A pretty difficult class but he teaches it well. Provides plenty of things to do to prepare for exams, including online HW, lecture videos, optional worksheets, lecture slides, etc. Exams are easier if you do all that. Labs are fun, but the notebook will take a while (don't procrastinate on that). Overall an amazing prof.

This is my second time taking his Bio-100 class, by my own fault of course. You really have to keep up with the work. It's a hybrid class so it's easy to lose track of the homework and lab notebook due times. He's a wonderful professor and it's a fun class to take :)

He does a great job of explaining the concepts in a concise and easily understandable way. The labs are really important and the only thing that is a drag is the lab notebook. That is pretty time consuming but other than that, the homework is not too difficult.

Dr.K give great lectures, they can be long but they are insightful. I am a horrible test taker, but even with lower scores in exams I am passing the class. Stay on top of the lab notebook, it is time consuming and a big part of your grade. I would definitely take him again. If you need help outside of class he will try and be available, he's great.

Solid choice for an intro Bio class. Short lectures per chapter, he ties back the material to relevant current events to pinpoint why its significant. Homework and lecture guide are really all you need to get As on the tests. Hes chill and funny. Doesnt mind if you arrive late, but dont; its annoying. Overall, A fun and easy time.

Book was optional. I took the hybrid class so all the homework was online and easy. Labs were easy and fun and the lectures weren't long. You do have to make a lab notebook which was very time consuming but he does gives you lots of examples and walks you though it. Tests were hard but he gives you plenty of helpful resources.

Took Dr. Kaiser as BIOL-100 HYBRID. Course materials aren't mandatory, studying is HUGE! YouTube videos are extremely helpful, test are TOUGH and long. Extra credit is offered. While labs are fun, the lab entries aren't if left at last minute. Besides that, he cares about how you do in the class. He gives great feedback and has a sense of humor!

Kaiser is a fantastic professor! He has spent a lot of time developing his lesson plan. I highly recommend taking your time the first couple of weeks, he understands a lot of the confusion that goes on and works with you if you make a mistake! My biggest recommendation is stay on your labs! Do them each week as they are done in class!

Honestly, just do the homework on time and watch the YouTube videos in parts and you'll do fine! There was one "group" project at the end, it was super easy - you only had to talk for like 2 to 3 minutes -, and worth 200 points. He also offers extra credit for almost each test, so take advantage of it!

If you need to take Bio 100, take Dr. Kaiser. You will NOT regret it! His grading scale is awesome. The most work you have is the lab notebook but as long as you keep up on it throughout the semester then you are solid.

Mr. Kaiser was on top of teaching. On the days you go to class you start with a lecture, then a small quiz (the answers are in the packets you print out), then the group lab project. Also, there are 5 exams, which he gives you a study guide for and then some online homework. My advice is to start the lab notebook early. Overall, great class.

Great Professor overall. Really kind and trys to help his students as best as he can. He tends to miss class often but he calls for a sub so dont expect any class cancellations. There were 5 test around 75 questions each and pretty difficult. If do all other work you should be able to pass even if you dont do well on the tests.

Professor Kaiser is super helpful when students are confused on a certain topic, through piazza you are able to ask him questions any time of the day and if he doesnt respond, most likely he will but if he doesnt you can still get help from classmates. The lectures were straightforward and to the point, the zooms were great to go over chapters we just learned, and he was super fun all around. Honestly Dr. Kaiser is one of the best professors Ive have in a long time. Everyone is lucky to have him as there professor.

Taking an online Biology course for my first semester sounded scary, but Dr. Kaiser had all the material and information ready for me to easily use. Communication was great! Dr. Kaiser also used Piazza, a classroom/group chatting website that he was almost always active on, ready to give feedback, take questions, or really anything else we needed.

Dr. K is an amazing professor without a doubt. There is a lot of homework, but they are not to hard. If you don't procrastinate then it is easy, but if you do it is a lot of work to catch up. Professor Kaiser is the "Real Deal" when it comes to biology. Working in the field he has discovered and classified several new species. He is an excellent instructor. My only gripe is that it seemed like a LOT of work for an introductory class.

Professor Kaiser is such a reliable professor and I like his class so much I always recommend him to my friends if they need to take any bio class!!!!

Dr.K had a well thought out and amazing module set up for this course. Since this is an online course I didn't expect to retain a lot of information but the tools and programs used in sync with the course really did help me learn. I enjoyed doing the labs and didn't even mind the homework. One thing is that the assignments are very time consuming.

Though he is a good teacher his class does have a lot of work but if you stay on top of it it makes it easier for you. Don't procrastinate. His exams are kind of hard and have a lot of questions but they are not impossible. There are ways to make his class easier. Class is mandatory if you do not want to miss a lab, labs are every day.

This professor is great, there is no deadline for homework so it may be turned in at any time, but don't wait too long as it does pile up. The way he teaches is straightforward as it's a lecture with a projector and sometimes writing on the board. He also goes over the lab to ensure that we do it correctly. Overall he's one of the better teachers.

Overall an average Bio 100 class. Dr. K is pretty easy going, all of his lectures are easy to follow. It is easy to fall behind on HW, quizzes, and Labs because they are all turned in at your own rate but trust me follow the class schedule as closely as possible so you stay on track.

Our Biology professor is very wise and knowledgeable on all types of creatures, which is very enjoyable to learn from him, you will learn something new everyday in his class and is worth taking his Biology class. At first I didn't like Biology during high school, but turns out when I took his class I love the subject and willing to learn from him.

He is such an amazing professor he is very smart does give us a lot of homework but its pretty straight forward he makes it easy to follow. I would recommend him to others who are looking into taking a biology class.

He is a very clear grader, very lecture heavy. If you miss class you will be behind but he doesn't take attendance. He is very clear when things are due and I would take a class with him again.

Dr. K is very kind and willing to work with students. Due dates are flexible and late work is not penalized. The textbook with access code is mandatory, as well as your computer needs to be able to run labster. Super easy to reach outside of class in case of questions, and lots of resources available for help on tests, quizzes, and labs.

He is a pretty laidback professor. I took an intro course to Biology for credit so I feel like he knew many of us in the class were there because we needed the credit. The class was planned accordingly. There was nothing too hard about the material, we just go over a lot of it. the amount of work could seem a bit daunting if you let it pile up.

I really liked how chill he was. the work load was a lot if you let it pile up, otherwise, it was fine. He is very knowledgable and leads his class with respect.

I have tremendous respect for my professor, he truly loves what he teaches. For some instructors, their job is simply a job, but for Dr.K it is his passion. He is a generous man and only wants what is best for his students.

Dr. K was a very laid-back professor. There is a lot of work but it can be turned in at any time without penalty. He will let you resubmit to get the most points and just wants students to succeed. He makes lecturing fun by adding personal stories. Overall, I really enjoyed his class and would take him again if I had the chance!

This professor has no defined due dates which made my homework schedule run smoothly, although I know many of the other students got very behind because of this. This is my favorite professor so far. The class was quite difficult, but that is do to it being a science class.

Dr. K's hybrid class, which requires attendance, is one I would absolutely take again since he helps as much as he can. You'll want to keep focused on the weekly work and enjoy the interesting things you learn and experience along the way. Since there were no deadlines and Dr. K had an engaging teaching style; I thought the class went quite well.

This class was a fun class to take because labs were always interesting but there was a lot of work and was easy to fall behind.

I took the Hybrid class. We go in once a week do the lecture have a break then move on to lab. We have online resources including the book. Most of our homework was online and submitted through other websites. We did have to upload our lab write-ups through Canvas. Over all easy class if you watch the lecture videos and read the book.

Hybrid class consists of 1 hour lecture followed by 2-3 hour lab. The labs were interesting but the lab write-ups felt excessive. If you messed up during the lab it was hard to do a write up for it. If you stay caught up with work the class is not too difficult. I felt there was too much work per week, which is why I rated this class difficult

Professor Kaiser is an awesome teacher! There are 10 lab assignments that we worked on in class and he was always willing and ready to provide feedback or answer questions. He also uses this website called Piazza where you can ask questions and get an answer from Dr. K or another student. It is really helpful! You won't regret taking this class!

He knows what he's taking about and loves to talk about it. His enthusiasm about the subject bounces onto the students and made the class very fun. Was very informative about what was needed to be done and gives you plenty of time to do it.

I was grateful for how many materials that were provided for us throughout the semester including the website, Piazza, which Dr. K used to communicate with us outside of the classroom setting. Dr. K responded to every question the students asked within a couple minutes which I appreciated.

This class was also quite manageable in terms of workload. As long as you're diligent about attending class and completing assignments in a timely manner, you should do well. The professor was very clear about what was expected from us and provided ample resources to ensure our success.

All assignments had clear and direct instructions. If we had any questions, Dr. Kaiser provided a site called Piazza where he addressed your question within minutes. He is a very caring and informative professor. His grading criteria is very clear and he gives you the option to try again for a better grade.

Dr. K is a great professor. His assignments are clear and easy to understand. He is available at all times throughout Piazza and WhatsApp. This was my first college class, and I had such a great experience. Thank you, DR. K.

Dr.K is really chill but shows that he cares about how you do in the class. He does give a quite a bit of homework which is spread out into online labs, lab write ups, and LEC homework, but he has no late work policy so it can be turned in at any time. Not a difficult professor and very easy to get along with

Professor Kaiser is a great biology teacher. I took his hybrid class in the fall, as long as you don't have another science class or maybe an english class you should do great. There is a lot of work, weekly quizzes, homework, labs, lab submissions, 5 exams, 1 presentation. It is not impossible though, and many people do well. Good Luck!

Professor K is very flexible and understanding. He's good with answering questions. There's a lot of work to do such as exams, quizzes, a few discussion boards, lab write ups, labsters, the actual homework (my mastering bio), and a presentation. It's not hard to do if you stay caught up and hold yourself accountable for your work. Good luck!

I took his hibrid biology class in the spring and it was a fun experience. We do hands on labs in class and weekly hw and quizzes online. It was a heavy work load but Dr. K is understanding and doesn't give late penalties for any assignments. Overall he is a great professor and keeps his class fun and interesting.

Dr.K is a wonderful professor who was very helpful and really cares about his students' learning outcomes. He has no due dates for all assignments but WARNING!!! if you let the work pile up it will pile up but everything is doable as long as you work as you go. I recommend doing the lab reports as soon as you're done with the lab in class as well.

Dr. Kaiser's is very neat and informative but beware he is takes all of this very seriously. He treats his students like scientists and while this is good if this is your field study, I am an art major so it was more difficult for me. Overall the class is fun but tough, Dr. Kaiser really cares for his class and students. Good class!

Honestly, I loved this class very much. I did procrastinate on a lot of the work and exams since there's no late penalty, but that's all on me. If you fall behind by one week, try your hardest to catch back up as soon as you can!! Other than that, his lectures were very fun and informative.

I took this class in six weeks, so tons of homework, but it's super easy. You get three tries for everything except the exams and the best thing is that he is really chill about late submissions, so you can work at your own speed. There are 5 lab write-ups, but don't stress they're super simple. The work's manageable and I had a good time.

Dr. Kaiser was the best professor I have taken thus far and I am so glad that I had the privilege of taking his class. He does give extra credit and he will take the time to carefully explain the information in detail to you if you need it. Just keep on top of your assignments and you will be set for his class.

I highly recommend this professor. Some of his requirements are inconvenient but doable. My course was hybrid, so 90% was online. He is available outside of class. His in-class video quizzes are not disability-friendly and does not give enough time to get scantrons. He also does not give enough notice for these quizzes to be scheduled with ACCESS.

Dr. Kaiser is one of the best professors I've had. His lectures can be long but they're very helpful as he's very thorough. He has a lot of character and I'd say he's pretty easy to work with. Took BIO 100 in Fall of 23 it was a fairly easy class, homework, quizzes, and exams were all based on his lectures and textbook also all work(excluding exams) were due by the end of the semester. He is very understanding just talk to him. Lecture and lab HEAVY!!

He summarized his lectures for us in class despite it being a hybrid class. Lectures were digestible: YouTube videos with slides. We were allowed retakes & unlimited amount of time to complete assignments (DONT save it all for the end!) He answers any questions within 10 minutes of emailing, but ALWAYS read directions and/or syllabus before asking.

Professor K was amazing. He allows you to resubmit the work as many times as you need to get it correct within reason. He is focused on you learning the concepts and if you need him to break something down he will. He is a person that is passionate about teaching and you can tell when you take his class.

Dr. K was one of my favorite teachers. The class truly depends on how much effort you want to put in. There is no late work so you can turn in assignments at any time, but make sure not to let them pile up. For almost everything except the exams after every few chapters, you can turn it in as many times as you'd for full credit.

I took Dr. K both online and in person. I really liked that he would do a little review for us at the beginning of each class. We would do all our work at home so that review would help bring everything together. I really liked that everything was at your own peace. He was really understanding and was really helpful. definitely recommend!

I'd take a class from Dr.K any time! He was my absolute favorite this semester. He has such a passion for biology and what he does and you can tell by the way he teaches and cares for his students. He is very easy and quick to reach. He uses piazza to communicate the quickest and is really efficient in doing so. Stay on track and you'll be good!

I took a 6week course. I maintained an A throughout, lots of lecture videos and questions on mastering biology (required $110) and labs. Roughly 2 lectures and two labs every couple of days with four lab write ups (very difficult). And 5 exams (worth about 70-80 points and questions) there are no late penalties. no lock down browser. Much homework

Dr K is a great professor. He answers emails/messages super quickly (within an hour even on weekends) and explains everything thoroughly and well! My one complaint is he assigns A LOT of work. I'm talking, almost 100 assignments for a 16 week course. But there's no late penalties and he's very understanding. So do the work and you'll do well!

In class we do labs and they were fun to do. There is a LOT of homework/assignments but it is pretty manageable especially because he allows late work to be turned in with no penalty. There is no textbook but I recommend getting the book so you won't have to write down the notes that are already in the book. And presentation at the end of semester

Attendance is needed to do the labs with your group, a subscription to Pearson's E-textbook is also needed for the online assignments. Other than that, kaiser is a great teacher and is easy to reach on piazza and outlook. I really enjoyed the labs, especially the dissection labs near the end of the semester.

Be prepared to do a lot of work, in the beginning it may seem overwhelming but it gets easier within the first month. Labs become easier as time passes, overall a good professor. I enjoyed this class.

Very smart and understanding professor, truly understands the field he teaches and provides many opportunities to succeed. Uses a few external programs but they are easily understood. If doing an in person class make sure you show up. Very fair when it comes to grading and opportunities, would highly recommend.

He teaches the material well, but this the hybrid class consists of lots of homework and virtual labs + written ones. If you stay on pace, you will be fine. He doesn't deduct points on late work, but said he might change this. No essays, just a few exams from home and the final, which is three parts in person. Uses scantrons and print a lot.

Dr. K was a great teacher this semester. I enjoyed his class. I will say LOTS OF WORK!!! but he lets you turn things in late which is very good. Lab write ups, Labsters, Pearson (you need to buy the book its $100!!!), quizzes and exams. Plus in person labs and quizzes. He lets you pre-answer the questions for in person quizzes ahead of time.

Dr. Kaiser was a very easy going professor and he walks you through the lab before beginning it so you know exactly what to do rather than trying to navigate it blindly using the lab printouts. Make sure you print out everything you need at least the day or two days before class.

Dr. K's 6-week online class was long but worth it. He gives thorough information and answers questions within 12-24 hours. Lots of work and note-taking, but it was very fun to learn general Bio from him. Would definitely take his class again.

Not too difficult there's just a lot of bulk assignments that he gives out. Very accessible outside lectures and he's very lenient on late assignments. Overall challenging due to a lot of assignments but nothing too crazy if you stay on top of it.

You can't miss class more than 3 times and even though there is a lot of assignments, he will give you enough time and good feedback for it.
