Holy Cow! Mr. Shepard is the greatest english teacher. He is just funny and can really relate with younger adults. He also loves comic books so he is kind of a big kid. The man wrote a 68 pg. Thesis Paper on Batman Comics. He is great.

You may write about 4 to 5 different papers. You dont have a final exam. Well, you final exam is your last paper about compare and contrast. He is really helpful when it comes down to writing a paper.

I took SHEP, for both enc 1101 and enc 1102, the classes are fun and the test are easy, the professor expects well written essays though, but he will help you with them. He is great professor and if you get into trouble he will always be there to help. Be prepared to work your but off for an A but it is an easy B.

Shep definitly is the professor to talk for any ENC class. I had him for ENC 11o1 and am taking him for ENC1102. He is so helpful and gives more than enough time to finish papers and lets you revise every paper to boost your grade. Just remember to read the stories out of the mercury reader book for the 5-10 question quizes. they are sooooo easy.

Best teacher I've ever had. I wish everyone was as helpful as he was. Made up random sentences that will not only make you laugh but wonder how he comes up with them. Remember that robots and toasters make a nice pair! :) You will defiantly learn. Best you make it to everyone of his classes that way you know whats going on and can easily pass tests

I took Shepard for Enc 1102. I wish I had taken him for 1101 as well. He is extremely helpful and wants you to succeed. His essay are not simple but he will give you all the help needed to hammer out an A. His assigned readings are important in understanding what he wants in your papers so be sure to read them.

Shep is an awesome professor! I didn't take him for 1101 so I have another FSCJ ENC Prof to compare him to, and this class is great. Take it! you won't regret it.

He was a great professor. Quiz every class (5-10 questions) on the assigned readings. four essays total, including one in class essay. All of which you get the chance to revise and turn back in for a better grade. Attendance is mandatory, but you'll like going. Overall GREAT teacher!

I took him for ENC1101, and I am registered to take his 1102 class in the fall as well. For 1101 you have to write a few papers, quizzes over weekly reading, and a couple tests. highly recommend.

Shep is an amazing professor! He'll help his students anytime in and out of class and his lectures are incredible and hilarious. There are 4 papers in the class (2-4 pages long) and one short paper on the final. All quizes and the final are multiple choice.

I took Shep for both 1101 and 1102. I suggest taking both classes with him, but his 1102 class was my favorite. Highly interesting material and his charisma and personality draw you into lectures. I have taken all the classes Shep does and I literally could not ask for a better professor. He really really cares about his students and does his best to help you on any assignment you have. He is hilarious and makes class interesting and he is SUPER approachable and relatable (he's a huge nerd). I wish he was my professor for all of my classes!

Shep's a great teacher. He does give quizzes from the book at the beginning of almost every class so make sure you read the material. He gives a total of 5-6 essay papers throughout the term but he let's you fix any mistakes you make on them. He's a fun teacher and tells funny stories and do not get him started on any comic books. LOL

I was recommended to take his class by my sister, but after taking it I would run into people who would always recommend Prof. Shepard - even students from different campuses!

Turned what I thought would be a Writing grind into an enjoyable experience. His enthusiasm for teaching shines through, and made a class I was dreading into a my favorite class of the semester. If you have the chance, you won't regret having Shep as your professor.

This is actually the first class I signed up for and I don't regret it at all. I'm honestly still taking the class but I couldn't help but give a good review with how helpful Dr. Shepard has been. This class overall has made me remember just how creative you can be with writing. I have one other teacher that I won't name that seems the opposite.

Hes really a great professor. He made class such a fun environment. I would easily recommend him. He is the type of professor that helps you pass not watches you fail. Its a very interactive class. You have maybe 5 essays overall but he helps you with all of them. You have to read and take a small quiz almost every class.

Hardly any homework I took him for ENC 1101 and he was by far one of my favorite teachers. Sadly I didnt get to take him for ENC 2 because the class was full. Lectures everyday you attend class and I only remember writing 4 essays I believe... if you have trouble with anything he will help you!!

Best English Professor ever! This class had to be moved online due to COVID-19 and he adjusted wonderfully! He made the work very clear and did not overwork us. Lectures were entertaining and made me want to go to class. I only had to write 4 papers and they were on topics that I found exciting (movies, tv shows, and commercials.)

Professor Shepard was AMAZING. There is a total of 6 papers and 8 quizzes. In the beginning, it feels like a lot but it gets easier! You are able to send the first page of your paper to him and he will revise it for you. He genuinely cares and adds a lot of helpful corrections to your paper. Great Professor! Always willing to help, offers optional weekly meetings. Took his class online all assignments are due sunday's typically, the book is used weekly and no more than two assignments due a week. 4 essays including a final essay! Definitely recommend.

I took Shep's ENC1101 class and he was by far the best professor I have ever had. His classes were inspirational. I learned so much in his class that has helped me with my other classes. He was pretty lenient on those that missed some days. I can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. Shepard is very outgoing and very passionate. He gives good feedback on essays. He gives you 2 extra credit opportunities to revise 2 paper, do them. Lectures aren't mandatory, but they are worth attending. You learn a lot from the lectures. He assigns 4 papers, all based on pop culture. And yes, Dr. Shepard is into pop culture.

He was my first professor in college. I was very nervous to start but he was amazing with making first time students feel comfortable. He is a tough grader but gives good feedback. lectures aren't mandatory but are WORTH attending. He has a true passion for what he does. HIGHLY recommend this professor.

Shep is an amazing professor! He is extremely patient and understanding and will often stay late for his students. I would recommend him to anybody! The classwork can be a little overwhelming if you are taking his 7-week courses if you are working as well. A good amount of homework is essays, but the topics are interesting and flexible
