BEST OF THE BEST! This guy is hilarious and knows what he's saying. Come to this class if your having a bad day because you're gonna get a good laugh out of his lectures. He's also very helpful and energetic. You can have the longest sports discussion of all times with this guy (trust me)

Luv this guy!!!Although kine 1000 sucks, i loved the way he was teaching and trying to ge the message thru. He was a great relief after Fusco. If it wasn't for him, i'd start skipping kine 1000 lectures. I couldn't take Fusco anymore.

He made coming in on monday mornings at 8:00am worth wile. Very funny guy..not much of a professor..more like a stand up comic. The material he covers is straight forward and obvious.

He is a very friendly person and excellent teacher since I had him for Kine 1000. In volleyball 1 he was way too techniqual and not much attention was placed on the enjoyment of just coming to class and playing volleyball. He was tough on the beginners and expected them to be as good as the people that have had the experience in volleyball before.

He's an such an amazing person. He's the first prof at York to learn my name and take an interest in me as a student. His lectures are focused and he stays on topic with interesting life stories. His passion is an inspiration to future teachers. (I like the accent too!)

He is the best professor i had at York first semester. Always keeps the lectures fun as he adds in current events and alot of class discussions. Great attitude and easy to get along with. A hard ass when it comes to deadlines and marks though.

I really loved this PKIN, I learned so much from Hernan and he really made the class a lot of fun. I would recommend this PKIN to anyone. Simply put, he is a great guy and we still talk when we bump into each other on campus. TO bad he doesn't teach other PKINS.

Prof Humana is simply put a fun teacher that makes going to an 8:30 class not as painful; the material is boring as hell, but he provides all info summaries and stuff he talks about on webct =D Don't need to go to classes cuz its all on webct afterwards, just takes while for him to put it up. I would reccommend this prof for 1st year Kin-ers!

A+ for his enthusiam although lectures aren't in his exams.. do the readings and recall certain sentences from certain paragraphs and you'll pass the exam. Don't waste your time going to lecture, just stay home & do the readings and you'll be fine.

He is a great professor! Loves to teach, makes every class fun. Kine 1000 was a blast because of him and it was only bad when one of his co professors would lecture instead of Hernan. The exams in this class are pretty hard though but the assignments are easier then the exams.

had him for volleyball, but we became friends and this guy is great. He had big shoes to fill by taking over KIN 1000 from Malzecki (Destination Graduation). Caring man, has hard job of motivating first year students, has passion for teaching!

I took KINE 100o & 3620 -loved them both (except for when we had THE guest lecturer in 1000.she's a whole different story.) But Hernan is just amazing. Prior to his classes I though sociology was a waste of time, but now I love this stuff, and it's all due to his untiring enthusiasm in his subject. Love him! Hernan, if you're reading this, THANKS!

The only thing I dislike is that he was sometimes a bit repetitive with his lecture content. But all in all, great prof. We need more like him at York.

Good lecturer but theres actually pretty low yield stuff in his lectures that dont really relate to the course. Hernan is an amazing professor. I learned so much in that class, I would have remained very ignorant without it. Study hard and read the course kit, the exam is fair if you study. Lectures may seem useless at times as he tends to go off topic but if you're smart you'll realize it is all meant to help you connect the info. Best prof at york.

BEST PROF AT YORK BY FAR.

Prof Hernan is an enthusiastic and inspiring person! I'm very grateful he was the very first prof (8:30 amMonday) to welcome us formally into our university career. He always makes class a great place to be, as we do learn a lot! He has a lot of personal stories to share, and sincerely GREAT at his job! One of the greatest profs at YorkU.

Simply put Professor Humana has awesome lectures but you need to definitely do the readings (before class preferably) to get something out of the course. Its the usual input-output formula you could say. Can be somewhat harsh on a student asking a question and his opinion on matters may rub some the wrong way for sure. Its all dependent on you.

Professor Humana is a very enthusiastic person which really helps in a course like KINE 1000, he tells some fun stories in the lectures, and is a very approachable person. He can be a little confusing sometimes, like not finishing his sentences or changing the topics very quickly but overall he is a great prof. Make sure to attend the lectures tho

Honestly his teaching style is pretty irritating. He talks way to much about things not relevant to the concepts. Overall nice guy but its difficult to follow along when he's all over the place.

Read his book.

Had him for KINE 1000. Easily gives the best lectures compared to Saffai and Nakamura. He knows how to keep the lectures entertaining and even does some fun demonstrations. You must keep up with readings during the year or else you will fall behind.

Glad I took this course with Professor Humana this semester. His lectures once again never failed to keep me awake in the morning as they did in KINE 1000. Doing well in his class is the simple formula of going to class, participating, asking questions when you have them, and doing the readings. Midterm and final are fair in difficulty.

Favorite Professor at York! Professor Humana is amazing! His lectures are always so clear and extremely engaging. He always goes off on little tangents that are so interesting! He's hilarious too! Also, sit in the front and participate! If he learns your name you'll probably get perfect on participation.

Hilariously Easy Midterm, show up to class and it's a 90+. Take Home essay exam thats given a week before exams begin so no stress there. It was a great course, laid back and more like an open discussion. Humana is a great, caring person. Seriously, take it if you have the chance

Great prof. Very engaging during lecture, I never got bored in his class. Also, very easy mid-terms

KINE 1000 at times felt like a sociology course (which it is). Hernan is very enthusiastic about his material and he is respected. With that being said, his content is not needed. The tests are all multiple choice and his questions tend to be easy. You have to work for an A/A+ and make sure you do well on the essays.

He gives the advice not to memorize anything to do well but to understand and that will 100% get you an A on every single test. Listen to it. Read the readings and relate it to the concepts, don't worry about memorizing any useless powerpoint information, background on the individuals, history, etc. Read the book, listen and you will be fine.

Professor Humana is an okay lecturer. This class is more like an open discussion, however his organization is not good as he lecturers on random things and there is no structure to the lectures and he doesn't really provide lectures that deliver information on his power points. This course content is not difficult but he makes more difficult.

He is a very good lecturer. He seems passionate about what he teaches. Very nice and approachable. I would definitely recommend taking kin1000 with him. I had morning classes but always looked forward to his lectures.

One of the best profs in kinesiology department. He is patient , coll and a great lecturere. I had 2 courses with him and looking forward for the third one. Highly recommend his courses if you are interested in sociology.

KINE 3440 is not only a really fun class, but it is also very interesting if you are into sports and learning about the history of the Olympic games. The content is very put together and the two essay papers made writing a lot less boring to do. Highly recommend this class if your a KINE major and need extra 3000 or above courses.
