Dr. Lease is a great lecturer and clearly is passionate about physiology. She does go really fast through the lectures but she does a lot of supplemental white board material that really simplifies complicated concepts. Dr. Lease is both knowledgeable and passionate, however her teaching style is not the most effective. This professor was a great support during this course. There is a lot of material covered, but that's the nature of the course. I really enjoyed all of her lectures sessions, and she helped a lot with reviewing concepts after class and during office hours. Good explanations of physiological concepts. I look forward to taking more of her classes.

If you don't go to lectures you can still get a B in the class (just from studying posted slides). But going to lectures, trying to draw what she draws, asking Qs in OHs--will earn you an A. She speaks quickly but it's clear what she wants you to know. & she's happy to re-explain concepts. Most students who complain don't go to class. Go to class!

I like how she explains things. She draws as she talks and it helps me understand concepts. She's always available after class. There is a LOT of material but we were warned at the start. If you go to class and ask questions and draw when/what she draws a B isn't hard to get. I'm hoping for an A but will probably get a B because I tanked Block 1.

Lease's lectures were difficult to follow at the speed she talks and in between her doing white board drawings that often do not make sense. She will try to cram information into the 50 min. lecture at 8 am and continue talking after lecture is over. Her slides are complicated and she is unclear on any emphasis on exam topics within the slides.
