Professor Rivera is awesome! Very clear, very understanding, fun and easy. Just make sure to study when he says their a test/quiz..Read his emails because he might give out extra cred hw, and try and work on your APA paper as soon as possible and don't leave it for the last minute. The APA paper is a huge part of your grade. Just enjoy the class.

Professor Rivera makes his class very intertaining and interesting. Unfortunately, I did not get a good grade for the class because I did not know how to do an APA style research paper and he skips through the chapters which confuse me when taking the test. Prof. Rivera is one of the best teachers I have had so far. My class was about 3hrs but he would always let us leave early. The book is optional because he uses powerpoints to teach and he is very informative. His homework is very easy and his tests are verbatim to his study guides. He brought chiropractors, we got massages and a party at the end of the class that put high school parties to shame! He's funny and his tests are easy just study. I took Professor Rivera for a social science credit and it was a great experience. The course has a lot of information and a lot of reading but he makes it easy. There were three tests and one project that made up the final grade. He is rude but he fair. I'm not the greatest student but I passed with an A.

Attendance is MANDATORY! Don't be late! Professor Rivera is very big on respect so as long as you conduct yourself well you shouldn't have a problem. His exams are based more on the notes you take in class verses the book. The reviews are the exam. You will have 3 exams and a group project. Great class I learned a lot.

Great professor. Likes to know some reading is done outside class to show you are ready to discuss and get involved in class. You won't like him if you are late or are not prepared---but you are told all of this before via the syllabus---especially since you sign that you are aware of what is expected. DEP2004 Great Professor by far one of my favorites, very funny and interesting class. He is preparing students well especially by making students memorize the different psycho-social, psycho-sexual and psycho-analytic theories. You will definitely need to know it as an education or nursing a major.
