Professor G is really nice and wants all of her students to do well. She's passionate about what she teaches. There are extra credit opportunities. It's basically mandatory to show up to class, she'll notice if you don't, but you won't want to miss anyway because her class is so fun and interesting. Definitely an easy A. Professor Gallego is young but knows her English. She kept the perfect balance of boring in-class reading and assignments with entertaining pop culture and current events. She made the tiny classroom fun and the seconds seemed to fly by. She is slightly bias towards women but I'm a guy and she kept the puns light and tasteful.

She cares about english and her students; she tries harder at grading and teaching than you probably do writing essays and taking notes. if you have any sense at all you will end up taking this professor for any english class she is available for.

Even though, this class was offered in the Center Campus;I did not mind to drive to the South Campus just because I wanted to take her class. I am very happy with my decision; I learned a lot this semester. She gives extra credit if you go to the tutor and do not forget Claim, Data and Warrant to write an excellent paper. Best professor I have taken by far! She is SUPER helpful. Just show up to class everyday and pay attention. Wish I would have taken 1301 with her too. Take her class you won't regret it! ^.^

She's very intimidating though, as much as I enjoy her class, if you did something wrong she would call you out in front of the class. Professor Gallego is not one of those teachers that you will die to go to her class. She is very confusing and she wants students to write whatever she wants to read its kind of strange because it is an essay class and you can write it many ways. Moreover, she is very outspoken and a lot of times she uses bad words in the class. Do not take her.

Profesor Gallego is probably the best English Professors in North Lake College. She is a tough grader, but gives great feedback on what you can improve. Always be on time, and never miss a lecture. She is always willing to help students all you have to do is ask for help. She likes to talk about current events in her classes. Be prepared!

Professor G. actually cares. The few that did poor in class did so because they didn't put forth effort and lacked rudimentary time management. Class has 3-6 papers that are straightforward assignments requiring medium effort to skate by with a CtoB. B+ to A+ does require work, if you need help just ask bc she is happy to assist! (I took 1301&1302)

You'd be foolish not to take her. Hands down the best English teacher I've probably ever had. She is extremely helpful and works with you if you are struggling. She's gonna help you succeed if you want to. She is very easy to contact if you need help. I can't tell you how good she is. It'd be a very smart movie to take her.

The best english professor I have ever experienced in my life. Got a B in 1301 when i took some other professor but got an A in 1302 with her. She will give you numerous chances to get a good grade, if you follow her criteria, no way you will walk out with a bad experience. Learnt so much from her. I would take her again and again and again.

This teacher worked with me in every way possible to help. I had the worst semester ever, yet got a A+ in this class. She offered extra credit to the entire class, she would also work with anyone who had problems. I can not say enough that I am thrilled to have taken this class with her.

Professor Gallego is hands down my favorite English teacher of all time. She's really jolly and full of fun. She really wants students to be passionate about their writing and enjoy the class. Her criteria is very clear and if you put the time and the effort into her class you will pass. She's very understanding and always gives great advice :D

Professor G is super friendly, chill, and understanding person. At first, I was low key scared of her,due to her strict appearance, but realized she was super chill as I got to know her. Honestly, if you do your hw and go to class on time, she'll be friendly. Also, I was able to express myself in class bc I felt comfort. I would take her again.

Although it seems like this class is going to be tough, it is far from it. Simply follow her instructions on how to write her essays and you will be golden. Make sure to pay close attention to the syllabus as she gives many days to work on our essays. She lectures only a few times but it's important to pay attention. The tests are very easy.

She doesn't ask for much just show up to her class everyday and on time. She's really funny and real, and she wants everyone to do well in her class. Professor Gallego, is the best! Super helpful and nice. If you need help with anything she will help you, you can stop by her office if you need 1 on 1 help. As long as you ask for her help and write the papers the way she tells you to (and she will help you) you will get an A!

This teacher was amazing, I had a very lackluster English 1301 experience. I felt I knew less leaving 1301 then going into it. She said from the very beginning, if you follow my instructions you will ace this class. Sure enough I did. Ask for help, she will help. The writing center is awesome and knows what she wants too.

Professor G is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Her lectures are interesting and very easy to follow. She gives you a formula to follow and if you use it you'll easily make an A. She's also very understanding and she gives lots of extra credit. I took her class during Summer I and had a very busy schedule. Fortunately, she worked with me. :)

Awesome teacher nice responds to emails fast. Took fast track for credit and she was super nice and flexible. Clear instructions and very nixes got an Easy A.

Took her flex term 1301 and also going to take her flex term 1302. Very fun and easy class. She makes learning Comp so easy. She gives you formulas and helps you with essays and other work.

I had Professor G for English 1301 durning the summer and she was great! She gives out good instructions so you know what you're expecting to write on the essay. Took her as well for 1302 for an 8 week course. It was fast pace, but do able. She helps you a lot. No way you cannot pass her class. DEFINITELY 10/10 RECOMMEND HER! :))

I enjoyed taking english with Gallego. Material is very straight forward and the papers are pretty easy. Do the work and you are sure to make an A.

Professor G is great. As long as you're not some dweeb who doesn't care about her class, you have a good chance to be on good terms with her. She's not the easiest grader but she goes the extra mile to connect with each of her students and help them grow. I would definitely take her class again.

Professor G is by far one of the best professors I have had. She is super caring and gives you all of the materials you need to pass the major essay assignments. She does not take excused absences and you are knocked down a letter grade if you miss 3 classes. You can ask her questions on twitter and share your paper on google docs for good feedback

You can hardly do better than Professor Gallego for your English professor. She's understanding, funny, relatable, and truly cares about her students' performance. She isn't simply going to hand you the A, however she will lay out a clear, very manageable path toward earning one, and is willing to work with you on whatever issues you may have.

You can't hate on Professor G. She is clear with you on terms of what's going to happen in the course. She's funny, cool, and easy to talk to. She will work with you. Don't get it twisted though, she grades essays a little hard if you don't follow the examples 100 percent. Write it how she wants it or you're doomed. Would take this course again.

Professor G is the most bad ass teacher I've ever had. I read all these reviews saying she doesn't care about you and if you do not get on her good side she wont pass you. There were many kids in my class that she did not like and they still passed it has nothing to do with the professor it has to do with you

If you do your work on time and follow the syllabus you will do great.

It's a simple and easy class. She teaches you the correct structure when writing an essay and expects you to use that in your essays. The essays are easy and it's not hard to follow the essay structure because it's logical. She doesn't like when you don't come to class but what professor does? Follow directions and this class is an easy A.

She was the first professor I had as a college student and started my experience off very well. She is a good teacher and equipped our class with great tools to use in writing. Professor G is also very friendly and genuinely interested in each one of her students. She is a wonderful teacher and any student should be lucky to be in her classes.

She is picky about essays, like structure and etc, but she is trying to prepare students for writing at a higher level, especially those planning to go to grad school or transfer to a university. I didn't like this class at first. The energy of the class was very different. After the first week i started to love the class. She makes it so open for everyone. Ive never been in a class were we do the same amount of time laughing as work! 10/10 would take again.

I took Professor Gallego for 1301 and 1302 and both times she was a wonderful professor. She gives great lectures that are often funny and she makes it easy to understand the material. There are plenty of chances for extra credit although if you do your work on time you shouldn't really need it. I highly recommend taking her class for 1301 or 1302.

I had Professor Gallego both semesters and can honestly say she is one of the best around. She makes class fun by interacting with the class (jokes and funny stories) and she is a great teacher. Follow the rubric and put in effort and you will strengthen your literary skills without a doubt.

looking back at my time at northlake, Prof G is still my favorite professor ever and is both intellectual and fun, as long as you actually carry your weight you will do fine in the class. she is a phenomenal prof and very understanding in all regards. great communicator, and entertaining, the best.

Having taken an 8 week course of 1301, I wasn't ready for the fast pace so I ended up taking the 16 week course and did much better.

Gallego is THE BEST professor I've ever had. talk to her after class and she will bend over backwards for you to succeed (but that doesn't mean she wont get on your ass).Gallego still helps me out on recommendations and essays. She has a cool sense of humor. Her finals are easy and the assignments are easy. she just wants you to be successful.

Professor Gallego had very clear grading criteria. She was a tough grader on some things but it's only because she cares about her students success. She made the class fun and interesting and about more important things than just English. She's been my favorite English professor and I would take her class again.

Professor G is honestly so amazing! She's the type of teacher that gets you to actually LEARN your material! I took a summer course, and there were 3 essays, one novel to read with an easy quick quiz on it, one annotated bibliography, and 2 or 3 extra credit opportunities. Participation and attendance matters, but it's for your own good!

Professor G is one of the kindest professors I have had during my time at north lake if not the kindest. She gives great feedback and is available for her students as much as she possibly can. If anyone says anything negative about her or her class it is because they did not put in their part of the effort. She is a great professor.

She is a great professor, however she is strict on MLA formatting and points will be taken. So make sure to watch her lectures online a lot (because of covid). She gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities on every essays, so if you want an A in that class i'd recommend doing them. She is extremely helpful if you email her for extra help too.

Professor Gallego is a wonderful professor, her classes online were helpful. Just watch all her videos, pay attention to exactly what she request, and you will pass. She grades quick and when she makes last minute changes, she immediately lets her students know.

Shes a good teacher

Comp was the reason I dropped out of college several years ago. My professor was condescending and as an adult student he just made me feel like I couldnt do college. Professor G changed that! It wasnt easy but Im much more confident as a writer and my other professors noticed it too. I cant thank her enough for giving me confidence!

Lectures are awesome. She uses multiple techniques including pictures to explain the concept in such way that you never forget. It was a great experience being her student, if you guys are thinking of taking English classes at Dallas College go for it.

Professor G is really patient and explained lectures, and assignments magnificently, the course calendar came quite in handy because it helped me stay on track and know what it was that I was doing, and what was expected. Professor Gallego is a very enthusiastic, informed, and dedicated teacher. Attending her class motivated me to write and read more efficiently. She also explained a easy guide to writing papers that I still use for all of my classes today!

My PTK advisor recommended Prof. G, as I struggle with writing, and I am so glad I took her class. She gives clear instructions, but also breaks down everything in her lectures. If you follow the outline, and Toulmin method you will do well in this class. I would highly recommend Prof. G for anyone that feels ENGL comp is a weakness.

She is the greatest professor I have ever seen. But she never gives you good grades for how hard you work on your assignment unless she is satisfied. She does not appreciate student hard work. If you are weak in English but want an A grade, then do not take her class. You will totally destroy.

I have never been good at any English class I've taken, but Prof. Gallego made this class enjoyable, she's not like other online professors that just tell you what to read or watch, she constantly checks up on her students, she uploads her lectures and explains in great detail what the assignments are about. Just put some effort and you'll pass.
