I really did not like this class at all. The tests were very confusing and although he is a very nice guy; his class is something to be desired. The subject matter is very easy but it seems like because it is so easy, professors try to make it confusing or else every one would just receive an A. Studied a lot to receive a B.
he was a nice guy but no variety in the class. there were 2 group projects: case analysis & marketing plan. he expected both to be very detailed. no exams but there is a final, which is a case analysis. no one knew how their grades because we didn't get them until the week before finals. professor is knowledgeable and very helpful.
Nice Professor..tries to make lecture more appealing. Teaching is pretty basic..
Pretty straight forward. Definitely need the book, tests are combination of definitions and lecture, along with scenarios. I hoped for a more hands on approach to marketing...Doesn't offer much extra credit, so if you mess up, it will be hard getting your grade back up.
the class was pretty easy and attendance wasn't manditory. he grades on 2 group presentaions and a case analysis for the final. i bought the book but you could get away with copying just the csaes needed from a friend. he was very nice and helpful.
This guy is really cocky and unfair, do yourself a favor if you actually want to learn something.
Very nice. Interesting lectures with good examples. Lots of class interaction so you can understand. Can be funny. Exams are not too bad. Barely read book and got a B by using his notes. Scenario questions are the hard ones.
This professor was semi hard. Must study to do good in the exams. His lectures are interesting. Defenitely recommend this professor, I enjoyed the class.
Great Professor.... he wears designer clothing and tries to be hot.... He is interesting and knowledgeable about MKTG. Tests are from lectures, attendance is mandatory, the book is cheap and worth it. If you're a MKTG major I recommend holding on to the book for future use.
Teacher was late to class because he ripped his tight pants. Dont need most recent edition of book because he doesnt follow it to the letter anyway. A lot of test questions werent covered in class. Pay attention to in-class videos because test questions ask things that have nothing to do with marketing like "What was the actors name in the video?"
He is an excellent professor, very interesting lectures and enjoyable class. Helpful study guides and a couple assignments, and there is also some quick 10-15 minute research that you have to do. Study for your exams from the notes you take. I highly recommend him.
I have to say that this Professor was disappointing. I had the enthusiasm to learn the material, but the quality of relevance from his exams to the topic of marketing was obscured. The exams' approaches were tricky & actually deal with psychology more than plain MKTG knowledge. As a result, the class' median exam scores suffered.
Enjoyable class, but attendance can be quite butt-numbing with little to no break at all!!! Midterms aren't too difficult, but tricky indeed. Review your class notes, scan through the text, and video notes. Out of 340 pts scale, you can't afford to miss a whole lot with no curve in place. Definitely a refreshing, highly fashionable teacher to take!
Summer09. Talks bout high-end designers like LV & Saks as examples for the material. Tests are tricky so use the online quizzes bc theyre helpful. No e.c. No curve. Attendance not mandatory but used to bump u up to next letter grade if ure close. midterm, final, print ad assignment (first time he implemented). dont know if he'll continue with it.
He was just an ok professor. Took him in the summer. Notes are all over the place so it was kind of hard to follow, 2 exams, and a fairly easy advertisement project. Like everyone said, tests are tricky. Use the online quizzes to study. I was disappointed with his style of teaching and wouldn't take him again.
He is an awesome teacher. Very enthusiastic and easy to learn from. There are 3 exams, 2 small assignments and mktg research (which is really nothing). He is very stylish and i wish i could take him for every mktg class!
hes super understanding
Very good lecturer who uses great examples to get his point across. A lot of classroom participation kept things interesting. Participation isn't required though, but he does pass around a roll-sheet. Grade based of pop quizes(T/F), 3 exams, 2 assignments, and 2 studies. All pretty easy. Use his study guide and notes in-class, easy A
His exams are very tricky. Your grade are based on quizzes(8), exams(2), assignments(2), research participation (20 points), and a final exam. The grades are based on 90%-A, 80%-B, 70%-C, etc (no curve).
Great professor! He doesn't use any powerpoints so you have to take down everything he says, but if you pay attention, you will really get what he is trying to each. He is very helpful before/during/after class. Attendance is mandatory because he uses that as a tool at the end of the semester to bump up your grade. He inspired me to be a MKTG Major
he's pretty inspirational, i actually enjoyed going to his class as opposed to other business classes. 10 T/F quizzes, 3 multiple choice exams, 1 group project. all quizzes/exams were based off the book (check out the textbook's online study guide for practice quizzes).
He is such a great professor! I have so much respect for him. He makes you love MKTG! Read the book for the quizzes and tests. Tests are tricky. You learn a great deal from this class because you work for your grade. Take him!
Horrible... Avoid him...
Hes a good instructor makes class interesting. I have a B right now just read the chapters he assigns, do the interactive quizess and read the articles he sends through email and you should be fine.
Must attend class because of pop quizzes. The exams are very difficult even if you do all the reading because of the way he words the questions. His lectures are okay, makes the material seem simple until you get the exam. I would suggest taking someone else if your not good at trick questions.
Fun class. He is very interesting and likes to have class discussions, but be aware that his exams are hard. Although he breaks them down fairly well he does have tricky questions that make you think more than twice! Go to class because he does have pop quizzes so yes you do have to read before coming to class unless you are a great listener!
Great energy, teaches straight from the book so you MUST do your reading every week! Learned a lot in his class, and will probably end up taking him for a MKTG elective. Rewards hard work with appropriate grade.
Definitely recommended! Lectures are interactive & interesting. Earned a 88%. Could have earned a better grade but quizzes were tricky. Exams are fair. The book & lectures are gold for his exams. The book had modern examples and it is simple to read. 3 exams, 7 quizzes, 2 articles, & 2 marketing surveys. Take Mr. Nguyen. You will not regret it.
Interesting class! You'll learn so much about marketing and some of it will even stick with you after the exam. The quizzes are tricky but don't lose faith if you bomb one or two. The exams are a lot easier assuming you do the study guide and actually understand the concepts. I got an A although I got a 60% on the first quiz haha :)
Amazing professor! I changed my major becuase of him. He is really interesting and will keep you engaged. Go to class! The exams aren't easy, coceptual based but if you take really good notes and review those you will do fine! Dresses nice ;)!
Took his class thinking it would inspire me to become a mktg major. It did not. Lectures were interesting but does get boring at times. Okay professor in general. If you miss class five times you fail the class. No presentations or group projects. It's the standard write notes lecture. Class can get really boring, you can take him or leave him.
Very smart!!
Attendance is MANDATORY, takes roll in every class. Exams are a bit difficult. There are pop quizzes, all true & false. Had a full schedule this semester, so it was a bit difficult. Great teaching technique! Not boring & uses real life examples. Dresses very professional. Def recommended!!!
His class is interesting but there are a few lectures that can get monotonous/boring but he asks questions to engage the class. There are 8 quizzes total taken every wednesday so make sure to study for them. There are 2 midterms, one final not cumulative. Two surveys and one marketing plan homework assignment. I would recommend. Easy B!
he does not use powerpoint so you have to actually pay attention & attend class & there are also 8 random quizzes. easy B, material is not hard at all but i feel like the quizzes messed me up from getting an A, he also did give us an extra credit opportunity
The class is very interesting. Teacher is a great speaker and makes you interested, No ppts. The test are tricky and you have to read the book also go to class! Homework is easy and read the chapter before each quiz and you'll do great on them.
This class is easy B. The book for the course comes with a cengage brain code where you can practice with quizzes. If you study the chapter quizzes on the cengage brain for the tests, ultimately it is easy to get at least a B.
You'll need a strong group for this class. The marketing plan required for this class will eat up a lot of your time but it's a very rewarding project. Nothing beats hardwork for this class. Read the book. Make sure you work on the cases in less than 4 hrs. Trust me it's good practice for your midterm and final. General knowledge/Pop media a plus!
Fantastic professor. Tries to remember names, so participate in class!!! I actually enjoyed going to this class and he uses a lot of great examples. Highly recommend.
Lots of note taking for this class. Has pop quizzes randomly. Don't miss any days of this class, because 1-2 missed pop quizzes can make or break your grade. Teacher is sometimes late and always take attendance.
He's honestly a great lecturer who gives lots of real life examples. But his expectations and tests are outrageous =/ In order to do well, you have to fully comprehend almost EVERYTHING said in both the book and lecture. Can't miss a class either, because he takes attendance & has pop quizzes. Challenging class but you'll learn alot from him.
Spends lots of time asking students what they think on a topic before covering the material in a class of over 100 students with only 1hr 15min of class time. Study guide for exams covers practically cover entire chapters, yet lectures barely cover the material. Seems sincere, and he is professional; however, class time could be better used.
How long does it take to process scantrons? This professor is slow (borderline misanthropic)
Boring lectures, fallow his confusing notes, and lecture with your ebook or hard copy book. He is mostly all over the place with his notes. Good luck!
His lectures are very clear and he knows how to engage with his students. I'm a finance major, but I'm considering double majoring in marketing after this class. Expect a pop quiz after every two chapters. His test are tricky if you don't open your book, but he is there for you during office hours. Very professional & really wants you to do well
He is a good teacher and knows a lot about marketing. Grading is 3 tests and 8 quizzes. The tests are pretty hard and the study guides are long and not very helpful. if you are interested in marketing and willing to work for a good grade take him. Lectures are interesting but the tests are a lot of scenario questions. Takes attendance every class
His lectures are very interesting and he really knows what he's talking about. He's by far one of the best professors I've had at Long Beach. Marketing is my minor, but he's really made me realize that this is what I want to do career-wise. I would definitely take him again.
Professor Nguyen has an amazing style of teaching. You will learn a lot in this class. However, do not underestimate the pop quizzes. They may hurt your final grade in the end. Overall, a great class, but you have to do your part in studying for that A.
You'll love his lecture style if you're not into boring ppts. He expects participation as it is a seminar but will help build your critical thinking & elaborative skills. My recommendation, bring a laptop and type everything he says in his lecturesyou could apply it all in the exam (which are all written NO MC in case that scares you).
This class isn't hard. Tests are not multiple choice, they are short answer and include a lot of critical thinking. Bring a laptop to take notes, a lot he talks about is on the test. The book is mainly used for pop quizzes. There are 10 of them. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE QUIZZES!!
His lectures are really interesting and engaging! I enjoyed his class, but my only problem were the pop quizzes. Expect one every 1-2 chapters. They are T/F and I found them a lot difficult than the midterm and final which are multiple choice. The pop quizzes can really hurt your grade. 8 pop quizzes, 2 midterms, research participation & final.
Professor Nguyen's class was a forum that encouraged the exchange of ideas. Grading is based on one big Marketing Plan team project that takes all semester, 10 MC quizzes, and 3 written exams. He has a slight air of intimidation around him because he expects high standards. Overall his class is a good professional environment to be in.
He is really good at teaching. A great communicator. Lectures are super-engaging. He asks us questions, mixes it up with some videos, adds in his own experiences. It also helps that the class material is naturally engaging. One thing. There is a requirement where you need to participate in two marketing studies, but that's easy. Good looking too!
UNFAIR grader. You prepared and answered his questions in class and could get a lower participation score than a person who didn't show up in class. You spent days preparing your presentation and performed it with all the confidence but you could get a lower score than a student didn't prepare at all. This professor destroyed many good students.
The best professor I've had in a long time. I've learned so much in this class, literally every class period. His lectures are very relatable and interesting. Just make sure you go to class and take good notes then the test will be easy. Pop quizzes every 2 chapters but it's true or false and if you went to class he covered it. Book is not needed
Really great lecturer who isn't boring at all. Pop quizzes and attendance sheet make it mandatory to go to class. His exams are pretty difficult even with studying.
Attractive demeanor & incredibly insightful. Tests are grueling but work with your class on the exam review for help with tough questions. Pop quizzes are not easy, not hard but play significant role on your grade. Does not lecture off powerpoint & interacts a lot which sucks but lectures still remain fun and engaging so you'll want to participate.
Well all he does is walk around in the class when he lectures, and because all he does is lecture the class itself is so boring, he does not care about teaching the material of the class can be self taught, like the pop quizzes are pointless, and he makes the exams harder then it has to be, and he doesnt teach, hardest class of the semester for me.
His lectures are pretty interesting, he does not any powerpoint presentation. Be prepared to take good notes, as it can make or break your grade. He takes attendance every class. His exams are not that easy, but if you just listen to his lecture you can definitely pass his class.
He is a really great professor. He doesn't do powerpoint and barely writes anything on the board so you really have to listen. However, he makes it interesting and brings in his own experience and sometimes shows videos. Test and pop quizzes aren't easy but doable. TAKE HIM!!!!! You'll learn a lot in an enjoyable and fun way!!
He is absolutely amazing. There are no powerpoints and barely any notes on the whiteboard, but he makes his lectures very interesting by bringing in his own experience and occasionally showing videos. You definitely learn a lot of useful info. Plus he is hot!! There are pop quizzes that aren't easy, but if you review before class, you'll be fine.
I am not learning much in this class. Definitely not "hot" so no chilli pepper for him. I agree with the comment below that Professor Tomlin is much better at teaching this class. I regret my decision taking Hieu's section.
Exams are too hard and quizzes are pointless. Additionally, he doesn't seem to do well with criticism and negative feedback. He is everything but hot (asked every girl in MKGT300 class). To future students, do yourself a favor and take Professor Tomlin instead.
Interesting classroom discussions, but the exams are tough. The semester project is a computer simulation requiring many hours spent with a group every week. He is not afraid to chew people out in public if they make a bad presentation, but when his mistakes are pointed out in private, he gets defensive.
One of the best teachers I've had at CSULB. I looked forward to coming to class everyday because I learned something new in this class. Class attendance is a MUST. If you pay attention and apply yourself you don't need the book
Professor Nguyen is the most interesting professor I've ever had but his class is pretty hard. Read the book and be prepared for pop quizzes. There are no power points, write down everything he says. All in all, he makes the class very intriguing and would 10/10 take him again.
This teacher is not good. I didn't learn as much as I expect. Materials are vague. Definitely dont deserve the chilli pepper.
The teacher nor the class is interesting. Actually he is the most uninteresting teacher in CSULB. Like to act tough to compensate for lack of masculinity. Avoid!
It is a lecture-based class; he doesn't use powerpoints but you could probably get away with not getting the book. He gives pop quizzes every once in a while, but they're all true/false questions. You have to participate in mktg research which is annoying b/c they fill up quickly (the alternative is writing a paper). Overall, not a bad class.
This class was the toughest class I've ever taken and I had a break down, BUT it challenged me and I'm so proud I passed this class. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR GROUP WISELY is the best advice I can give you. He treat students like young business professionals and expects you to be level-headed marketers. Everything you ever learned in marketing is needed
Great professor! Doesn't use powerpoints for lectures. Engages class by asking questions. Gives a study guide for exams. 8 pop quizzes throughout semester so stay on top of readings/notes and you'll be fine. Everything is laid out very clearly and he'll never put anything on exams that we didn't cover. Overall, very satisfied with his class.
His lectures are really interesting and he likes when students participate and answer questions. Pop quizzes happen and the exams can be tricky, but as long as you know the material well, you'll be fine. He definitely makes you work for an A, but you will learn a lot from him. Gives a lot of examples from the real world and has a lot of experience
Okay so ignore the rest of the reviews, yes this dude is a good lecturer but it takes him 10 minutes to go over 1 term, and its literally just the book. Beyond that he makes the class way too hard, I know for a fact 5 students at most got an A in his class out of 120. Trash professor, avoid if you want good grades.
Just write everything down from what he says in class. No PPTs, study guides given, responds to emails fast. Material is easy to understand, just READ and go over the notes you take. Everything in lectures are in pop quizzes (T/F only), so be attentive and engaged. Study case hours are required (and better), a research report can replace it.
He is super engaging throughout class! Lots of class discussions - he will call on you randomly but he makes the class a comfortable environment. He even did great switching to online teaching due to COVID-19. Tests are short answer/essay but somewhat easy if you study all the notes well. Semester long group marketing plan. Great professor!
The class consists of 2 MC Exams, 8 T/F Pop Quizzes, 2 research participation sessions, and a MC final. He doesn't have powerpoints, only writes on the whiteboard. Quizzes and exams are straight from lectures. He uses lots of examples to help students understand the material. Show up to class, listen, and take notes, and you will be fine.
He is smart, engaging, answers to all questions. But his quizzes are pointless. His exams Qs consist of scenario based problems so no test bank. He makes his own Qs. Be prepared to read and actually go in depth with terms. He requires you to have respondus lock down for 8 quizzes and exams which is also pointless and give you anxiety.
2 Midterms, 1 Final. Quiz every 2 chapters- even during exam wk. Lecture definitions unclear. Cuts people off, asks lots of rhetorical ques., & obsessed with Costco & Japan. He posts recordings of lectures which is helpful. Exams aren't the easiest, especially based on his lectures. Textbk not necessary, but helps clarify his terms & definitions.
His lectures are very engaging and you'll get the concepts very easily. Be sure to listen to his definitions EXACTLY WORD-FOR-WORD for his pop quizzes. Quizzes tend to be tricky with the wording, but exams are fine when you study straight from the study guide. Requirement to also attend 2 research studies, but not hard at all.
Super kind (references Japan, Costco, and Trader Joes for everything LOL). Exams are heavily based on specific examples he uses in lecture; walking away from lecture for even a minute can cost you. Entertaining and engaging class but you put in what you want to get out. Textbook not necessary unless you want to have a better understanding of terms.
Eh. He's a typical 3 unit professor. 3 exams(50 Qs. He makes his own), 8 quizzes every 2 chapters at the end of class. He requires you to use respondus lock down with webcam for both quizzes and exams. His quizzes are T/F. No Testbanks. Participate for 2 research which is 5%. Super easy so finish early. He is smart, caring, and intersting
Easy B as long as you study the notes. Study guide he provides is completely worthless because they are vague & consists of more in depth concepts, so be prepared for that. Pointless lectures, would ramble on about a simple term constantly which would make it more confusing than it should be. Posts lectures online. Middle of the pack professor.
The only class I looked forward to this semester. Very nice guy. His lectures are interesting and engaging. Explains concepts well with great examples. Lots of class discussion. Beware of pop quizzes every two chapters. Requires Lockdown Respondus for quizzes & exams. Will need to participate in two marketing studies for credit. Great communicator.
Mostly exams and lots of quizzes. Does not curve or round grade. Lectures through powerpoint and records class lectures. Need to do two research surveys which are an easy A if you stay on top of it and keep an eye out for when they are posted (it's just answering questions).
Lectures were very engaging. It was not a dull or boring class. What he taught in business was applied to the real world. He was a very nice and caring professor.
He would have been a perfect professor in my opinion if it wasn't for the pop quizzes he randomly gives out. That's literally the only thing I'm not giving him a perfect score. No HW but read the textbook and attend lectures since they are in the exam. Doesn't curve at all even when the whole class bombed the first exam, so look for other options
He made the class fun and engaging by bringing in real life examples and cases. Amazing lecturer! Learned so much from him!
Professor Nguyen has the best lectures and gives many examples on the different concepts covered in the course. Marketing itself is pretty interesting and as long as you read and prepare you will get a good grade. Be prepared for the in class quizzes that make up a decent chunk of your grade.
Professor Nguyen has definitely been one of my favorite professors so far. As long as you attend class and take good notes on lectures, you'll pass the class. His lectures are actually really interesting. I really enjoyed his class!
His lectures are very engaging, so strongly recommend you attend. He did remove the syllabus partway through the semester and his quizzes ended up being "pop" quizzes if you didn't save the syllabus. Exams are conceptual. Take very good notes and you'll be good.
easy to pass if you go to class, provides study guide, lectures are fun and interesting, I actually learned a lot in his class, 3 exams including final, have quizzes every 2 chapters, really nice and caring, very experienced in the industry too
The thing that brought my grade down the most was the exams, this class is my first C. Test ques. are based mostly on applying them to real-world examples. A lot of the exam ques are from lectures, write down as much as he says, and do NOT miss class! He talks about his wealthy travels and purchases a lot which can sidetrack the class a bit.
Great professor and lectures that helps you easily enjoy the class with real-world concepts. He provides study guides for his exams which helped me achieve high scores on all three. Be sure to participate in class, take good notes, and fill out the study guides. There may or may not be a pop quiz but be sure to keep up with the chapters to be safe.
Horrible. Expects you to memorize 100 terms in each chapter, so for every exam you need to know 500 terms. Says you wont do good unless you "understand" the material. Well with a thick accent and an hour 30 min class, its hard to cover 50 terms a class effectively. Then all of his examples are from his lavish travels I wouldn't recommend to my enemy.
Don't take him! You have to show up to all of his classes and be ready to take notes on ANY word he says, some of his exam questions r literally based on the stories he tells which can't be found in the textbook. 8 Pop quizzes - hard, the last one is cumulative. Exams r the hardest. You just need a good memory to be able to memorize it ALL. Avoid!!
If you strive for A or even for B, he is not the best option for you, take someone else. You gotta work hard for a C too tho. Thick accent, exams are hard, pop quizzes which are hard too. Just take someone else
Great professor and very entertaining if you have a passion in the world of marketing. Tough quizzes and exams, so be prepared. Never read book. Obtained study guides from online. Attended lectures and took note of all definitions he gave plus the specific examples.
The bad comments you'll see here for this teacher are based solely on people who probably do not read the book. The book that the professor tells you to read is very organized in my opinion. Interesting topics. I have a hunch that people are just not reading the book and relying solely on attending lectures to prepare for both quizzes and exams.
Take notes on every word he says, read the book, and complete the study guide every exam, and still struggle to keep an 80%. Creates his own 3 exams, 10 quizzes, and my study guide is always 20 pages long. Spend hours studying and preparing for his exams. He will then talk about Japan for majority of the class and youll be stuck reading the book.
Rushed through the entire 2nd half of the semester. Talks way too fast and doesn't care. Tried to cover a chapter and a half on the last day of class before the final. Was also late on the last day of class before the final. This dude made an emphasis to not fall behind before winter break but in reality, he was the one who stopped trying. Avoid
Super passionate and knowledgeable about MKTG. The main key to success is attending class. Even skipping a few classes is hard because he goes off the book. He provides great examples and keeps the class entertaining; a great lecturer. His exams are lecture heavy, take good notes and pay attention in class. Only grades 3 Exams, 8 Quizzes, NO HW.
tbh i did not read the book, which was my fault because you honestly need it, but you can still pass the class without the book just by restudying the slides and notes. he does NOT post full lectures and notes, just general bullet points so take really good notes. beware of the pop quizzes around every 2 chapters and the 3 exams are not cumulative
Great professor. Definitely know what he's talking about. Very helpful and responsive. No homework. Grades are based on exams and pop quizzes. The class is lecture-heavy. If you pay attention to the lectures and occasionally skim the textbook, you will be fine. You'll definitely learn some interesting things in this class. Highly recommend
10 T/F pop quizzes with 10 questions each, easy based off notes during lecture. A midterm and final exam with multiple choice and short answers. The mc are easy if you study and he hints at what the short answer questions with be. Lectures and interesting and so is what he shows in class. He gives helpful advice on future jobs.
Very understanding professor and one of the best lecturers in my college experience! His class composed 10 pop quizzes, 2 exams half mc and half-written, and simulation assignments. If you pay attention to his lectures the class is very manageable.
There are 8 pop quizzes and 3 exams, including the final. He will give bump up your grade if you're borderline, if you attend all or most of lectures. His lectures are really good, he provides a lot of real world examples. The quizzes are harder than the exam. He provides study guides for the exams and you can find the textbook online.
Overall, he is a good professor, you just have to attend to his lectures and listen to every world he says. the exams are quite hard, but you just have to make sure you do the study give before the exam and you will pass the class.
This professor genuinely cares about student learning and actively engages with the class. Lessons are based on real-life case studies, clearly explaining marketing theories for strategy decisions. Expect pop quizzes, two exams, and Stukent assignments. Stay attentive—lectures are engaging!
One of the finest professors I've ever had the pleasure of learning from, and this has been one of the most enriching and inspiring class  I've ever taken.
Amazing professor.
One of the best professors I've had. Very smart guy, interesting lecture. If you like to skip class, do not take this class. What he says in lecture is what's on his exams. If you're a good notetaker and listener, you'll pass this class. He's a very cool guy, if you need extra help he'll give it to you.
Professor Nguyen is engaging and passionate about marketing. While the exams and quizzes are challenging, attending class and utilizing study resources like unstuck study can help you succeed. The textbook is useful, but not completely necessary if you stay on top of the lectures.
Best marketing management class ever!
his lectures are very informative, but that means it takes a week to finish a chapter. his exams are based mostly on his examples he gives in class so if you miss those then you won't do well on the exam. definitely have to study and lock in for the quizzes and exams. not a class you wanna slack on. there's a lot of extra notes said for the slides.
Super inspirational and informative lectures, I have never left a review here but he was very deserving of one so I had to.
Incredibly knowledgeable and made learning easy. The lectures are very engaging, so as long as you pay attention and take notes you'll be fine. Many quiz/test q's are based on in-class discussions, not just his lecture slides. Mandatory attendance, and there's 8 "pop quizzes" every 2 chapters, so you have a general idea when they'll happen.
no hw, 2 midterms + 1 final, T/F pop quizzes typically every 2 chapters, one of the best lecturers and easiest class ive taken. keeps the entire class engaged with his questions, examples, and stories. i looked forward to this class every time bc it felt more fun rather than a dragged out, boring lecture. highly recommend writing all his examples
