I've taken two of his classes and will be taking a third next semester. He makes sure we understand topics, before moving on. Uses Zoom and chat, depending on the class. Study guides for every test.

i wasnt sure about online we moved slowly from chat to zoom it got much better he tries so hard to make sure you understand the stuff you can feel he cares i would take him for all my classes always reviewing nothing on tests we hadnt seen before cant help but get an A im taking him for AP II also helped me outside of class

online sucks but this prof did everything he could to make it better we went from chat to zoom to a combination of the two at least he was accessible outside he answered all my emails its like teaching yourself with his help outside he cares if you have to take an online class take him at least he tries and seems to care funny guy too

Very good professor and would definitel take his class again. Granted, anatomy is a tough subject but he makes it as easy as it can be. AP1 had 5 tests and he dropped the lowest grade. He has a tendency to go off on tangents during lectures but will make sure you have the important concepts down. Textbook not used, he provided notes and powerpoints

i was skeptical taking online class but i trusted what he said in his intro first day of class and he did class is well organized even does zoom meetings when not required takes lots of time outside of class with me he's very specific and cares also gives us lots of insight into the field of nursing good practical stuff take him class closes fast

he made a difference in my life taking a hard course like anatomy completely online for only 6 weeks scared me and i started off poorly but he was willing to work with me he did zooms he didnt have to and personal zooms for me i got an A because he took the time to show me how to study cant wait to take ap II from him !

prof made a hard class online in short time easy he gave us step by step instructions for preparing and passing tests he even did zooms when this was complete online and didnt have to i bugged him almost everyday and he was always helpful made sure i got an A take him u wont regret it sign up early seats go fast

Professor Custin made it very easy to succeed in his class. He told me exactly how to study, so nothing on the exams were ever a surprise or caught me off guard. He was super accessible to answer questions via email. I wish he were offering APii for the second summer session!!

Exams are based off a study guide with around 100 or so ?s and then randomly pick 50 on test and lab is the same as the notes u CANT fail just show that u care and that u work hard and youll pass no other assignments just 5 exams and lab exams (same deal applies) a veeeery good teacher

great teacher, book is up to you. I liked to read due to some things didn't stick. You need good listening skills because his lectures get off topic and he rambles a lot. I found it interesting and amusing, he gives you realistic comparisons for anatomy and life situations which helped me understand more!

If you put in some effort you will pass. He is awesome. Highly recommend

Has a very good personality and tries to relate to his students and where they are in life. He helps each student he interacts with by giving good instruction, timely feedback, and honest accounts of what real world scenarios in the health and science fields. He is so amicable, and you get a chance to learn in an environment good for all.

Professor Hank is amazing and funny. If you follow his study guide and study it, you'll pass the exams. He reviews the material and answers if you come to class before the exams. Your grades are based on the exams, so there is no extra work to do.

He's a very understanding and caring professor. If you have any concerns or need help, he's very lenient and will try to make the course easier for you. Only graded on six tests, reviews cover all the answers, so make sure you go over them a couple of times.

Youre only graded by 4-5 exams. you have to study a lot but he goes over everything in depth. I respect this prof SO MUCH, he is truly one of the wisest people I have met. He offers help in exams. He offers retakes if you missed an exam. he curves and even lets you drop an exam. He automatically drops your worst exam at the end of the semester.

Professor Custin makes this tricky A&P class manageable. While his lectures can be hit-or-miss, the study guides are lifesavers. Supplement with resources like unstuckstudy and you'll be golden. Just stay on top of the material and you'll do well. Overall, a fair but challenging course.

Although lectures can be confusing at times, Professor Custin is very kind and. The study guides will save your life. HUGE curve on tests. Find yourself a study group in class and you'll be ok. He does everything in his power to make the super complex material as easy as humanly possible. Highly recommend if you need an A for a medical program.

Had him for Human Bio lec and lab, no other assignments but the tests (he gives a lot of answers and extra credit questions)! You only had to answer 25 of the questions on the test, the rest would be for extra credit and he drops a test. Very lecture heavy but he is entertaining, and is quick to answer any question you may have. Would recommend!

He's a cool teacher. Attending lecture isn't really mandatory, you will do a lot of learning on your own. You are given 5 exams, the 5th one is optional. It's easy to pass the class just follow the study guide and you should be good. I took him for anatomy 1 + 2.

One of the easiest professors I have ever had. He's real chill, sometimes goes on tangents or retells stories but he's easygoing and wants you to pass.
