I took her online ENG 112 course and although I never met her personally, I can tell she cares about her students success. She gives amazing feedback and responds incredibly fast to any concerns. She cares about you understanding the topic rather than grammar. She isnt a tough grader but is strict about deadlines. Easy A if you put some effort in.

Professor Abbe is the best professor I've had. Participating and showing up in class you will get an A. With every single assignment she graded, she provided helpful feedback. The student that said she kept putting her political views is wrong. We had a compare and contrast essay with the election. The point of the essay is NOT to be biased.

Professor Abbe is really nice. Her class i not easy, but if I come back I will take her class again. Her class is not boring. Getting A is not easy and need your hard work and persistence. I recommend to do your first in the beginning of class because at the end you don't feel like doing anything. Be prepare to have a lot of works for this class.

Prof. Abbe made a daunting requirement seem so easy. Years ago, I took the same course and couldn't handle it, so I stopped going to class and failed. Professor Abbe by no means is an easy A, but you definitely enjoy her way of teaching. I could not thank her more about MLA formats. She wants to make sure your will be an academic level writer. I prefer my classes to not have this much work but let's be honest, would we learn if we don't work for it?

Professor Holly was my first online English teacher. I did not know what to expect when I was coming into her class. However, I would not want any other teacher because Professor Holly is caring, inspirational, and flexible. Professor Holly truly understands the struggles of first-year students, especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The class overall is not hard, but once an assignment is past the due date, Prof. Abbe will automatically assign a 0. You will have one "phoenix pass" to use for a 3 day extension, but every other assignment needs to be submitted on time or you may as well not bother with the work.

Prof Abbe is so chill and funny. She understands the struggles of first year college students. Class is very interesting. Homework is a bit much, but other than that she's great. I am taking her for my ENG112.

I took her online and this was one of the best classes at NOVA i have ever taken. The assignments were mainly discussion boards, a project, a few papers & the criteria for everything was very clear but she was always quick to respond if you had any questions about absolutely anything. It's an English class so there will be a lot of writing!!

Professor Abbe was a joy to have as a professor. You do have to do the readings and be sure to attend every class, as there were a lot of quizzes and class participation points. However, she provides excellent feedback on your work that you turn in and has an obvious passion for her subject and her profession. Highly recommend.

Professor Abbe truly is an angel of a Professor. Do the work don't miss class participation is important so are the readings which are more than most of the time truly enjoyable and fun. She made the class feel more like a community than a class. She doesn't accept late work so don't slack. She makes you eager to learn. Definitely recommend.

Professor Abbe is the most caring professor I have met. Took her at ENG 111 then at ENG112. I found her classes are very engaging and honestly fun. Assignments are not easy but doable if you listen to her instructions. Overall, if you are looking for a well-structured and straightforward class, take her.

Professor Abbe provided great feedback, she was encouraging, and most of all, she was engaged. She graded papers in record time and gave relevant feedback instead of canned messages. Professor Abbe's performance stood out as an outlier. I would recommend her class to all English students.

Take this class!!! Professor Abbe is very understanding. Her class is very mind-opening and helps bring perspective of issues people in the US and issues people around the are facing. Phones must be shut off in class but because her classes are so interesting, it isn't an issue. There is homework every week, but is extremely doable and easy.

There is a quiz in the beginning of every class referring to an article or book that she assigned the previous week and it is timed so if you are not in class at the start you can not retake the quiz. There were only two papers that were not hard. She is very nice and the class is not hard.

She's a really caring professor, I took two of her classes (ENG 111 & ENG 112) and I do not regret it. She wants to learn and wants her students to get out of their comfort zone. It is important for you to attend and participate. Be ready to read too, weekly reading, the readings are interesting!

I took professor Abbe for her children's literature class ENG 250. It is evident that she is really passionate about children's literature and she does a good job touching each aspect of this class. She cares about her students thoughts/opinions and encourages discussion of different topics each class. Overall a really good teacher!

Professor Abbe has an incredibly bubbly and enthusiastic personality that truly shines through, alongside her passion, in her teaching. She is very approachable and has a way of making everyone feel heard and important. She values hard-work, participation, and opposing viewpoints/ interpretations. Would never not recommended her to another student.

She picks books that are enjoyable and fun to read. I am very much a person that would rather watch a movie rather then read the book but she made it fun to read the books. There are quizzes every class on the book you are reading so it forces you to keep up on the reading. She was very flexible with my class over which books to read.

Professor Abbe is so nice&caring. She really cares about what she teaches&she is progressive about showing her students the impact&importance of children's literature. You will have readings before each class and a quiz on them. She does fun projects for the end of each unit. There isn't a huge workload which is why participation matters so much.

Prof. Abbe is honestly a really awesome teacher. You can tell that she is passionate about English which makes the class more enjoyable. Yes, you will have to read and write a bit but it's an English class so that is expected. Great class, good books, fun teacher!

Amazing professor, caring, sweet. Super interesting lectures and children's books. There was a quiz every class based on the readings. But if you did the readings the quiz was very easy. With childrens literature there were many projects were you could really be creative, so much fun! She explains the material very well! 100% take her class again!

Actually the best professor I've had ever. She's super nice and has positive attitude. Understanding but also has a strict attendance policy so if that's a deal breaker I'm sorry. Other than that I really enjoyed learning from her. Definitely would take a class of hers again.

Professor Abbe is very intelligent and always has an amazing lecture to give. Attentence is required, and if you miss more then 3 classes you will be forced to withdraw/fail the class. The books are interesting and the outside of class work isn't too bad. Great professor, I would recommend!

Professor Abbe is the sweetest. Personally, I get nervous when it comes to group work, but she made the assignments fun and engaging for everyone. I even made some of my best friends through her class. She is very patient and understanding and my friends and I loved taking her class;We would defenitely recommend her and take her again if we could.

Really an amazing class and I'm so glad I took it. Quite a bit of reading but everything is YA or lower reading level. Lots of children books that are easy and quick. A super easy and fun gen ed. Not a lot of writing or essays. Definitely take this class and 100% take this professor.

Great professor, she does not accept late work, but as long as you turn your work in on time its a very easy class. The teacher is also really sweet and understanding if you have a half decent reason for missing class or homework.

Proffesor abbe is one of the nicest professors I've had. She genuinely cares about her students and wants them to pass. The only problems I had were that there were a lot more hands-on projects instead of essays, and that you could only miss 2 days of class.

Amazing professor! Classes were engaging and I actually enjoyed going to this class, it was reminding you what it was like being a child. The only bad part I guess is that you have to read a lot but then again it could be worse.
