SHE WAS THE ONLY PROF WHO GAVE EXAMPLES FROM PAST FINALS!The problem is that the text book is FAR TOO EASY!YOU NEED TO GET A HOLD OF PAST EXAMS!I thought that Hila was ok!BUT I SWEAR, YOU DO THE PAST EXAMS, YOU WILL PASS!!

Her englis is understandable but some words just sound funny, i literally fell asleep in calss couple of times, thats how monotone and boring she is, she used to show us videos in the begining but as the course progressed she's like yea we dont have time watch it on your own time , the exam is really hard u really gota temember ur stuff

She gives good tips on how to study for the course. You must give VERY precise examples to supplement definitions. All instructors use a marking rubric for their exams. She is more gentle with marking than the course directors that wrote the textbook. Hard course where you have to study a lot of jargon.

very helpful. I recommend her, a little boring class though. The person below says exactly what u must do on exams. Marking criteria will get harder on later exams, plz be careful this. If not satisfied with marks, you can discuss the marks with her. If she recognize you understand the material, but you simply didnt write well, she gives more mark.

2320. I read reviews about her and thought to clarify some of the wrong perceptions. First of all accent doesn't define somebodyâ??s intellect. Secondly I read somebody saying swiss accent, actually she is from israel. So don't believe what people write, go and sit in class to see how a prof teaches. I got D with the most liked prof and B+ with her.

I took ADMS 2320 with her and by far I can say she's one of my favourite professors at york. She's very good at explaining difficult concepts, clarifying doubts, and giving out study tips. If you study hard and follow everything she says in class your bound to an A in the course!

BEST PROF EVER! Very considerate and easy. Wants everyone to do well. Always promptly replies bach to emails. Wish York had more teachers like herm. Had a great term with her last fall.

She is one of the most amazing and dedicated profs at York I have ever had. She will point out a lot of tips that are important for quizzes, mid-terms and finals. Genuinely interested in her students and their understanding of course concepts. She breaks all tension and relieves students of the overwhelming stress attributed to taking Stats.

I think this professor is very understanding and caring! She replies fast to me, and overall I wish every single teacher that I have can be like her. This is something that I am honestly saying. I think she really cares about each and every one of her students. =)

Great professor. Explains the material very clearly. You get a good concept of the basics of IT/IS. Very interesting class and the videos are fantastic!

Course cases were out of date. Assigned groups mean you'll probably take much longer to get consensus and the project done.

Hila did her job well, as it is hard to teach this class. Very dry subject material, and she's not the most entertaining speaker. Do your reading before class, and try to participate, and you will be able make the most out of it. Exam was a killer, mid-term slightly easier. I'd take her again, but this time I'd be more prepared for her class.

Participate and contribute in the class. She observes how you work in teams and even informs you if you are not actively participating. Only problem in the course was the group size (10). Coordinating with 10 people having different schedules is a tough job.

She did amazing job. This course needs HUGE amount of memory and it's not her fault. She knows where the point is and let you know during the lecture. She even give your the hint of midterm if you listen carefully. Take her class!

Hila is a GREAT prof! At first, I was very scared of adms2511 because I am not a computer guy. And I wasn't wrong; this course is THE hardest course in adms program. But Hila is very helpful. She explains everything very well. Make sure you attend lectures as in-class questions count towards attendance grade. Hard course became decent with Hila

MGMT 2050 is common across all sections in terms of assignments and tests. I found Hila to be great at lecturing, however she sometimes had difficulties explaining certain concepts clearly. She's very nice and responds to emails. The tests are meant to be average in difficulty (with a couple of challenging questions).

Professor Cohen is very good at explaining the broad scope of the subject matter, but also, she does a great job highlighting important material to know for examinations. Be prepared to read the book a lot, but also listen during lectures and take notes on things she mentions for tests. She is very nice and gives many hints for you to succeed.

Hila has been an amazing prof. I have taken mgmt1050, 2050 and omis2010 with Hila and she has been very caring and knows how to teach a class. You can be confident that you are getting the right prof for this course.

Not the easiest course, but by going to her classes, participating, and doing her assigned homework questions, it's definitely doable. Her teaching style and slides are amazing, and she really goes through the material well in class. Very approachable, helpful, engaging, and fair. Just follow all her tips, such as practising & timing yourself, etc.

By far one of my favorite professors at Schulich. Is extremely down to earth and provides assistance whenever needed. She's made the hardest courses easy and fun. Negative comments made against this professor are clearly by people receiving C's and D's for the lack of effort on their own part.

My 2nd time taking the course, and have to say that her teaching style really worked for me. Her lectures are great because she summarizes her slides very well to make sure you understand the main concepts and her booklets are a great guide to how to solve the practice questions. Overall, very caring prof, would gladly take a course from her again.

Literally one of the best profs at Schulich. Teaches in an incredibly clear manner, in-class examples help you thoroughly for the exam. Caring, and even got us the textbook solutions. Made me want to specialize in omis. 10/10 would take her again

She is literally my fav prof at Schulich, who is definitely the best prof for first and second year stats. She explains everything very clearly, and her lectures are ordered well. I highly doubt those who gave her a low mark never went to lectures, cuz this course is truly not hard.

Although Statistics is a generally tougher course, Hila did her best to ensure that each student who came to class was more than prepared for the examinations. She honestly cares about the students and goes above and beyond to explain difficult concepts.

concepts were easy to understand but were taught in a very confusing way. got an A+ and only went to bootcamp classes. midterm was BRUTAL (questions were easy but not enough time - avg was like a 50). she said final will be extremely easy and everyone will end with 100s on the exam but the average was 78. there was a bell curve, which saved me!

I still remember the time when our classroom would get FILLED by students from other sections. She is one of the few instructors that has concepts mapped out and she is very knowledgable. As I am good at stats already I found the course easy, but according to others, they liked her lectures no matter their preferences of the course content itself.

Ive chosen my classes so ill be in her class for my third time. I wish more of my professors were like her. She does participation, so expect to come to class if you want a good grade.

Went to my stats lecture for participation and then Hila's to actually LEARN. Ditch the textbook; it's missing info. Seriously all that you need WILL be on her slides and if you pair it with Stats Prep I/II, you'll be golden. She gives handouts with past exam questions and goes through them with you, flow charts, some practice m/c, etc. The Best!!

Best prof for stats and OMIS. Read the textbook, come to her class, and do practice questions and you can get an A or A+. She was able to explain concepts and patiently answered MANY questions from students.

I was expecting her to be horrible based on past reviews. But I was mistaken! She's a great prof. Her explanations are easy to understand. But of course, you have to put in extra effort for the A/A+. You need to make sure you're familiar with the questions and be quick to match them to the right formulas during the tests.

Honestly, one of my favourite profs so far. Lectures can be a bit boring and confusing tbh but the way she teaches/explains, she definitely cares about students and their learning. Sweet person and will always be there if you need extra help.

Hila is genuinely incredible. She went out of her way to restructure the course to make it better for the students. You can tell how much she genuinely cares about the students and their performance. Also, always helpful if you have questions, whether it's about the course material or about the format of the assessments.

Hila is amazing. The lectures were so helpful when it came to weekly assignments. As long as you attend the lectures, have an excel workbook with all the formulas, and study the slides, you're good. The textbook is a waste of money.

Hila is a genuinely caring and compassionate prof. She takes her time to explain topics clearly in lectures and always with a smile. She took time to answer questions in and out of class. The overall course can be hard for some people, especially if they lack math and/or excel skills, but in terms of the prof herself, Hila will help you succeed.

Hila is amazing. I had her for both OMIS1050 and OMIS2050. She definitely knows her stuff. It was very difficult content to learn and study for but I don't blame it on her because she is a queen.
