She talks fast but after you get past that its pretty easy. She gives really good reviews before each test and gives you extra points for participation and attendence.

While she will not spoon feed you the information she is always available to answer questions and goes over the material in class and has you do classwork to make sure you understand the material. The detriment to the class is students (like the one below)who don't read the material, and expect to be "learned some accounting" with minimal effort on their part. This professor really teaches the material and you will learn it. As long as you go to class everyday you will pass the class. She really gets you inlvolved in the class and keeps your attention the whole time. I really enjoyed taking managerial accounting with this professor!

Good professor, language barrier a bit of an issue

I am taking a new class MAN 3065 Business Ethics for a new Bachelor in Supervision and Management Program. This is my first time with Pr. Burrows and after one month of the class I am sure I will learn great deal and my final grade will be an ?A?.

The class is based on 2 test ( midterm and final) and 3 case studies (papers) she counts attendance, and partisation. I took this class in 6 weeks. Got a's in all my papers , a "b" and "d" on the tests , came to class every day and participated in class discussions. I got a "b" in the class. It is an easy class, don't stress!

I was lucky I get transferred to Prof Burrows class. She uses additional material to help students to understand accounting. Even though it is a hard class, if you follow exercises & extra credit homework and focus you'll get it.

She is the best professors I have had! There is no language barrier, so that can't be used to excuse your failure and lack of effort. Her class is not difficult if you study like you're supposed to. Provides extra credit which is a lifesaver. Overall, she is a great professor and an amazing person. The sweetest, nicest, and most caring person.

Professor Burrows is fair. The majority of the grade is based on 2 multiple choice tests.(Midterm and Final) Besides the tests there are several hand written quizzes which are ticky but if you do and understand the HW you will be fine with those. As for the tests, she hints what you need to know through the semester and has a review before tests.

Very good class to learn about all most important forms and taxes returns to present and file even though it is impossible to learn about taxes in 1 class. In fact, it takes years to learn them well but take it seriously,be organized and review all material as soon as you learn and you will be just fine.

Don't be fooled by the bad ratings of students who are lazy and don't want to put in time to do well in class. Professor Burrows is great! She gives a good amount of extra credit which is something she definitely does not have to do. Using her accent as an excuse for your failure is ridiculous. Show up to all classes, she has a heavy accent so befriend some classmates to help you, she follows the syllabus (no surprises), do all the tests, do the 20 tax returns and 55 hours, she will bring food (food, sweets, & coffee), its a fun and learning experience for beginners, & final is open book (but its timed)

Tax is a very complex subject regardless the professor I suggest you take this class in person and in a complete semester no a midterm or a summer class, It is so much information to digest in such a short period of time. The class is superbly organized on BB (gem at MDC), and plenty of material is available. Group projects force you to gift As to lazy ppl, but you can rate them. In the exams, you'll find things not covered and questions seem to be designed to make you do mistakes. Slow Grader. Always responds to email. Extra credits were available.

At first the language barrier was an issue for me but I took Professor Burrows last Summer and she was wonderful looking back at it. Professor Burrows was truly caring of each of our individual learning needs and if you do the work you should be fine. Most of the tests and work is on Mindtap (super easy) and the final exam was not proctored.

This class was super easy. It consisted of 3 group assignments, mindtap assignments, 2 module exams and a proctored final. I would definitely take this professor again!
