He is a good and easy but strict professor. His exams are not surprising and only comes from what covered in the class. You should know how to use Excel if you want to be good in his class.

Definitely a model for what professors should be. Cares about the students a ton, is solid on his knowledge and knows how to present material that is relevant in the real world. Could come across as very egocentric though. Take for whatever possible.

I took his online class. Reading his notes were very informative and interesting. When I met him, he was the nicest guy ever! His final was fairly easy (got an A), and I suggest him to anyone, and I plan on taking another class with Prof. Friedman!

I took his internet class, his exam was fair just read the notes and the slides (dont bother with the book) he also gives a curve, also if you have any questions you can email him he gets back to you right away. I definitly recomend this class.

All of his exams are based on the class discussions. Funny guy, quotes Seinfeld episodes all day. Don't buy the textbook it's worthless for his class. If you attend every class and go on a couple of BC sponsered fairs he'll give you extra credit. Go on his website to get practice exams very helpful.

Hard class, and tons of notes. Make sure you go to every lecture.

We had a 100% final and it could be very stressful but as long as you read the online notes it is enough. Final was 50 MC questions and I'm sure there was a small curve. Don't think of cheatting, do the reading and you will do great. After all there's nothing else, no project, no HW. This online course was much easier than I thought.

I took him for his internet course and thought it was great. He posts all his notes online and responds to emails you send him within the hour. The test is a bit hard so just study his notes. It comes from there. There was a nice curve. Overall, I rate the internet course as an A

people, the guy before who was dissing out the professor and the class, should be ashamed of himself, it was probably some guy who didnt care or is mad lazy--he prob got in the 20s on the exam...but anyways this professor is a must take-ppl ur foolish if u dont, i mean afterall this is a course of key terms- nothing else! and theres a huge curve!

He explains everything very well and truly is a great teacher. He doesn't make you memorize formulas. The only problem was that he changed the format of the final from the previous years (a LOT harder) so he couldn't post a review on his site. He is VERY strict about homework, attendants, and being late to class. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. I would recom.

The material was clear and understandable. He is rude and will make you feel stupid when you ask him questions. You must come to class or you will be lost. I passed, but couldn't understand where he got my grade from also. He said there was a curve but he had to forget to add it, because I surely didn't see it.

Dont listen to anyone's bad reviews they were just angry because they wanted an A but did no work and put in no effort to get it. Great professor, always helpful

Can be slighlty rude and arrogant but is clear, will explain very thoroughly, and has a good sense of humor. really knows what he is teaching and gives the student many ways to get the material.

Awesome professor! Goes through each topic with so many examples that you're bound to get it. A very hard working person, watch the line outside his door and you'd understand the life he lives. On idiosyncrasy: during midterm he unknowingly gets everyone nervous when he runs around in a frenzy. But easily overlooked when speaking of a great man.:)

Great Professor. I just took him and got an A. All the readings are online so you don't have to buy the book. Interesting class. A midterm and a final which he curves. Definitely take it and you wont regret it if you want to learn alot and also get a good grade, once you read the material

Excellent Professor. Very clear but can say things in a rush sometimes. He is always open to questions and will slow down if you ask him to. Lecture notes are online and very helpful. Midterm and final is curved. Gets the class very interested and motivated.

The online class is excellent. There is no work, just the final which is very easy. the material is very interesting. Definitely take him.

A C in graduate classes is bad. I got a B, this teacher is great but you have to earn your A. He does challenge you.

Great Prof. - Not too bad looking, shops at SYMs and has some really nice sport-jackets. Loves statistics and really motivates the class, does alot of in-class work/problems and his online material is very helpful.

Extremely easy on-line course. The notes were the basis for the test and the exam was not hard at all (took me an hour for 50 multiple choice questions). I ended up with an A. One exam determines the grade. He also answers e-mail right away and is always there to help if you have any questions. A must take!!!

Online winter class. No midterm, a one-page paper and an in-school final. Also 4 quizzes on Blackboard. His notes were concise and clear, I felt very prepared for the final. Attendance is required, Don't buy the book (because the notes are online, and do your HOMEWORK. He is really good at teaching a hard subject, but he really takes HW seriously. Took his online class. It was very fair and easy. Text was not needed, everything you need to know is in his lecture notes. Discussion board every other week, one big paper,2 1-2 page assignments and a final. Curves the final. He gives you a practice exam to study from and that helped a lot. Got an A. Great class, not too much work.

BUSN3100 online course. Workload consists of online quizzes (easy) based on the chapter reading. 10 questions, multiple choice, timed 30 minutes. About 4-5 short papers must be written. Very lenient grader on papers. I'm bad at writing and I've got 3.5 and higher on all of them out of 4.0. No midterm, just a final. Curves. Received an A-. Take him.

is a short, fat, weird, somewhat unfunny, bald guy who told us he broke his toilet seat and how he bought a new one! all kidding aside, he is an EXCELLENT professor. JUMP to take him for stats, no memorization of formula's, it's all on a sheet you bring to class! you can tell he really loves stats and it shows in his exceptional teaching skills.

He is an excellent teacher. Even though I got a C+ in his class, I would highly recommend him for Statistics. Just make sure that you show up for class AND, above all else, hand in your assignments the way he INSTRUCTED you to. Otherwise, he will make you, and possibly the class (if enough people mess up) do the assignment all over again!

Professor Friedman is a short and funny professor. Very helpful. makes class kind of fun and interesting! Has his own website with handouts and practice exams with the answers to self-check. No need of textbook and memorizing formulas. I totally recommend Professor Friedman!! Such an EXCELLENT professor!!

One of the best professors in Brooklyn College... BY FAR! I didn't get my grade yet, but he makes sure you understand EVERYTHING.

It was a pleasure having him. Even though he goes off topic in his lectures, he gives helpful ideas and definitions on will be on the midterm and final. His lectures are very interesting. The midterm and final are curved.

Grade based on hw assignments & 3 non cumulative tests. Gave one extra credit assignment. Recommend you do the practice test on bb b4 a test. Tests are not easy, but he curves based on class avg. No textbook needed. I'm always late to class so I miss the beginning of his lectures and hw checking, but I managed. Highly recommend him for statistics.

I this course as an intro to statistics with no prior knowledge of the material. He have us 3 exams. . I actually learned a lot about stats from his course and tutored 2 other students. After my first 86 exam grade it all went down hill afterwords. His exams are WAY too tricky and full of typos & errors. I did a lot of studying and get a C- (awful)

He is a great professor, takes difficult information and makes it applicable and relevant, he is a must take. He is fair, his exams are hard but you will learn a lot. I took him twice and enjoyed his class.

Overall a good professor. He goes through the material quick sometimes and expects you to understand it, but as long as you pay attention and take notes you should be fine. He grades you based on three tests which he has practice exams for on blackboard, and homework every week. I recommend to go through the practice exams and don't miss class.

Professor Friedman clearly enjoys his job. He does it well, and loves nothing more than to talk about it after hours.

This professor is a great professor. Pay attention in class, do his homework, study before exams, and you'll do well. He allows his formula sheet on exams, but he requires a clean formula sheet. He grades you based on percentile in class, so make sure you do well.

Fredman is honestly a great professor. He is always willing to go over any questions needed to be clarified. Gives about 2 homework problems but doesn't check them (he will tell you if so). His tests are very fair, LOOK OVER STUDY SHEETEASY A.

He's an amazing professor. He has his own website with all his notes and reviews for his tests. You have to go to the online lectures because if you don't you'll be left behind. He answers all question and emails. H's very clear at explaining how to solve each problem. As long as you attend class and study for test, you should get an A.

Professor Friedman under the new distance learning format has availed himself to the students and is an all around great professor. He has awesome informative lectures and I could feel he really has a passion for what he teaches. He provide awesome resources in the course in order for students to achieve success

I took this class online and he was a VERY good teacher. HOWEVER not a nice grader!!! There is no partial credit and NO handouts. I recommend you take a good look at (and pick) any other professor for a decent grade (an A, even). But if you really want to learn about statistics he is the best option. For a good grade, take someone else!!! TRUST ME.

I think he is a good professor. If you want to get a good grade you have to go to class and master practice exams. No hard homework.

Prof. Friedman is an excellent professor has the ability to break down the most intimidating material in a logical way. I've heard from academic counseling that this course is one that students have a lot of trouble with. However Professor Friedman is dedicated to teaching and I was able to learn a lot. His online website is an invaluable resource.

if youre down to study all the time and PAY ATTENTION, you will do GREAT. statistics in general is quite difficult but with the right professor and proper determination, getting a good grade is quite easy. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PAY ATTENTION AND BE VISIBLE ONLINE. he says some nonsense things buti have to say, he is a great teacher.

Please ignore the negative feedback. Professor Friedman is a great teacher. You will learn the basics of statistic in his course. If you pay attention in class, practice for the exams. This class will be super easy.

Prof Friedman was excellent, get ready to learn and don't expect to float by cheating with AI- does tend to go off on a tangent during lectures but I call that personality. Great professor overall.

The bad side is that ur grade is only based on the midterm & final. 2 homeworks, not a part of ur grade, but he will drop ur grade if u dont do them.
