A hard teacher. This is not a class for slackers. He knows so much stuff, and his tests really cover a lot, but if you read the books and at least sort of pay attention in class, you'll be ok. Great teacher if you want to learn. There are three text books, plus his lectures, all of which cover different materials. If you are trying to take an easy, no work class, like most of the other students, then you will be very disappointed. If you want to learn and are willing to work, you couldn't ask for a better, more interesting us gov class. Dr. Arnold is very accommodating, and you can have very interesting conversations in his office. Do the work, get an A, simple

Buying the online book instead of hard copy is a lot easier to pass the tests because you can use the search bar to find certain parts of the book the question asks. Lectures were not interesting whatsoever.
