He is extremely clear in lecture and very fair grading. Makes class actually fun, and intersting, every1 knows how boring phylosophy could be, but with someone that HOT, and I mean HOT! ....teaching! is very hard to fall asleep! u Go Mr. Mack!

Great Teacher not hard at all for someone who hates writing, as long as you can pay attention and during the final you basically restat what he says in class then ur good. SOmetime we read the chapters in class with him. I didn't read much just studied off my notes.

Yes, he's hot, but sometimes needy (kind of whiny at times) but all in a funny way. He talks faster than you can write. He's fair and definitely great on the eyes! WOW! Funny, interesting and helpful with interesting jokes/stories. HOT!

Mr. Mack is the most intelligent professor that teachs here at fiu! I came to class thinking ethics was about proper dining and learned so much more. This class is wonderfull and is reallu opens your mind up. He is also very caring about his students, if you show effort and attentiveness then you should do well!

This guy has an incredible way of making you believe in the material you are learning. He should probably be a preacher or something. I really wish he could teach every class. He was a little intimidating at first but turned out to be the most helpful professor I have ever had. Never a boring class, even when the topics are "supposed" to be boring.

Simply put, this guy is a great teacher. If you commit to the class and really want to listen you will leave with so much more knowledge on good, evil, God, and life in general. I learned so much from this class. very insightful. not an easy class by any means. tests are HARD. you must study otherwise prepare to fail. I highly recommend him.

This is Mendoza btw. Best and most informative class i have taken yet in college. A must for any student to really challenge themselves. Professor is beyond professional, beyond FIU in my op. Very well organized, easy going, and helpful. Just go to class and make your A.

This class has been the best part of my whole college experience. His class will open your mind and he will go deep into topics that most professors would avoid. He's a modern philosopher with an ancient view of ethics. There's a new level of enlightenment after every class.

He's an AMAZING professor, & I feel sorry for all students who didn't get to take him. Last spring he told me he was leaving FIU and I HOPE he changed his mind - lectures are great and very captivating. You don't only learn about philosophy, you learn about yourself in his class. Arguably, one of the most intelligent professors I've ever had!

This guy is great. Easy to talk to, helpful, really seems to care and have a connection with students. Very good proff. very interesting views, knows how to express himself. Does not make class hard, although he tries to impose the "right" view on u. But I agreed with him. Not to mention he's a total hottie & good eye candy.

INCREDIBLE CLASS! Definitely review notes and readings daily in order to stay on top of it, but not impossible. Opened my eyes to the world. Super knowledgeable. HOT. Would take any class offered by him. A challenge for sure, but you'll be glad you took it. :)

MACK is AMAZING! one of FIU's best. He makes the material understandable, always prepared, and clearly stated. He does not allow the student to lose the key insights of the philosopher however. Great class! Take him!

If you want to learn an immense amount of information while having fun, take Mack's class. He is my favorite professor I have had so far, incredibly intelligent, insightful, understanding, witty and a great sense of humor! Always has answers to questions, engages students, always reviews over topics you do not understand.

I really don't care for Philosophy or Ethics, so honestly I didn't really enjoy this class. He tries to be interactive, but he doesn't make you feel very comfortable when you speak. Tests are fairly easy- if you have any common sense. A midterm, research paper, and final- nothing else. Very contradicting and annoying subject.

This guy was helpful, informative, and clear!!! AMAZING PROFESSOR! I DON'T know what the heck the last two comments are talking about!!! Mack was great. He helped me formulate my essay, met with me to re-read the readings, all you need to do is ask! Fantastic class. Thanks Mack!!!!

Good teacher and easy A. Just study the package he gives you. But, he has the tendency to randomly pick on people and ask their opinion on certain matters. This is okay but I am shy, I have a hard time. But he is a really nice guy. I'd recommend him.

He is an amazing professor, extremely intelligent and very helpful. For the class you only need a $10 course packet. Plus he's super HOT

He is BEAUTIFUL. the class was interesting but pretty confusing with all of the contradictions. just show up to class and take a lot of notes and you will be prepared. he is funny and lenient. awesome teacher highly recommend him. As already mentioned we used a packet instead of a book.

Super helpful and clear. He seems to appreciate that it's an intro class. Philosophy is hard. You should attend class and keep up with the readings. He's easy to talk to. Funny too.

I ended up with a C+ but only because I deserved it. His class is no easy ride but it is one, if not THE best classes I've had at FIU. He's clear, funny and brilliant. He makes it interesting and easy to understand. Much reading and studying is required though!!! Don't be fooled. Miss ya Macky!!!

Dr.Mack is an INCREDIBLE and BEAUTIFUL teacher. He has a genuine passion for teaching and truly cares about his students learning. His methods of teaching are brilliant and his lectures are hilarious. You will not regret taking this class! Not to mention he has the face of an angel!

He's a cool guy and he is a hottie! At first I was intimidated by him but I gave it a chance and did the readings. It's not alot, he likes to discuss more then anything and he likes it when you show you did the readings. If you got a question wrong on the midterm, think about your debate cause he'll give points if you can show the contradiction.

Mack is a great guy. Very lenient and rather helpful guy. The material of the class was definitely not easy, but he helps you understand it better by sending summaries of the material learned once every few classes. Took him for another class as well that went great too. Go to class, don't be an idiot, and you will pass. I recommend Prof Mack.

Hilarious, brilliant, and actually cares about students. His lectures are really condensed and he goes fast. Bring a laptop and pay attention. All test questions come directly from the notes. One of FIUs best! Loved him.

This freshman honor's class is overall pretty easy. He started off tough and scary but soon mellowed out and is now pretty chill about assignments. Interesting class although his talk on philosophy is kinda boring.

His medieval philosophy course was challenging and interesting. He does a great job of keeping one's interest in the topics. He's laid back and informal, making it easy to ask questions and discuss readings.

Great intro class. He's super busy and is sometimes difficult to pin down but if you do the readings and participate in class you should be fine. Really interesting readings and lectures. A lot of responsibility is on you though to keep up.

Teacher is a cool guy, really all over the place sometimes. There's a 50% of a sub teacher coming in for your class lecture. When he's there, gives good lectures. Maybe he had a lot on his plate this semester, but the Prof Mack was rather vague with assignments.

Professor Mack is a chill guy, easy grader, easy to talk to, but he makes you write!! If you try your best you will definitly pass. Attend your lectures because he will dumb down the readings since they're hard to understand. But I definitly recommend since he's a good professor and he actually cares about us you guys, so you will NOT fail!!

Learned a ton. Excellent lectures and discussions. He goes quick but if you keep up on the readings you're guaranteed an A. Exam was all essay.

This subject is hard BUT he made it so fun going to class! Always joking with us and he's young and hot too lol. I had trouble the entire semester but he always helped me out! He really cares about his students passing!!! Its not easy, he makes you work for it, but he definitely was the best professor for a subject so difficult!

For a subject I terribly hate, Mackie made it super interesting! As mentioned, go to class and he will definitely dumb down the readings and summarize them. Midterm & Final(cumulative) & 7-10 page term paper. Always there for you whenever you need help. Gave us a study guide prior to every exam and as long as you did it, you were good for the exam

He is a true teacher. If you try you will succeed. He is smart and humble and patient. I left the class with a tremendous respect for the man. Read a lot and had to put in a lot of effort but I passed with an A.

Its difficult to describe Henry Mak with 150 words. Rewarding course, lectures are as difficult as the reading and can help you develop a deeper understanding for life in general. Totally fluid and passionate speaker so he really sounds like an excerpt from greek philosophy around 350 BC but poetic at the same time. Super knowledgable on readings.

He's very funny, really hot, so sitting in class for 2 hours wasn't so bad. You definitely have to read but its actually interesting. Lenient on grades for the most part.

One of the best classes i have taken so far at FIU. really interesting and if you put effort in it you can get a lot. You have to read, 2 exams, a few quizzes and one paper. He is phenomenal, makes the class really interesting. Totally worth it, take this class!

Literally one of the best professors i have had. His lectures are amazing and the class is never boring. Class is pretty easy, consists of 1 research paper, midterm, final, and a quiz or two. He really knows what he is talking about. I would take his class again if i could!

One of the best professor at FIU. He made the class super fun and interesting. A lot of reading but interesting. 2-3 group quizzes, mainly on true or false. Midterm and a final and he provides study guide for those and if you focus on the study guide then you will definitely receive an A. One final research easy super easy don't sweat it.

At first this class may seem overwhelming since the professor asks that you read a lot.. but you dont have to because his lectures sum up everything you need to know (so it's very important that you go). Group quizzes, a couple 1 pg papers and a final 6 pg essay. If you go to class then it's an easy A. Take him.

Prof. Mack was pretty lenient and knows what he's talking about, although sometimes he comes off as a bit pretentious. He is conventionally attractive, I won't deny. He's simple and to the point, his lectures sum up the reading, and his tests aren't very hard, and the papers are all pretty simple. Pay attention and ask questions, & you're gucci

What she said below. Mack is great. The only bad thing is that you can't afford to miss a class. You get behind and he often assigns things and clarifies things, so just suck it up. Plus he's funny and lectures are interesting anyway. So it aint bad.

Hes a very nice man. The class pretty much is just a midterm essay test and a final essay test, with an extra credit essay. You need to make sure you do well on those, however he is an easy grader so in order to pass you literally need to write your opinion and make sure the definitions are correct.

He's great! We only had 3 posts online (500-700 word min), 1 quiz, a midterm and final. He literally gives you a copy of the midterm to take home and study. We had only one quiz this semester (he cancelled the other one) and we did it as a group. He really wants everyone to pass and get the credit plus his lectures aren't long. He's a cool guy

Honestly, best class ever. 3 discussion posts, like 2 quizzes that we did as a group, and his lectures are cut in half. Super cool guy, and he's a bit funny, though pretentious. Would take him again, and textbook was honestly not needed, you could google the definitions and pass.

The only assignments you have in this class are writing assignments. There are no tests, quizzes, nor midterm/final. I finished the class with an A, and be ready to read a lot from the textbook in order to be successful.

Take this prof he is super easy and super understanding. All the assignments are based off the book but there is no tests just some discussion posts and a final essay.

Six papers throughout the semester on class readings, book report is the final. Don't buy the textbook, most philosophy articles/books can be found online. Lengthy word minimums and lots of writing (it's a GRW course), but prof. is not a hard grader and can be flexible with minimums. Prof. was super easy to reach and understanding of late work!

I finished this class with a 100. Ethics involves a lot writing but it is not difficult. No midterm or final exam. Just a final paper (only 1500 words). Professor Mack answers emails very quickly!

He was super flexible with late work. He grades everything 100 as long as you do it. You can go under the word count and hell give u 100. The material is actually super interesting. There are no tests. The final is a book review and you get to choose the book. 10/10

Not easy to reach, sent a message once and never heard back. It's a GRW class so lots of writing for every assignment. Not too many assignments but the writing minimum is long. Have to reply to classmates or your grade will be impacted. Be ready to write & you have to read the book for the assignments and quote the book.
